What If Deku Had an Overpowered Triceratops Quirk for Heavy Combat

All men are not created equal.

This was the harsh, unyielding truth of the world that Izuku Midoriya learned at the tender age of four. It was a societal absolute, a silent rule written into the genetic code of humanity ever since the first glowing baby had illuminated a delivery room in Qing Qing City decades ago. Since that day, the extraordinary had become the ordinary. Dreams of comic book heroics had morphed into viable career paths. The world was now populated by the impossible, with eighty percent of the global population possessing some kind of uncanny ability known as a "Quirk."

But what determined a person’s worth in this superhuman society was not merely having a Quirk. It was the nature of the Quirk. A boy who could pull his own eyeballs out of their sockets would not receive the same adoration as a boy who could conjure fire from his palms. Power, utility, and sheer destructive capability dictated the playground hierarchy.

And at four years old, Izuku Midoriya was rapidly falling to the bottom of that hierarchy.

He was a late bloomer. Most of his kindergarten classmates had already manifested their abilities. Some could levitate wooden blocks; others could stretch their fingers like rubber bands. His best friend, Katsuki Bakugo—a boy whose pride was as volatile as the explosive sweat he had recently started secreting from his palms—had been crowned the undisputed king of the playground. Katsuki was destined for greatness, and he knew it.

Izuku, on the other hand, was just Izuku. He was small, frail, with a mop of unruly green hair and large, anxious eyes. He loved heroes—All Might above all—but as the months dragged on past his fourth birthday, an icy dread had begun to settle in his mother’s heart, a dread that Izuku, perceptive even at a young age, could feel. What if he was Quirkless?

The anxiety hung over him like a dark cloud on a sweltering Tuesday afternoon. The cicadas were screaming in the trees surrounding the local neighborhood park, their buzzing an oppressive soundtrack to the sticky summer heat. Izuku was trailing behind Katsuki, as he usually did. Katsuki was marching with the swagger of a tiny conqueror, occasionally letting off small, popping explosions from his hands just to remind the world of his presence.

"Keep up, Izuku!" Katsuki barked, not looking back. "If you fall behind, I'm leaving you in the dirt. Heroes don't wait for slowpokes!"

"I'm coming, Kacchan!" Izuku wheezed, his short legs pumping as he hurried to close the distance.

They had wandered further than usual, crossing the boundary from the brightly painted playground equipment into the denser, unkempt wooded area at the edge of the park. It was a place where the older kids usually hung out—the middle schoolers who smoked cigarettes and practiced their Quirks away from the prying eyes of adults.

And on this particular Tuesday, Izuku and Katsuki had walked right into their territory.

There were three of them, lounging against a graffiti-covered concrete tunnel. The leader was a hulking twelve-year-old with patches of rough, bark-like skin. To his left was a wiry kid with elongated, bat-like ears. But the one who stepped forward, blocking the path of the two four-year-olds, was a boy with slicked-back hair and a cruel smirk. Small flames licked lazily at the tips of his fingers, dancing across his knuckles like morbid magic tricks.

"Well, well. Look at the little babies wandering out of the sandbox," the boy mocked, extinguishing and reigniting the fire on his thumb with a sharp snap. "You lost, brats?"

Katsuki didn’t flinch. If anything, his red eyes flared with indignation. At four years old, Katsuki Bakugo possessed an ego that rivaled pro heroes, and he absolutely refused to be spoken down to, regardless of the size disparity.

"Get out of our way, extra!" Katsuki yelled, his small hands balling into fists. A tiny pop-pop echoed from his palms. "We can walk wherever we want!"

The older boy’s smirk vanished, replaced by a scowl of irritation. The other two middle schoolers snickered from the wall.

"An extra?" The fire-user took a menacing step forward, the flames on his fingers suddenly surging, growing from tiny candle-flicks into a roaring blaze that enveloped his entire hand. The intense heat washed over Izuku’s face, causing him to stumble backward in terror. "You've got a lot of mouth for a kindergartener. Maybe I should teach you some respect."

"K-Kacchan..." Izuku stammered, his voice trembling. He reached out to tug at the back of Katsuki's shirt. "We should go. They're too big..."

"Shut up, Izuku!" Katsuki snapped, slapping Izuku’s hand away. "I'm not running from some loser!"

Katsuki lunged. It was a brave, incredibly foolish move. He threw a right hook, aiming a tiny explosion at the older boy's knee. But the size difference was too vast. The middle schooler easily sidestepped the sluggish strike and shoved Katsuki hard in the chest. Katsuki hit the dirt, scraping his elbows, the breath knocked out of his lungs.

"Kacchan!" Izuku cried out, frozen in place.

"Little brat," the older boy sneered. He raised his hand, the flames roaring hotter, turning a dangerous shade of orange-blue. "Let's see how much you like being burned."

The boy thrust his fiery hand forward.

Time seemed to slow to an agonizing crawl for Izuku. He saw the flames surging toward Katsuki’s face. He saw Katsuki’s eyes widen in a rare flash of genuine fear. In that microscopic fraction of a second, something snapped inside Izuku Midoriya. It wasn't a conscious decision. It was a primal, desperate imperative woven deep into the marrow of his bones: Protect.

Before his conscious mind could even process the command to move, Izuku was diving. He threw his small, fragile body directly between Katsuki and the incoming wave of fire. He squeezed his eyes shut, crossing his arms over his face in a feeble attempt to brace for the agonizing heat. He expected pain. He expected to burn.

But the pain never came.

Instead, an explosive pressure erupted from within him. It felt as though a volcano had suddenly detonated inside his chest. His heart hammered a furious, thundering rhythm against his ribs. A terrifying, burning sensation ripped through his scalp, his back, and his arms—not the heat of the older boy's fire, but a sudden, violent expansion of his own biology.

There was a sickening CRACK-CRUNCH of shifting bone and tearing fabric.

Izuku’s green kindergarten uniform shredded into ribbons. The middle schooler’s fire washed over him, but it didn't scorch his skin. It broke against a sudden, impenetrable barrier.

The older boy gasped, stumbling backward as his flames dissipated against a massive, solid object that had suddenly materialized in front of him. He stared in absolute, unadulterated horror.

Katsuki, sitting in the dirt, looked up. His jaw dropped.

Where the small, fragile Izuku Midoriya had just been standing, something monstrous had taken his place.

Izuku had grown. He was no longer a four-year-old boy. He had rapidly expanded into a hulking, bipedal beast standing nearly six feet tall, easily towering over the middle schoolers. His skin had been replaced by incredibly thick, leathery scales the color of deep forest green, scarred with darker, mossy striations. Massive, corded muscles bulged beneath the armored hide of his arms and legs. A thick, heavy tail whipped behind him, cracking against the dirt with enough force to kick up a cloud of dust.

But it was his head that commanded absolute terror.

A massive, incredibly dense bone frill had erupted from the back of his skull, flaring out like an impenetrable crown of calcium and marrow. It was this thick, shield-like frill that had completely absorbed and deflected the fire blast without leaving a single scorch mark. Protruding from his face were three terrifying, razor-sharp horns—one sitting stoutly on his snout, and two massive, curved spikes jutting forward from above his brow, each nearly a foot long and glinting menacingly in the sunlight.

Izuku had transformed into a humanoid Triceratops.

For a moment, there was absolute silence. Even the cicadas seemed to have stopped chirping. Izuku opened his eyes. His vision was different—sharper, wider. He looked down at his massive, three-clawed hands. He felt a strange, terrifying weight pulling at his neck, though his newly fortified spine easily supported the massive bone frill. He looked up at the older boy.

Izuku didn't know what was happening. He was terrified. He opened his mouth to cry, to call out for his mother.

But what tore from his throat was not the wail of a frightened child.

"RRROOOOAAAAARRRR!"

A deafening, prehistoric bellow shattered the quiet of the park. It was a sound of sheer, unbridled terrestrial power, so loud it rattled the leaves on the trees and vibrated in the chests of everyone present. It sounded like an earthquake given voice.

The middle schooler with the fire Quirk shrieked. All bravado evaporated in an instant. He turned on his heel and sprinted away as fast as his legs could carry him, tears streaming down his face. His two lackeys didn't even wait for him; they were already scrambling over the park fence, desperate to escape the apex predator that had just materialized from thin air.

Izuku stood there, chest heaving, the monstrous roar fading into heavy, rattling breaths. Panic began to set in. What is happening? What is wrong with me? The adrenaline spiked, and as quickly as the transformation had occurred, the pressure inside him rapidly deflated. The massive bone frill receded, melting back into his skull. The scales smoothed out, reverting to soft, pale skin. The horns shrank and vanished. His towering height collapsed, and he fell forward, landing on his hands and knees in the dirt, completely naked amidst the shredded ruins of his clothes.

He was four years old again. He was crying, gasping for air, trembling violently.

A shadow fell over him. Izuku looked up, tears blurring his vision. Katsuki was standing over him. The explosive boy was staring at Izuku, his red eyes wide, pupils dilated in a mix of absolute shock, lingering fear, and undeniable awe. Katsuki looked at the scorch marks on the ground where the fire had hit, then back at Izuku.

"Izuku..." Katsuki whispered, his voice devoid of its usual arrogant bite. "What... what was that?"

Izuku sniffled, rubbing his eyes. "I... I don't know, Kacchan. It hurt. My head feels heavy."

Katsuki didn't call him a crybaby. He didn't mock him. He reached down, grabbed Izuku's bare shoulder, and hauled him to his feet. Katsuki’s expression was unreadable, a stormy mix of conflicting emotions. Up until this exact moment, Katsuki had believed he was untouchable. He had believed Izuku was a pebble on his road to becoming the Number One Hero.

But that roar. That impenetrable armor.

"You're not a pebble," Katsuki muttered, almost to himself. Then, he looked Izuku dead in the eye, a fierce, burning competitive fire igniting in his gaze. "You hid that from me! You've got an amazing Quirk, you stupid nerd!"

"I-I didn't know!" Izuku cried.

"Well, you know now!" Katsuki grabbed Izuku’s wrist. "Come on. We're going to your house. Auntie Inko needs to see this. And then..." Katsuki squeezed Izuku's wrist tight. "Then you and I are going to figure out who's stronger."

That day, the dynamic between Katsuki Bakugo and Izuku Midoriya fundamentally shifted. The moniker "Deku" was still born, but it did not mean "useless." When Katsuki called him Deku now, it was a challenge. It was the acknowledgement of a colossal wall he had to climb. Izuku was no longer the boy who needed protecting; he was the unstoppable juggernaut Katsuki swore to conquer.

Ten Years Later

"So, as third-year middle school students, it's time to start thinking seriously about your futures!"

The homeroom teacher's voice barely cut through the chaotic din of the Aldera Junior High classroom. He was holding a stack of career aptitude papers, though he held them with a distinct lack of enthusiasm. "I would hand out these career forms, but... I assume you all want to be heroes, right?"

With a dramatic flourish, he tossed the papers into the air. Instantly, the classroom erupted. Quirks flared in every direction. A student with elongated, stony fingers cheered; a girl with water for hair giggled, spraying mist into the air; a boy in the back stretched his neck across the room. It was a cacophony of teenage exuberance and superhuman potential.

"Yes, yes, you all have wonderful Quirks," the teacher chuckled, waving his hands to settle them down. "But remember, using your Quirks on school grounds is strictly forbidden!"

"Hey, teach!"

The loud, arrogant voice cut through the noise like a knife. Everyone fell silent and turned their attention to a boy slouching in his desk near the back, his feet propped up dismissively on his desk. Katsuki Bakugo smirked, leaning back in his chair. He was fourteen now, lean, muscular, and carrying an aura of dangerous confidence.

"Don't lump me in with these background characters," Bakugo scoffed, a small, controlled explosion popping in the palm of his hand. "They'd be lucky to end up as sidekicks to some busted D-lister. I'm aiming higher. A lot higher."

The class immediately erupted into angry shouts.

"Hey! Who're you calling background characters, Katsuki?!"

"You think you're better than us?!"

"I know I'm better than you!" Bakugo roared back, a feral grin spreading across his face. "I'm the only one from this crappy public school who's got the grades, the power, and the guts to get into U.A. High School! I aced the mock exams! I'm going to surpass All Might himself and become the top-ranking hero!"

"Ah, yes. Bakugo," the teacher said, glancing at a clipboard. "You are aiming for U.A. High. Your academic scores are certainly impressive."

Bakugo laughed, soaking in the mix of awe and annoyance from his classmates. "Damn straight! I'm going to be the only one from Aldera to make it to the big leagues. I'll be a legend!"

"Oh," the teacher adjusted his glasses, looking further down his list. "Midoriya. You're also applying for U.A., aren't you?"

The classroom fell so completely silent you could hear a pin drop. Slowly, every single head in the room turned to look at the boy sitting near the middle row.

Izuku Midoriya had grown up. He still had the unruly mop of green hair and the freckled cheeks, but the similarities to the frail four-year-old ended there. Izuku was noticeably larger than the rest of his classmates. While he wasn't monstrously huge in his human form, he had a thick, incredibly dense build. His shoulders were broad, his neck was thick, and the sheer density of his bone structure made his school uniform look uncomfortably tight across his chest and arms. Despite his imposing physical presence, he was currently trying to shrink into himself, burying his face in a severely charred notebook titled Hero Analysis for the Future, Vol. 13.

"Uh... yes, sir," Izuku mumbled, his voice deep but incredibly soft, rubbing the back of his neck nervously. "I-I'm going to take the entrance exam."

The silence held for exactly one second more. Then, Bakugo slammed his hands down on his desk, blowing it in half with a sudden, deafening explosion.

"DEKU!" Bakugo roared.

Izuku flinched, but he didn't cower. Over the past ten years, he had gotten used to this. Bakugo vaulted over the ruined remains of his desk and stomped down the aisle, coming to a halt right in front of Izuku. The explosive teen glared down, smoke rolling off his palms.

"I told you not to apply, you giant nerd!" Bakugo snarled, leaning in close. "U.A. is my stepping stone! I'm supposed to be the only one from this school to get in! It ruins my origin story if a heavy-footed herbivore like you tags along!"

Izuku sighed softly, closing his notebook. He looked up at his childhood friend. He didn't look angry; he just looked tired, yet resolutely stubborn. "Kacchan, we've talked about this. There's no rule saying two people from Aldera can't get in. Besides... I want to be a hero too. I want to save people."

"Save people?" Bakugo scoffed loudly, poking Izuku hard in his dense, rock-hard chest. It was like poking an anvil. "You think you can save people by just smashing everything in your path? Your Quirk is a walking disaster, Deku! You're a heavy-combat bruiser! You have zero finesse! How are you going to do rescue ops when you weigh as much as a dump truck?!"

Izuku's cheeks dusted with a faint pink. It was his sore spot. His Quirk, officially registered as Tricera-Titan, was an incredibly powerful Transformation-type ability. The doctors had explained it marvelously over the years. Izuku possessed the ability to alter his cellular structure, drawing upon vast reserves of stored kinetic energy and calories to instantaneously add mass, bone density, and armor to his body.

He could perform "Partial Transformations," manifesting only parts of his prehistoric form—a bone frill on his forearm to block a strike, thick scales over his torso to tank an impact, or extending a muscular, prehensile tail for balance. But his true power lay in his "Full Transformation." When he fully unleashed his Quirk, he shifted into a massive, fifteen-foot-long, five-ton Triceratops-humanoid hybrid. In that state, his physical strength was astronomical. He could flip cars with his horns, shatter concrete with a single step, and shrug off artillery fire thanks to his keratin-infused dermal plating.

He was, by all definitions, an overpowered juggernaut. A heavy-combat specialist designed for sheer, unadulterated destruction.

But Izuku didn't want to be a destroyer. He wanted to be a savior. He wanted to smile like All Might and pull people from the rubble. The agonizing irony of his life was that his Quirk was perfectly suited for breaking buildings, but terribly ill-equipped for delicate rescue operations. Bakugo knew this, and he used it to needle Izuku endlessly.

"I-I've been working on my control, Kacchan," Izuku said, gripping his notebook tightly. "I've been analyzing force dispersion. If I restrict my mass-shift to a quadrupedal stance, I can lower my center of gravity to minimize collateral damage to surrounding structures while maximizing forward momentum. I-I can be a shield for people!"

"A shield?" Bakugo bared his teeth in a savage grin. "Heroes aren't just shields, you idiot! They're the swords! And you're just a blunt, overgrown club! If we meet in the exam, I'll blow your stupid horns right off your head!"

"I'd like to see you try, Kacchan," Izuku replied softly, but there was a sudden, undeniable weight to his words. It wasn't a threat; it was a simple, factual statement. Bakugo’s explosions were powerful, but over the years of their "sparring" in abandoned lots, Bakugo had learned the hard way that cracking Izuku’s bone frill was nearly impossible.

Bakugo stared at him for a long, tense moment. The class watched with bated breath, well aware of the monstrous power contained within the two boys. Finally, Bakugo clicked his tongue, turning away.

"Just don't get in my way, Deku," Bakugo muttered, stuffing his hands in his pockets. "Or I'll roast you before the entrance exams even start."

As the school bell finally rang, ending the day, Izuku let out a long breath he didn't realize he was holding. He packed his charred notebook into his yellow backpack. Despite Bakugo's abrasive attitude, Izuku knew it was just Katsuki’s way of acknowledging him. They were rivals. But Izuku’s own doubts were far louder than Bakugo’s taunts.

Could a monster of heavy combat truly become a symbol of peace?

The walk home was a solitary affair. Izuku preferred taking the long route, a path that led through an underpass beneath the city's raised train tracks. It was quiet, shaded from the late afternoon sun, and it allowed him to mutter out loud about Quirk theories without drawing weird looks from pedestrians.

"If I can minimize the mass expansion in my hind legs," Izuku mumbled to himself, scribbling furiously in his notebook as he walked into the dark, echoing tunnel, "I can reduce the seismic tremor of my steps by at least forty percent. That's crucial for urban environments. If a building is structurally compromised, a full-weight sprint could cause a collapse. But... but if I rely only on partial transformation for my arms to clear debris, I lose the leverage provided by the tail counterbalance..."

He was so deep in his analysis of kinetic physics and dinosaur biology that he entirely missed the ominous, sloshing sound echoing from the manhole cover a few yards behind him.

He didn't notice the unnatural stench of rotting sewage until it was too late.

"A medium-sized meat shield..." a gurgling, wet voice rasped from the shadows. "Not an ideal hiding spot, but beggars can't be choosers. You'll do."

Izuku stopped dead in his tracks. The hairs on the back of his neck stood up. The primal, instinctual warning system hardwired into his brain screamed at him: Predator behind you.

He spun around, his eyes widening in shock. Rising from the manhole was a horrifying mass of dark green, viscous sludge. It had no solid form, save for two bulbous, manic eyes and a jagged set of crooked teeth floating within the liquid muck. It was a Villain. A terrifying, amorphous nightmare that defied physical structure.

"Don't struggle, kid!" the Sludge Villain laughed, a sound like mud bubbling in a swamp. "It'll only hurt for about forty-five seconds! Then, it'll all be over! Thanks for the body!"

The sludge surged forward like a tidal wave.

If this had been the frail, Quirkless boy of another universe, he would have been engulfed instantly. But this was Izuku Midoriya. This was the Tricera-Titan.

Panic flared, but Izuku's combat instincts, honed through a decade of dealing with explosive attacks, took over. As the sludge wrapped around his legs and shot upward to force itself down his throat, Izuku didn't scream. He took a massive, gasping breath of air, filling his lungs to capacity, and clamped his mouth shut.

Then, he activated his Quirk.

Partial Transformation: Upper Carapace.

The activation was instantaneous. The sickening crack-crunch of hyper-accelerated cellular growth echoed loudly in the tunnel. In a fraction of a second, the skin on Izuku’s arms, chest, and neck darkened to a deep, mossy green, erupting into thick, overlapping scales of pure keratin. The sleeves of his school uniform exploded outward as his biceps and forearms tripled in size, corded with dense, monstrous muscle. His fingernails elongated into thick, black talons.

But the most dramatic change was his head. His jaw broadened, his teeth flattening and thickening. His skull rapidly expanded outward and backward, forming a massive, incredibly solid shield of bone that flared out behind his neck—the triceratops frill. It was three inches thick and harder than steel. From his brow, two massive, foot-long ivory horns erupted forward, while a shorter, stouter horn pushed through his nose.

The Sludge Villain, who had been attempting to force its liquid mass down Izuku's throat and into his nose, suddenly found its entry points completely blocked by the rapid expansion of armored flesh and bone. The sludge recoiled, surprised by the sudden shift in its victim's biology.

"What the hell?!" the Sludge Villain gurgled, its eyes widening as it realized the "fragile" kid it had ambushed was suddenly a towering, armored freak of nature. "A transformation type? It doesn't matter! I'll just crush you from the outside until you pass out!"

The sludge tightened its grip, coiling thick tendrils of liquid mass around Izuku’s torso and limbs, applying crushing, python-like pressure.

Izuku gritted his teeth, his three-horned face contorting in immense strain. The pressure was intense, but his bone density had multiplied exponentially. His ribs, now thick and reinforced like steel girders, easily withstood the crushing force. He couldn't breathe, but he had already trapped oxygen in his lungs. He had time.

Think, Izuku commanded himself, his analytical mind racing even as he was buried beneath the suffocating muck. He's liquid. Blunt force trauma will just pass through him. I can't punch him. If I go for a Full Transformation, my sheer mass might cause the tunnel roof to collapse, risking civilian casualties on the street above. I have to subdue him with pinpoint force. He has eyes. He has teeth. Those are solid anchor points.

Izuku opened his glowing, reptilian eyes. Through the swirling mud, he locked onto the villain's terrified, bulbous eyes.

Target acquired.

Izuku dug his feet into the concrete floor. Even without a full transformation, his physical strength in this partial state was monstrous. He flexed his massively armored arms, fighting against the suffocating drag of the sludge. With a guttural, half-choked growl, he drove his clawed hands directly into the mass of the villain.

"Gah! You little brat!" the villain shouted, feeling the sharp claws tearing through its viscous body. "Stop fighting! I need to hide! HE is coming!"

Izuku ignored the villain's rant. His hands found what he was looking for—the physical core mass surrounding the villain's eyes and mouth. With a vice-like grip, his massive, scaled fingers clamped down hard on the fleshy, solid parts of the villain.

"AGH! LET GO!" the villain shrieked in sudden, excruciating pain.

Izuku did not let go. Instead, he pulled. With a tremendous heave of his fortified back muscles, he ripped the villain's core mass forward, destabilizing the liquid structure. The sludge holding Izuku’s legs loosened.

That was all the leverage Izuku needed.

Izuku dropped his center of gravity, planting his feet firmly. He pulled his head back, feeling the massive weight of his bone frill and the deadly points of his horns. He calculated the distance, the angle, and the density of the concrete wall of the underpass.

Smash.

With a violent, explosive thrust of his thick neck, Izuku headbutted the villain.

He didn't just hit the sludge. He drove his massive, curved brow-horns directly through the viscous liquid, hooking the villain's solid eye-stalks, and slammed his head relentlessly forward. The sheer kinetic force of the impact carried them both across the tunnel.

KRRAAACK!

Izuku slammed the villain into the concrete wall of the underpass. The impact was so severe that a spiderweb of cracks exploded across the cement. Izuku had literally impaled the Sludge Villain's solid core mass against the wall with his horns. He stood there, breathing heavily, his scaled hands gripping the villain's liquid mass to keep it from pooling away, his horns pinning the creature entirely in place.

"G-GAHH..." the villain gurgled weakly, its eyes rolling around in agony, completely incapacitated by the brute-force trauma and the fact that it was literally stapled to a wall by two massive ivory spikes.

Izuku stood frozen, his heart hammering in his chest. He held the pin, refusing to move, refusing to give the villain an inch of leeway. He was ready to maintain this stance for hours if he had to, until the police arrived. He had successfully subdued a villain. He had protected himself. He hadn't brought the tunnel down.

Suddenly, a loud, metallic CLANG echoed from the manhole cover. It flew off entirely, clattering noisily against the pavement.

"HAVE NO FEAR!"

The voice that boomed through the tunnel was not a normal human voice. It was a voice that Izuku had heard a thousand times on television, a voice that resonated with absolute authority, boundless charisma, and unyielding justice. It was a voice that vibrated in Izuku’s very bones.

"FOR I AM HERE!"

A colossal figure vaulted out of the sewer shaft, landing in the tunnel with a heavy, earth-shaking thud. The man stood well over seven feet tall, practically radiating power. He wore a simple white t-shirt and green cargo pants, but his incredibly muscular physique was unmistakable. Two blonde tufts of hair stood up on his head like a V-for-Victory sign. His face was cast in deep shadows, but his brilliant, reassuring smile illuminated the dim underpass.

It was him. The Symbol of Peace. The Number One Hero.

All Might.

Izuku's reptilian eyes widened to the size of dinner plates. He completely forgot to breathe. All Might? Here? In my neighborhood tunnel?!

All Might struck a heroic pose, cocking his fist back, ready to unleash a devastating Texas Smash upon the villain he had been tracking through the city's sewage system. "VILLAIN! YOUR RAMPAGE ENDS—"

All Might paused. He blinked, his smile faltering just a fraction in sheer confusion.

He looked at the scene before him. He had expected to find the Sludge Villain terrorizing a civilian or making a getaway. Instead, he found the villain entirely immobilized, pinned brutally against the cracked concrete wall by a teenage boy who looked like he had just stepped out of the Cretaceous period.

The boy—massively muscled, covered in green scales, possessing a terrifying bone frill and three massive horns—was holding the villain hostage, not the other way around.

"Ah," All Might said, lowering his fist slightly, his booming voice dropping an octave in surprise. "It appears... the situation is already well in hand."

Izuku realized he was staring. He realized he was pinning a villain in front of his absolute idol. Panic, far more intense than what he felt during the villain's attack, suddenly seized him.

"A-A-All Might!" Izuku stammered. Because of his transformed jaw, his voice came out as a deep, guttural rumble, sounding far more menacing than he intended. "I-I-I'm sorry! He attacked me! I was just defending myself! I-I didn't mean to steal your collar! I'm a huge fan! I have all your merchandise! The Silver Age limited edition poster, the bronze statues—"

All Might stared at the terrifying, armored beast who was currently fanboying over him with the nervous energy of a startled puppy. The contrast between the boy's horrifying, heavy-combat appearance and his utterly harmless, stuttering demeanor was so jarring that All Might couldn't help it.

He threw his head back and let out a booming, genuine laugh. "HAHAHAHA! Goodness, young man! There is no need to apologize for defending yourself! You did an excellent job!"

All Might stepped forward, reaching into his cargo pants. He pulled out two empty, two-liter plastic soda bottles. "If you would be so kind as to carefully extract your horns, I shall contain this foul-smelling evildoer."

Izuku nodded rapidly, which was a terrible idea considering he was still pinning the villain with his head. The villain groaned in pain as the horns shifted.

"R-Right! Sorry!" Izuku said. Carefully, agonizingly slowly, he pulled his head back, dislodging his horns from the villain's core mass. As soon as the villain was free, it slumped to the ground in a semi-conscious puddle of muck.

In a blur of speed so fast Izuku's enhanced eyes could barely track it, All Might swept the villain up, funneling the viscous liquid entirely into the two plastic bottles and capping them tightly. He slipped the bottles into his pockets, dusting off his hands.

"Excellent teamwork, young man!" All Might grinned, flashing a thumbs-up. "I was chasing this slippery fellow all day. He managed to evade me in the sewers. If you hadn't stopped him, he might have hurt someone far less sturdy than yourself!"

Izuku felt like his heart was going to explode out of his chest. All Might. All Might was praising him. He needed an autograph. He desperately needed an autograph.

He frantically looked around for his charred notebook. It had fallen to the ground during the scuffle. Izuku reached for it, but realizing his hands were still massive, scaly, and tipped with sharp claws, he hesitated. He didn't want to accidentally shred the book.

Taking a deep breath, Izuku focused inward. He released the kinetic tension in his cells. The transformation immediately began to reverse. The heavy bone frill melted away, receding back into his skull. The scales softened into pale, freckled skin. His massive muscles shrank back down to his dense, but normal human proportions. His school uniform, which was utterly ruined, hung in tatters around his shoulders.

All Might watched the reversion with keen interest. "A Transformation Quirk! And a powerful one at that. A dinosaur mutation? Very impressive, my boy! That kind of raw power and dense armor... you have the perfect Quirk for heavy-assault combat."

Izuku picked up his notebook, his human hands trembling. He held it out, bowing at a perfect ninety-degree angle. "A-A-All Might, sir! Please! An autograph! It would mean the world to me!"

All Might laughed warmly, taking the notebook and a pen from his pocket. He flipped it open, signing his massive, sprawling signature across a two-page spread. As he did, he glanced at the intricate notes, the detailed sketches of pro heroes, and the extensive analysis on force dispersion and civilian evacuation written on the pages.

All Might's smile softened. He looked at the boy standing before him. He saw the torn uniform, the cracked concrete wall, and the meticulous notes.

"You analyzed the situation," All Might said quietly, handing the notebook back. "You didn't just lash out. You possess incredible destructive power, yet you maintained your composure. You pinned him with surgical precision to avoid collapsing this tunnel."

Izuku blinked, slowly straightening up. He clutched the autographed notebook to his chest like a sacred relic. "Y-You noticed?"

"I am a pro, young man," All Might said gently. "It is easy to find heroes who can punch hard. It is much harder to find heavy-hitters who understand the value of restraint. Who hold back their own immense power to protect the structural integrity of their surroundings." All Might placed a massive, heavy hand on Izuku's shoulder. The warmth and weight of it was grounding. "What is your name, young man?"

"M-Midoriya. Izuku Midoriya!"

"Well, Young Midoriya," All Might said, his blue eyes piercing through the shadows of his face, shining with immense, undeniable pride. "You have the mind of a tactician, the heart of a protector, and the body of an absolute juggernaut. Keep that restraint, and keep that power. If you hone them both..."

All Might grinned, the smile of the Symbol of Peace.

"...You will become a magnificent Hero."

Izuku stopped breathing. The tunnel, the smell of the sewer, the ruined uniform—it all faded away. The words echoed in his mind, ringing with the clarity of a church bell. You will become a magnificent Hero. The greatest hero in the world, his absolute idol, had just validated his entire existence. He hadn't called him a walking disaster. He hadn't called him a blunt club. He had called him a protector.

Tears, thick and fast, welled up in Izuku's eyes. He clenched his fists, bowing his head as a sob tore from his throat. He couldn't speak. He could only nod violently.

"Now, I must be off!" All Might declared, turning toward the tunnel exit. "I must deliver this vile sludge to the police! Keep studying hard, Young Midoriya! I look forward to seeing your debut!"

With a mighty flex of his legs, All Might leaped into the air, rocketing out of the underpass and disappearing into the sky like a shooting star, leaving behind a massive gust of wind.

Izuku stood alone in the tunnel for a long time. The tears kept falling, but a massive, unstoppable smile had broken across his face. He wiped his eyes, clutching his notebook tightly.

Bakugo was wrong. He wasn't just a destroyer. He wasn't just a beast meant for breaking things.

He was Izuku Midoriya. He was the Tricera-Titan. And he was going to U.A. High School.

The path ahead was clear. The entrance exams were only ten months away. He didn't need to learn how to punch harder; his Quirk already guaranteed that he was the strongest physical combatant in his age bracket. What he needed was control. He needed to master his mass, refine his momentum, and learn to turn his horrifying destructive potential into an impenetrable shield for the innocent.

Izuku began the walk home, his steps feeling lighter despite the immense density of his bones. He had a lot of work to do. He needed to write new dietary plans to build up the necessary caloric reserves for sustained full-transformations. He needed to study urban architecture to understand load-bearing walls. He needed to be ready.

Because when the U.A. Entrance Exam arrived, the world was going to meet its newest, heaviest hero. And Izuku was going to hit them like a meteor.

The alarm clock did not stand a chance.

At exactly 5:00 AM, the shrill, electronic screech of the alarm pierced the quiet darkness of Izuku Midoriya’s bedroom. It only managed two beeps before a hand, thick-fingered and heavily calloused, slammed down upon the snooze button with the force of a falling anvil. The plastic casing of the clock cracked ominously, a testament to the fact that Izuku, even while half-asleep, possessed a resting physical strength that bordered on the absurd.

Izuku groaned, rolling over in his reinforced bed. The frame groaned in protest. Ever since his Quirk had fully stabilized over the last ten months, his base body mass had skyrocketed. He wasn't transformed right now—he was in his standard, human form—but the sheer density of his bones and muscles meant he tipped the scales at nearly two hundred and forty pounds of solid, unyielding teenager.

He threw off the covers and sat up, rubbing his eyes. Today was the day. The U.A. Entrance Exam.

The weight of the event settled over him, banishing any lingering exhaustion. He stood up, the floorboards creaking under his weight, and began his morning routine. Ten months had passed since his encounter with the Sludge Villain. Ten months since All Might, the greatest hero in the world, had looked him in the eye and told him he had what it took to be a magnificent hero.

Those words had become the fuel for an absolute furnace of determination.

Izuku walked into the kitchen, where his mother, Inko, was already awake and bustling around the stove. The kitchen smelled heavenly—a mix of roasting meats, sizzling eggs, and boiling rice.

"Good morning, Izuku," Inko said, turning around with a warm, albeit nervous, smile. "I made your favorite. And, well, everything else."

"Thanks, Mom. Morning," Izuku rumbled gently. His voice was naturally deep, a side effect of his thickened vocal cords. He sat down at the specially reinforced dining chair they had bought a few months ago.

Before him sat a breakfast fit for a professional sumo wrestler. There were a dozen scrambled eggs, a massive slab of grilled salmon, three bowls of rice packed dense, a mountain of steamed vegetables, and a protein shake that looked thick enough to patch drywall.

For anyone else, this would be a week's worth of food. For Izuku, it was just fuel.

His Quirk, Tricera-Titan, operated on the first law of thermodynamics: energy cannot be created or destroyed, only transformed. When Izuku initiated a mass-shift, expanding his body into his armored, prehistoric forms, that mass didn't just come from nowhere. His body violently converted stored calories and kinetic energy into hyper-dense cellular growth. To pull off a Partial Transformation, he needed a surplus of calories. To achieve a Full Transformation—becoming a five-ton, fifteen-foot beast—he needed astronomical reserves. If he transformed on an empty stomach, his body would cannibalize its own muscle tissue, leading to extreme fatigue or even starvation in a matter of minutes.

So, he ate. He ate with mechanical efficiency, clearing plate after plate.

"Are you nervous?" Inko asked, watching him devour the salmon. She wrung her hands into her apron, a habit she hadn't quite broken despite Izuku's growing invulnerability. She still saw the four-year-old boy who used to cry at loud noises, not the teenager who could accidentally put his fist through a brick wall if he sneezed too hard.

"A little," Izuku admitted, wiping his mouth with a napkin. "But I'm ready. I've been studying the mock city blueprints U.A. released from previous years. I've mapped out load-bearing structures, civilian evacuation protocols, and estimated the tensile strength of the robotic units they usually use. If I restrict my mass to a bipedal hybrid state, I should be able to maximize my offensive output while minimizing the seismic footprint of my footfalls. That way, I won't cause structural collapse to the surrounding buildings during a charge."

Inko blinked. "That's... very thorough, sweetie."

Izuku blushed, rubbing the back of his neck. "Sorry. Rambling. But, um... yeah. I'm ready."

He finished his meal, strapped on his yellow backpack, and headed for the door. He wore a custom-tailored tracksuit designed by a support company specifically for Quirks involving rapid mass expansion. It was made of hyper-elastic smart-fibers that would stretch seamlessly during a partial transformation and retract without tearing, though a Full Transformation would still require shedding his upper layers.

"Izuku!" Inko called out just as he grabbed the doorknob.

He turned. Inko had tears in her eyes. She ran forward and wrapped her arms around his thick waist, hugging him tight. "I'm so proud of you. No matter what happens today, you are already my hero."

Izuku smiled, a soft, incredibly gentle expression that completely contradicted his imposing physique. He hugged her back, careful to regulate his strength so he didn't crush her. "Thanks, Mom. I'll do my best."

The gates of U.A. High School were colossal, towering arches of glass and steel that looked more like the entrance to a futuristic military base than a high school. As Izuku approached the campus, he felt a genuine sense of awe wash over him. This was the pinnacle. This was where All Might had learned to be a hero.

The courtyard was swarming with hundreds of prospective students, all buzzing with nervous energy. Izuku kept his head down, trying to make himself look smaller, an impossible task given his broad shoulders and dense frame.

"Out of my way, extras."

The familiar, gravelly voice made Izuku pause. He looked up to see Katsuki Bakugo striding through the crowd with his hands shoved deep into his pockets. The crowd naturally parted for him, sensing the volatile, predatory aura rolling off the explosive teen.

"Morning, Kacchan," Izuku said warmly.

Bakugo stopped, shooting Izuku a sideways glare. "Deku. You look like a walking brick wall. Don't tell me you're already flexing your stupid bone density."

"No, this is just my base state," Izuku replied calmly. "Did you sleep well?"

"I slept like a champion," Bakugo scoffed, turning to face the massive school building. "Don't embarrass yourself today, Deku. The practical exam is going to be a bloodbath. If you hold back because you're worried about breaking a few fake buildings, you'll fail. And if you fail, I'm going to kick your ass for making Aldera Junior High look weak."

It was the closest thing to an encouragement Bakugo was capable of giving. Izuku chuckled. "I won't hold back, Kacchan. See you inside."

Bakugo offered a sharp, aggressive grunt of acknowledgment and marched forward. Izuku took a deep breath, steeling his nerves, and took his first step onto the U.A. campus.

He was so focused on visualizing the exam that he entirely missed the girl walking right beside him.

She had a round face, large brown eyes, and short brown hair that bobbed as she walked. She looked just as nervous as he was, constantly glancing up at the imposing architecture. As she took a step toward the main doors, the toe of her shoe caught hard on an uneven paving stone.

"Ah!" she yelped, her arms flailing wildly as gravity took hold. She pitched forward, bracing for the inevitable, painful collision with the concrete.

Izuku's instincts, honed by years of trying to protect himself and others, bypassed his conscious thought entirely. He saw her falling. He knew he couldn't reach out with his hands in time without overbalancing and potentially knocking her further away due to his immense weight.

So, his body found a biological shortcut.

Partial Transformation: Appendage Manifestation.

There was a sudden, sharp rip as a slit at the base of Izuku’s tracksuit pants gave way. In less than a millisecond, a massive, muscular tail erupted from the base of his spine. It was five feet long, incredibly thick, covered in dark green scales, and moved with prehensile, lightning-fast precision.

Like a whip, the tail shot out, wrapping gently but firmly around the girl's waist mere inches before her face hit the pavement.

The girl gasped, suddenly suspended in mid-air. She looked down at the concrete, then looked down at her waist, where a thick, reptilian appendage was holding her aloft. Slowly, the tail lifted her back up, setting her gently on her feet.

"Oh my gosh!" she breathed, her eyes wide with amazement. She turned around to face her savior.

Izuku was currently frozen in a posture of sheer panic. His face was entirely red, matching the color of a stop sign. The massive, scaly tail was still protruding from his lower back, swishing slightly with nervous energy. He realized he had just grabbed a girl—a very pretty girl—with his dinosaur tail on the very first day of the exams.

"I-I-I'm so sorry!" Izuku squeaked, his deep voice cracking into a higher register. He immediately deactivated the Quirk. The tail rapidly dissolved, melting back into his body in a flash of kinetic energy, leaving him looking like a completely normal, albeit incredibly flushed, teenager. "Y-You were falling! I-I didn't mean to grab you like that! I mean, I did mean to catch you, but not in a weird way! It was just a reflex! P-Please don't call the police!"

The girl stared at him for a second, processing his frantic, stuttering apology. Then, a bright, sunny smile broke across her face, and she let out a soft laugh.

"Are you kidding? That was amazing!" she beamed, clapping her hands together. "Your Quirk is so cool! A tail? That was so fast! You totally saved me from breaking my nose before the exam even started. Thank you!"

Izuku stopped waving his hands in a panic. He blinked. "C-Cool? You think it's cool?"

"Very cool!" she nodded enthusiastically. "I'm Ochaco Uraraka! I was so nervous I wasn't even watching where I was going. My Quirk makes things float, but I didn't activate it in time. If you hadn't caught me, I would've been a goner!"

"I-I'm Izuku Midoriya," he mumbled, his blush only deepening. "I-It's nice to meet you, Uraraka-san."

"Nice to meet you too, Midoriya!" Uraraka pumped her fist in the air. "Let's both do our best today, okay? Good luck!"

With a cheerful wave, she jogged toward the auditorium. Izuku stood there for a long moment, clutching his chest. His heart was hammering a furious rhythm against his ribs. I talked to a girl. I caught a girl with my tail. She smiled at me.

He took a deep breath, slapping his cheeks to refocus. Get it together, Izuku. You're here to be a hero, not a blushing mess.

The orientation was held in a massive, darkened auditorium that looked like a high-tech amphitheater. Izuku found a seat next to Bakugo, who was slouching with his arms crossed, looking thoroughly bored.

Suddenly, the stage lights flashed, and a man with towering, spiked blonde hair and a leather jacket burst onto the podium.

"WHAT'S UP, U.A. CANDIDATES?!" Present Mic, the Voice Hero, screamed into the microphone, his voice echoing with deafening amplification. "CAN I GET A 'YEAH'?!"

Silence. Absolute, pin-drop silence from the hundreds of nervous teenagers.

"KEEPING IT MELLOW, I SEE! THAT'S FINE!" Mic shouted, completely unphased. Izuku was practically vibrating in his seat.

Oh my gosh, it's the Voice Hero, Present Mic! Izuku muttered under his breath, leaning forward eagerly. I listen to his radio show every week! His ability to modulate sonic frequencies to induce vertigo or sheer concussive force is incredible! I wonder if my bone frill could deflect sound waves if I angled it correctly...

"Shut up, Deku," Bakugo hissed, elbowing Izuku hard in the ribs. Izuku’s ribs didn't give an inch, but he got the message.

Present Mic launched into the explanation of the practical exam. They would be conducting ten-minute mock urban battles in massive replica cities. The objective was to rack up points by destroying three different types of robotic villains: the 1-Pointer, the 2-Pointer, and the 3-Pointer.

Suddenly, a tall, severe-looking boy with glasses stood up in the middle of the auditorium, raising his hand rigidly. A spotlight hit him instantly.

"Excuse me, sir! I have a question!" the boy declared loudly. "On the printout, there are four types of villains listed! If this is a misprint, U.A., the most prestigious school in Japan, should be ashamed of this foolish mistake! We examinees are here in this place because we wish to be molded into exemplary heroes!"

The boy then spun around, pointing an accusatory finger directly at Izuku.

"Furthermore! You, with the curly hair and the large build!"

Izuku blinked, pointing to himself. "M-Me?"

"Yes, you! You've been muttering this entire time! It's incredibly distracting! If you're here on a pleasure trip, then you should leave immediately!"

A few kids in the crowd snickered. Izuku felt a hot flush of embarrassment, but before he could shrink into his seat, a sudden, unfamiliar wave of confidence washed over him. He wasn't the frail, defenseless Deku anymore. He had a Quirk. He had a purpose. And he didn't like being talked down to.

Izuku stood up. Because of his massive frame, standing up made him tower over the seats around him. The snickering instantly died down as the kids in the rows behind him realized just how physically imposing the muttering boy actually was.

Izuku bowed respectfully to the boy with glasses, but his voice, deep and resonant, carried easily through the silent auditorium.

"I apologize if my muttering distracted you," Izuku said politely but firmly. "I was merely analyzing Present Mic's Quirk applications. Tactical analysis is a crucial component of hero work, is it not? I assure you, I am taking this exam very seriously. I'll keep my voice down."

The boy with glasses blinked, clearly taken aback by the articulate and calm response from someone he had assumed was just a meathead. He adjusted his glasses, clearing his throat. "I... see. I accept your apology. Let us both strive for excellence."

He sat down quickly.

"ALRIGHT, ALRIGHT, SETTLE DOWN EXAMINEES!" Present Mic yelled, cutting the tension. "To answer Examinee 7111's question! The fourth villain is the ZERO-POINTER! It’s an obstacle! A massive gimmick that will rampage through the city! It's worth zero points, so my advice? Run away if you see it!"

Izuku noted that down mentally. An environmental hazard designed to test spatial awareness and threat assessment. Avoid it to maximize efficiency.

"THAT'S ALL FROM ME!" Mic roared. "I'LL LEAVE YOU WITH OUR SCHOOL MOTTO! GO BEYOND... PLUS ULTRA! NOW, GO BREAK A LEG!"

Izuku stood before the towering, incredibly thick steel gates of Battle Center B. He was dressed in his form-fitting, hyper-elastic green tracksuit. Around him, dozens of other applicants were stretching, hyping themselves up, or looking pale with nausea. Izuku spotted Uraraka a few yards away, taking deep breaths and slapping her cheeks. He also saw the strict boy with the glasses stretching his legs.

Izuku closed his eyes and began his physical preparation. He regulated his breathing, drawing massive amounts of oxygen into his lungs. He focused on his core, feeling the dense reserves of caloric energy he had consumed that morning. He didn't want to use his Full Transformation right away—it was too taxing, too destructive, and overkill for low-tier robots.

He needed the sweet spot. He needed the Bipedal Hybrid State.

"Oi, Deku."

Izuku opened his eyes. Bakugo was standing next to him, rotating his shoulders. His red eyes were burning with anticipation.

"Kacchan. You're in Center B too?" Izuku asked.

"Looks like it," Bakugo smirked. He held up a fist, small sparks popping across his knuckles. "Don't get in my way. And don't hold back. If you score less than me, I'll never let you hear the end of it."

Izuku smiled, raising his own massive fist. He bumped it against Bakugo's. "I'm not holding back, Kacchan. Let's see who gets the top score."

Suddenly, the massive speakers above the gate crackled to life.

"START!" Present Mic's voice screamed.

The applicants hesitated. They looked around, confused by the lack of a countdown.

"WHAT'S THE MATTER?! THERE ARE NO COUNTDOWNS IN REAL BATTLES!" Mic yelled. "RUN, RUN, RUN! THE DIE IS CAST!"

Izuku didn't wait for the others. The moment Mic said "Run," Izuku unleashed his Quirk.

Partial Transformation: Bipedal Juggernaut.

The shift was violent and instantaneous. A concussive wave of air burst from Izuku’s body as his cellular mass exploded outward. The green tracksuit stretched taut over rapidly expanding muscles. Thick, impenetrable green scales erupted across his arms, back, and legs. His neck thickened massively, and with a sickening crunch of bone, the colossal, three-inch-thick triceratops frill expanded from the back of his skull, flaring out like a crown of armor. Three lethal ivory horns pierced through the skin of his face. His massive tail whipped out behind him, slamming into the pavement to serve as a counterbalance.

He wasn't a full dinosaur—he still stood on two legs, maintaining a humanoid posture—but he was now an eight-foot-tall, heavily armored beast of pure muscle and keratin.

Izuku dropped his center of gravity, his massive, clawed feet digging into the concrete.

BOOM.

The ground shattered beneath his feet as he launched himself forward. He moved with a speed that defied his massive bulk, a kinetic cannonball tearing through the open gates. The wind roared past his ears. He left the rest of the applicants staring in absolute, stunned silence.

"What... what is that guy?!" a random applicant gasped.

"Hurry up, you idiots!" Bakugo roared, blasting himself forward with explosions. "That herbivore is going to steal all the points!"

Izuku tore down the main street of the mock city. His enhanced vision immediately picked up movement. A massive, green, one-wheeled robot—a 1-Pointer—rolled out of an alleyway, its red targeting eye locking onto Izuku.

"TARGET ACQUIRED," the robot droned mechanically.

Izuku didn't slow down. He didn't swerve. He merely lowered his head, bringing his massive brow horns forward, and accelerated.

Crash.

It wasn't even a fight. It was a collision of physics. Izuku struck the 1-Pointer dead center. The massive force of the impact crumpled the robot's armor like aluminum foil. Izuku didn't stop; he quite literally bulldozed through the machine, shattering its chassis into a dozen pieces of flying shrapnel, and kept running.

One point.

High above the mock cities, in a darkened observation deck hidden within U.A.'s central tower, the faculty of U.A. High watched the monitors. The room was illuminated by the glow of dozens of screens, each tracking different applicants across the various battle centers.

"We have quite a crop this year," a small, white animal in a tailored suit—Principal Nezu—said cheerfully, sipping a cup of tea. "A wide variety of Quirks. Excellent mobility, solid offensive capabilities."

"Look at this one in Center A," Midnight, the R-Rated Hero, pointed her whip at a screen showing a boy with half-white, half-red hair effortlessly freezing an entire street of robots. "Todoroki. Endeavor's boy. He's practically treating this like a leisurely stroll."

"And the explosive boy in Center B is highly aggressive," Snipe noted, watching Bakugo blast a 3-Pointer out of the air. "Good combat instincts, but a bit reckless."

In the back of the room, All Might stood in his deflated, skeletal form, his eyes locked onto one specific screen. A proud, unmistakable smile was etched onto his gaunt face.

"Speaking of Center B..." Eraserhead, Aizawa Shota, muttered from his sleeping bag in the corner. His tired eyes narrowed as he watched screen number four. "Who the hell is the Kaiju?"

The teachers turned their attention to the screen Aizawa indicated.

On the monitor, Izuku Midoriya was putting on an absolute masterclass of heavy combat. The screen showed a 2-Pointer—a mechanical scorpion-like drone—lunging at the green-scaled teenager. The boy didn't flinch. He planted his feet, brought up his heavily armored left arm, and allowed the robot's stinger to strike him.

The stinger shattered against Izuku’s scales.

With blinding speed, Izuku grabbed the robot's mechanical arm, dug his heels in, and whipped his upper body around. The sheer torque generated by his hips and back lifted the massive machine entirely off the ground. He didn't just throw it; he used his heavy tail as a fulcrum to amplify the spin, launching the 2-Pointer directly into the path of an oncoming 3-Pointer. The two machines collided in a spectacular explosion of metal and sparks.

"Good lord," Power Loader, the Support Course teacher, gasped, leaning closer to the screen. "Look at the kinetic output! He's dismantling military-grade chassis with his bare hands! The tensile strength required for those maneuvers is off the charts!"

"It's a Transformation Quirk," Hound Dog growled in appreciation. "An incredibly potent one. A dinosaur? Triceratops, by the look of the frill and horns. Heavy defense, devastating charge."

"But look closely," Nezu said, his black eyes twinkling with interest. He tapped a button, replaying the throw. "Notice his trajectory."

The teachers watched the replay. Izuku threw the 2-Pointer into the 3-Pointer, but he deliberately threw it at a sharp upward angle. The explosion occurred in mid-air, raining debris straight down onto the empty street.

"He's actively controlling the collision vectors," Nezu murmured in delight. "If he had thrown it horizontally, the robots would have crashed into the building behind them, potentially compromising the structural integrity and risking injury to unseen participants. He possesses overwhelming physical force, yet he is utilizing it with surgical precision to minimize collateral damage."

"He's a brute," Aizawa said dryly, though there was a hint of approval in his tone, "but a smart brute. He has spatial awareness. He's currently sitting at fifty-five points. He's dominating the center."

All Might felt a surge of immense pride. You're doing it, Young Midoriya. You're showing them that heavy combat isn't just mindless destruction. You're fighting like a true Hero!

"Well then," Nezu smiled, his paw hovering over a large red button on the console. "Let's see how they handle the true test of this exam. It's time to separate the wheat from the chaff. Let's introduce the environmental hazard."

Nezu pressed the button.

Down in Battle Center B, Izuku skidded to a halt, breathing heavily. He was currently sitting at sixty-eight points. His muscles burned, and the massive calorie drain of maintaining the Bipedal Hybrid State was starting to take a toll. He could feel his stomach rumbling.

Sixty-eight points should be enough to pass, Izuku calculated, wiping sweat from his scaled forehead. I've demonstrated offensive capability, defense, and mobility. I should probably dial back the transformation to conserve energy for the last three minutes...

Suddenly, the ground beneath his feet violently shuddered.

It wasn't a small tremor. It felt like a localized earthquake. The glass in the windows of the surrounding mock buildings rattled furiously, some shattering from the vibration.

A shadow fell over the street. Izuku looked up, his reptilian eyes widening in sheer, unadulterated shock.

At the end of the main avenue, the buildings were suddenly dwarfed by the emergence of a colossal machine. It rolled forward on massive, tank-like treads, its towering, humanoid upper body rising hundreds of feet into the air. It was a skyscraper given sentience. Its single, glowing red eye swept over the battle center like a wrathful god.

With a deafening mechanical roar, the Zero-Pointer slammed its massive fist into a nearby building, annihilating the structure in a single blow. Dust and debris rained down like a concrete thunderstorm.

The immediate reaction of the applicants in the street was instantaneous, utter panic.

"WHAT IS THAT THING?!"

"RUN! PRESENT MIC SAID IT WAS AN OBSTACLE! RUN AWAY!"

Dozens of teenagers turned and sprinted in the opposite direction, abandoning the fight. Izuku felt his own survival instincts kicking in. His rational mind screamed at him to follow them. It's worth zero points. Engaging it is a waste of energy and incredibly dangerous. The logical move is to retreat and find cover.

Izuku turned to run.

"Ow... help... my leg..."

The voice was faint, barely audible over the roaring engines of the behemoth, but Izuku’s enhanced, reptilian hearing caught it.

He froze. He turned his head back toward the rampaging machine.

Through the thick cloud of dust kicked up by the falling building, Izuku saw a figure on the ground. It was the girl from the entrance. Uraraka. A massive slab of concrete rubble from the destroyed building had fallen, pinning her leg to the street. She was struggling weakly, trying to push it off, but she was exhausted, and the Zero-Pointer was rolling directly toward her.

In ten seconds, those massive treads would crush her into paste.

The other applicants were running past her, too consumed by panic to notice. Even the boy with the glasses, who had demanded excellence, was sprinting away, looking back in horror.

Izuku didn't think. The analytical, calculating part of his brain—the part that counted points and worried about structural integrity—instantly shut down. It was replaced entirely by the primal, overriding imperative that defined his very soul.

Save her.

Izuku dropped into a crouch. He slammed his fists into the concrete. He took a massive, shuddering breath, drawing upon every single ounce of stored energy within his cells.

Full Transformation: Tricera-Titan.

The ensuing biological explosion was so violent it created a localized shockwave. The remaining scraps of his tracksuit upper-half shredded into dust.

His bones rapidly thickened to the density of titanium. His torso expanded exponentially, dropping his posture forcefully from two legs to four. His arms transformed into massive, pillar-like forelegs ending in three thick, ivory hooves. His hind legs bulged with unimaginable muscle mass. His skin erupted into overlapping, impenetrable plates of dark green, jagged armor. His tail thickened to the size of a tree trunk, acting as a massive anchor.

His skull surged forward, elongating into a massive, heavily armored beak. The bone frill on his neck expanded wildly, growing into a gargantuan, five-foot-wide shield of solid, spiked bone that completely covered his neck and shoulders. And from his brow, two colossal, forward-curving horns erupted, each nearly four feet long and thick as steel girders.

When the dust cleared, the teenage boy was gone. In his place stood an apex predator of the Cretaceous period, revived and mutated by modern genetics. He was fifteen feet long, stood nearly seven feet tall at the shoulder, and weighed a staggering five tons.

He was a living, breathing tank.

Izuku dug his massive front hooves into the pavement. He lowered his heavily armored head, pointing his massive horns directly at the approaching Zero-Pointer.

He didn't roar. He just pushed off.

The sheer force of his acceleration shattered the street for thirty feet behind him, kicking up a rooster-tail of shattered asphalt and dirt. He was a five-ton missile of muscle and bone, charging forward at an absolutely terrifying speed.

THUD. THUD. THUD. THUD.

The ground shook, this time not from the robot, but from the charging dinosaur.

In the observation room, the teachers leapt out of their seats.

"Good god!" Present Mic yelled, his sunglasses slipping down his nose. "He went full beast mode! Look at the size of him!"

"He's charging the Zero-Pointer!" Snipe yelled. "He's going to kill himself! The mass difference is too great!"

"No," All Might whispered, gripping the console so hard the metal groaned. He leaned closer to the screen, his eyes wide. "Look at his angle."

Down in the street, Uraraka watched in tearful horror as the massive treads of the Zero-Pointer bore down on her. She squeezed her eyes shut, waiting for the end.

A massive gust of wind hit her, followed by a deafening, metallic CRUNCH.

Uraraka opened her eyes.

Standing over her, creating a protective dome with his massive, armored body, was a gigantic green dinosaur. The beast had collided head-on with the Zero-Pointer.

But Izuku hadn't aimed for the impenetrable armor of the robot's chest. He was too smart for that. He had aimed low. He had aimed for the weak point of any tracked vehicle: the locomotion system.

Izuku’s mach-speed charge had driven his colossal brow horns directly into the gears and housing of the robot's right tread. The sheer kinetic impact of five tons of hyper-dense bone moving at sixty miles per hour was devastating. The horns pierced the thick metal plating, embedding themselves deeply into the robot's internal machinery.

The Zero-Pointer ground to a violent halt, its right tread completely jammed and shattered by the massive horns wedged inside it. The immense momentum of the robot was suddenly arrested on one side.

Izuku didn't stop. He was fully committed. The robot was towering over him, but Izuku had leverage.

With a guttural, earth-shaking bellow that vibrated through the entire mock city, Izuku planted his four massive, pillar-like legs. He engaged the monumental muscles of his back, shoulders, and his incredibly thick neck. He utilized the robot's own arrested forward momentum against it.

He heaved his head upward.

It was an impossible feat of strength. The physics defied logic, fueled purely by the monstrous output of an overpowered Quirk. The horns, locked deep within the tread, acted as a massive pry-bar.

Slowly, agonizingly, with the horrific screeching of tearing metal and bursting hydraulics, the right side of the colossal Zero-Pointer began to lift off the ground.

Uraraka gasped. The other applicants, who had stopped running to watch the spectacle, stood paralyzed in absolute disbelief.

"H-He's lifting it!" the boy with glasses shouted, his jaw unhinged. "He's literally lifting a skyscraper!"

Izuku roared again, a sound of pure, unadulterated exertion. His muscles bulged so hard it looked like his scales were going to split. He gave one final, colossal thrust of his neck.

The center of gravity shifted. The Zero-Pointer tipped past the point of no return.

Like a felled titan, the colossal machine toppled backward. It crashed into the empty street behind it with a concussive boom that sent a shockwave of dust and debris flying over the mock city. The impact destroyed the robot instantly, rendering it a massive heap of sparking scrap metal.

Silence descended upon Battle Center B. The only sound was the hissing of severed hydraulics from the fallen robot.

Izuku slowly pulled his horns free from the torn metal of the tread. He stood there, a massive, imposing silhouette amidst the dust, panting heavily. The sheer caloric drain of the feat hit him like a physical blow. His vision blurred.

He looked down at Uraraka. The girl was staring at him, her eyes shining with tears and utter awe.

Izuku wanted to ask if she was okay. He wanted to give her a reassuring smile. But the exhaustion was total.

The biological mechanisms of his Quirk forcibly disengaged to save him from starving to death on the spot. In a violent release of steam and shifting mass, the massive Triceratops evaporated, rapidly shrinking down until Izuku Midoriya lay unconscious on the cracked pavement, wearing nothing but the shredded remains of his tracksuit pants.

"TIME IS UP!" Present Mic's voice blared over the speakers.

The exam was over.

Uraraka ignored the announcement. She ignored the pain in her leg. She frantically pushed the rubble aside—it had shifted slightly when Izuku shook the ground—and crawled over to the unconscious boy.

"Midoriya!" she cried, gently shaking his bare shoulder. "Midoriya, wake up! Are you okay?!"

From the crowd of stunned applicants, Bakugo stepped forward. He stared at the massive, downed robot, then at the smoking, unconscious form of his childhood rival. Bakugo's fists were clenched tight. He had scored seventy points. He had thought he was the undisputed king of the exam.

But looking at the fallen Zero-Pointer, Bakugo knew the truth.

"You crazy, overpowered idiot," Bakugo muttered, a small, uncharacteristic smirk tugging at the corner of his mouth. "You actually did it."

A small, elderly woman in a nurse's outfit suddenly appeared, walking with a cane shaped like a syringe. Recovery Girl had arrived on the scene.

"Out of the way, out of the way," she ordered, shuffling up to Izuku. She looked at his pale, exhausted face, then looked up at the colossal, ruined robot he had just suplexed.

"Goodness gracious," Recovery Girl sighed, shaking her head. "It seems we have another one who doesn't know the meaning of restraint. But..." She smiled softly, pressing her lips to Izuku's forehead to trigger his natural healing processes. "He certainly has the spirit of a hero."

In the observation room, the monitors faded to black. The silence among the faculty was heavy, pregnant with the realization of what they had just witnessed.

Aizawa Shota pulled himself out of his sleeping bag. He looked at the blank screen that had been monitoring Center B, a small, dangerous smile creeping onto his usually tired face.

"He's got zero finesse," Aizawa stated bluntly. "He's reckless, destructive, and his caloric maintenance is going to be a nightmare for the school's budget."

"But?" Nezu prompted cheerfully.

"But," Aizawa turned toward the door, "he just flipped a building-sized robot to save a single applicant. I want the Kaiju in my class."

All Might turned away from the console, coughing quietly into his hand, trying to hide the massive, proud grin splitting his face. Izuku Midoriya hadn't just passed the test.

He had shattered the scale entirely.

The letter from U.A. High School had not come in a standard envelope. It had been delivered as a heavy, metallic disc that, upon being placed on Izuku Midoriya’s desk, projected a high-definition hologram of All Might himself. The Symbol of Peace had bellowed with characteristic enthusiasm, announcing that Izuku had not only passed the written exam with flying colors but had completely shattered the practical exam’s scoring system. He had earned sixty-eight villain points and an unprecedented sixty rescue points for his astonishing feat against the Zero-Pointer.

First place. Undisputed.

Now, a week later, Izuku stood outside the towering door of Class 1-A. The door was absurdly large, easily big enough to accommodate the most massive of Mutation Quirks. For the first time in his life, Izuku felt mildly proportionate to his surroundings, though his broad shoulders still made the standard U.A. uniform blazer look as though it were tailored for a professional bodybuilder rather than a fifteen-year-old boy.

He took a deep breath, his densely corded chest expanding, and slid the massive door open.

"Get your feet off that desk! Do you have no respect for the upperclassmen who came before us, or the craftsmen who built this furniture?!"

"Huh?! What's your problem, four-eyes?! Which crappy middle school did you go to?!"

Izuku smiled wryly. The loud, volatile barking was instantly recognizable. Katsuki Bakugo was already making friends. Izuku stepped into the classroom, the heavy thud of his reinforced sneakers drawing the attention of the room.

The tall boy with the glasses—the same one who had called Izuku out in the auditorium—froze, his hand still chopping the air rhythmically. He immediately pivoted, his eyes widening slightly as he took in Izuku’s massive frame.

"Ah! You're the boy from the entrance exam!" The bespectacled student marched over, stopping exactly two feet away and bowing perfectly. "I am Tenya Iida, from Somei Private Academy! I must apologize for my previous behavior! You realized there was a hidden rescue metric to the practical exam, didn't you? You saw the true purpose of the Zero-Pointer! I misjudged you entirely!"

Izuku waved his hands frantically, immediately reverting to his shy baseline. "N-No! Not at all! I didn't know about any hidden points! I just saw someone in trouble and moved! I-I'm Izuku Midoriya, by the way. Nice to meet you, Iida-kun!"

"Midoriya!"

Izuku turned to see Ochaco Uraraka beaming at him, bouncing on the balls of her feet. "I was hoping we'd be in the same class! I wanted to thank you properly for saving me! When you lifted that giant robot... oh my gosh, that was the coolest thing I've ever seen! Like a superhero movie!"

Izuku’s face immediately flushed the color of a ripe tomato. "I-It was nothing! R-Really! I'm just glad you didn't get crushed!"

"If you're just here to make friends, you can pack up your things and leave."

The voice was flat, exhausted, and completely devoid of warmth. Izuku, Iida, and Uraraka snapped their heads toward the front of the room. Lying on the floor in a bright yellow sleeping bag was a man who looked like he hadn't slept in a decade. He unzipped the bag, stepping out to reveal a scruffy face, bloodshot eyes, and a tangled mess of black hair. He slung a thick, scarf-like capture weapon around his neck.

"It took you all eight seconds to quiet down," the man droned, pulling a juice pouch from his pocket. "Time is a limited resource. You kids lack rationality. I'm your homeroom teacher, Shota Aizawa."

The class gasped. Homeroom teacher?!

Aizawa reached into his sleeping bag and pulled out a stack of blue and white P.E. uniforms. "Put these on and meet me on the training field. We're doing a Quirk Apprehension Test."

The sun beat down on the sprawling athletic fields of U.A. High. Class 1-A stood in a loose cluster, fidgeting in their P.E. uniforms. Izuku tugged uncomfortably at the collar of his shirt. The standard-issue tracksuits were meant to be one-size-fits-all, but the material was struggling valiantly to contain the sheer density of his biceps and chest.

"A Quirk Apprehension Test?!" Uraraka gasped. "But what about the entrance ceremony? The orientation?!"

"If you're going to become a hero, you don't have time for leisurely events," Aizawa said, his back turned to them. "U.A.'s selling point is how unrestricted its traditions are. That also applies to how the teachers run their classes. You kids have been doing these standardized physical fitness tests since junior high, right? Sit-ups, fifty-meter dash, softball throw. But they always forbade the use of your Quirks. It's irrational."

Aizawa turned, his dark eyes locking onto the most aggressive student in the class. "Bakugo. You finished first in the practical exam, didn't you? What was your best result for the softball throw in junior high?"

"Sixty-seven meters," Bakugo grunted, stepping forward.

"Try doing it with your Quirk," Aizawa instructed, tossing a baseball to the explosive teen. "Stay within the circle. Do whatever you want, just don't leave the ring."

Bakugo caught the ball. A feral, deeply terrifying grin spread across his face. He stepped into the throwing circle, rolling his shoulder. Izuku watched closely. He knew Bakugo’s combat mechanics intimately. Bakugo relied on localized, hyper-compressed blasts of nitroglycerin-like sweat to generate staggering kinetic force.

Bakugo wound up, pitching his arm back. As he hurled the ball forward, he ignited a massive explosion precisely at the point of release.

“DIE!” Bakugo roared.

The shockwave rattled the teeth of everyone in the front row. The ball rocketed into the sky, leaving a trail of black smoke in its wake, before disappearing from sight entirely.

The class stood in stunned silence. Aizawa raised a small electronic device. It beeped. He turned the screen around to show the class.

705.2 meters.

"Know your own maximum first," Aizawa said lazily. "That is the most rational way to form the foundation of a hero."

"Seven hundred meters?! Are you kidding me?!" a boy with electric blonde hair, Kaminari, yelled.

"This looks like so much fun!" a pink-skinned girl, Ashido, cheered. "We can finally use our Quirks as much as we want!"

Aizawa’s eyes darkened. A heavy, oppressive aura suddenly flooded the field, suffocating the students' excitement in an instant.

"Fun, huh?" Aizawa muttered softly. "You have three years to become heroes. Will you maintain that attitude the whole time? Fine. Whoever ranks last in total points across all eight tests will be judged to have no potential and will be punished with expulsion."

The class erupted in panic, but Izuku remained perfectly still. Expulsion on the first day? It was harsh. It was brutal. But Izuku felt no fear. He looked down at his massive, calloused hands. He had trained too hard, calculated too many kinetic vectors, and eaten far too much protein to be sent home now.

"First up," Aizawa announced, "The fifty-meter dash."

Izuku was paired in the second heat against Iida. As they stepped up to the starting line, Iida adopted a perfect runner's crouch, the exhaust pipes on his calves humming with engine power.

Izuku didn't crouch like a runner. He dropped entirely to all fours.

"Midoriya-kun?" Iida asked, adjusting his glasses. "What kind of starting stance is that?"

"I'm adjusting my center of gravity, Iida-kun," Izuku replied gently, though his voice was rumbling deeper. "My base mass is too high for a standard bipedal sprint. I need more traction."

Aizawa raised his hand. "Ready... Go!"

The moment the starting pistol fired, Izuku activated his Quirk.

Partial Transformation: Quadrupedal Shift.

He didn't go full dinosaur—that would be a waste of energy—but the shift was instantly terrifying. His arms and legs expanded, thick, mossy-green scales erupting over his limbs. His fingers fused and thickened into massive, clawed hooves. A thick tail whipped out behind him to act as a rudder. His spine curved, and his bone density tripled in a fraction of a second.

Iida blasted off the starting line in a burst of engine exhaust, rocketing down the track like a missile. But Izuku didn't run. He lunged.

Like a massive, scaly cheetah, Izuku dug his front claws into the dirt track. The ground literally exploded beneath him.

BOOM.

With a single, devastating thrust of his hyper-dense hind legs, Izuku launched himself forward. He covered twenty meters in a single bound, his massive body moving with an aerodynamic grace that completely belied his five-ton potential. He hit the ground, his front claws tearing deep gouges into the U.A. track, and leaped again.

Iida crossed the finish line. "3.04 seconds," the robotic voice announced.

A split second later, a massive green blur soared across the line, coming to a halt by digging its claws into the dirt and skidding for another ten yards, tearing up a massive trench in the grass.

"3.15 seconds."

Izuku stood up, allowing the scales and tail to melt away in a hiss of kinetic steam. He dusted off his hands. He was slightly slower than Iida's pure speed Quirk, but the sheer explosive acceleration left the rest of the class with their jaws on the floor.

"H-He just cleared fifty meters in two jumps," Kaminari stammered, pointing a trembling finger at the ruined track. "What the hell is he made of?!"

The tests continued. For the grip strength test, Izuku didn't even need to transform. He simply squeezed the machine in his base human state. The digital counter rolled up to 540 kg before the plastic casing cracked and the internal spring completely shattered. Izuku immediately apologized to Aizawa, bowing frantically while clutching the broken machine. Aizawa just sighed and marked him down.

In the standing long jump, Izuku shifted his legs, utilizing the massive, spring-like muscles of his hindquarters to clear the sandbox entirely, landing in the grass with a heavy thud. For the side steps, his immense bulk made him a bit sluggish, but he still scored solidly above average.

Then came the softball throw.

Uraraka had just gone, utilizing her Zero Gravity Quirk to score an infinite distance, leaving the class cheering.

"Midoriya. You're up," Aizawa called out.

Izuku stepped into the circle. He picked up the softball. It felt incredibly small in his large hands. He knew he could throw it far in his base form, but to guarantee his spot at the top of the leaderboards, he needed to utilize his Quirk. He had spent months calculating this exact maneuver.

In the crowd, Bakugo narrowed his eyes, tiny sparks popping in his palms. Let's see it, Deku. Show me what you've got.

Aizawa watched Izuku closely through the heavy strands of his scarf. Izuku Midoriya. His file says he can manipulate his mass and cellular density to mimic a prehistoric beast. At the entrance exam, he went out of control, fully transforming and completely draining his stamina to lift the Zero-Pointer. Let's see if he's learned anything, or if he's just another meathead who can't control his output.

Aizawa didn't activate his Erasure Quirk. He wanted to see Izuku's decision-making process.

Izuku took a deep breath. He didn't need a Full Transformation for this. He needed localized torque and a counterbalance.

Partial Transformation: Asymmetrical Shift.

Izuku squeezed his eyes shut. The right sleeve of his P.E. uniform ripped open with a loud tear. His right arm rapidly expanded, growing twice as thick, covered in dark, impenetrable scales and corded with monstrous, bulging muscles. At the same moment, with a sharp crack of his spine, his heavy, prehensile tail erupted from his lower back, swinging wide behind him.

He didn't manifest his frill or his horns. He kept his core completely human to conserve energy.

Izuku dropped his left shoulder, drawing his massively augmented right arm back. His tail swung sharply to the left, acting as a perfect counterbalance to the immense weight of his throwing arm.

He stepped forward. He didn't just throw the ball; he whipped his entire body. The tail snapped right, whipping his hips forward. The kinetic energy traveled up his spine, into his shoulder, and down his heavily scaled arm.

With a deafening sonic boom, Izuku released the ball.

The wind pressure generated by the throw alone blew the hats off the nearest students. The softball didn't just fly; it ignited slightly from air friction, rocketing into the clouds like an artillery shell.

Izuku immediately dropped the transformation. The massive arm shrank back to normal, the tail receding into his spine. He exhaled a long breath of steam, looking back at Aizawa.

Aizawa stared at his device. He blinked slowly, then turned the screen to the class.

706.0 meters.

Exactly point-eight meters further than Bakugo.

Izuku looked over at his childhood rival and offered a small, challenging smile.

"DEKU!" Bakugo roared. The explosive teen was suddenly airborne, launching himself at Izuku with palms crackling. "HOW THE HELL DID YOU CALIBRATE THAT SO PERFECTLY?! YOU THINK YOU'RE BETTER THAN ME?!"

Before Bakugo could reach him, a thick, gray cloth shot out, wrapping tightly around Bakugo’s torso and pinning his arms to his sides.

"What the...?! This cloth is stiff!" Bakugo struggled, his explosions suddenly fizzling out.

"It's a capture weapon made of carbon fibers woven with metal wire," Aizawa said, his eyes glowing a menacing red, his hair floating wildly above his head. "Stop using your Quirk. I have dry eye, and you're irritating me."

Aizawa blinked, releasing the cloth. Bakugo hit the dirt, glaring daggers at Izuku, who just rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly.

When the final results were tallied, Yaoyorozu Momo took first place. Izuku Midoriya placed a comfortable second, easily dominating the physical tests without exhausting himself. Bakugo came in third. Mineta, a small boy with purple balls on his head, came in last.

"By the way, I was lying about the expulsion," Aizawa said flatly, turning to walk away. "It was a rational deception to draw out your upper limits."

The class collectively shrieked, save for Yaoyorozu and Izuku, who both suspected as much.

Izuku smiled, looking down at his hands. He was in. He had survived the first day.

The true test, however, arrived the next afternoon.

"I AM... COMING THROUGH THE DOOR LIKE A NORMAL PERSON!"

All Might burst into the classroom, striking a heroic pose that completely defied the definition of "normal." The class erupted into absolute hysteria, marveling at the Silver Age costume and the sheer, overwhelming presence of the Number One Hero.

"Welcome to Hero Basic Training!" All Might boomed. "The class that will put you through all sorts of special training to mold you into true heroes! And for your first lesson..." He brandished a card with the word "BATTLE" written on it. "Combat Training! And to go with it... your Hero Costumes!"

Rows of numbered briefcases slid out from the wall.

Twenty minutes later, Class 1-A emerged from the tunnel leading into Ground Beta, fully clad in their customized gear.

Izuku stepped into the sunlight, adjusting his gauntlets. Designing his costume had been a unique challenge. Because his Quirk involved massive, violent shifts in body mass and the manifestation of sharp biological weapons (horns, tail, frill), traditional fabrics were useless. They would shred the moment he transformed.

Instead, Izuku wore a high-tech, dark green combat suit made entirely of adaptive smart-polymers. In his base form, it fit him like a snug, sleeveless tactical vest with heavy cargo pants, leaving his thick, scarred arms bare. The material was designed to stretch exponentially or retract back to shape in milliseconds. The back of the suit was entirely open, featuring a specialized harness that allowed his massive bone frill and tail to erupt unhindered.

He didn't wear a mask—his horns would destroy it—but he did have heavy, reinforced, steel-toed combat boots designed to withstand the immense shock of his quadrupedal charges. He looked less like a traditional comic-book superhero and more like an elite, heavy-assault operative.

"Whoa, Deku!" Uraraka ran up to him, wearing her pink and black spacesuit-inspired costume. "Your outfit looks so tough! It totally fits you!"

"T-Thanks, Uraraka-san!" Izuku stammered, blushing slightly as he took in her costume. "Yours looks really cool too! Very functional for mobility!"

All Might stood before the class, beaming with pride. "You all look fantastic! Now, let's get down to business. Today's lesson is a 2-on-2 indoor Battle Trial! You will be split into 'Villains' and 'Heroes'. The Villains will guard a nuclear weapon inside a building. The Heroes must either capture the Villains or touch the weapon before time runs out!"

All Might drew lots from a box to determine the teams.

When the dust settled, Izuku looked down at his slip of paper. Team A. He was paired with Uraraka.

"Yay! We're a team, Midoriya!" Uraraka cheered, high-fiving him.

"Yeah, this is great," Izuku smiled, his tactical mind already spinning up. "With your Zero Gravity and my physical output, we have a lot of strategic versatility."

"And the first match will be..." All Might drew two balls from the boxes. "Team A as the Heroes, versus Team D as the Villains!"

Izuku's breath hitched. He looked across the crowd.

Standing on the other side of the group was Katsuki Bakugo. The explosive boy was clad in his aggressive, grenade-themed costume. Slowly, Bakugo turned his head, his crimson eyes locking onto Izuku. The predatory grin that split Bakugo’s face sent a chill down the spines of everyone nearby.

"Deku," Bakugo mouthed silently, popping his knuckles.

It was fate. The Unstoppable Juggernaut versus the Unyielding Explosion.

Inside the multi-story building, Iida was pacing around the large, papier-mâché nuclear bomb, fully committing to his role.

"I am the absolute epitome of evil!" Iida declared, adjusting his helmet. "Bakugo! We must devise a strategy to protect this weapon from the hero scum!"

Bakugo ignored him entirely. He was staring out the window, down at the street below where Izuku and Uraraka were waiting for the signal to enter.

"Bakugo, are you listening to me?" Iida asked, frustrated. "Midoriya’s Quirk is incredibly destructive. If he charges the building, he could bring the whole thing down. We need to fortify the lower levels."

"He won't bring the building down," Bakugo growled, his voice tight with anticipation. "The damn nerd cares too much about collateral damage. He won't go full dinosaur in here. He'll try to fight smart. He'll try to use his partial transformations to mitigate damage and protect the floating girl."

Bakugo turned away from the window, walking toward the door of the payload room. "You guard the bomb, four-eyes. I'm going hunting."

"Wait! Going off on your own is highly detrimental to teamwork!" Iida protested.

"I don't need teamwork to crush a walking tank," Bakugo snarled, disappearing down the hallway.

Outside, Izuku was rapidly sketching a layout of the building in a small tactical notebook he had clipped to his belt.

"Okay, Uraraka," Izuku said, his voice lowering into its serious, analytical tone. "Here's the situation. Kacchan is aggressive. He’s going to come straight for me. He wants to prove his explosions can crack my armor. He won't wait for us to find the bomb; he’ll ambush us."

"So, what do we do?" Uraraka asked, looking slightly nervous. "Bakugo is super scary."

"He is," Izuku nodded, "but his fighting style is incredibly linear when he's angry. When we go in, I want you to stay exactly three paces behind me. When Kacchan attacks, he always leads with a right hook. I'll block it. The moment I engage him, I want you to run. Find the bomb, find Iida. Iida will likely clear the room of objects so you can't use your Quirk as easily, so you'll have to play it by ear."

"What about you?" Uraraka asked. "You're going to fight him alone?"

Izuku looked up at the building. Ten years of getting burned. Ten years of playing the shield. He closed his notebook and clipped it back to his belt.

"I'm going to hold the line," Izuku rumbled.

"BEGIN!" All Might's voice echoed over the PA system.

Izuku and Uraraka entered the building through a ground-floor window. The interior was dark, silent, and thick with tension. They crept down the hallway, moving carefully. Izuku kept his body tense, ready to shift mass at a moment's notice.

They reached an intersection. Izuku paused, his enhanced reptilian hearing picking up the faintest sound of shifting fabric from around the corner.

He smelled the sweet, burnt-sugar scent of nitroglycerin.

He's here.

Without hesitation, Bakugo launched himself around the corner. He didn't say a word. He just aimed his gauntlet directly at Izuku’s face and let off a massive, blinding explosion.

BOOM!

The tight hallway amplified the concussive force. Uraraka screamed, thrown backward by the shockwave. Smoke filled the corridor instantly.

In the monitor room, the rest of Class 1-A gasped in horror.

"A surprise attack?!" Ashido cried out. "That's so cheap!"

"A low blow, but a highly effective tactical maneuver," Aizawa noted silently from the back of the room.

Bakugo landed lightly on his feet, smoke wafting from his palms. He peered into the dense cloud of dust he had just created. "Come on, Deku. Don't tell me that's all it takes."

As the smoke cleared, the silhouette of a massive beast emerged.

Izuku stood exactly where he had been a moment ago, not having moved an inch. But he wasn't fully human anymore.

Partial Transformation: Upper Frill.

Izuku had manifested the massive, three-inch-thick triceratops bone frill from the back of his neck. He had tilted his head down, using the impenetrable crown of keratin and calcium as a flawless, domed shield. The explosion had detonated directly against it. The bone was slightly scorched, but it hadn't even chipped.

Izuku slowly raised his head. His eyes, now glowing a dangerous, reptilian yellow, locked onto Bakugo.

"A right hook," Izuku rumbled, his voice incredibly deep and resonant in the narrow hallway. "You always lead with a right hook, Kacchan."

"Shut up!" Bakugo roared, lunging forward again.

"Uraraka, GO!" Izuku shouted.

Uraraka scrambled to her feet and darted down a side corridor, slipping past Bakugo while he was entirely fixated on Izuku. Bakugo didn't even glance at her. His world had narrowed down to the green-scaled juggernaut standing in his way.

"You think a little bone plate is going to save you?!" Bakugo yelled, closing the distance. He swung his left hand, aiming a rapid-fire series of explosions at Izuku's ribcage.

Izuku didn't dodge. In this tight space, with his bulk, dodging was inefficient. Instead, he utilized fluid, localized transformations.

As Bakugo's fist struck, thick, overlapping green scales erupted perfectly over Izuku’s ribs, absorbing the heat and kinetic force of the blast like a sponge. Bakugo growled, spinning to deliver a kick to Izuku's knee. Izuku instantly thickened the bone density of his leg, making it as unyielding as a steel beam. Bakugo winced as his shin connected with the hyper-dense limb.

His reaction time is insane, Bakugo thought frantically, retreating a few steps. He's reading my movements and only armoring the parts of his body I'm hitting. He's conserving energy.

"You're analyzing me," Izuku said, stepping forward. With his frill fully deployed, he had to tilt his head slightly to fit under the ceiling. "You're wondering why I'm not fighting back yet. I'm mapping your output, Kacchan. You're holding back. You don't want to bring the building down either."

"DON'T YOU PATRONIZE ME!" Bakugo screamed. He launched himself off the wall, using an explosion to propel himself over Izuku's head. He aimed a massive blast squarely at the center of Izuku’s exposed back.

Crack.

Before Bakugo could fire, Izuku’s massive, muscular tail manifested, whipping upward with blinding speed. The heavy, scaled appendage slammed directly into Bakugo's chest mid-air, swatting the explosive boy out of the sky like a fly.

Bakugo hit the ground hard, gasping for air as the breath was knocked out of his lungs. He scrambled backward, coughing.

"Damn it," Bakugo wheezed, wiping a streak of soot from his cheek. "You've been hiding this much power for ten years. You looked down on me this whole time!"

Izuku dropped his tail, his yellow eyes softening just a fraction. "I never looked down on you, Kacchan. I've always admired you. Your drive, your combat instincts, your determination to win... I've spent my whole life watching you. You are the image of victory to me."

Izuku took a heavy, earth-shaking step forward. He raised his fists, adopting a heavy boxing stance.

"But I have to win today, too," Izuku said softly. "I have to prove that I can be a hero who protects people. Even from you."

Bakugo’s eyes widened, then narrowed into absolute, burning fury. He stood up slowly. He raised his right arm, grabbing the pin on his massive, grenade-shaped gauntlet.

"You want to play the impenetrable shield, Deku?" Bakugo whispered, his voice dangerously calm. "Fine. Let's see if you can tank this. These gauntlets store my nitroglycerin sweat. They're full."

In the monitor room, All Might grabbed the microphone. "Young Bakugo, stop! Are you trying to kill him?! If you fire that indoors, you'll destroy the corridor!"

"He won't die if he dodges!" Bakugo yelled back, his finger hooked through the pin.

"Sensei, wait!" Izuku yelled, pressing a finger to his earpiece. "Let him do it!"

All Might paused. "Young Midoriya?"

"If you stop him now, he'll never accept it," Izuku said quickly. He looked down the hallway at Bakugo. "I can take it. I won't let it pass me."

Izuku widened his stance. He dug his heavy boots into the linoleum floor. He took a massive breath.

Partial Transformation: Maximum Upper Body Shift.

The shift was intense. Izuku’s entire upper torso exploded into its prehistoric state. His chest barreled out, covered in thick plates of impenetrable keratin armor. His neck thickened massively, fusing with the gargantuan bone frill that now scraped both the walls and the ceiling of the hallway. Three massive horns—a four-foot nose horn and two five-foot brow horns—extended forward like lances. He was a wall of muscle, bone, and scale, completely blocking the hallway.

Bakugo smiled savagely. "DIE!"

He pulled the pin.

The resulting explosion was catastrophic. A blinding pillar of fire, heat, and concussive force erupted from the gauntlet, entirely filling the corridor. It was a localized hurricane of destruction. The windows of the building shattered outward. The floorboards buckled and cracked under the sheer pressure.

The blast wave engulfed Izuku completely.

For five agonizing seconds, the hallway was nothing but roaring fire and smoke. Bakugo stood at the end of it, panting heavily, his arm smoking. He lowered his gauntlet. No one could survive a point-blank blast like that without moving.

Slowly, the smoke began to clear.

The walls of the corridor were scorched black. The ceiling was peeling. But standing in the exact center of the hallway, a monolithic silhouette remained.

Izuku Midoriya stood tall. The front of his costume was completely vaporized, but his body... his body was entirely untouched.

His gargantuan bone frill had acted as a perfect, impenetrable bulkhead. The scales on his chest were slightly charred, smoking lightly, but there was not a single blister, not a single drop of blood. He had taken Bakugo’s absolute maximum firepower, the blast that was supposed to prove Bakugo's supremacy, and he had simply absorbed it.

Bakugo’s jaw dropped. His hands began to shake. The reality of the situation crashed over him like a tidal wave. He didn't even flinch.

"My turn," the Triceratops rumbled.

Izuku didn't charge with his horns. He knew that would kill Bakugo. Instead, he relied on pure, blunt-force momentum. He dug his feet in and launched himself forward like a freight train.

He crossed the distance in a millisecond. Before Bakugo could even raise his arms to defend himself, Izuku dropped his left shoulder.

BAM.

It was a simple, heavy shoulder-tackle, but backed by the hyper-dense mass of Izuku's transformation, it hit like a wrecking ball. Bakugo was lifted off his feet, the air violently expelled from his lungs in a sharp gasp. He flew backward, slamming hard against the wall.

Bakugo slid to the floor, completely winded, his eyes rolling back slightly as unconsciousness threatened to take him. He was out of the fight.

Izuku immediately dropped the transformation. He shrank back to his normal, human size, gasping for air as the sudden caloric drain hit him. He fell to one knee, panting, sweating profusely.

He tapped his earpiece. "Uraraka... Kacchan is secure. How are you doing?"

"Midoriya!" Uraraka's voice came through, breathless but triumphant. "I got it! I used the debris from the explosion to distract Iida and floated over him! I touched the bomb!"

"HERO TEAM... WINS!" All Might announced over the speakers, his voice booming with a mix of relief and sheer awe.

Izuku let out a long, shuddering sigh. He looked down at his hands, then looked over at the unconscious Bakugo. Carefully, Izuku walked over to his rival. He didn't gloat. He didn't cheer. He simply reached down, effortlessly hoisted the unconscious Bakugo over his broad shoulder, and began the walk to the infirmary.

When Izuku returned to the monitor room twenty minutes later (having left Bakugo with Recovery Girl and acquired a fresh shirt), the atmosphere was completely different.

As he stepped through the door, the entire class turned to stare at him. There was no more whispering. There were no more snickers about his muttering. There was only absolute, undeniable respect, tinged with a healthy dose of fear.

They had all watched the monitors. They had seen the heavy-hitter of Class 1-A take a point-blank grenade blast, shrug it off, and dismantle their most aggressive classmate with a single shoulder check.

"M-Midoriya," Kaminari stuttered, instinctively taking a step back. "That was... terrifying. You're literally a walking tank."

"A flawless defense combined with overwhelming kinetic output," Yaoyorozu analyzed, looking at him with deep respect. "Your situational awareness to use your frill as a bulkhead to prevent the blast from traveling down the hallway and hitting your teammate was brilliant."

Izuku blinked, looking at the sea of awe-struck faces.

Instantly, the terrifying juggernaut vanished. Izuku's face flushed bright red. He began to wave his hands frantically, bowing repeatedly to the class, to All Might, to everyone.

"I-I-I'm so sorry!" Izuku squeaked, his voice cracking. "I dented the wall! And I completely ruined my costume's shirt! The support company is going to be so mad at me! And I hit Kacchan too hard, I think I bruised his ribs! I'm a terrible hero!"

The class stared at him, utterly disarmed.

"Wait," Ashido blinked, pointing at him. "He's... a giant softie?"

"He's apologizing for denting a fake wall," Sero, the tape hero, laughed in disbelief.

"A gentle giant," Tsuyu Asui, the frog girl, ribbited softly.

All Might watched the scene unfold, a massive smile spreading across his face. He watched as Uraraka ran over to Izuku, praising his strategy, while Iida chopped the air, lecturing him about property damage but commending his martial prowess.

You did it, Young Midoriya, All Might thought. You showed them your power, but you also showed them your heart.

Izuku rubbed the back of his neck, laughing nervously as his classmates crowded around him. He had established his place. He was the heavy combat specialist of Class 1-A. He was the shield that wouldn't break, and the spear that couldn't be stopped.

And as he looked at his calloused hands, he knew he was one step closer to becoming the hero he always dreamed of being.

The bus ride to the Unforeseen Simulation Joint was surprisingly mundane, a brief pocket of normalcy in a week that had thus far defied it. The autumn sun streamed through the windows of the U.A. bus, casting long, golden geometric shapes across the aisle.

Izuku Midoriya sat near the middle, his massive frame taking up slightly more than his allotted half of the bench seat. He was currently hunched over his charred hero notebook, scribbling furiously. After the battle trial with Bakugo, his mind had been a whirlwind of new kinetic theories. He was trying to calculate the exact tensile threshold of his bone frill, cross-referencing it with the explosive yield of Bakugo’s maximum blast.

"Hey, Midoriya," a blunt, croaking voice broke his concentration.

Izuku looked up. Sitting across the aisle was Tsuyu Asui, the blunt, frog-like girl who always spoke her mind. She was staring at him with unblinking, large black eyes.

"Y-Yes, Asui-san?" Izuku asked, instinctively closing his notebook.

"Call me Tsu," she corrected smoothly. "I say whatever comes to mind. Your Quirk is incredible, Midoriya. The way you took Bakugo's blast... you're basically indestructible. It reminds me a bit of All Might, just... pointier."

Izuku’s face instantly exploded in a bright red flush. "A-All Might?! N-No way! I mean, thank you, Tsu, but my Quirk is a mutation-transformation type! It's completely different! All Might is the absolute pinnacle, and I just have a lot of localized bone density and cellular mass!"

"Still," Kirishima leaned over the back of his seat, flashing his sharp teeth in a wide grin. "It’s super manly! You’ve got this crazy heavy-combat style. It’s flashy, it’s strong, and it definitely screams 'Pro Hero.' My Hardening Quirk is great for taking hits, but it doesn't give me that kind of monstrous offensive power."

"I think your Quirk is amazing, Kirishima-kun," Izuku offered genuinely, his deep voice soothing the frantic energy of his embarrassment. "Being able to negate damage entirely is a fundamental requirement for a vanguard hero. If we were a team, you could act as the localized defense while I act as the heavy siege breaker!"

Kirishima’s eyes sparkled. "Bro. That’s deep."

"If we're talking about flashy and strong," Kaminari chimed in, leaning back with his hands behind his head, "you gotta look at Todoroki, Bakugo, and Midoriya. They're the undisputed big three of the class right now."

At the front of the bus, Bakugo clicked his tongue, glaring out the window. He hadn't said a word to Izuku since he had woken up in the infirmary, but the explosive teen's silence wasn't born of defeat; it was a simmering, hyper-focused fury. He was recalibrating. Izuku knew it.

"Though," Asui put a finger to her chin, "Bakugo is always so angry, I doubt he'll be very popular with the general public."

"WHAT DID YOU SAY, FROG-FACE?!" Bakugo erupted, leaping out of his seat and gripping the handrail, sparks popping wildly from his palms. "I'LL BE THE MOST POPULAR HERO IN THE WORLD! I'LL KILL ANYONE WHO SAYS OTHERWISE!"

"See?" Asui pointed calmly.

The bus dissolved into laughter and bickering. Izuku smiled warmly, looking out the window. This was what he had fought so hard for. He was surrounded by incredible people with amazing Quirks, all striving toward the same goal. He finally belonged.

"We're here," Aizawa’s tired voice cut through the noise, instantly silencing the bus. "Stop messing around."

The Unforeseen Simulation Joint—U.S.J.—was a marvel of modern hero engineering. From the outside, it looked like a massive, opaque dome, but the interior was vast enough to house an entire amusement park of disasters. There were localized zones containing a ruined city, a massive shipwreck in a sprawling artificial lake, a blazing inferno, a landslide mountain, and a torrential downpour zone.

Waiting for them at the entrance plaza was a hero clad in a bulky, marshmallow-like space suit.

"Hello, everyone! I've been waiting for you!" the Space Hero, Thirteen, greeted them warmly.

"It's Thirteen!" Uraraka squealed, vibrating with excitement. "The Chivalrous Hero! They’ve rescued tons of people from disasters!"

"That's right," Thirteen said, holding up a puffy, white-gloved hand. "And that is exactly what we are focusing on today. Before we begin, I have one or two... or three... or four things to say." Thirteen paused, adopting a slightly more serious tone. "As many of you know, my Quirk is Black Hole. It can suck up and tear apart anything. However, it is a power that can easily kill people."

The class fell dead silent. Izuku felt a cold chill run down his spine. He gripped the edge of his combat vest, his thoughts flashing back to the crushed Zero-Pointer and the sheer, terrifying power of his Full Transformation.

"Some of you possess similar Quirks," Thirteen continued, looking over the class. "In our superhuman society, Quirks are heavily regulated, and the requirements to use them are strict. We often forget that we are carrying lethal weapons. A single misstep, a single loss of control, and you could end a life. Aizawa’s physical test showed you your potential, and All Might’s battle trial showed you the danger of using those powers against others. Today, you will learn how to use your Quirks to save lives."

Thirteen bowed deeply. "That is all. Thank you for listening."

The class erupted into applause. Izuku felt a profound sense of validation. To save lives. That's why I'm here. That's why I learned to control the mass.

"Alright," Aizawa stepped forward, his capture weapon resting loosely around his shoulders. "First things first, we'll—"

Aizawa stopped. The lights illuminating the massive dome suddenly flickered. There was a low, electronic hum, followed by the sharp pop of blown fuses. The central fountain in the plaza sputtered and died.

Izuku’s enhanced senses instantly flared. The hairs on his arms stood on end. His reptilian instincts, buried beneath his human consciousness, screamed a warning of impending violence.

Down in the central plaza, fifty yards below the entrance staircase, the air itself began to tear apart.

A small, swirling vortex of dark purple mist appeared in front of the dead fountain. It expanded rapidly, spiraling outward into a massive, formless gateway. From the depths of the shadowy portal, a hand reached out—a pale, sickly hand.

Then, a face emerged. It was a young man with shaggy, pale blue hair, his face obscured by a grotesque, disembodied grey hand clutching his face like a mask. Following him was a towering, hulking monstrosity with exposed brain matter, a beak-like mouth, and skin the color of midnight.

And then, the horde poured through.

Dozens upon dozens of villains stepped out of the mist. Men and women with horrifying mutation Quirks, carrying chains, swords, and pipes. Their malicious intent rolled up the stairs like a physical wave of heat.

"Gather together and don't move!" Aizawa barked, his voice cracking like a whip. He ripped his yellow goggles from his neck and snapped them over his eyes. "Thirteen, protect the students!"

"What is that?" Kirishima asked, taking a nervous step back. "Is this like the entrance exam? Does the training start right away?"

"Don't move!" Aizawa yelled again, his tone completely devoid of its usual lethargy. He glared down at the plaza, his hair beginning to levitate. "Those are real villains."

The realization hit Class 1-A like a physical blow. The air grew thin. Izuku felt his heart rate spike. These weren't robots. These weren't classmates holding back. These were criminals who had infiltrated the most secure campus in Japan.

"The only real heroes here are Thirteen and Eraserhead," the pale man with the hands muttered, his voice scratching across the vast expanse of the dome. "Where is he? We went through all this trouble, brought so many playmates... and All Might isn't even here?"

The man scratched his neck violently. "I wonder... if we kill these kids, will he show up?"

"Thirteen! Begin evacuation! Try calling the school!" Aizawa ordered, leaping over the handrail and plummeting down the stairs toward the horde of villains.

"Sensei, you can't fight them all on your own!" Izuku yelled, running to the railing. "Your Quirk is meant for stealth and one-on-one capture! Facing a frontal assault of this magnitude is—!"

"You can't be a pro with only one trick, Midoriya," Aizawa called back mid-air. He landed in the center of the villain group, his capture weapon lashing out like a swarm of vipers, instantly incapacitating three thugs.

Izuku wanted to help. His heavy combat style was perfect for crowd control. But Thirteen was already ushering the class toward the heavy steel exit doors.

Before they could reach safety, the floor in front of them erupted into a massive wall of swirling, purple mist. The mist materialized into the form of an elegant, shadowy figure wearing a metal neck brace and a bartender's suit.

"I cannot allow that," the shadow spoke, his voice polite but deeply sinister. "Greetings. We are the League of Villains. It may be presumptuous of us, but we have invited ourselves into the home of the heroes in order to have All Might take his final breath. My job is to scatter you... and torture you to death."

The mist suddenly expanded, rushing forward like a tidal wave.

Bakugo and Kirishima leaped forward with roaring battle cries, unleashing explosions and hardened fists, but their attacks passed harmlessly through the shadowy mist.

"Idiots, get back!" Thirteen yelled.

It was too late. Kurogiri, the warp villain, enveloped the class. Izuku felt a sudden, disorienting loss of gravity. The light vanished. He was falling through a void of absolute nothingness, the sounds of his classmates' screams echoing in his ears.

His massive density didn't save him. Gravity pulled him down, down, down...

Until he slammed hard onto solid, uneven ground.

Izuku grunted, rolling onto his feet instantly. He was in a steep, rocky ravine. Massive boulders and loose scree completely covered the terrain. It was the Landslide Zone.

A few yards away, Shoto Todoroki landed gracefully, ice already forming beneath his boots to steady his descent.

"Todoroki-kun," Izuku acknowledged, keeping his back to his classmate.

"Midoriya," Todoroki replied calmly, his dual-colored eyes scanning the ridges above them. "It seems they've scattered us to gain a numerical advantage."

"Yeah," Izuku rumbled, his body already beginning to shift. "And they're here."

From the rocky outcroppings above, thirty villains emerged. They sneered down at the two high schoolers, twirling batons and cracking knuckles.

"Just a couple of kids," a villain with a massive blade for an arm laughed. "The warp guy said to kill them. Shame. I was hoping for some pro heroes to carve up!"

"Hey kids, don't cry too loud!" another mocked. "We'll make it quick!"

Izuku took a deep breath. His anxiety, his fear, his typical stuttering nervousness—it all evaporated. He remembered Thirteen's speech. He remembered Aizawa throwing himself into a horde to protect them. These villains were here to kill his friends. They were here to kill All Might.

He didn't need to hold back his physical form here. There were no fake buildings to protect. There were no civilians to worry about.

There were only targets.

"Todoroki-kun," Izuku said softly, his voice dropping into a guttural, terrifying register. "I'll take the vanguard. Support me from the rear."

Todoroki blinked, slightly surprised by the absolute authority in Midoriya's voice, but nodded. "Understood."

Izuku unleashed his Quirk.

Partial Transformation: Bipedal Juggernaut.

The air pressure in the ravine shattered as Izuku expanded. His smart-suit stretched to its absolute limit as his body swelled into an eight-foot-tall, incredibly dense wall of muscle and dark green scales. His heavy tail slammed into the rocky ground, shattering a boulder. His massive, three-inch-thick bone frill erupted from his neck, and his three ivory horns gleamed menacingly in the dim light of the dome.

The sneers on the villains' faces vanished instantly. The humor died in their throats.

"What the... what the hell is that?!" the blade-armed villain stammered, taking a step back. "That's not a kid!"

Izuku let out a deafening, prehistoric roar that echoed off the canyon walls, rattling the loose stones and sending a physical shockwave of sound over the villains.

He didn't wait for them to recover. Izuku dropped into a low, sprinter's crouch and exploded forward.

The rocky terrain, which should have been difficult to traverse, meant nothing to him. His massive, clawed boots shattered the uneven stones into dust with every footfall. He charged up the steep incline with the unstoppable momentum of a derailed train.

Five villains tried to intercept him, swinging metal pipes and launching minor elemental Quirks. Izuku didn't even bother to block. He simply lowered his massive, horned head.

He plowed through them like a bowling ball through pins. The sheer kinetic impact of his armored body sent all five men flying through the air, their weapons shattering uselessly against his scales. Izuku spun, his heavy tail whipping out in a brutal arc. It connected with the midsections of three more thugs, throwing them violently into a rock wall where they crumpled into unconscious heaps.

He was a force of nature. He was an apex predator hunting in a closed pen.

A villain with a gun Quirk aimed at Izuku's back. Before he could pull the trigger, a wave of sub-zero ice rushed over the rocks, instantly freezing the man and six others solid.

Izuku glanced back to see Todoroki exhaling a plume of cold breath, systematically freezing anyone who tried to flank the massive Triceratops. They were a devastating combination: Izuku drawing all the physical aggression and dismantling the frontline, while Todoroki provided flawless crowd control and support.

In less than three minutes, the thirty villains were either unconscious, nursing shattered ribs, or frozen solid in blocks of ice.

Izuku stood amidst the groaning bodies, his heavy chest heaving. He slowly let the transformation recede, shrinking back to his human size to conserve calories.

Todoroki walked up beside him, his expression completely unreadable. He looked at the devastation Izuku had caused—shattered boulders, craters in the earth, and defeated villains scattered like ragdolls.

"Your physical output is staggering," Todoroki noted quietly. "You didn't just beat them. You broke their will to fight in ten seconds."

"They're just street thugs," Izuku replied, wiping sweat from his brow. His mind was racing, analyzing the grander strategy. "This whole setup... it's wrong, Todoroki-kun. If their goal is to kill All Might, sending low-tier thugs like this is completely illogical. All Might could defeat a thousand of these guys without breaking a sweat."

Todoroki nodded slowly. "You're right. They must have a trump card. A weapon specifically designed to handle All Might."

Izuku looked down toward the central plaza. Through a gap in the rocks, he could see the distant figures of Aizawa fighting the main horde.

"We need to get to the plaza," Izuku said grimly. "Mr. Aizawa is fighting their leaders. If they have a weapon meant for All Might, Mr. Aizawa won't be able to handle it alone."

"Let's go," Todoroki agreed.

They sprinted out of the Landslide Zone, sticking to the shadows of the ruins as they made their way toward the central fountain. As they crested a small ridge overlooking the plaza, they froze.

The scene below was a nightmare.

The horde of thugs had been severely thinned out, but Aizawa was not standing victorious. He was currently pinned to the ground by the hulking, bird-headed monstrosity with the exposed brain.

The beast—the Nomu—had a grip on Aizawa's arm. With a sickening SNAP that echoed across the quiet plaza, the Nomu snapped the Erasure Hero's arm like a dry twig. Aizawa screamed, a harrowing sound of sheer agony. The Nomu then slammed Aizawa's face brutally into the pavement, cracking the concrete.

"Sensei!" Izuku gasped, his heart leaping into his throat.

"He can erase Quirks," Shigaraki, the pale man covered in hands, narrated lazily as he watched the brutal beatdown. "But against a creature of pure, unimaginable physical might, a Quirk-erasing ability is useless. Nomu is the anti-Symbol of Peace. A bio-engineered weapon possessing strength on par with All Might."

Shigaraki suddenly turned his head. Near the edge of the central plaza's lake, hiding behind the ruins of a ship, were Tsuyu, Mineta, and another classmate.

"Ah," Shigaraki murmured, scratching his neck. "There are some left. If we kill All Might's precious students, maybe that will enrage him enough to show up."

In a burst of speed that defied human limitations, Shigaraki lunged toward the three hiding students. His hand reached out, inches from Tsuyu's face.

Izuku didn't think. The calculations, the caloric reserves, the tactical planning—it all vanished. He saw his friend about to be murdered.

With a roar of absolute fury, Izuku launched himself off the ridge.

Partial Transformation: Maximum Leg Density.

He didn't transform his upper body. He needed absolute, pinpoint speed. He pumped all of his kinetic energy into his legs, his thighs bulging and bursting through his combat pants, covered in thick green scales. He shattered the ridge he was standing on, rocketing across the plaza like a surface-to-air missile.

Down below, Shigaraki's hand touched Tsuyu's face. But nothing happened.

Shigaraki blinked, looking back. Aizawa, broken, bleeding, and barely conscious, had lifted his head just enough to stare at Shigaraki, erasing his Decay Quirk at the final second.

"You really are cool... Eraserhead," Shigaraki muttered in annoyance.

Before Shigaraki could raise his hand to try again, a shadow fell over him.

Izuku fell from the sky, shifting his mass mid-air. His right arm exploded into its heavily scaled, hyper-dense state. He cocked his fist back, aiming squarely for Shigaraki's face.

"GET AWAY FROM HER!" Izuku roared.

Shigaraki’s eyes widened beneath the hand mask. But he didn't even have to command his beast.

With a burst of speed that shouldn't have been possible for a creature of its size, the Nomu released Aizawa, moving faster than the eye could track. It intercepted Izuku mid-air.

Izuku’s massive, kinetically charged fist slammed directly into the Nomu's exposed chest.

It was a punch that Izuku knew could shatter a solid steel vault door. The impact generated a localized shockwave that blew the water from the nearby lake backward, knocking Tsuyu, Mineta, and Shigaraki off their feet.

But as the dust settled, Izuku’s eyes widened in absolute horror.

His fist was planted firmly in the center of the Nomu's chest. But the creature hadn't moved an inch. It hadn't even flinched. The flesh beneath Izuku's knuckles had rippled like a stone thrown into a pond, perfectly absorbing the unfathomable kinetic force of his strike.

The Nomu slowly looked down at Izuku with dead, soulless eyes.

"It's no use, kid," Shigaraki laughed, pulling himself off the ground and dusting off his shirt. "You pack a hell of a punch, I'll give you that. But Nomu possesses 'Shock Absorption.' Blunt force trauma, punches, kicks, explosions... it takes the kinetic energy and disperses it harmlessly across its cellular structure. You can't beat him with brute force."

The Nomu raised its massive fist.

Izuku barely had time to manifest his frill.

BAM.

The Nomu punched Izuku squarely in the side of his partially manifested bone frill. The sheer, overwhelming power of the blow defied logic. It was like getting hit by a speeding bullet train. Izuku was launched backward, skipping across the concrete plaza like a stone across water, before crashing violently into the steps of the entrance staircase.

Izuku coughed, spitting a glob of blood onto the pavement. His vision swam. His bone frill wasn't broken—it was virtually indestructible—but the kinetic transfer of the blow had rattled his brain against his skull. He let his partial transformations drop, struggling to his hands and knees.

He's as strong as All Might, Izuku thought frantically, his analytical brain desperately trying to reboot. And he absorbs blunt force. My punches won't work. My tail won't work. Even my heaviest shoulder tackle will just be absorbed into his muscle mass. How do you defeat something that absorbs kinetic pressure?

Shigaraki began walking slowly toward Aizawa again, who was completely incapacitated. "Nomu. Tear the kid apart. Then finish the teacher."

The Nomu shrieked—a horrifying, high-pitched screech—and charged toward Izuku.

Izuku forced himself to stand. He watched the beast approaching. The ground shook beneath its feet.

Shock absorption, Izuku repeated in his mind. It disperses energy across a wide surface area. But you can't absorb infinite pressure applied to a microscopic point. You can't absorb a blade. You can't absorb...

Izuku’s eyes snapped open, glowing a brilliant, fierce yellow.

Piercing damage.

He couldn't hold back. If he held back now, Aizawa would die. Tsuyu would die. He would die. It was time to unleash the monster. It was time to become the vanguard.

Izuku planted his feet. He drew in a massive breath, pulling upon every single calorie he had stored, every ounce of kinetic energy vibrating in his cells. His heart hammered like a war drum in his chest.

FULL TRANSFORMATION: TRICERA-TITAN.

The biological explosion that followed was cataclysmic. The remains of Izuku’s smart-vest tore completely open, unable to contain the sheer, violent expansion of mass.

A shockwave of kinetic steam and heat blasted outward, shattering the concrete stairs around him. His body violently dropped to all fours as his spine thickened and lengthened. His limbs expanded into massive, tree-trunk pillars of muscle and bone. His skin hardened into overlapping plates of dark, jagged, impenetrable green armor. His tail slammed into the ground, cracking the plaza floor.

His head rapidly shifted. The gargantuan, five-foot-wide shield of solid bone erupted from his neck, spiked and menacing. And from his brow, his ultimate weapons manifested: two colossal, four-foot-long, razor-sharp ivory horns, with a massive third horn resting on his armored snout.

The fifteen-foot, five-ton prehistoric tank stood in the ruins of the U.S.J., blowing plumes of hot steam from its nostrils.

The sheer presence of the beast brought the entire battlefield to a standstill. Tsuyu and Mineta stared in absolute, paralyzing awe. Shigaraki stopped walking, his visible eye twitching in genuine shock beneath his hand mask. Even Todoroki, watching from the ridge, felt a chill run down his spine.

"What... what is that?!" Shigaraki hissed, taking a step back. "A full beast transformation?! That's not just a Quirk, that's a damn Kaiju! Nomu! Kill it!"

The Nomu shrieked again and bounded forward, crossing the plaza in a blur of speed, raising both its massive fists for a dual-hammer strike.

Izuku didn't flinch. He didn't try to dodge. He was the heaviest object on the battlefield.

With a deafening, earth-shaking roar, the Triceratops charged.

He dug his four hooves into the concrete, generating maximum torque. The ground completely gave way beneath him as he accelerated. He was five tons of hyper-dense armor moving at terminal velocity. He lowered his massive head, pointing his lethal horns directly at the approaching bio-weapon.

The Nomu, lacking higher brain functions and operating purely on Shigaraki's command to "kill," didn't try to evade. It attempted to catch the charging beast, just as it had been programmed to catch All Might's punches.

The Nomu threw its hands forward to grapple the horns.

It was a fatal miscalculation.

SHCKKK.

The sickening sound of tearing flesh echoed across the plaza.

Izuku’s massive brow horns met the Nomu’s hands. But because the horns tapered to razor-sharp points, there was no blunt surface for the Nomu’s Quirk to absorb. The immense, five-ton kinetic pressure of Izuku's charge was focused entirely on two microscopic points.

The ivory horns punched cleanly through the palms of the Nomu’s hands.

The Nomu shrieked in sudden, unexpected agony. But Izuku wasn't stopping. His momentum was absolute. The horns drove deeper, sliding through the Nomu's forearms, tearing the shock-absorbing muscles to shreds.

With a violent upward thrust of his colossal, heavily muscled neck, Izuku drove the horns directly into the Nomu’s exposed chest and shoulders.

The horns sank two feet deep into the bio-weapon's torso. Blood, thick and dark, sprayed across the concrete. The Nomu's shock absorption was completely bypassed. It had been impaled.

The sheer kinetic force of Izuku’s charge didn't dissipate. He lifted the towering Nomu entirely off its feet with his neck and continued running.

"NO!" Shigaraki screamed, watching his ultimate, All Might-killing weapon being treated like a hood ornament on a runaway truck.

Izuku bulldozed across the plaza, carrying the impaled, screeching Nomu on his horns. The creature flailed wildly, its massive fists hammering down onto Izuku's bone frill.

BANG! BANG! BANG!

The blows possessed the strength of All Might, but Izuku’s frill was the ultimate shield. The dense bone vibrated, sending shockwaves down his spine, but it did not crack. Izuku gritted his teeth, his yellow reptilian eyes fixed straight ahead.

He reached the far edge of the central plaza, where the massive concrete retaining wall of the shipwreck zone rose up.

Izuku lowered his center of gravity, digging his front hooves in to brake, and violently whipped his head upward and forward.

He slammed the Nomu directly into the steel-reinforced concrete wall.

The impact cratered the wall, creating a massive spiderweb of cracks. The Nomu was driven backward, Izuku's horns burying even deeper into its chest cavity, pinning the creature utterly and completely to the stone.

The Nomu thrashed furiously, trying to push itself off the horns, but Izuku leaned his entire five-ton body weight forward, locking his legs. He was a living staple gun, and the Nomu was pinned.

"GAAAHHHH!" The Nomu screeched, dark blood pouring from its wounds. However, Izuku could see the creature's flesh already bubbling and shifting around the horns.

Super regeneration, Izuku realized, feeling the muscles trying to knit themselves back together around his ivory spikes. I can't kill it. Even with piercing damage, its cellular regeneration is too fast. But I don't need to kill it. I just need to hold the line.

Izuku dug his hooves deeper into the cracked pavement. He let out a low, guttural growl, pushing harder, burying the beast further into the wall. He became an immovable object locking down an unstoppable force.

Across the plaza, Shigaraki was hyperventilating, clawing violently at his neck.

"This is wrong... this is cheating!" Shigaraki ranted, his voice bordering on hysterical. "That NPC wasn't on the roster! He's pinning the boss character! Kurogiri! Warp the beast out of there! Cut the kid in half with a portal!"

The dark mist began to swirl next to Shigaraki. "Understood, Shigaraki Tomura."

Kurogiri expanded, rushing toward Izuku and the pinned Nomu, intending to open a warp gate directly across Izuku's neck to decapitate the beast.

Izuku saw the mist approaching. He couldn't move. If he backed away to dodge, the Nomu would be free and would immediately slaughter Aizawa and the others. He had to hold the pin. He squeezed his eyes shut, bracing for the impact.

BOOM!

The heavy steel doors at the entrance of the U.S.J. suddenly exploded outward, ripped from their hinges by an unfathomable force.

The mist stopped. Shigaraki stopped scratching. The entire dome fell into a breathless silence.

Standing in the dust of the ruined doorway was a colossal figure. He wasn't smiling. He wasn't striking a pose. For the first time in his public career, All Might looked genuinely, terrifyingly furious.

"I had a bad feeling, so I tore myself away from an interview and came as fast as I could," All Might’s voice rolled across the dome, devoid of its usual booming cheer, replaced by an icy, absolute wrath.

He ripped his tie off, his blue eyes glowing in the shadows of his face.

"It's fine now!" All Might declared, taking a massive step forward. "I AM HERE!"

Izuku opened his reptilian eyes, a massive surge of relief washing over his exhausted, hyper-dense body. He didn't have to win the fight. He just had to be the vanguard. And he had held the line long enough for the cavalry to arrive.
