What if Deku had a Titan (Attack on Titan) quirk that's overpowered

Men are not born equal.

That was the harsh, immovable truth of the world, a reality Izuku Midoriya learned at the tender age of four.

He could still vividly recall the sterilized scent of the doctor’s office, the stark white walls, and the cold, unfeeling tone of the physician who delivered the verdict that would shatter his world. “You should probably give it up.”

In a world where eighty percent of the population possessed some sort of uncanny ability—a genetic anomaly collectively known as a ‘Quirk’—being part of the twenty percent who didn't was a social death sentence. Quirks had completely restructured society. What was once the realm of comic books and fantasy novels had become everyday life. People could conjure fire, manipulate gravity, read minds, or transform their bodies into engines of immense power. Heroism, once a noble ideal, became an official, salaried profession.

And Izuku, sitting in that oversized leather chair holding an All Might action figure, possessed nothing. He had an extra joint in his pinky toe. An evolutionary left-over. A biological stamp of obsolescence.

But biology, as Izuku would learn much, much later, was a funny, unpredictable thing.

The doctor had taken X-rays. He had drawn blood. He had looked at the genetic markers. But the doctor could not test for conditions that required impossibly specific catalysts. The doctor had no way of knowing that Izuku’s DNA housed an anomaly so ancient and overpowering that it didn't register on a modern Quirk registry.

For the power slumbering in Izuku Midoriya’s blood to awaken, it required two very specific, simultaneous triggers. First, the physical breaking of the flesh—an injury severe enough to draw blood. Second, a singular, overwhelming, adrenaline-fueled objective. A goal so fiercely desired that the mind and body aligned in perfect, desperate synergy.

A four-year-old boy scraping his knee on the playground while crying for his mother did not meet those conditions. Nor did a ten-year-old Izuku getting pushed into the dirt by his classmates, his mind clouded with confusion and sorrow rather than a singular drive.

So, the power slept. And Izuku grew up believing he was profoundly, fundamentally hollow.

"Since you're all third years, it's time for you to think seriously about your future," the homeroom teacher announced, standing at the podium of Aldera Junior High’s Classroom 3-B. He held a stack of career aptitude papers, a bored expression on his face.

The afternoon sun filtered through the large windows, catching the dust motes dancing in the air. Izuku, fourteen years old and small for his age, kept his head down, furiously scribbling in his charred, battered notebook labeled Hero Analysis for the Future, Vol. 13.

"I'll pass out handouts for your future plans now," the teacher continued, his voice suddenly shifting into a bemused smirk, "but... you're all pretty much planning to go into the hero course, right?"

He tossed the papers into the air.

The classroom erupted. Teenagers cheered, their Quirks activating in a chaotic symphony of rebellion and excitement. A boy in the front stretched his neck like a giraffe; a girl near the window conjured small spheres of water; someone in the back grew a pair of leathery wings.

"Yes, yes, you all have wonderful Quirks," the teacher sighed, though he wasn't really trying to stop them. "But using your powers in school is against the rules!"

"Sensei! Don't lump us all in the same group!"

The voice cut through the clamor like a gunshot. The room instantly fell silent.

Katsuki Bakugo sat leaned back in his chair, his feet propped up on his desk, an arrogant, lazy smirk plastered across his face. "I'm not gonna be stuck at the bottom with the rest of these rejects."

The class erupted in offended shouts. Bakugo merely scoffed, small, crackling explosions popping like firecrackers in the palms of his hands. The scent of burnt caramel—the byproduct of his nitroglycerin sweat—wafted through the room.

"You all should shut up like the extras you are!" Bakugo barked, his crimson eyes gleaming with unearned superiority. "I aced all of the mock tests. I'm the only one at this school who stands a chance at U.A. High School. I'll surpass All Might and become the top hero, and my name will be inscribed on the list of the highest earners!"

"Oh, if I remember correctly, you want to go to U.A. High, right, Bakugo?" the teacher asked, looking at his clipboard.

The class murmured in awe. U.A. was the national academy for heroes. The acceptance rate was a microscopic 0.2 percent.

"Yes, and—"

"Midoriya wants to go to U.A., too, right?"

The words hung in the air. Time seemed to stop. Izuku froze, his pencil hovering millimeters above the paper. He shrank into his shoulders, waiting for the inevitable.

For a second, there was dead silence. Then, the entire class burst into uproarious, mocking laughter.

"Midoriya? No way!"

"You can't get into the hero course just by studying!"

"He doesn't even have a Quirk! What's he gonna do, aggressively analyze the villains?"

Izuku stood up, his face flushing violently, his hands waving in defense. "T-They got rid of that rule! There's no rule against Quirkless people taking the exam! It could be—"

Before he could finish the sentence, a deafening BOOM rattled his teeth.

Izuku’s desk was blown backward, crashing into the floor. The force of the explosion sent Izuku tumbling. He hit the ground hard, his back aching. Looming over him was Bakugo, smoke rising from his right palm, his face twisted into a snarl of utter contempt.

"Listen up, Deku," Bakugo growled, using the insulting nickname he had coined years ago, meaning useless. "You're even worse than the rest of these rejects. You're completely Quirkless. How can you even stand in the same ring as me?"

"No, wait, Kacchan!" Izuku scrambled backward against the wall, holding his hands up placatingly. "It's not like I'm trying to compete with you or anything! Believe me! It's just that... it's been my dream since I was little. And there's no harm in trying..."

"Try?! Try what?!" Bakugo took a step forward, the floorboards creaking under his boots. "The entrance exam? You're taking the exam just to 'try'? What the hell can you even do?"

Izuku looked down, his lips trembling. He didn't have an answer. He had never had an answer. The teacher merely watched the clock, waiting for the bell to ring, completely indifferent to the torment unfolding.

The final bell was a mercy.

Izuku lingered behind as the rest of the class filtered out, packing his bag slowly. He just wanted to go home, watch an old All Might debut video, and pretend the world wasn't so cold. He reached for his notebook on his desk.

A hand snatched it away first.

"We're not done talking yet, Deku," Bakugo said, holding the notebook up. Two of his lackeys stood behind him, snickering.

"Kacchan, give it back," Izuku said softly, reaching for it.

Bakugo didn't even look at him. He read the title. "Hero Analysis for the Future? Seriously? You're still taking notes on how to be a hero?"

With a sickening pop, a flash of heat illuminated the classroom. Izuku gasped. His notebook, the culmination of months of meticulous observation and drawing, was instantly charred black, the pages curling and burning.

"That's mean..." Izuku whispered.

Bakugo nonchalantly tossed the smoldering book out of the open window. It fell three stories down into a koi pond below. "Most top-tier heroes have stories about them from their school days. I want the shine of being the only student to make it into U.A. from this mediocre city dump. I'm a perfectionist."

Bakugo stepped into Izuku’s personal space, placing a heavy, smoking hand on Izuku’s shoulder. The heat seared through Izuku's uniform, burning his skin, but the skin did not break. "So anyway, don't apply to U.A., nerd."

Bakugo turned and walked toward the door, his lackeys following like shadows.

"He couldn't even say anything back," one of the boys laughed.

"Don't blame him. He's a third-year still living in a fantasy world."

Bakugo paused at the doorway, looking back over his shoulder. His eyes were devoid of anything resembling humanity.

"If you want to be a hero that badly, there's a quick way to do it," Bakugo said smoothly. "Believe that you'll be born with a Quirk in your next life, and take a swan dive off the roof of the building."

Izuku stopped breathing. The sheer malice of the statement rooted him to the spot. He turned to glare at Bakugo, his fists clenched, a strange, suffocating heat building deep in the marrow of his bones. For a brief, terrifying second, a ringing sound echoed in his ears, and the world seemed to tint red.

But then Bakugo held up his hand, letting off a series of loud, threatening pops. "What?"

The heat vanished. Izuku’s shoulders slumped. He lowered his head, unable to speak, unable to fight back. Satisfied, Bakugo scoffed and left.

Izuku stood alone in the quiet classroom. He touched his chest, right over his heart. It was beating erratically. Lately, he had been experiencing these strange flashes. A phantom heat under his skin. Dreams of vast, starry deserts beneath a massive, glowing tree made of light. He chalked it up to stress. Or perhaps, as the doctor said, just a glitch in a broken body.

He walked outside, fishing his ruined notebook out of the koi pond. The fish were nibbling at the edges. "Stupid..." he muttered, wiping his eyes. "Stupid jerk. If I really jumped, that would mean you instigated a suicide. Think before you speak."

He began the long walk home, forcing himself to smile, forcing himself to mimic the hearty laugh of the Symbol of Peace. Ha. Ha. Ha.

The tunnel under the bridge was damp and smelled of stagnant water and mildew. Izuku walked through the shadows, lost in thought. He was trying to figure out how to salvage the notes on Mt. Lady's gigantification Quirk.

Behind him, a wet, sloshing sound echoed off the concrete.

Izuku stopped. The hairs on the back of his neck stood up. He turned around.

Rising from the manhole cover was a towering mass of dark, putrid sludge. It had no shape, no solid form, just a shifting mountain of liquid muck, save for two bulbous, manic eyes and a jagged mouth filled with rotting teeth.

"A medium-sized invisibility cloak," the Sludge Villain gurgled, its voice wet and guttural.

Izuku’s eyes widened in sheer terror. His legs felt like lead. A villain. Right here.

Before Izuku could even attempt to run, the villain lunged. A massive tendril of sludge wrapped around Izuku’s legs, sweeping him off his feet. He hit the concrete hard. In an instant, the liquid mass swallowed him whole.

The sludge forced itself up his nose and down his throat. The taste was unimaginable—like raw sewage and rotting meat.

"Don't worry," the villain purred, the sound vibrating through the liquid surrounding Izuku's ears. "I'm just taking over your body. It'll only hurt for about 45 seconds. Then, it'll all be over."

Izuku clawed frantically at the sludge covering his mouth. His lungs burned, screaming for oxygen. He kicked, he thrashed, but his hands slipped uselessly right through the villain’s liquid body.

I can't breathe...

Am I dying?

Somebody... help...

He scratched at his own throat, leaving red welts, but the sludge absorbed every impact. His vision began to blur, black spots dancing at the edges of his sight. He was suffocating. He was experiencing blunt force trauma to his ribs as the sludge compressed him. But his skin remained unbroken. There was no catalyst.

His strength faded. His arms dropped. I'm going to die here... Quirkless. Useless.

Suddenly, the manhole cover blew completely off its hinges, clattering loudly against the tunnel wall.

"Have no fear, young man!" a booming, resonant voice echoed, cutting through the darkness like a beacon of absolute light.

The Sludge Villain whipped its eyes toward the entrance.

Standing there was a giant of a man, silhouetted by the afternoon sun. He wore a simple white T-shirt and cargo pants, but his musculature was impossible, his blonde hair styled into two prominent Vs.

"I am here!" All Might roared.

The villain panicked, shooting a spiked tendril of sludge toward the Number One Hero. All Might simply sidestepped it with blinding speed. He pulled his right arm back, the muscles bulging, tearing the seams of his sleeve.

"TEXAS... SMASH!"

All Might threw a punch. He didn't hit the villain. He didn't have to. The sheer, unadulterated wind pressure generated by the physical force of his fist created a localized hurricane. The wind tore through the tunnel, ripping the sludge villain apart on a molecular level.

Izuku felt the pressure release. Air rushed into his burning lungs. He fell to the ground, coughing violently, gasping for breath. The last thing he saw before his oxygen-deprived brain forced him into unconsciousness was the glowing, towering figure of his idol standing over him.

"Hey! Wake up! Hey!"

Light slaps against his cheek pulled Izuku from the darkness. His eyes fluttered open. The bright sky blinded him for a second. As his vision cleared, the impossibly chiseled face of All Might swam into view.

"Ah! Good! You're safe!" All Might bellowed, standing up straight. "Apologies, young man! I didn't mean to get you caught up in my villain hunt! I usually don't make mistakes like this, but I was in a new city and got a little excited!"

Izuku stared, paralyzed. All Might. The Symbol of Peace. The man he had idolized since he could comprehend object permanence. He was right here. In the flesh.

"I managed to capture him!" All Might patted his cargo pants, where two empty soda bottles now held the swirling, furious remnants of the Sludge Villain. "Now, I must bring this fellow to the authorities! You can stand, can't you?"

Izuku scrambled to his feet, his mind racing a mile a minute. "W-Wait! An autograph! Where's my—" He spotted his charred notebook on the ground. He flipped it open. On a two-page spread, a massive, bold signature was already penned.

"HE ALREADY DID IT!" Izuku bowed at a perfect ninety-degree angle, repeatedly. "Thank you so much! It will be a family heirloom! A treasure!"

"Well, I must be off!" All Might stretched his legs, preparing to jump.

Wait, Izuku thought, panic seizing his chest. Already? But... I have to ask him. I have to know.

"Wait! I have a question!" Izuku cried out.

"A pro is always fighting time and enemies!" All Might declared, ignoring the plea. He bent his knees.

As the hero leaped, a sonic boom cracked the air. He soared into the sky, rocketing over the city like a missile. But as he looked down, he felt an unexpected weight on his right leg.

"Hey, hey, hey! What do you think you're doing?!" All Might shouted, the wind tearing at his face. Clinging desperately to his leg, cheeks flapping wildly in the wind pressure, was Izuku.

"If I let go now... I'll die!" Izuku screamed, his eyes watering.

"That's true! But you have to close your eyes and mouth!" All Might grabbed the boy by the collar of his jacket, scanning the city below. "Good grief. I suppose I can spare a minute to land."

They touched down on the roof of a nondescript office building. Izuku collapsed against the chain-link fence, hyperventilating, his legs turning to jelly.

"That was terrifying..." Izuku gasped.

"Good grief. If you knock on the door down there, someone will let you out," All Might said, turning his back and walking toward the edge of the roof. "Now, I must go."

"Wait! Just a second!"

"No! I have no time!" All Might insisted, rubbing his chest. Unbeknownst to Izuku, a plume of steam was beginning to rise from the hero's massive frame.

"Even if I don't have a Quirk... can I become a hero?!"

All Might stopped dead in his tracks.

Izuku squeezed his eyes shut, pouring his heart out, terrified of the answer but unable to stop himself. "Can even someone without a Quirk be like you?! I... I've been bullied my whole life because I don't have one. Maybe that's why... I think saving people is the coolest thing in the world. Saving people with a fearless smile. I want to be the greatest hero, just like you!"

Izuku opened his eyes, expecting to see the towering symbol of strength.

Instead, a cloud of thick steam enveloped the roof. As it cleared, the giant was gone. In his place stood a skeletal, emaciated man with sunken eyes, wearing baggy clothes that looked three sizes too big. Blood trickled from his mouth.

Izuku screamed. "An imposter?! What happened?! You're so skinny! Where is All Might?!"

"I am All Might," the skeletal man rasped, wiping the blood from his chin. He sighed heavily, sitting down against the roof's railing. "You know how guys at the pool suck in their gut to look buff? It's like that."

"No way..." Izuku whispered, his reality fracturing.

All Might pulled up his oversized shirt. Izuku gasped in horror. Covering the entirety of the man's left side was a massive, grotesque scar, purple and mangled, radiating outward like a crushed star.

"I got this in a big fight five years ago," All Might said softly, his voice devoid of its usual booming bravado. "My respiratory system was nearly destroyed. I lost my whole stomach. After all the surgeries, I can only do hero work for about three hours a day. The rest of the time, I look like this."

"Five years ago?" Izuku's analytical mind spun. "Was that when you fought Toxic Chainsaw?"

"You know your stuff. But no, that punk couldn't do this to me. I asked that this fight be kept under wraps. The world can't know." All Might looked up at the sky, his blue eyes tired. "The Symbol of Peace... people think I'm fearless. I smile to hide the fear inside. To trick myself. To show the world that society is safe."

He looked back at Izuku, his gaze piercing, not with malice, but with a cold, hard dose of reality.

"Pros are always risking their lives," All Might said, his tone resolute. "Some villains simply cannot be beaten without power. Can you become a hero without a Quirk? No. I don't think you can."

The words struck Izuku like a physical blow. The air rushed out of his lungs. The faint, drumming heat that had briefly stirred in his chest went entirely cold.

"If you want to save people, become a police officer," All Might continued, standing up and opening the roof access door. "They get mocked, but it's a fine profession. It's not bad to have dreams, young man. But you have to make sure they're realistic."

The door clicked shut.

Izuku stood alone on the roof for a long time. The wind howled past him. The city below buzzed with life, but on that rooftop, Izuku felt completely and utterly dead. His idol, the man whose videos he had watched thousands of times, had looked him in the eye and agreed with Bakugo. Agreed with the teachers. Agreed with the world.

He was useless.

Izuku didn't remember walking down the stairs. He didn't remember leaving the building. He walked like an automaton, his eyes dull and unfocused, his feet dragging against the pavement.

He needed to go home. He needed to throw away his notebooks. He needed to apologize to his mother for making her worry about a dream that was never going to happen.

BOOM!

A massive explosion shook the ground, snapping Izuku out of his trance. Plumes of thick, black smoke rose into the orange evening sky a few blocks away. The sounds of screaming and sirens echoed through the streets.

Out of sheer muscle memory, the instinct cultivated over a decade of obsessive hero-watching, Izuku's feet began to move toward the noise.

No, stop it, he told himself. You're not a hero. You're just a bystander. You're nothing.

But he was already there. A massive crowd had gathered at the entrance of a bustling shopping district. The heat radiating from the alleyway was intense. Fires licked the sides of the buildings.

Izuku pushed his way to the front of the crowd, stopping just behind the police barricade.

He looked into the plaza and felt his stomach drop into the abyss.

It was the Sludge Villain. It had grown exponentially, incorporating debris and trash into its liquid form, making it a towering, monstrous wave of muck.

But... how? Izuku thought, trembling. All Might captured him. He put him in the bottles...

Then, Izuku remembered the jump. The wind pressure. Clinging to All Might’s leg. He must have knocked the bottles loose during the flight.

This is my fault, Izuku realized, nausea washing over him. I did this. Because of my selfishness, he got away.

He looked around desperately for the pros. Death Arms was lifting rubble. Backdraft was using water to keep the fires from spreading to the civilian crowd. Mt. Lady was standing outside the alley, unable to squeeze her giant form between the buildings. Kamui Woods was hesitating, knowing his wooden body would catch fire instantly if he got close.

"Why aren't they doing anything?!" a civilian next to Izuku shouted.

"The villain caught a middle schooler!" another replied. "He's using his Quirk against the heroes! They can't get close!"

Izuku looked back at the villain. Trapped in the center of the suffocating sludge was a boy, violently thrashing, setting off massive, uncontrolled explosions from his palms in a blind panic.

Through the smoke and the chaos, the shifting sludge parted just for a second.

Izuku saw the hostage's face.

Ash-blonde hair. Crimson eyes, wide with sheer, unadulterated terror. Tears streaming down a face that was usually twisted in arrogance.

It was Bakugo.

Kacchan.

The pros were waiting for a hero with a more suitable Quirk. They were standing by, watching a boy suffocate. Watching a boy die.

Before Izuku’s conscious mind could process what was happening, his body moved.

He ducked under the police tape.

"Hey! Kid! Stop!" Death Arms roared, reaching out to grab him, but Izuku was already sprinting into the inferno.

He didn't know why he was running. He had no plan. He had no Quirk. He had nothing but a ruined notebook and shattered dreams. But seeing those eyes—seeing a person looking for help—overwrote every logical thought in his brain.

"Deku?!" Bakugo gurgled through the sludge, his eyes widening in shock as he saw the small, scrawny boy sprinting toward the towering monster.

"You again?!" the Sludge Villain roared, recognizing the green hair. "I'll kill you for real this time!"

A massive tendril of liquid muck whipped through the air, aimed directly at Izuku.

Izuku dodged, throwing his yellow backpack with all his might. The bag unzipped, spilling pencils, textbooks, and a heavy pencil case straight into the villain’s gelatinous eye.

"AGH!" the villain shrieked, recoiling. The grip on Bakugo loosened just a fraction.

Izuku clawed at the sludge with his bare hands, desperately trying to pull Bakugo out. "Kacchan!"

"Why are you here?!" Bakugo screamed, coughing violently.

"My legs moved on their own!" Izuku cried, tears streaming down his face. "I don't know why! But... you looked like you were asking for help!"

The Sludge Villain recovered, its singular eye boiling with rage. "You little brat! I'll crush you!"

The villain raised a colossal fist of sludge, preparing to slam it down on Izuku.

In a panic, Bakugo triggered a massive explosion from his right hand, aiming blindly at the villain. The blast missed the core, striking the storefront of a nearby electronics shop.

The shockwave shattered the massive plate-glass window into a thousand jagged pieces. A shower of razor-sharp shrapnel rained down over the street.

Izuku threw his hands up to protect his face.

A heavy, jagged piece of glass, the size of a dagger, sliced cleanly and deeply across the palm of Izuku's right hand.

Izuku gasped.

Blood—hot, crimson, and vibrant—spilled from the wound, dripping onto the asphalt. The pain was sudden and sharp, a stark contrast to the suffocating pressure he had felt earlier.

Time stopped.

The roaring flames, the screaming crowd, the incoming fist of sludge—it all ground to a halt.

A profound, unnatural silence fell over the world.

Izuku stood frozen. His hand was bleeding.

And in his mind, burning brighter than the fires surrounding him, was a single, overwhelming, desperate command. An objective that consumed every fiber of his being, leaving no room for fear, no room for logic, no room for doubt.

SAVE KACCHAN. DESTROY THE ENEMY.

Deep within his cellular structure, something ancient snapped awake. The two conditions were met. The lock was broken.

In the fraction of a millisecond, Izuku’s consciousness was yanked out of reality. He found himself standing in an endless, starry expanse of dark sand. The sky was an aurora of purple and blue galaxies. Before him stood a colossal, glowing tree made of pure, blinding light, its branches stretching out into infinity.

A voice, not of a person, but of a thousand overlapping echoes, vibrated through the sand and into his bones.

To you, two thousand years from now.

Izuku opened his eyes in the real world.

A spark of brilliant, blinding, golden electricity leaped from the wound on his hand. It crackled up his arm, wrapping around his torso, illuminating his terrified face in a divine, ethereal glow.

The Sludge Villain froze, sensing a sudden, catastrophic shift in the atmosphere. "What the...?"

From the clear, twilight sky, a singular, deafening bolt of golden lightning struck the earth.

KA-BOOOOOOM!

The lightning didn't come from a cloud. It materialized out of thin air, striking Izuku Midoriya directly.

The impact triggered an explosion of heat and kinetic energy that dwarfed Bakugo's blasts. The ground cracked beneath the strike, spiderweb fractures spreading across the plaza. A shockwave of pure, boiling steam erupted outward in a three-hundred-degree ring.

The Sludge Villain was thrown backward by the sheer force of the wind, dropping Bakugo in the process. Death Arms, Kamui Woods, and Mt. Lady were knocked off their feet, shielding their eyes from the blinding flash and blistering heat.

"What happened?!" Mt. Lady yelled over the roaring wind. "Did a villain attack?!"

"No!" Death Arms shouted, pointing into the epicenter of the crater. "Look!"

The golden light faded, replaced by billowing clouds of crimson and white steam. The heat was suffocating, turning the alleyway into an oven.

From within the thick curtain of smoke, two eyes ignited. They were not human eyes. They glowed with a piercing, predatory green light, filled with an ancient, untamed fury.

The ground trembled as a massive foot, devoid of skin, stepped forward, crushing the asphalt into dust.

The smoke parted.

The crowd screamed. The Pro Heroes froze in utter, paralyzing terror.

Standing in the center of the street was a giant. It was at least fifteen meters tall, towering over the three-story buildings lining the district. It possessed a humanoid shape, but it was profoundly, terrifyingly alien.

Its physique was lean but explosively muscular, heavily resembling a mythological god of war. Its skin was pale and stretched tight over dense, corded muscle. But what drew the eye was the armor. Thick, segmented plates of hardened, bone-white organic material coated its knuckles, forearms, and shins. Its face was a mask of feral intensity—elongated ears, a jagged, lipless jaw exposing rows of interlocking, predatory teeth, and wild, unkempt green hair that mirrored the boy who had just vanished.

It was a hybrid of nightmares. The Attack Titan, augmented with the defensive plating of the Armored.

Bakugo, lying on the ground coughing up sludge, looked up. His breath hitched in his throat. He stared at the colossal monster towering over him. The beast looked down. The glowing green eyes locked onto the small, ash-blonde boy.

For a horrifying second, Bakugo thought he was going to be eaten.

Instead, the Titan moved with a speed that defied its massive size. It shifted its stance, placing itself directly between Bakugo and the recovering Sludge Villain.

The Sludge Villain reformed, trembling with fear as it looked up at the fifteen-meter giant. "What... what the hell are you?! Another pro?! Get out of my way!"

The villain launched three massive spikes of compressed sludge, aiming for the Titan's head.

The Titan didn't dodge. It raised its right arm, bringing the bone-white armored plating on its forearm up like a shield. The sludge spikes hit the armor and shattered like water balloons against a steel wall.

The Titan dropped its arm. It opened its jagged jaws.

Steam erupted from its mouth, and it unleashed a roar.

It was a sound that defied description. It wasn't the scream of a beast or the yell of a man. It was a guttural, earth-shattering screech of pure, primeval dominance. The sheer acoustic force of the roar shattered the remaining windows on the street, blew out the streetlights, and cleared the smoke from the sky.

In the crowd, a skeletal, blonde-haired man clutching a bag of groceries dropped his items. All Might stared at the beast, his blue eyes wide in absolute disbelief.

The Titan lunged.

It closed the distance in a single step. Before the Sludge Villain could react, the Titan brought its armored fist back and drove it forward. It didn't use a Quirk. It didn't manipulate the elements. It used pure, overwhelming kinetic mass.

The armored fist slammed into the center of the sludge. The impact created a concussive shockwave that ripped the villain’s liquid body apart, splattering it across the walls of the buildings.

The villain tried to reform, squealing in terror, but the Titan was faster. It reached down with massive, terrifying precision. Using its thumb and forefinger, the Titan pinched the villain's solid core—the eyes and mouth—plucking it from the splatter like a weed.

The Titan looked around, spotting the two empty soda bottles All Might had dropped earlier, now rolling in the gutter.

With surgical delicacy that contrasted horribly with its monstrous appearance, the fifteen-meter Titan unscrewed the caps, shoved the squealing villain inside, and screwed the caps back on tight.

It placed the bottles gently on the pavement in front of a dumbstruck Death Arms.

Silence descended upon the burning street. The only sound was the crackling of dying fires and the hiss of steam rising from the Titan's muscular frame.

The beast stood tall, looking down at its hands. It slowly turned its head, looking at the stunned crowd, at the terrified Bakugo, and finally, at the Pro Heroes.

Then, the Titan's legs gave out.

It fell forward, crashing onto its knees, shaking the earth one final time. Its massive upper body slumped forward, resting its armored head on the asphalt.

"It's going down!" Kamui Woods yelled, preparing to restrain it.

But there was no need.

The flesh of the giant began to bubble and hiss. It ignited into a massive cloud of boiling, white steam. The muscle, the bone, the armor—it all rapidly evaporated into thin air, dissolving as if it had never been there at all.

As the dense steam cleared, the crowd saw something lying in the center of the crater.

It wasn't a monster.

It was a small, scrawny fourteen-year-old boy in a black school uniform. His right hand was covered in blood, but the wound was already rapidly knitting itself closed, emitting tiny wisps of steam.

Izuku Midoriya lay unconscious, a peaceful expression on his face, oblivious to the fact that he had just rewritten the rules of the world.

All Might pushed his way to the front of the police barricade. He stared at the sleeping boy, the boy he had dismissed just an hour ago on that rooftop. He looked at the smoking crater. He looked at the captured villain.

A wide, genuine smile broke across Toshinori Yagi's sunken face.

I told him to be realistic, All Might thought, his heart pounding in his chest. And he responded by conjuring a miracle.

The world had fundamentally shifted on its axis, yet for Izuku Midoriya, the immediate aftermath felt remarkably mundane.

He awoke to the sterile scent of antiseptic, the rhythmic beeping of a heart monitor, and the sensation of something hot and wet dripping onto his forearm. He blinked his eyes open, his vision blurry, adjusting to the harsh fluorescent lights of a hospital room.

The wetness on his arm was his mother’s tears. Inko Midoriya was slumped over his bedside, clutching his hand as if letting go would cause him to vanish into thin air.

"Mom?" his voice croaked, his throat feeling as dry as sandpaper.

Inko’s head snapped up. Her eyes were red and swollen, her face pale with exhaustion. "Izuku! Oh, my baby! You’re awake!" She threw her arms around him, burying her face in his chest. "I was so terrified! The police called, they said you were in the middle of a villain attack, and then they said you... you..."

She couldn't finish the sentence. She just wept.

Izuku patted her back awkwardly, his mind racing to catch up. The memories hit him like a freight train. The Sludge Villain. Kacchan suffocating. The desperate sprint. The shard of glass slicing his palm.

And then... the desert of stars. The glowing tree. The lightning.

He pulled his right hand away from his mother’s grip and stared at his palm. The deep, jagged laceration from the glass was entirely gone. In its place was faint, unblemished pink skin, indistinguishable from the rest of his hand.

Was it a dream? he thought, his heart hammering in his chest. No. The villain is caught. I remember... I remember looking down at Kacchan from high up. From really, really high up.

Before he could process the sheer magnitude of what had happened, the door to his hospital room clicked open.

"Excuse me, Mrs. Midoriya," a deep, resonant voice said.

Standing in the doorway was a tall, incredibly gaunt man with unkempt blonde hair and sunken blue eyes. He wore a yellow suit that hung loosely on his skeletal frame.

Inko wiped her eyes, sniffing. "Oh, yes. You’re the... detective? Or the hero agency representative?"

"A bit of both, ma'am," Toshinori Yagi replied, offering a polite, disarming smile. "My name is Yagi. I was hoping I could speak with your son for a few moments regarding the incident."

"Of course," Inko said, standing up. She kissed Izuku’s forehead. "I'll go get you some water and find the doctor."

As soon as the door clicked shut behind her, Toshinori's posture shifted. He locked the door, turned around, and exhaled a long, heavy sigh.

"I have a lot of apologizing to do, young man," All Might said, pulling up a chair and sitting heavily beside the bed.

Izuku’s eyes went wide. "All Might! Y-You came to check on me? Did you get in trouble because of me? I'm so sorry, if I hadn't grabbed your leg, the villain wouldn't have escaped, and Kacchan—"

"Stop." All Might raised a bony hand, shaking his head. "Do not apologize. The fault was entirely mine. I was careless. I let my limit blind me to my surroundings. But more than that, I am here to apologize for what I said to you on that roof."

Izuku froze.

"I told you to be realistic," All Might said, his blue eyes locking onto Izuku with intense, burning sincerity. "I looked at a young man with the heart of a true hero, and I told him to give up because he lacked a Quirk. I allowed my own cynicism and my own injuries to cloud my judgment."

All Might leaned forward, resting his elbows on his knees. "And then, less than an hour later, I watched you sprint into a blazing inferno when pro heroes stood by and did nothing. You had no power, yet you moved. And in doing so, you awakened something... incredible."

Izuku looked down at his lap. "I don't even know what I did. I just... I wanted to save him so badly. My hand was cut, and then I was somewhere else. And then I was huge."

"The police and the media are in a frenzy," All Might chuckled softly. "They think a new pro hero arrived on the scene, defeated the villain, and fled before anyone could identify him. Only myself, Death Arms, and your friend Bakugo saw you emerge from the steam. I managed to convince the police to keep your identity confidential for now, citing the danger of villain retaliation. They agreed to list the hero as 'Unknown'."

"Thank you," Izuku breathed.

"Midoriya," All Might said, his tone turning dead serious. "Whatever that power is, it is not a normal Quirk. The sheer biological mass, the kinetic output, the steam... it is monstrous in its scale. Left unchecked, a power like that could level cities. It could destroy you."

Izuku trembled. He had felt it. The primal, untamed fury boiling in his blood when he was inside that flesh-mecha. It felt violent. Unforgiving.

"But," All Might continued, his voice softening, "it is piloted by the kindest, most heroic heart I have encountered in a long time. You asked me if you could be a hero."

All Might stood up, tall and proud despite his withered frame.

"Izuku Midoriya. You can become a hero."

Tears, hot and fast, spilled down Izuku’s cheeks. The words he had waited his entire life to hear, delivered by the man he idolized above all others. He buried his face in his hands and sobbed, the weight of fourteen years of rejection washing away.

"But you cannot do it alone," All Might said, placing a gentle hand on Izuku's shoulder. "I want to mentor you. I will not give you my power—you clearly have more than enough of your own—but I will teach you how to control it. How to bear the weight of it. Will you accept my guidance?"

Izuku wiped his eyes, his expression hardening into one of absolute resolve. "Yes. Yes, please!"

Ten Months Before the U.A. Entrance Exam

Dagobah Municipal Beach Park was a tragedy. Once a beautiful stretch of coastline, it had been subjected to years of illegal dumping, transforming it into a towering, unstable labyrinth of rusted refrigerators, broken trucks, and jagged scrap metal.

It was the perfect training ground.

"Your Quirk—let’s call it Titan Genesis for now—is highly conditional," All Might explained, standing on a relatively clear patch of sand, wearing his oversized tracksuit. He was holding a clipboard.

Izuku stood before him, wearing a white t-shirt and shorts. He had spent the last two weeks under All Might’s guidance just experimenting with the trigger mechanisms.

"Condition one: A physical injury that draws blood," All Might read from his notes. "Condition two: A clear, distinct goal in your mind at the exact moment of the injury. If you just cut yourself without a goal, it merely heals with steam. If you have a goal but no injury, nothing happens."

"Right," Izuku nodded, looking at the small, fading scars on his left thumb. He had taken to biting his thumb to trigger the power, as it was quick and reliable.

"Furthermore, the stamina drain is astronomical," All Might noted, tapping the clipboard with his pen. "When you fully transformed into that fifteen-meter giant, you slept for two solid days afterward. Your caloric burn is off the charts. If you transform without enough energy, the Titan will devour your own muscle mass to sustain itself, and you could end up permanently merging with the construct."

Izuku shuddered at the thought of being trapped inside a cage of boiling muscle and bone.

"So, we have two objectives for the next ten months," All Might declared. "First, we bulk you up. You are going to eat more than you ever thought humanly possible. Protein, carbs, fats—you are going to become a furnace. You will clean this entire beach manually to build your baseline human strength."

"And the second objective?" Izuku asked.

"Control," All Might said, pointing to a rusted, two-ton pickup truck buried in the sand. "A full transformation is your ultimate move, but it’s too costly, and quite frankly, too destructive for everyday hero work. If a purse snatcher runs down an alley, you cannot drop a fifteen-meter giant onto the city block."

"Makes sense," Izuku agreed. "But how do I fix that?"

"By doing it in pieces," All Might instructed. "Focus on the feeling you had when you transformed. The connection to that... space you described. The paths of light. Try to pull just a fraction of that power into reality. Focus your goal on moving that truck."

Izuku stepped up to the rusted truck. He took a deep breath, visualizing the glowing, cosmic tree in his mind's eye. He raised his left hand to his mouth and bit down hard on his thumb.

The copper taste of blood flooded his tongue.

Goal: Smash the truck.

Scale: Just the arm.

Golden lightning sparked around his left shoulder. There was a sickening, wet sound of flesh rapidly expanding, accompanied by a deafening hiss of high-pressure steam.

Izuku cried out, not in pain, but from the sheer, staggering weight suddenly attached to his body.

Bursting from his left shoulder was a massive, monstrous arm. It was easily ten feet long, covered in thick, dark auburn fur. The muscles bulged absurdly, resembling an ape more than a human. The hand at the end of the limb was massive, possessing long, dexterous fingers with thick nails.

Izuku fell to one knee, panting, his human body struggling to anchor the massive, furry appendage. Red, glowing, fleshy tendrils connected his shoulder to the base of the giant arm, anchoring it to his nervous system.

"Incredible!" All Might cheered, coughing up a bit of blood in his excitement. "It's completely different from the armored form you took against the Sludge Villain! It looks like a beast!"

"It's... heavy..." Izuku grunted. He focused his mind, moving his own left arm. The massive, furry Titan arm mirrored his movement perfectly.

With a roar of effort, Izuku swung his human arm forward. The Beast Titan’s arm mirrored the strike, slamming its massive, fur-covered fist into the rusted pickup truck.

The truck crumpled like aluminum foil, launching twenty feet into the air before crashing into the ocean with a massive splash.

Izuku severed his mental connection. The red tendrils snapped, and the massive arm detached from his shoulder, instantly turning into boiling steam and dissolving into the wind. Izuku collapsed onto the sand, gasping for air.

"Excellent!" All Might clapped. "Partial manifestation! You drastically reduced the stamina cost, and you maintained your human mobility. This is your path forward, Young Midoriya. You have an entire arsenal of biological weapons sleeping inside your blood."

Over the next ten months, Izuku Midoriya experienced hell.

His mother thought he was hitting a growth spurt, given that he was suddenly consuming five thousands calories a day. He ate bowls of rice the size of small mountains, whole roasted chickens, and dozens of eggs.

Physically, his body transformed. He didn't become bulky like All Might, but lean, corded, and incredibly dense. His muscles were built not just for strength, but to act as an anchor for the monstrous biological constructs he was learning to summon.

At Dagobah Beach, he experimented. He learned that his Titan Quirk wasn't just one form; it was an amalgamation of nine distinct powers.

He could summon the Jaw. By biting his hand and focusing on cutting, he could manifest massive, hardened bone-claws over his human hands that could slice through solid steel refrigerators like warm butter.

He could summon the Armor. By focusing on defense, bone-white, organic plating would manifest over his skin, allowing him to take a sledgehammer to the chest without flinching.

He could summon the Warhammer. This was the most versatile. Instead of manifesting flesh, he could materialize hardened, crystal-like constructs from his body or the ground—spikes, shields, or even a massive, functional crossbow.

He learned about the Cart (which offered immense endurance and a bizarre, quadrupedal speed if he partially manifested its legs) and the Female (which allowed for localized crystallization and incredible martial agility).

By the end of the tenth month, Dagobah Beach was spotless. Not a single piece of trash remained. The sun rose over the sparkling ocean, reflecting off the clean, white sand.

Standing on the seawall was Izuku Midoriya. He was no longer the frail, timid boy who cowered behind his desk. He stood tall, his green hair blowing in the wind, a confident, determined fire burning in his emerald eyes. His hands were calloused and dotted with tiny, white scars from thousands of self-inflicted bites.

All Might stood beside him in his muscle form, looking out at the horizon.

"You did well, Young Midoriya," All Might rumbled, placing a massive hand on Izuku's head. "You exceeded my every expectation. You are a vessel of absolute power, but you have tamed the beast."

Izuku looked down at his scarred hands. "I'm ready, All Might. I'm going to U.A. I'm going to prove that I can use this monster to save people."

"I know you will," All Might smiled, steam rising from his form as he deflated back into his skeletal self. "Now, go home, take a shower, and eat a massive breakfast. You have an exam to crush."

The U.A. Entrance Exam

U.A. High School was intimidatingly massive. Its glass structures towered over the surrounding city like a fortress of glass and steel.

Izuku walked through the front gates, adjusting the straps of his backpack. He felt a profound sense of calm. The frantic, nervous energy that used to define his existence was gone. When you spend ten months wrestling with an inner god of destruction, high school entrance exams lose a bit of their terrifying edge.

"Out of my way, Deku."

The voice was gruff, low, and familiar.

Izuku stopped and turned. Katsuki Bakugo stood a few feet away, glaring at him with a mixture of hostility and profound confusion. It had been ten months since the Sludge Villain incident. Ten months since Bakugo had watched Izuku summon a god from the sky.

They hadn't spoken about it. Bakugo had avoided him entirely, his pride wounded and his worldview shattered.

"Morning, Kacchan," Izuku said evenly. He didn't flinch. He didn't stutter.

Bakugo’s eye twitched. The lack of fear in Izuku’s voice infuriated him more than anything else. "Don't act like you're on my level. I don't know what kind of trick you pulled in that alleyway. Maybe it was a one-time fluke. Maybe you used some illegal support gear. But you're still a Quirkless nobody."

Izuku looked at him, his expression completely blank. He remembered how those words used to cut him like a knife. Now, they just felt empty.

"Good luck on the exam, Kacchan," Izuku said, turning around and walking toward the main building.

Bakugo stood frozen, his fists trembling, small pops of nitroglycerin igniting in his palms. "Don't walk away from me!" he yelled, but Izuku was already gone in the crowd.

As Izuku approached the main doors, his foot caught on a slightly raised paving stone. He pitched forward, bracing for impact.

I could manifest the Armor on my face, he thought idly, but that might ruin the pavement.

Before he could hit the ground, he stopped in mid-air. He felt weightless.

"Are you okay?" a bright, cheerful voice asked.

Izuku looked to his side. A girl with short brown hair and rosy cheeks was standing there, holding her hand out. She had touched his shoulder, rendering him entirely immune to gravity.

She placed her hands together, murmuring "Release," and Izuku dropped the final two inches to the ground.

"It's my Quirk! Sorry for using it without asking first," she smiled warmly. "But it would be bad luck if you fell right before the exam, right?"

Izuku blinked, genuinely charmed. "Oh. Thank you. That's a very versatile Quirk. Gravity manipulation?"

"Yep! I'm Ochaco Uraraka. Good luck in there!" She waved, jogging off toward the auditorium.

Izuku smiled, feeling a spark of genuine excitement. U.A. is full of amazing people.

The written exam was a breeze. Izuku’s obsessive studying and note-taking habits had prepared him well.

The real challenge began in the auditorium, where the Voice Hero, Present Mic, explained the rules of the practical exam. They were to be dropped into mock cityscapes and tasked with destroying robotic villains. There were three types of robots, worth one, two, and three points respectively.

Destroying robots, Izuku thought, analyzing the handout. It's a pure combat test. They're trying to weed out Quirks that aren't combat-oriented. But with my Quirk... this is almost unfair.

Present Mic also mentioned a Zero Pointer—an obstacle meant to be avoided.

Izuku was assigned to Battle Center B. He stood before the towering metal gates of the mock city, surrounded by dozens of other anxious students. He wore a simple green tracksuit, doing some light stretching.

A tall boy with glasses and engines in his calves—who had scolded Izuku in the auditorium—was glaring at him. Izuku ignored him, focusing on his breathing.

He didn't need a full transformation for this. He needed speed, precision, and blunt force.

"RIGHT, LET'S START!" Present Mic's voice blasted from the speakers overhead. "THERE ARE NO COUNTDOWNS IN REAL BATTLES! RUN, RUN, RUN!"

The gates opened.

While the other students stood frozen, processing the command, Izuku moved.

He brought his left thumb to his mouth and bit down hard.

Blood drawn. Objective: Maximum mobility and lethal strikes.

Golden electricity crackled violently around his legs and arms. The students behind him gasped as thick, high-pressure steam erupted from Izuku's body.

In a fraction of a second, bone-white, segmented armor plates violently manifested over Izuku’s shins and thighs, locking into place with a heavy, metallic clack. Simultaneously, his hands expanded slightly, coated in an incredibly dense, organic white crystal, forming sharp, jagged claws—the power of the Jaw Titan.

Izuku kicked off the ground. The armored plates on his legs allowed his muscles to exert forces that would normally shatter human bone.

He shot forward like a cannonball, crossing fifty meters in a second, leaving a crater where he had stood and a trail of white steam in his wake.

"What the hell was that?!" a student screamed.

Izuku rounded a corner and immediately encountered three 1-Pointer robots. They locked onto him, raising their blasters.

"Target acquired," the robotic voices droned.

Izuku didn't slow down. He leapt into the air, spinning. He brought his right hand down in a vicious arc. The hardened Jaw claws sliced through the solid steel chassis of the first robot as if it were made of wet tissue paper. The robot bisected cleanly, exploding into scrap.

He landed on the second robot, using his armored legs to crush its visual sensors, before backhanding the third, completely caving in its chest plate with the dense crystal coating his knuckles.

Three points, Izuku thought, his mind crystal clear. The steam trailing from his body kept him cool, his metabolism burning hot.

He took off again.

He found a cluster of 2-Pointers and 3-Pointers terrorizing a group of students.

Izuku dashed in. He didn't use flashy moves. He used brutal, overwhelming efficiency. He moved like a feral predator, his movements a blur of green, white armor, and golden sparks. He tore off robotic limbs with his bare hands, shattered optics with a single punch, and used the Armored plating on his legs to literally run through the thinner chassis of the 1-Pointers.

Twenty points. Forty points. Sixty points.

He was a force of nature.

High above the mock cities, in a darkened observation room, the faculty of U.A. watched a wall of monitors.

"We have a very promising crop this year," a small, white animal in a suit—Principal Nezu—said, sipping tea. "A good mix of tactical Quirks and raw power."

"Look at screen four," a tired voice drawled. Eraserhead, Shota Aizawa, narrowed his eyes at the monitor displaying Battle Center B. "The kid with the green hair. What is that?"

All Might, sitting in his muscle form in the back row, felt a surge of intense pride. Show them, my boy.

On the screen, Izuku was tearing through a 3-Pointer, his hands coated in what looked like bone. He moved with a frightening, mechanical precision.

"Midoriya Izuku," Nezu read from a file. "Registered Quirk: None. Wait, that can't be right. He clearly possesses a potent transformation or mutation-type ability."

"It's highly advanced," Midnight noted, licking her lips. "He's manifesting biological weapons, but he’s not fully transforming his body. He’s layering the constructs over his limbs. And the steam... is he regulating his body temperature through rapid cellular decay?"

"His efficiency is terrifying," Aizawa muttered, leaning closer to the screen. "He doesn't waste a single movement. It’s almost... villainous in its brutality. But he’s fully in control. He's at 72 points already. He’s completely dominating the arena."

"Let's see how they handle the true test of a hero," Nezu said, his paw hovering over a large red button on the console. "Not just combat... but overwhelming despair."

Nezu pressed the button.

The ground in Battle Center B violently shook.

Izuku paused, dropping the mangled head of a 2-Pointer. He looked up.

At the far end of the street, the buildings were being shoved aside like cardboard boxes. A massive, towering shadow engulfed the street.

The Zero Pointer.

It wasn't a robot. It was a skyscraper on treads. It rolled into the city, crushing everything in its path, standing at least fifty meters tall. Its single red optic glowed with menacing intent.

"Run!"

"It's the Zero Pointer! We can't fight that!"

The examinees panicked, turning and sprinting away from the behemoth. Izuku stood his ground, analyzing the machine.

It's massive. Too big for the Beast Titan's arm to crush. Too heavily armored for the Jaw's claws to slice effectively. The Warhammer could pierce it, but it would take too much time to manifest a spike that large.

He prepared to turn and run. He had more than enough points to pass.

"Ow! Help!"

Izuku froze. His head snapped toward the source of the cry.

Near the base of the approaching Zero Pointer, trapped under a massive chunk of concrete rubble, was the girl who had saved him from tripping. Uraraka. She was pinned, desperately trying to push the rubble off her leg, tears in her eyes as the gargantuan treads of the robot rolled closer.

No one else was stopping. They were all running for their lives.

Izuku didn't think. The same instinct that had pushed him into the sludge villain’s fires kicked in, overriding all logic.

He didn't run away. He sprinted toward the Zero Pointer.

"Hey! What are you doing?! Are you crazy?!" the boy with the engine legs yelled as he ran past, but Izuku ignored him.

Izuku stopped ten meters away from Uraraka, placing himself directly between her and the towering death machine. The robot raised a massive, hydraulic fist, preparing to crush the street in front of it.

Izuku looked up at the fist. He knew exactly what he had to do.

Partial manifestations won't work, Izuku thought, his heart hammering against his ribs. I need maximum output. I need absolute destruction.

He raised his right hand. He didn't bite his thumb. He bit down hard on the webbing between his thumb and index finger, drawing a massive amount of blood.

Blood drawn.

He stared up at the Zero Pointer, his green eyes burning with a fierce, uncompromising resolve.

Objective: Obliterate the enemy. Protect the girl. Become the Colossus.

In the observation room, All Might bolted out of his chair, recognizing the stance. No! Midoriya! The blast radius!

In the mock city, the world went silent.

Golden lightning didn't just spark; it cascaded from the sky in a blinding, apocalyptic storm. A localized singularity of light and heat enveloped Izuku Midoriya.

"What...?" Uraraka whispered, shielding her eyes.

KA-BOOOOOOOOOOOOM!

The explosion was biblical.

It wasn't fire; it was pure, unadulterated thermal energy and boiling steam. A shockwave of crimson light and three-hundred-degree steam erupted from Izuku's position, blowing outward like a nuclear detonation.

Izuku, in the fraction of a second before the blast wave hit Uraraka, focused the kinetic direction of the explosion upward and forward, acting as a human shaped charge.

The heat wave hit the Zero Pointer. The steel plating of the robot didn't just crumple; it instantaneously warped, glowing cherry red as the paint vaporized.

But the explosion was just the beginning.

From the blinding cloud of superheated steam, a foot the size of a city bus slammed into the ground.

The steam parted, pushed away by the sheer mass of the entity rising from the crater.

The examinees, who had been running away, were knocked off their feet by the wind pressure. They turned around and stared in absolute, mind-breaking horror.

Standing in the center of the mock city was a God of Destruction.

It was sixty meters tall—taller than the buildings, taller than the Zero Pointer itself. It had no skin. It was a colossal, terrifying monstrosity of raw, exposed red muscle tissue and bone. Thick, white steam radiated constantly from its exposed musculature, cooking the air around it. Its face was skeletal, devoid of lips, exposing massive teeth, with glowing, sunken eyes that radiated an ancient, terrifying heat.

The Colossal Titan.

Uraraka, shielded from the heat by the Titan’s massive foot positioned perfectly over her, looked up at the skinless giant, her jaw unhinged in awe.

The Zero Pointer, its circuits already frying from the ambient heat of the Titan, raised its fist to strike.

The Colossal Titan moved slowly, burdened by its own impossible mass, but it didn't need speed.

It raised its massive, skinless arm, pulling it back. The muscle fibers tensed, glowing red-hot with internal heat.

With a slow, devastating swing, the Colossal Titan kicked the Zero Pointer.

The impact sounded like a bomb going off inside a bell. The Titan's foot caved in the entire front chassis of the massive robot. The sheer force lifted the millions of tons of metal off the ground, sending the Zero Pointer flying backward. It crashed through three city blocks of the mock arena before exploding into a massive fireball.

The Colossal Titan slowly lowered its leg. It looked down at the ruined city beneath it. It slowly turned its skeletal, skinless face toward the observation cameras hidden in the remaining buildings.

In the observation room, there was dead silence.

Midnight had dropped her whip. Present Mic’s jaw was touching his desk. Aizawa’s eyes were wide, his Quirk activating instinctively, though he knew it wouldn't work through a screen.

Nezu’s teacup had shattered on the floor.

"What... in God's name... is that?" Ectoplasm whispered.

"A sixty-meter biological construct," Nezu breathed, his fur standing on end. "Generated in an instant. The thermal output is equivalent to a small tactical warhead. Is this... is this a student?"

All Might stood silently, wiping sweat from his brow. You went a little overboard, my boy.

Back in the arena, the Colossal Titan began to dissolve. The massive muscles boiled away into white steam, the skeleton collapsing under its own weight and turning to dust before it even hit the ground.

From the dense fog of steam at the base of the nape, Izuku Midoriya emerged. He was panting heavily, his skin flushed red from the heat, his clothes slightly singed.

He slid down the dissolving bone, dropping gracefully to the street below. He walked over to Uraraka, who was staring at him as if he were an alien.

Izuku crouched down. He raised his hand, lightly biting his thumb. A small spark of lightning flashed, and a thin, crystalline spike of Warhammer material shot out from his wrist, wedging under the rubble on her leg and effortlessly flipping the massive concrete slab off her.

"Are you okay?" Izuku asked gently, offering her a hand.

Uraraka took it, entirely speechless, nodding dumbly.

"THE EXAM IS OVER!" Present Mic’s voice finally cracked over the loudspeakers, sounding noticeably shaken.

Izuku let out a long breath. The adrenaline faded, and the sheer exhaustion of triggering the Colossus hit him. He swayed on his feet, his vision spotting.

"Ah," Izuku muttered. "I'm going to pass out now."

He fell backward, hitting the pavement with a soft thud, sound asleep.

One Week Later

Katsuki Bakugo sat in his room, staring at the holographic projection emanating from the metal disk on his desk.

"You passed with flying colors, young Bakugo!" All Might’s pre-recorded voice boomed. "77 Villain points! An exceptional score, putting you near the top of the pack!"

Bakugo smirked. Of course he did. He was a genius. He was the best.

"However," the hologram continued, "you were not the number one scorer."

Bakugo’s smirk vanished. "What?"

A leaderboard appeared next to All Might’s face.

1. Midoriya Izuku - 72 Villain Points | 60 Rescue Points - Total: 132 Points.

2. Bakugo Katsuki - 77 Villain Points | 0 Rescue Points - Total: 77 Points.

Bakugo stopped breathing. He stared at the name. Midoriya Izuku.

The gap in points wasn't just a margin; it was a canyon. It was a complete and utter humiliation.

"Rescue points!" All Might explained on the recording. "A hero does not just destroy villains! They save lives! Midoriya Izuku risked his own life—and demonstrated a staggering, unprecedented level of power—to save a fellow student! Thus, he was awarded 60 rescue points, securing the highest score in U.A. Entrance Exam history!"

Bakugo slowly reached out and grabbed the metal disk. His hand was trembling so violently that it rattled against the desk.

132 points.

Unprecedented level of power.

The image of the armored giant in the alleyway flashed in Bakugo's mind. For ten months, he had told himself it was a fluke. A trick. That Deku was still the pebble on the side of the road.

But U.A. didn't accept flukes. U.A. had seen what he was.

"Deku..." Bakugo whispered, his voice cracking with a mixture of rage, betrayal, and an unfamiliar, terrifying emotion that felt dangerously close to fear.

With a roar of absolute fury, Bakugo ignited his Quirk, blowing his desk chair into splinters.

"DEKU!"

Across town, Izuku Midoriya sneezed. He was sitting at his dining room table, eating his fourth whole chicken of the evening, looking at his own holographic acceptance letter with a soft, satisfied smile.

He was going to U.A. And he was going to be the strongest hero in the world.

The halls of U.A. High School were cavernous, designed to accommodate the sheer variety of biological anomalies that Quirks produced. Yet, as Izuku Midoriya stood before the massive, towering door marked 1-A, he felt a familiar, human flutter of anxiety in his chest.

He took a deep breath, inhaling the scent of polished floors and ozone. He held up his left hand, looking at the faint, silver scars dotting his thumb and index finger. They were a comfort to him now. A reminder that he was no longer defenseless.

He pushed the door open.

The classroom was already lively. At the front, the tall boy with engines in his calves—Tenya Iida, as Izuku had learned from the entrance exam roster—was chopping his hand through the air, loudly scolding someone for putting their feet on the desk.

That someone, of course, was Katsuki Bakugo.

"Don't put your feet on the desk!" Iida barked, adjusting his glasses. "It's disrespectful to the upperclassmen who used it before us, and to the craftsmen who made it!"

"Huh?" Bakugo sneered, his red eyes burning with a mixture of boredom and hostility. "What junior high did you go to, you extra? I'll crush you."

"Crush me?! How barbaric!" Iida gasped.

Izuku stepped fully into the room. The moment his green shoes squeaked against the linoleum, Bakugo’s head snapped toward the door. The arrogant sneer vanished from Bakugo’s face, replaced instantly by a tight, rigid scowl. The air between them practically hummed with unresolved tension. Bakugo didn't yell. He didn't mock. He just stared at Izuku, his eyes tracking the boy’s every movement like a cornered animal watching a predator.

"Oh! It's you!"

Izuku turned to see Ochaco Uraraka beaming at him, her round face lit up with genuine delight. "The boy who leveled the city block! Midoriya, right?"

The rest of the class suddenly quieted down, turning to look at Izuku. Whispers broke out.

"Wait, that's the guy?"

"I saw it from a block away. It was a giant monster..."

"He looks so plain..."

"H-Hi, Uraraka," Izuku smiled, rubbing the back of his neck. "Yeah, that's me."

"If you're just here to make friends, you can pack up your things and leave."

The voice came from the floor. The students jumped, looking down to see a man zipped up inside a bright yellow sleeping bag, resembling a giant, unkempt caterpillar. The man unzipped the bag and stood up, revealing tired, bloodshot eyes, a scruffy beard, and a black scarf wrapped loosely around his neck.

"It took you eight seconds to quiet down," the man drawled, pulling a juice pouch from his pocket and taking a sip. "Time is a precious resource. You kids aren't rational enough. I'm your homeroom teacher, Shota Aizawa. Nice to meet you."

The class stared in shock. This was a pro hero?

Aizawa reached into his sleeping bag and pulled out a stack of blue and white uniforms. "Put these P.E. clothes on and head out to the training grounds. We're doing a Quirk Apprehension Test."

The P.E. grounds were vast and bathed in the bright morning sun. The twenty students of Class 1-A stood in their gym uniforms, shivering slightly in the brisk air.

"A Quirk Apprehension Test?!" Uraraka cried. "But what about the entrance ceremony? Or orientation?"

"If you're going to become heroes, you don't have time for leisurely events," Aizawa said coldly, his back to them. "U.A.'s selling point is its unrestricted traditions. That goes for how the teachers run their classes, too. You've been doing these fitness tests since junior high, but without your Quirks. It's irrational. The Ministry of Education is dragging its feet."

Aizawa turned, his dark eyes sweeping over the students. He stopped on Izuku for a fraction of a second longer than the rest.

"Bakugo," Aizawa called out. "You finished second in the practical exam. What was your farthest softball throw in junior high?"

Bakugo clicked his tongue, stepping forward. "Sixty-seven meters."

"Try it with your Quirk." Aizawa tossed him a baseball. "Do whatever you want, just stay in the circle."

Bakugo stepped into the pitcher's circle. He stretched his arms, a feral grin slowly returning to his face. He wound up, his muscles tensing. "DIE!" he roared.

A massive explosion erupted from his palm as he released the ball, propelling it into the stratosphere with a trail of black smoke. The shockwave ruffled the students' hair.

Aizawa held up a digital device. 705.2 meters.

"Know your own maximum limit first," Aizawa said lazily. "That is the most rational way to form the foundation of a hero."

"Whoa! Seven hundred meters?! That's awesome!" a boy with yellow hair and a black lightning bolt streak cheered.

"We can use our Quirks as much as we want! This looks like fun!" a girl with pink skin and horns laughed.

Aizawa’s eyes darkened. "Fun? You have three years to become heroes. Are you going to have an attitude like that the whole time? Fine. Whoever comes in last place in all eight tests will be judged to have no potential... and will be expelled."

The class erupted in panic.

"Expelled?! But it's the first day!" Uraraka protested. "That's completely unfair!"

"Natural disasters, massive accidents, ego-maniacal villains. Calamities that cannot be predicted," Aizawa countered, stepping closer to the students, his aura oppressive. "Japan is covered in unfairness. Heroes are the ones who reverse those situations. If you wanted to hang out with friends, too bad. For the next three years, U.A. will inflict hardship after hardship upon you. Go Plus Ultra. Overcome it."

Izuku took a deep breath. He didn't feel panic. He felt a cold, calculating calm settle over his mind. Eight tests. Physical limits. Control.

"Test one: 50-meter dash," Aizawa announced.

Izuku lined up against Iida. Iida took a perfect sprinter's stance, his engine calves revving with blue exhaust. Izuku stood up straight. He lifted his left hand to his mouth.

Just the legs. Focus on the Cart.

Izuku bit his thumb.

The familiar metallic taste of blood hit his tongue. A spark of golden electricity flashed, accompanied by a sharp hiss of steam. The students nearby flinched as Izuku dropped to all fours.

Flesh and bone violently erupted from his calves and forearms, tearing through the pant legs of his uniform (which he had wisely rolled up). But he didn't grow armor. Instead, thick, corded, quadrupedal muscles materialized, elongating his limbs slightly. His hands and feet were covered in dense, leathery pads.

"On your marks... get set..." the robot announced. Bang!

Iida shot off like a bullet. But Izuku moved like a beast.

He didn't run; he bounded. The quadrupedal anatomy of the Cart Titan was designed for relentless endurance and bizarre, erratic speed. Izuku scrambled across the dirt track like a giant, terrifying wolf. The ground cracked beneath his padded claws.

3.04 seconds! the robot announced for Iida.

2.15 seconds! it announced for Izuku.

Izuku crossed the finish line and immediately stood up. He severed the mental connection to the Cart limbs. The extra muscle mass instantly boiled away into a thick cloud of white steam, leaving Izuku standing normally, completely unbothered.

"What kind of Quirk is that?!" Kaminari gasped, waving away the steam. "It looked completely different from the giant monster in the videos!"

"It's a multi-form biological manifestation," a girl with a black ponytail, Momo Yaoyorozu, analyzed, her eyes wide. "But the thermal energy he's expelling to dissolve it... it's incredibly efficient."

Next was the grip strength test.

A multi-armed boy named Shoji scored an impressive 540 kilograms. Izuku walked up to the machine. He didn't even need to bite himself this time; the small wound on his thumb from the dash hadn't fully healed yet. He focused his intent on his right hand.

Armor.

With a sickening crunch, dense, bone-white plating violently grew over his hand, snapping into place like an organic gauntlet. He squeezed the machine.

With a screech of twisting metal, the grip machine exploded into shrapnel.

Izuku looked at the broken handle in his armored hand. "Um... Aizawa-sensei? How do we score a broken machine?"

Aizawa sighed, rubbing his temples. "Just mark it as immeasurable."

The tests continued. Izuku dominated. In the standing long jump, he used a burst of Jaw Titan muscle to launch himself entirely over the sandbox. In the sustained side-steps, he used the lithe, localized muscle fibers of the Female Titan to bounce back and forth at blinding speeds.

He wasn't using full transformations. He was using his Titan abilities like a surgeon uses a scalpel. He was proving to the class, and to Aizawa, that he was in absolute control.

Finally, it was time for the softball throw.

Uraraka went first, applying zero gravity to the ball and scoring a literal 'Infinity'. The class cheered.

Izuku stepped into the circle. He picked up the softball. It felt incredibly light in his hand. He took a deep breath, raising his scarred thumb to his mouth.

Suddenly, a grey scarf wrapped tightly around Izuku’s torso, pulling him taut. His Quirk factor, the simmering heat in his blood, vanished instantly.

Izuku blinked, looking back.

Aizawa was glaring at him, his hair floating in the air, his eyes glowing a menacing red. The Erasure Quirk.

"I watched the tapes of your entrance exam, Midoriya," Aizawa said, his voice dangerously low. The rest of the class watched in tense silence. "You scored 132 points. The highest in history. You did it by manifesting a sixty-meter, skinless biological construct that detonated with the force of a tactical explosive."

Izuku didn't break eye contact. "Yes, sir."

"Your Quirk is highly destructive. It is chaotic, monstrous, and objectively villainous in its appearance and scale," Aizawa continued, pulling the capture weapon tighter. "When you fully transform, you cause massive collateral damage. If you lose control of that thing inside a populated city, you wouldn't be a hero. You'd be a Kaiju. A natural disaster. Can you control this power, or are you just a liability waiting to snap?"

Izuku understood. Aizawa wasn't being mean; he was being deeply, profoundly pragmatic. A hero's job was to save people, not level the city in the process.

"I can control it, Sensei," Izuku said, his voice calm, resolute, and unwavering. "I've spent ten months ensuring that I am the master of my own flesh. I am not a monster. I am a hero."

Aizawa stared at him for a long, heavy moment. He searched Izuku's green eyes for any sign of arrogance, instability, or bloodlust. He found nothing but a terrifying, immovable resolve.

Aizawa blinked. His hair fell. The scarf loosened. "Prove it. Do not destroy the field."

Izuku nodded. He turned back toward the open expanse of the training ground. He lifted his thumb and bit down hard, drawing fresh blood.

Objective: Maximum kinetic output. Minimal area of effect.

Form: The Beast.

Golden electricity shattered the air. A deafening boom echoed across the field as a geyser of boiling steam erupted from Izuku's right side.

The students screamed, taking several steps back. Even Bakugo flinched.

From the steam emerged a massive, terrifying appendage. Attached to Izuku’s right shoulder was the ten-foot-long, muscular arm of the Beast Titan, covered in thick, dark auburn fur. The sheer weight of it drove Izuku's right foot into the dirt, cracking the ground, but his core remained perfectly stable.

Izuku held the softball in the massive, leathery fingers of the Titan hand.

He wound up. The muscles in the giant arm bulged, corded veins pulsing with immense, hydraulic pressure.

He threw the ball.

CRACK!

A literal sonic boom shattered the air. The wind pressure generated by the massive arm swinging at supersonic speed kicked up a blinding cloud of dust, nearly blowing Mineta and Jiro off their feet.

The ball vanished into the sky, a streak of white fire piercing the clouds.

Izuku immediately severed the connection. Before the dust had even settled, the massive, furry arm detached and violently boiled away into white steam, leaving Izuku standing normally in the circle, panting slightly.

He turned to Aizawa, his hand smoking, and offered a small, confident smile. "I can control it, Sensei."

Aizawa looked down at the digital display in his hand. The screen read: 2,402.5 meters.

Aizawa’s eyes widened slightly. He looked at the boy, then at the dissolving steam. He had expected the kid to blow up the field. Instead, he had localized the kinetic energy flawlessly, achieving a result far surpassing All Might's baseline strength without a single ounce of collateral damage to the ground.

He's not a liability, Aizawa thought, a very faint smirk touching his lips. He's a goddamn weapon.

"Not bad," Aizawa muttered, showing the screen to the class.

The class lost their minds.

"Two thousand meters?!"

"That's insane! He's a monster!"

"Did you see the size of that arm?! It was covered in fur!"

Bakugo stood perfectly still. His crimson eyes were locked onto Izuku. The steam. The lightning. The sheer, overwhelming, indisputable proof of power.

He didn't use the armor from the alleyway. He didn't use the giant from the exam. He used something else. How many of these things does he have?! Bakugo's mind screamed. For a decade, he walked behind me, looking down on me, hiding this god-like power!

"Hey! Deku! You bastard!"

Bakugo snapped. He lunged forward, explosions roaring in his palms, blind rage taking the wheel. "Tell me what the hell this is right now!"

Before Bakugo could take three steps, Aizawa's capture weapon lashed out, binding him tight. Aizawa’s eyes flared red, instantly erasing Bakugo’s explosions.

"What the... this cloth is hard!" Bakugo grunted, struggling against the bindings.

"It's a carbon fiber woven with a special metal alloy," Aizawa sighed, clearly exhausted by the display. "Stop making me use my Quirk so much. I have dry eye." He released Bakugo. "We're wasting time. Whoever is next, step up."

As Izuku walked back to the group, Bakugo glared at him with a hatred so dense it felt palpable. Izuku didn't look away. He didn't cower. He held the gaze, his green eyes glowing with a quiet, undeniable strength.

The Quirk Apprehension Test concluded. Izuku placed first overall. Bakugo placed third, behind Yaoyorozu. No one was expelled, much to the relief of Uraraka and the others, as Aizawa revealed it was a "logical ruse" to draw out their best efforts.

As they walked back to the locker rooms, Izuku felt a profound sense of belonging. He was here. He was at U.A. And he was strong.

Day Two - Battle Trials

"I AM... COMING THROUGH THE DOOR LIKE A NORMAL PERSON!"

All Might threw the classroom door open, wearing his Silver Age costume—a skin-tight red, white, and blue bodysuit with a yellow cape. The class erupted in cheers.

"It's All Might!"

"Wow, he really is a teacher!"

"That's a costume from the Silver Age, isn't it? So retro!"

Izuku smiled warmly. Seeing his mentor in his element, radiating absolute confidence, was deeply reassuring.

"Hero Basic Training!" All Might bellowed, marching to the podium. "The class that will put you through all sorts of special training to mold you into heroes! And today, we are doing... BATTLE TRIALS!"

He pressed a button on a remote, and panels on the wall slid open, revealing twenty numbered metal briefcases. "And to go with that, here are the hero costumes you requested based on your Quirk registrations! Go get changed and meet me at Ground Beta!"

Ten minutes later, Class 1-A emerged from the tunnel into the mock cityscape of Ground Beta. They looked spectacular, a colorful array of capes, armor, and specialized gear.

Izuku stepped out into the light. His costume was a heavily modified version of the sketch he had drawn years ago. It was a dark, forest-green tactical suit with black accents. Recognizing that his clothes would rip if he fully transformed, the suit was made of an incredibly expensive, hyper-elastic smart fabric designed by U.A.'s support company. It could stretch to immense proportions and snap back without tearing.

His forearms and shins were exposed, wrapped only in a light, heat-resistant mesh, giving his Armored and Jaw manifestations unimpeded space to grow. Around his neck was a thick, metallic collar designed to vent superheated steam away from his face. Most notably, his gloves were fingerless, leaving his hands bare for quick, easy biting.

"Whoa, Midoriya! You look like a commando!" Uraraka jogged up to him. She was wearing a skin-tight pink and black spacesuit. "Mine ended up a little tighter than I expected..."

"I-It looks great on you, Uraraka!" Izuku stuttered, his cheeks flushing red, a brief reminder that despite the ancient god sleeping in his blood, he was still a very nervous teenage boy.

"Now that you are all here, let us begin!" All Might announced. He explained the rules: a two-on-two indoor battle. Two "villains" guard a nuclear weapon inside a building, while two "heroes" must infiltrate and capture it within a time limit.

All Might drew the lots from two boxes.

"Team A will be the Heroes: Midoriya Izuku and Uraraka Ochaco!"

Izuku smiled, high-fiving Uraraka.

"And Team D will be the Villains: Bakugo Katsuki and Iida Tenya!"

Izuku’s smile vanished. He looked across the crowd. Bakugo was staring at him, his costume consisting of a black tank top and massive, grenade-shaped gauntlets on his forearms. A dark, terrifying grin stretched across Bakugo’s face.

Kacchan, Izuku thought, his heart rate picking up. He's been waiting for this. A sanctioned fight.

"Team D, head inside and set up your defenses! Team A, you will infiltrate in five minutes!" All Might declared.

Inside the darkened, concrete halls of the building, Bakugo paced like a caged tiger. Iida was busy clearing debris from the room housing the fake papier-mâché nuclear weapon.

"Bakugo, we should formulate a plan," Iida said strictly. "Midoriya's Quirk is incredibly versatile. If he manifests that giant arm or those armored legs, we will be at a severe disadvantage in close quarters."

Bakugo didn't even look at him. "Shut up, Four Eyes."

"Excuse me?!"

"I'm going down," Bakugo growled, cracking his knuckles. "I'm going to rip the truth out of that nerd's mouth. You guard the weapon."

Before Iida could protest, Bakugo stalked out of the room, descending the stairs into the shadows of the building. His mind was a maelstrom of furious thoughts.

Deku. A Quirkless nobody. A pebble in my path. Suddenly he's shooting lightning and turning into monsters? No. It's a trick. I'm going to break his bones until he admits it's a trick.

Outside, a buzzer blared. The infiltration had begun.

Izuku and Uraraka slipped through a first-floor window, stepping lightly into the dimly lit corridors.

"We need to be careful," Izuku whispered, his eyes scanning the shadows. "Kacchan is aggressive. He won't wait for us in the weapon room. He's going to come hunting for me."

"You think he'd abandon his partner?" Uraraka asked, surprised.

"Absolutely," Izuku nodded. "His pride won't allow him to do anything else. When he attacks, you use your Quirk to float up to the ceiling and slip past him. Find Iida. I'll handle Kacchan."

"Are you sure? He looked really mad..."

"I'm sure," Izuku said, his voice hard.

They turned a corner.

From the ceiling above, a shadow dropped.

BOOM!

A massive explosion erupted directly in their path, blowing a hole in the wall and filling the corridor with thick, choking smoke. Izuku grabbed Uraraka, pulling her back just in time to avoid the blast radius.

"Deku!"

Through the smoke, Bakugo lunged, his right hand crackling with orange fire, aimed squarely at Izuku's face.

Izuku didn't transform. He didn't need to. Ten months of hauling refrigerators across the beach had given him incredible baseline reflexes. He dropped to a crouch, pivoting on his heel. He grabbed Bakugo’s extended right arm and used the boy's own momentum against him, violently flipping Bakugo over his shoulder and slamming him back-first onto the concrete floor.

The breath rushed out of Bakugo’s lungs in a violent huff.

Izuku stood over him, his expression deadly serious. "Go, Uraraka!"

Uraraka hesitated for a split second, then tapped her own boots, floating up the stairwell and out of sight.

Bakugo scrambled to his feet, coughing, his eyes wide with shock. Deku had just read his opening move perfectly. Deku had just put him on his back without even using his Quirk.

"You read my right hook..." Bakugo snarled, sparks flying from his palms.

"You always lead with a right hook, Kacchan," Izuku said softly, raising his fists in a defensive boxing stance. "I know everything about you. I spent my whole life watching you."

"Shut up!" Bakugo screamed, launching himself forward again. He unleashed a flurry of explosions, aiming kicks and fiery punches at Izuku's head and torso.

Izuku dodged, weaved, and parried. He took a grazing hit to the shoulder, his suit singeing, but he held his ground. He didn't want to hurt Bakugo. He just wanted to stall him.

"Why won't you use it?!" Bakugo roared, missing a sweeping kick. "Use your damn Quirk! Look down on me! Show me the monster!"

"I'm not looking down on you!" Izuku yelled back, catching Bakugo’s wrist and shoving him back. "I never have! You were amazing! You were everything I wanted to be! That's why I want to beat you!"

The words hit Bakugo like a physical blow. The absolute sincerity in Izuku’s voice twisted something deep inside Bakugo’s chest, mutating into an even deeper, more volatile rage.

"You're a liar!" Bakugo screamed. He jumped backward, putting ten feet of distance between them. He raised his right arm, grabbing the pin on his massive, grenade-shaped gauntlet.

In the monitor room, All Might grabbed the microphone. Young Bakugo! Stop! Are you trying to kill him?!

"If I don't hit him, he won't die!" Bakugo screamed, his eyes manic.

He pulled the pin.

The gauntlet, which had been storing Bakugo’s explosive sweat for the entire match, detonated.

It wasn't a normal explosion. It was a localized thermobaric blast. A roaring, blinding pillar of fire and concussive force tore down the hallway, melting the paint off the walls, shattering the windows, and consuming everything in its path.

Izuku saw the fire coming. He had a fraction of a second to react.

Flesh will burn. Armor might crack under the heat. I need absolute defense.

He bit down violently on his thumb, drawing blood.

Warhammer.

Golden lightning flashed inside the corridor, momentarily outshining the flames.

Izuku didn't manifest a Titan. Instead, from the floor beneath his feet, a geyser of pristine, translucent white crystal erupted upward. The crystal rapidly spun and folded over itself, forming a massive, incredibly dense, half-sphere dome around Izuku.

The blast wave of the explosion slammed into the crystal dome. The fire washed over it like water breaking against a boulder. The heat was immense, but the interior of the dome remained perfectly cool.

The explosion faded, leaving the hallway completely charred black and filled with thick gray smoke.

Bakugo stood at the end of the hall, his right arm trembling violently from the recoil. He panted heavily, waiting for the smoke to clear, waiting to see Deku's broken, burnt body.

The smoke parted.

Sitting in the middle of the devastated hallway was a perfect, unblemished dome of white crystal.

Crack.

The dome shattered into a million shimmering pieces, dissolving into steam before the shards even hit the floor.

Standing in the center, completely unharmed, not a single hair singed, was Izuku Midoriya.

Bakugo's jaw dropped. His pupils shrank to pinpricks. "No... way..."

"That was dangerous, Kacchan," Izuku said, his voice echoing in the dead silence of the ruined hallway. The gentle, nostalgic boy was gone. In his place stood the vessel of the Nine. "If I hadn't reacted in time, you could have killed me."

"Shut up!" Bakugo screamed, his voice cracking with hysteria. "Shut up, shut up, shut up! I'm number one! I'm the best! I won't lose to a Quirkless nobody who suddenly sprouted wings!"

Bakugo charged again, ignoring the screaming pain in his right arm, using his left hand to propel himself forward at blinding speed.

Izuku watched him come. He realized, with a heavy heart, that words would never reach Katsuki Bakugo. Bakugo’s entire worldview was predicated on his own absolute superiority. As long as Bakugo thought he could win through sheer willpower, he would never stop fighting.

To save Bakugo from himself, Izuku had to crush him. Completely.

Izuku raised his hand to his mouth. He didn't just bite his thumb. He clamped his teeth down on his palm, tearing the skin deeply. Blood flowed freely.

Objective: Subjugation. Absolute dominance. No casualties.

He locked eyes with the charging Bakugo.

Armored.

The golden lightning that struck this time didn't just flash; it violently tore through the ceiling of the building, a cosmic bolt of energy connecting the boy to the Paths.

KA-BOOM!

The transformation inside the confined space of the hallway was catastrophic. The sheer biological mass expanding outward blew out the walls on either side, shattering the concrete supports.

Bakugo was thrown backward by the shockwave of blistering, three-hundred-degree steam. He tumbled across the floor, coughing, his eyes watering from the intense heat.

"What... what is..." Bakugo choked out, looking up into the dense, swirling fog.

Two glowing, golden eyes pierced the steam.

A heavy, metallic thud shook the entire building. Then another.

The steam cleared, and Bakugo’s breath abandoned him entirely.

Filling the entire width and height of the devastated hallway was a monster.

It was a fifteen-meter Titan, but only from the waist up. Izuku had partially manifested just the torso, head, and arms, anchoring the massive construct's spine into the floor of the building.

The Titan was heavily muscled, but entirely covered in thick, segmented plates of bone-white, organic armor. Its face was a terrifying mask of hardened plates, lacking lips, exposing a jagged maw of teeth. It breathed, and a plume of superheated steam shot from its nose, cooking the air.

It was the Armored Titan. And it was staring directly at Katsuki Bakugo.

In the monitor room, the class was screaming in sheer panic.

"He brought it out inside the building?!"

"Is he trying to kill Bakugo?!"

"Sensei, stop the match!" Kirishima yelled.

All Might stood frozen, his hand hovering over the buzzer. Midoriya, you promised you had control. Show me.

Inside the hallway, Bakugo was paralyzed. The sheer, overwhelming scale of the creature defied human comprehension. It was a Kaiju. A god of war stuffed into a high school corridor.

"D-Die!" Bakugo screamed, his voice trembling. He fired a massive, two-handed explosion directly at the Titan's face.

The fireball engulfed the monster's head.

The Titan didn't even blink. The smoke cleared, revealing the bone-white armor completely unblemished. It hadn't even left a scorch mark.

The Armored Titan slowly reached out with a massive, terrifyingly heavy hand.

Bakugo tried to run, but his legs wouldn't move. Fear, pure and primal, rooted him to the spot.

The giant hand descended.

But it didn't crush him. It didn't strike him.

The Titan extended a single, massive, armored index finger. It pressed the tip of the finger against Bakugo's chest. With a slow, deliberate, and utterly unstoppable force, the finger pushed Bakugo down onto his back against the concrete floor.

The Titan held him there. The pressure was firm, but perfectly calibrated. It didn't break a single rib. It just pinned him to the floor, an immovable, mountain-like weight.

Bakugo lay there, staring up at the glowing golden eyes of the armored giant looming over him. He couldn't move. He couldn't breathe. He was completely, utterly powerless.

I lost, Bakugo realized, a tear of sheer frustration escaping his eye. I didn't even make him bleed. He's... he's in a completely different world.

Through the earpiece, Uraraka's voice rang out. Deku! I secured the weapon! Iida is captured!

"THE HERO TEAM... WINS!" All Might’s voice bellowed through the intercom, sounding intensely relieved.

The match was over.

The Armored Titan let out a long, heavy exhale of steam. Then, the massive muscles and thick armor plates began to rapidly bubble and hiss. The giant dissolved, melting away into a dense cloud of white vapor.

Bakugo lay on the floor, hyperventilating, staring at the ceiling as the heavy weight lifted off his chest. He felt cold. He felt small.

From the dissipating steam, footsteps approached.

Izuku Midoriya stepped into view. His green tactical suit was perfectly intact. He was sweating slightly, but otherwise unharmed.

Izuku looked down at Bakugo. He didn't gloat. He didn't smirk.

He reached his hand out, offering it to Bakugo.

"You're amazing, Kacchan," Izuku said, his voice soft, gentle, and profoundly kind. "Your reflexes, your combat sense, your drive... I still have a long way to go to catch up to your instincts."

Bakugo stared at the hand. The scarred, calloused hand of the boy who housed a god in his blood.

"But I'm not going to stay behind you anymore," Izuku continued, a fierce, unwavering light burning in his green eyes. "I'm going to become a hero. And I'm going to surpass you. Because you're my rival, Kacchan."

Bakugo’s lip trembled. He slapped Izuku’s hand away with a vicious smack.

He scrambled to his feet, keeping his head down, his blonde bangs hiding his eyes. He didn't say a word. He didn't yell. He just turned and walked away, his shoulders shaking slightly in the darkened corridor.

Izuku watched him go, a small, sad smile on his face.

He had won the battle. He had proven to the class, to Aizawa, and to All Might that he was in absolute control of his monstrous power. But looking at Bakugo's retreating back, Izuku knew the war for his rival's soul had just begun.

He touched his thumb, feeling the heat humming beneath the skin.

I won't let the power change who I am, Izuku vowed silently. I am Izuku Midoriya. And I am a hero.

The bus ride to the Unforeseen Simulation Joint, colloquially known as the U.S.J., was a rare moment of peace for Class 1-A. The morning sun filtered through the tinted windows, casting a warm glow over the students as they chatted excitedly about the upcoming rescue training.

Sitting near the back, Izuku Midoriya stared out the window, his chin resting in his palm. He felt a profound sense of tranquility. The Battle Trials had proven he could regulate his power under pressure without losing his humanity, and the terrified respect from Katsuki Bakugo, though strained, had established a new equilibrium between them.

"Hey, Midoriya," a blunt, croaking voice called out.

Izuku turned. Tsuyu Asui, a girl with a frog-like Quirk and large, unblinking eyes, was staring directly at him. "I generally say what's on my mind. Your Quirk is really something else."

"Oh, um, thank you, Asui," Izuku replied, slightly flustered by the sudden attention.

"Call me Tsu," she corrected smoothly. "It's just... I've never seen anything like it. You make giant animal arms, armor, weird crystals... and during the exam, you turned into a giant that vaporized a city block. It's like you have a bunch of Quirks stuffed into one body. Is it some kind of extreme mutation?"

The entire bus went quiet, leaning in to hear the answer. Even Bakugo, sitting two rows ahead, went completely still, his ears practically twitching.

"I-It's a biological manifestation Quirk," Izuku explained carefully, echoing the cover story he and All Might had developed. "My body holds the genetic blueprints for a massive, ancient biological entity. I can access different 'parts' of its anatomy by drawing blood and focusing my intent. The steam is just the byproduct of the rapidly decaying cellular mass when I detach the constructs."

"So, you're like a fleshy 3D printer," Eijiro Kirishima chimed in, grinning, his shark-like teeth gleaming. "That's so manly! It's super flashy, unlike my Hardening. I'm jealous."

"Your Quirk is amazing, Kirishima-kun!" Izuku argued, his fanboy nature taking over. "Hardening is a top-tier defensive and offensive capability! It's perfect for professional hero work because it minimizes collateral damage while guaranteeing survivability!"

Kirishima beamed, rubbing the back of his neck. "Well, when you put it like that..."

"Still," Denki Kaminari leaned over the aisle, "with a Quirk like yours, Midoriya, you're definitely going to be a top pro. You're practically a one-man army. I bet villains would just surrender the second they see that giant armored monster."

"Let's hope it never comes to that," Izuku smiled softly, looking back out the window. "I just want to be a hero who makes people feel safe."

"We're here," Aizawa’s tired voice cut through the chatter from the front of the bus. "Stop messing around."

The U.S.J. was a marvel of modern hero engineering. It was a colossal, domed structure housing several distinct, massive biomes—a ruined city, a rocky mountain range, a raging fire zone, and a massive artificial lake. Waiting for them at the entrance was Thirteen, the Space Hero, wearing their iconic, puffy astronaut suit.

"Welcome, students, to the Unforeseen Simulation Joint!" Thirteen greeted warmly. "Today, we will focus on rescue training. Quirks can be dangerous. They can easily be used to kill. Today, you will learn how to use your powers to save lives, not take them."

Izuku nodded seriously. Saving lives. That's why I'm here.

Thirteen continued their speech, but Aizawa suddenly went rigid. The Erasure Hero stepped past Thirteen, his eyes locked on the central plaza far below them.

The lights surrounding the massive facility suddenly flickered and died. The mechanical hum of the U.S.J. ground to a halt. Down in the central plaza, directly in front of the massive central fountain, the air itself seemed to tear open.

A swirling, violet-black vortex of mist expanded rapidly.

"Gather together and don't move!" Aizawa barked, his capture weapon unfurling like a nest of angry snakes. "Thirteen, protect the students!"

"What's that?" Kirishima asked, squinting down at the plaza. "Is this like the entrance exam? Does the training start right away?"

"No," Izuku said, his voice dropping an octave. His emerald eyes narrowed, tracking the movement. Every instinct in his body, honed by the ancient, predatory genetics resting in his blood, screamed at him. Threat.

From the purple mist, hands emerged. Then arms. Then bodies.

Dozens of rough, armed men and women poured out of the vortex. But the ones who caught Izuku's eye were the leaders. A lanky man covered in disembodied, pale hands, scratching at his own neck. A massive, bird-like monster with an exposed, throbbing brain, its muscular body covered in dark blue skin. And the mist itself, which seemed to coalesce into a man in a bartender's suit.

"Those are real villains," Aizawa stated coldly, slipping his yellow goggles over his eyes.

The air in the dome grew instantly heavy. The reality of the situation crashed over the teenagers like a wave of ice water. This wasn't a test. This was a siege.

"Eraserhead and Thirteen..." The man covered in hands, Tomura Shigaraki, muttered, his voice echoing eerily in the quiet dome. "According to the teacher's schedule we retrieved, All Might was supposed to be here. Where is he? I brought this whole crowd... and the Symbol of Peace isn't here? Maybe if we kill some kids, he'll show up."

Aizawa didn't hesitate. He instructed Thirteen to evacuate the class and leaped down the massive staircase, plunging headfirst into the mob of villains. He moved with brutal efficiency, erasing Quirks and breaking bones in a deadly, fluid dance.

"We need to go!" Iida shouted, waving his arms toward the heavy steel doors.

But the violet mist expanded violently, appearing directly in front of the exit, blocking their path.

"I cannot allow that," Kurogiri, the mist villain, said smoothly. "Greetings. We are the League of Villains. It may be presumptuous of us, but we have invited ourselves in to U.A. High School in order to have All Might take his final breath."

Izuku grit his teeth. He brought his left hand up, preparing to bite his thumb. I can use the Warhammer to crystallize the mist's core...

Before Izuku could move, Bakugo and Kirishima leaped forward with a roar, unleashing a massive explosion and a hardened punch directly into the mist.

"Did you consider that you'd get beaten by us before you had the chance?!" Bakugo yelled.

But as the smoke cleared, the mist villain was unharmed. "That was close. You students are excellent golden eggs. But my job is to scatter you, and torture you to death."

The violet mist exploded outward, engulfing the students. Izuku felt a terrifying sensation of weightlessness, the world spinning in a blur of purple and black.

Splash.

Izuku hit cold water hard. He sank for a brief moment, the shock of the temperature stinging his skin. He opened his eyes, bubbles rising to the surface. Above him, he saw the dark hull of a ship.

He kicked his legs, surfacing with a gasp. He was in the Shipwreck Zone—the massive artificial lake.

"Midoriya!" a voice squeaked.

Izuku looked up. Mineta, the shortest boy in the class, was flailing wildly in the water, splashing water into his own mouth. Suddenly, a long, green tongue wrapped around Mineta's waist. Tsuyu Asui hoisted the boy out of the water, leaping with incredible agility onto the deck of the sinking ship in the center of the lake.

"Tsu!" Izuku called out.

The tongue lashed out again, wrapping around Izuku's waist and pulling him effortlessly onto the deck beside them.

"Thanks," Izuku panted, shaking the water from his green hair.

"Don't thank me yet," Tsuyu said stoically, pointing over the railing.

Izuku looked down. The water surrounding the ship was boiling with activity. Dozens of aquatic-type villains—men with shark fins, scaled skin, and webbed hands—were circling the boat like predators smelling blood.

"They're waiting for us in the water," Tsuyu observed calmly.

"We're gonna die!" Mineta shrieked, pulling at his purple, ball-shaped hair. "We're completely surrounded! They're aquatic villains, and we're on a sinking ship! It's game over! Game over!"

"Mineta, quiet," Izuku ordered. His voice wasn't loud, but it possessed a commanding, absolute authority that made Mineta snap his mouth shut instantly.

Izuku walked to the edge of the railing, looking down at the villains.

"Look at the little heroes!" one of the villains sneered, a man with a massive barracuda jaw. "Don't worry, kids! We'll make it quick!"

Izuku didn't flinch. His mind was running a mile a minute, calculating variables. The ship is sinking. That means time is limited. They have the territorial advantage in the water. Tsu is agile in the water, but she can't fight dozens of them alone. Mineta's sticky balls are useful for crowd control, but he's panicking.

I need a localized, non-lethal, high-impact restraint method. If I use a Titan arm to smash the water, the concussive wave could kill them or sink the ship instantly. If I use electricity, I'll electrocute myself and my classmates.

"What are you doing?" Tsuyu asked as Izuku calmly took off his waterlogged green jacket, leaving him in a black, sleeveless compression shirt.

"I'm formulating a plan," Izuku said smoothly. He looked at Mineta. "Mineta-kun, your Quirk produces incredibly sticky spheres, correct? Do they stick to each other?"

"Y-Yeah! They stick to anything but me!" Mineta cried.

"Tsu, you can jump far and carry two people?" Izuku asked.

"Ribbit. Yes, easily."

"Good," Izuku said, his emerald eyes glowing with a terrifying, calculated light. "Tsu, grab Mineta. When I say jump, jump as high and as far as you can toward the shore. Mineta, when we're in the air, throw as many of your spheres into the water as possible."

"What about you?!" Mineta yelled. "And what about the villains?! They'll just swim after us!"

Izuku raised his right arm, holding it out over the railing. "They won't be able to move."

He brought his left hand down and bit violently into his right forearm. Blood sprayed.

Down in the water, the barracuda villain laughed. "What's the matter, kid? Stress eating your own arm?"

Objective: Precision suppression. Ranged artillery.

Golden lightning erupted from the sky, striking the deck of the ship with a deafening crack.

The villains in the water shrieked, covering their eyes as a blinding flash illuminated the lake. Tsuyu and Mineta shielded their faces, feeling a sudden, intense wave of heat wash over them.

"JUMP!" Izuku roared over the hiss of escaping steam.

Tsuyu didn't hesitate. She wrapped her tongue around Izuku's waist, grabbed Mineta under her arm, and unleashed the full power of her frog-like leg muscles. The three of them shot into the air, soaring high above the lake in a massive arc.

"Now, Mineta!" Izuku commanded.

Screaming in terror, Mineta rapidly plucked the purple spheres from his head, hurling them down into the water like a machine gun. The sticky balls floated on the surface, bobbing among the bewildered villains.

"What the hell is this crap?!" a villain yelled, trying to swat a purple ball away, only to find his hand permanently glued to it.

High in the air, Izuku anchored himself against the tension of Tsuyu's tongue. The steam cleared from his right arm.

Mineta and Tsuyu gasped.

Izuku's entire right arm from the elbow down had been encased in a massive, hyper-dense, bone-white crystal. But it wasn't just armor. The flesh and crystal had mechanically intertwined to form a massive, fully functional heavy crossbow mounted directly onto his forearm. The bowstrings were made of hardened, glowing red muscle fibers, drawn back tight. Resting in the groove of the weapon was a six-foot-long, jagged crystal bolt.

It was the ultimate manifestation of the Warhammer Titan's structural creation.

"Stay right there," Izuku whispered to the villains below.

Izuku aimed his arm. He clenched his fist. The muscle fibers snapped forward.

THWACK.

The sound was like a cannon firing. The six-foot crystal bolt shot out at blinding speed, plunging into the water right in the center of the villain group.

But Izuku didn't aim to kill. He aimed for the water itself.

The moment the crystal bolt hit the lake, Izuku triggered its secondary function. The single bolt violently expanded, exploding outward into a massive, jagged starburst of crystal spikes under the water. The spikes shot horizontally, catching the clothing, fins, and limbs of the villains, pinning them firmly to each other and to Mineta’s sticky spheres.

In less than a second, all thirty aquatic villains were bound together in a massive, floating web of unbreakable white crystal and purple adhesive. They thrashed and screamed, but they were completely immobilized.

Izuku, Tsuyu, and Mineta landed gracefully on the shore near the edge of the lake.

Izuku exhaled a long breath. The massive crossbow on his arm rapidly heated up, boiling away into steam and leaving his arm completely unharmed.

Tsuyu stared at the floating, trapped villains, then at Izuku. "Midoriya... that was incredible. You didn't even hurt them. You just pinned them perfectly."

"I told you," Izuku smiled faintly, shaking his head. "I'm not a monster."

"You're a god!" Mineta wept, falling to his knees and bowing to Izuku. "Please let me worship you!"

"L-Let's just focus on getting back to the others," Izuku stammered, his cheeks flushing pink. He turned his attention toward the central plaza. His smile vanished.

From their vantage point, they had a clear view of the fountain.

The mob of low-level villains had been decimated by Aizawa. But the Erasure Hero wasn't standing.

He was pinned to the ground beneath the massive, bird-like monster with the exposed brain. The creature, the Nomu, had Aizawa's arm twisted at a horrific, unnatural angle.

CRACK.

The sound of Aizawa's bone snapping echoed across the silent plaza, followed by a wet, guttural scream from the usually stoic teacher.

Izuku's blood ran cold. The immense, suffocating pressure of absolute danger washed over him.

"Sensei..." Tsuyu whispered, her frog-like eyes shrinking in terror.

"You can erase Quirks," Shigaraki mocked, stepping close to the pinned hero. "That's wonderful. But it's nothing impressive in the face of overwhelming, raw power. Nomu, break his other arm."

The beast let out a screech that sounded like grinding metal, raising its massive, muscular fist.

"No!" Izuku shouted, sprinting forward.

He moved faster than humanly possible, drawing on the baseline strength he had cultivated. But the distance was too great.

Shigaraki turned his head, spotting the three students approaching from the lake. The villain's eyes crinkled in a sadistic smile behind the disembodied hand covering his face.

"Ah. More kids."

In a burst of speed that defied logic, Shigaraki vanished from his spot and reappeared directly in front of Tsuyu. He reached his hand out, his five fingers splayed, aiming right for her face.

"Decay," Shigaraki whispered.

Izuku’s heart stopped. He knew, instinctively, that if those five fingers touched her, she would die.

Objective: Speed. Intercept.

Izuku didn't bite himself. He didn't have time. He brought his teeth down on his own tongue, hard enough to taste copper.

A localized spark of lightning cracked. Izuku didn't manifest a giant. He manifested the lithe, explosive muscle fibers of the Female Titan solely in his left leg. The muscle tore through his pants, pulsing with red-hot energy.

Izuku kicked off the ground. The earth shattered beneath him. He crossed twenty meters in a microsecond, appearing directly between Shigaraki and Tsuyu.

Izuku swung his left arm, swatting Shigaraki's reaching hand away just millimeters before it touched the girl.

"Gah!" Shigaraki grunted, stumbling back, clutching his wrist. "You're fast, kid."

Izuku stood in front of his classmates, steam rising from his leg as the extra muscle dissolved. He locked eyes with the villain leader.

"Don't touch my friends," Izuku growled, a low, feral rumble vibrating in his chest.

"You've got a cool Quirk, kid," Shigaraki sneered, scratching his neck furiously. "But you're just a mini-boss. Nomu. Kill him."

The bird-monster dropped the unconscious, broken Aizawa. It turned its massive, beaked head toward Izuku. The exposed brain throbbed rhythmically.

"Run," Izuku ordered, not looking back at Tsuyu and Mineta. "Take Aizawa-sensei and get back to the entrance. Now."

"But Midoriya—" Tsuyu started.

"DO IT!" Izuku roared, his voice cracking with unnatural acoustic pressure.

Tsuyu flinched, grabbed Mineta, wrapped her tongue around Aizawa’s waist, and began dragging them up the stairs as fast as she could.

Izuku stood alone in the central plaza, facing the monster.

"Nomu is the anti-Symbol of Peace," Shigaraki boasted, throwing his arms out. "He is bio-engineered to kill All Might. He possesses Shock Absorption, meaning physical attacks are completely useless against him. And he has Super Regeneration. No matter what you do, he will heal, and he will crush you."

Izuku stared at the beast. Shock Absorption. Super Regeneration. Strength on par with All Might.

A normal hero would run. A normal hero would stall for time.

But Izuku Midoriya was not a normal hero. He felt the phantom pulse of nine ancient gods roaring in his blood, demanding to be let off their leashes. The Nomu was an abomination of science. Izuku was an abomination of nature.

I can't hold back. If this thing is as strong as All Might, a partial manifestation will get me killed. I have to go all out. I have to destroy it on a cellular level.

"Kill him," Shigaraki commanded.

The Nomu screeched and launched itself forward, the concrete exploding beneath its feet. It moved with blinding, terrifying speed, closing the distance in a heartbeat, its massive fist pulled back to take Izuku's head off.

Izuku reached into his pocket and pulled out a small, folding tactical knife he had acquired for exactly this scenario.

He didn't bite his thumb. He flipped the knife open, placed the sharp edge against the center of his left palm, and violently sliced it open.

A deep, jagged gash opened up. Blood poured freely, hitting the ground.

Izuku looked up at the charging monster.

Objective: Absolute destruction. Overwhelm the enemy. Break the unbreakable.

Form: The Hybrid.

The Nomu’s fist connected with empty air as a blinding, apocalyptic pillar of golden light descended from the roof of the U.S.J., blowing a hole through the dome and striking Izuku Midoriya directly.

KA-BOOOOOOOOOOOOM!

The lightning strike was so violent it created a localized EMP, shattering the remaining lights in the facility and blowing out the glass windows of the ruined city zone.

Shigaraki was thrown backward by the sheer concussive force of the blast. The Nomu dug its feet into the ground, screeching as a wave of blistering, three-hundred-degree steam washed over it.

Up on the stairs, the rest of Class 1-A, who had been fighting their own battles, stopped and looked down in absolute awe.

"What... what is that heat?!" Bakugo yelled, shielding his eyes from the blinding light.

From the center of the crater, a roar tore through the air. It wasn't human. It wasn't the screech of the Nomu. It was a guttural, earth-shaking bellow that vibrated in the chests of everyone in the U.S.J.

The steam exploded outward, pushed away by a massive, sweeping arm.

Standing in the center of the plaza was a fifteen-meter-tall nightmare.

It was a chimera of Izuku’s most lethal manifestations. The body was built like the Attack Titan—lean, incredibly dense, and corded with explosive muscle, boasting wild, untamed green hair. However, it was heavily modified. Thick, bone-white plates of the Armored Titan covered its knuckles, elbows, shins, and chest. Its face was a terrifying fusion—the hardened, lipless mask of the Armored Titan, but with the jagged, interlocking, hyper-lethal teeth of the Jaw Titan protruding from a massive underbite.

The Hybrid Titan. Built for absolute, uncompromising war.

The glowing green eyes of the Titan locked onto the Nomu. The Nomu, entirely brainless and devoid of fear, screeched and leaped into the air, bringing both fists down toward the Titan's head in a double hammer blow.

The Titan didn't dodge. It looked up, raised its massively armored right arm, and caught the Nomu's fists in its palm.

BOOM.

The shockwave of the impact flattened the water in the nearby lake and cracked the concrete plaza into a spiderweb of devastation. The Titan's feet sank two feet into the ground, but its arm didn't buckle. It held the monster, perfectly matching All Might's level of strength.

Inside the nape of the Titan, Izuku was embedded in the flesh, his nervous system completely synced with the beast. His eyes burned with intense focus.

He absorbed the shock, Izuku noted. But he doesn't absorb momentum.

The Titan roared, clenching its armored fingers around the Nomu's fists. With a brutal twist of its hips, the Titan swung the Nomu like a ragdoll, smashing the bio-engineered monster face-first into the concrete floor.

The ground exploded. Shigaraki scrambled away, his eyes wide behind his hand mask. "What... what the hell is this?! This wasn't in the intel! Kurogiri! What is that thing?!"

"I do not know, Tomura Shigaraki," Kurogiri said, his mist wavering in the intense heat radiating from the Titan. "It appears to be the student who jumped in front of you."

The Nomu, completely unfazed by having its face crushed into the floor, used its legs to kick the Titan in the chest. The blow struck the Armored plating, cracking the bone-white material but failing to pierce the muscle beneath.

The Titan stumbled back. The Nomu flipped back onto its feet, its crushed face already bubbling and regenerating back into perfect shape.

Super Regeneration is active, Izuku analyzed. Shock Absorption negates blunt force trauma. Beating him to death will take too long. I need to bypass the shock absorption and overwhelm the regeneration.

The Nomu charged again, unleashing a flurry of devastating punches. The Titan met the charge head-on.

The plaza turned into a warzone. The two Kaiju-level entities clashed, trading blows that created sonic booms. The Titan used its superior agility, slipping past the Nomu's wild swings and delivering devastating, armored counter-hooks to the creature's ribs. But every time the Titan struck, the Nomu's rubbery skin rippled, absorbing the kinetic energy.

BAM! BAM! BAM!

The Titan caught a right hook to the jaw, the force snapping its head to the side and shattering a piece of its facial armor. The Titan retaliated, using the Jaw Titan's teeth to bite down violently on the Nomu's shoulder, tearing a massive chunk of flesh away.

Black blood sprayed across the plaza. The Nomu screeched, but within seconds, the flesh bubbled and regrew.

"It's no use!" Shigaraki laughed hysterically, scratching his neck. "You're strong, kid, but you're just doing physical damage! Nomu is built to take it! He'll outlast you! Your stamina gauge will empty before his!"

Inside the nape, Izuku grit his teeth. He could feel the immense caloric drain of maintaining the Hybrid form. He was burning up.

He's right. I can't outpunch him. But I don't have to.

Izuku formulated the execution protocol.

The Titan disengaged, leaping backward, creating fifty feet of distance. It crouched low to the ground.

The Nomu roared, charging forward like a freight train, blindly intent on closing the gap.

The Titan slammed both of its massive, armored palms flat onto the concrete floor.

Warhammer.

From the ground directly in the Nomu's path, a massive, jagged forest of pristine white crystal erupted. The Nomu, unable to stop its momentum, charged right into it.

The crystal spikes didn't punch; they pierced. Shock absorption only worked on blunt force. The razor-sharp spikes drove directly through the Nomu's feet, calves, and thighs, impaling the monster and locking it firmly in place.

The Nomu shrieked in agony, thrashing wildly, trying to tear its own legs off to escape.

But the Titan was already moving.

It closed the distance in a single, explosive leap. The Titan tackled the pinned Nomu, driving its massive armored knees into the creature's chest, pinning its arms to its sides.

The Titan loomed over the thrashing monster. It reached down with both hands, grabbing the sides of the Nomu's head.

"Nomu! Get him off!" Shigaraki screamed, realizing for the first time that his ultimate weapon was completely trapped.

The Titan didn't punch. It didn't bite.

It opened its terrifying, jagged maw directly over the Nomu's exposed, throbbing brain.

Inside the Titan, Izuku took a massive breath, pulling all of the ambient thermal energy stored in the massive fleshy construct directly into the Titan's lungs.

Overload the cells. Burn it faster than it can heal.

Colossal output.

The Titan let out a roar, but no sound came out. Instead, a concentrated, hyper-pressurized beam of blindingly white, superheated steam erupted from the Titan's mouth, blasting directly onto the Nomu's exposed brain at point-blank range.

It was like a blowtorch hitting a marshmallow.

The steam was over a thousand degrees. The Nomu's shock absorption was useless against thermal energy. Its super regeneration kicked into overdrive, desperately trying to heal the brain cells as they melted, but the heat was too intense, too constant.

The monster shrieked, a horrific, gurgling sound that was drowned out by the deafening hiss of the steam. The air in the plaza distorted from the heat. The concrete beneath the Nomu began to crack and glow red.

For ten agonizing seconds, the Titan held the beast down, unleashing the concentrated breath of the Colossus.

Finally, Izuku shut the valve.

The Titan clamped its jaw shut. The steam cleared.

The Nomu lay perfectly still. Its exposed brain was completely charred black, the regenerative cells permanently destroyed by the overwhelming thermal overload. The beast was dead, or at the very least, permanently comatose.

The Titan slowly stood up. It looked down at the smoking, lifeless husk of the anti-Symbol of Peace.

Then, it turned its glowing green eyes toward Shigaraki.

Shigaraki took a step back, trembling violently. He scratched his neck so hard he drew blood. "Cheat... he used a cheat code... that's impossible. He melted it..."

"Tomura Shigaraki, we must retreat!" Kurogiri urged, his mist expanding around the villain. "If that thing turns its attention to us, we will perish!"

The Titan took a single, heavy step forward. It raised its hand, preparing to manifest a crystal spike to pin them.

CRASH.

The heavy steel doors at the entrance of the U.S.J. were violently blown off their hinges.

"IT IS FINE NOW!" a booming, furious voice roared across the dome.

Everyone froze.

Standing in the doorway, not smiling, radiating an aura of absolute, uncompromising fury, was All Might.

Shigaraki clicked his tongue. "Ah. The final boss is here. But our party is wiped out. Game over."

Kurogiri's mist enveloped Shigaraki completely. "We will be back, All Might. And we will bring a better game." The vortex imploded, vanishing without a trace.

The U.S.J. fell silent, save for the crackling of localized fires and the hiss of steam.

All Might looked down at the central plaza. He saw the shattered concrete. He saw the charred, defeated Nomu pinned by giant white crystals. And he saw the fifteen-meter, armored, steaming monster standing victorious in the center of the destruction.

The Titan looked up at All Might. Slowly, the glowing green light faded from its eyes.

The massive construct slumped forward, falling to its knees. The flesh and armor began to violently bubble and evaporate, a massive cloud of white steam ascending to the shattered dome ceiling.

All Might leaped down, landing gently in the plaza as the steam cleared.

Lying in the center of the crater, completely exhausted, his green suit singed but intact, was Izuku Midoriya. He was unconscious, his breathing shallow but steady.

All Might knelt down, gently scooping the boy into his massive arms. He looked at the smoking remains of the Nomu, realizing instantly what that creature was meant to do, and who it was meant to kill.

"You did it again, my boy," All Might whispered, a profound sense of awe and gratitude swelling in his chest. "You saved me."

Up on the stairs, Class 1-A watched in silent reverence as the Symbol of Peace carried their classmate out of the ruins. Katsuki Bakugo stood among them, his hands trembling, staring at the crater left by Izuku Midoriya.

Bakugo realized, with absolute, terrifying clarity, that Deku wasn't just aiming for the top. He was already there.
