What If Deku Wielded the Infinity Gauntlet

The air in Jaku City no longer smelled of oxygen. It smelled of pulverized concrete, copper blood, and the sterile, terrifying scent of ozone. It smelled of the end of the world.

Ash drifted down from the suffocated sky, mimicking a gentle winter snow, though the heat radiating from the scorched earth was enough to blister the skin. There were no buildings left. No streets. No signs of the lives that had bustlingly occupied this space only hours prior. There was only a jagged crater of absolute desolation, miles wide, hollowed out by the touch of a single man.

Or rather, something that used to be a man.

Midoriya Izuku, hero name Deku, hovered twenty feet above the ruined earth. His breathing was a jagged, wet rattle in his chest. Every inhale felt like inhaling glass. His Gran Torino cape was shredded, blowing wildly in the unnatural thermals generated by the raging fires below. His teal lightning, the visual manifestation of One For All, flickered and sputtered like a dying neon sign. He was running on fumes, adrenaline, and the stubborn, unyielding will of the ghosts living inside his soul.

Below him, wrapped in the protective, shadowy tendrils of Blackwhip, were the battered bodies of his allies. Endeavor, the Number One Hero, was unconscious, his left side charred and bleeding, his Hellflame extinguished. Bakugo Katsuki hung limp in the dark restraints, his breathing shallow, his costume blown to rags, a gruesome puncture wound leaking crimson down his midsection. Bakugo had taken a blow meant for Izuku. The memory of it—Kacchan pushing him out of the way, the sickening sound of flesh tearing—played on a vicious, agonizing loop in Izuku’s mind.

I have to protect them, Izuku thought, his emerald eyes locked onto the nightmare standing in the center of the crater. I have to keep them in the air. If he touches the ground… if he unleashes that wave again… we all die.

Shigaraki Tomura stood amidst the wreckage, a god of ruin.

His white hair danced wildly in the superheated wind. His body was a horror of bio-engineered perfection, muscles tearing and stitching themselves back together with terrifying speed thanks to Super Regeneration. But it was his eyes that froze Izuku’s blood. They were not the eyes of the lost, angry child Izuku had seen at the USJ, nor the unhinged villain from Kamino. They were ancient, cold, and dripping with malicious amusement. All For One was at the helm now, puppeteering his vessel with terrifying precision.

"Is that it, Ninth?" the voice that echoed from Shigaraki’s throat was dual-toned, an overlapping harmonic of master and student. It sent a localized tremor of Danger Sense spiking so violently into Izuku’s skull that it felt like an icepick driven between his eyes. "You hover there like a frightened insect. You hold onto those broken toys, wasting your strength. Surrender it. Give me my brother’s power, and I shall allow you to die quickly."

Izuku gritted his teeth, tasting copper. He tightened his grip on One For All, channeling the stockpiled energy of eight generations through his battered limbs. He couldn't feel his left arm anymore; it hung uselessly by his side, the bones reduced to splinters from a previous 100% smash. His right arm, encased in the heavy, reinforced metallic support gauntlet crafted by Hatsume Mei, throbbed with a dull, sickening ache.

Inside the vast, starry expanse of his mindscape, the Vestiges were in an uproar.

“Izuku, you cannot engage him head-on again!” the voice of the First User, Yoichi, echoed in his consciousness. “His body is adapting. His quirks are synchronizing. If you clash with him at full power in your current state, your body will shatter entirely!”

“Kid, listen to him!” Daigoro Banjo, the fifth user, yelled, pulling taut on the mental strings of Blackwhip. “You’re burning out! You gotta get out of here, take Dynamight and the big guy, and retreat!”

“I can’t,” Izuku replied, his mental voice echoing with desperate resolve. “If I leave, he’ll destroy the rest of the city. He’ll move on to the evacuation shelters. There is no one else left to stop him. It has to be me. It has to be now.”

Silence fell over the vestiges. They knew he was right. They had chosen him because of this exact, suicidal selflessness.

Izuku focused his emerald eyes on Shigaraki. The villain raised a hand, black and red tendrils of raw quirk energy coalescing around his fingers. The air began to vibrate. He was combining Air Cannon, Radio Waves, and Heavy Payload. He was preparing to blast Izuku out of the sky.

"I won't let you!" Izuku screamed, his voice raw. He shifted the unconscious bodies of Bakugo and Endeavor higher, securing them with Blackwhip.

He drew his right fist back. The air around him cracked. Red veins spider-webbed across his skin. The metallic gauntlet on his forearm hissed as the internal cooling systems strained against the sheer output of energy. He didn't just need 100%. He needed more. He needed to combine Fa Jin, stockpiled kinetic energy, with the raw, unadulterated power of One For All.

"Pseudo-100%..." Izuku muttered, the words escaping as a cloud of steam from his lips. "No... it has to be everything. Real 100%!"

"Come to me, little brother!" Shigaraki/All For One roared, thrusting his hand forward. A catastrophic beam of distorted, warped space and crimson energy erupted from his palm. It was a blast large enough to level a mountain range, tearing the very oxygen from the atmosphere as it rocketed toward Izuku.

Izuku didn't dodge. He couldn't.

He kicked off the air itself using Float and the sheer concussive force of his legs, launching himself downward, directly into the path of the beam.

"DETROIT...!"

Izuku’s right arm bulged, the muscles tearing and knitting together in micro-seconds as One For All flooded his cells. The Hatsume gauntlet whined, the metal glowing a cherry red under the friction and pressure. He collided with the leading edge of Shigaraki's blast.

"SMASH!!!"

Izuku’s fist met the beam.

The collision did not produce a sound at first. The sheer magnitude of the kinetic energy overwhelmed the atmosphere’s ability to carry acoustic waves. For a fraction of a second, the world went dead silent, bathed in a blinding, negative-color flash. All shadows pointed in the wrong directions. The laws of thermodynamics wept.

Then, the shockwave hit.

It was a localized apocalypse. The earth beneath Shigaraki inverted, splashing upward like liquid. The clouds above were erased, blown away in a perfect ring that spanned the horizon. The remaining ruins of Jaku City were atomized into dust.

Izuku screamed, the sound lost in the roar of the impact. The skin on his right arm began to peel back. The bones groaned. The blast was too much; Shigaraki’s combined quirks were acting as a drill, boring into the wall of Izuku’s kinetic force.

But Izuku pushed. He pushed with the weight of All Might’s legacy. He pushed with the memory of his mother’s tears. He pushed with the desperate need to see his friends smile one more time.

The energy compressed. The space between Izuku’s fist and Shigaraki’s attack condensed into a singularity of pure, undeniable force. Two unstoppable wills—the pinnacle of absolute heroism and the abyss of absolute villainy—grinding against each other at a microscopic point in space.

Something had to give.

But it wasn't Izuku’s arm, and it wasn't Shigaraki’s power.

It was reality itself.

KR-KR-KRAK!

The sound was distinct, cutting through the deafening roar of the battle. It sounded like a glacier snapping in half, directly inside Izuku’s inner ear.

At the exact epicenter of their clash, a black dot appeared. In a millisecond, it expanded, spider-webbing outward into the air. It didn't look like a quirk. It looked like a crack in a pane of glass. But this glass was the fabric of the three-dimensional universe.

The crack glowed with an impossible, blinding white light. Through the fissures, Izuku could see... things. He saw nebulas. He saw swirling galaxies of colors that didn't exist on the human spectrum. He felt a sudden, terrifying vertigo, as if he were falling upward into a bottomless ocean.

The clash of One For All and All For One had generated so much concentrated, conflicting metaphysical energy that it had ruptured the boundary between dimensions. They had torn a hole in the multiverse.

Below, Shigaraki’s eyes widened in genuine shock. The voice of All For One faltered. "What... what is this?" he hissed, his attack fizzling out as the gravitational pull of the rift violently absorbed his quirk energy.

Izuku was frozen in the air, his momentum halted entirely. The rift hovered just inches from his extended fist. The ambient temperature plummeted to absolute zero, then skyrocketed to a million degrees, then settled into a bizarre, humming static.

From deep within the cosmic fissure, a sound emerged. It was a low, resonant thrum, like the heartbeat of a dying star.

Thrum.

Thrum.

Thrum.

Inside Izuku’s mind, the Vestige world violently convulsed. The shadowy, nebulous room where the past users sat was suddenly flooded with blinding, kaleidoscopic light. The chairs shattered. The First User fell to his knees, clutching his head, screaming in an agony Izuku had never felt from him before.

“Izuku!” Yoichi shrieked, his voice distorted. “Something is coming! Something old! Something infinite!”

Before Izuku could process the warning, the rift violently spat something out.

Six streaks of light shot from the multiversal tear like falling stars. They were vibrant, impossibly bright, and moved with a terrifying, sentient purpose. Purple, Blue, Red, Orange, Green, and Yellow.

They circled the battlefield for a fraction of a second, leaving trails of stardust in the ruined atmosphere. Shigaraki, ever greedy, reached his hand out, his eyes wide with a hunger Izuku had never seen. "Power..." the villain gasped. "Absolute power! Come to me!"

But the lights ignored him.

They were not drawn to the void of All For One. They were drawn to the gravity of something else. They were drawn to a vessel that contained multiple souls, a beacon of stockpiled, raw, cumulative energy. They were drawn to the singularity of One For All.

They were drawn to Izuku.

The six meteors of light abruptly changed trajectory, converging on the boy floating in the sky. Izuku tried to raise his arms to shield himself, but his body wouldn't obey. He was locked in place by an invisible, cosmic pressure.

The lights didn't strike his flesh. They struck the reinforced metal of Hatsume’s mid-gauntlet on his right arm.

The impact was silent, but the shockwave ripped through Izuku’s very soul.

He watched in frozen horror as the heavy, utilitarian metal of his gauntlet began to warp and melt. But it didn't burn him. The metal moved as if it were liquid, restructuring itself, shifting its molecular lattice to accommodate the celestial bodies that had just slammed into it.

Six distinct, glowing gemstones embedded themselves into the metal.

On the knuckles, in a row, sat four stones: Purple (Power), Blue (Space), Red (Reality), and Orange (Soul).

On the thumb joint sat the Green stone (Time).

And perfectly centered on the back of his hand, dominating the array, sat the massive Yellow stone (Mind).

The moment the final stone locked into the warped metal, the multiversal rift snapped shut behind Izuku, disappearing as if it had never been there.

Then, the surge began.

Izuku Midoriya had experienced pain. He had broken his arms and legs so many times that the agony of shattered bone was a familiar, almost welcome companion. He had felt his muscles tear under the strain of 1,000,000% Delaware Detroit Smashes. He had felt the burning, corrosive touch of Shigaraki’s decay grazing his skin.

He thought he knew what maximum pain was.

He was wrong.

The moment the Infinity Stones synchronized with his biological and spiritual network, Izuku didn't scream. His vocal cords paralyzed instantly. His eyes rolled back into his head, glowing a blinding, incandescent white.

Cosmic energy—raw, unfiltered, primordial power that predated the Big Bang—flooded into his veins. It didn't just run through his bloodstream; it ran through his atoms. Every single cell in his body was being irradiated, broken down, and violently reconstructed millions of times a second.

Rainbow lightning, vicious and thick as tree trunks, erupted from his body, replacing the familiar teal arcs of One For All. The lightning whipped wildly, striking the earth and turning the ground to glass.

Inside the Vestige world, the apocalypse had arrived.

The shadowy realm was bathed in a terrifying, prismatic storm. The sky was tearing open. Daigoro Banjo was thrown backward. Nana Shimura was on her knees, crying out as the cosmic radiation bled into their spiritual forms.

“Hold him together!” Yoichi screamed over the roaring tempest of energy, grabbing onto the ethereal threads of One For All. “If we let go, his body will disintegrate! Anchor the quirks to the stones! NOW!”

The Vestiges desperately acted as a spiritual buffer. They slammed their collective wills into the overwhelming tide of power.

The Purple Stone (Power) locked onto the sheer stockpiled kinetic energy and Fa Jin, amplifying it to a level that defied comprehension.

The Blue Stone (Space) wrapped itself around the anti-gravity mechanics of Float, anchoring Izuku to the spatial fabric of the universe.

The Yellow Stone (Mind) violently merged with Danger Sense, expanding Izuku’s awareness from his immediate surroundings to every single conscious thought on the planet Earth simultaneously.

The Red Stone (Reality) seeped into Smokescreen, turning the gaseous quirk into a conduit that could rewrite the physical state of matter.

The Orange Stone (Soul) intertwined with Blackwhip, turning the tendrils of anger into tethers of spiritual life force.

The Green Stone (Time) synchronized with Gearshift, elevating the ability to alter speed into the ability to manipulate the flow of chronal history itself.

One For All acted as a massive, intricate circuit board, catching the infinite power of the stones and distributing it, preventing Izuku from instantly exploding into a mist of blood and cosmic dust.

But barely.

In the physical world, Izuku’s body was arching backward in mid-air. The right arm, bearing the modified gauntlet, was smoking. The fabric of his hero costume began to singe and burn away, revealing skin that was glowing with a terrifying, ethereal light. The veins in his arm were visibly pulsing with six different colors.

He finally found his voice.

It started as a gasp, then a wail, and finally, a roar of sheer, unadulterated agony that echoed across the ruined landscape. The sound was so loud, so filled with raw power, that the shockwave shattered the remaining glass in buildings thirty miles away.

“DEKU!” a voice screamed.

Izuku’s eyes snapped open. The blinding white light faded from his irises, replaced by a swirling, chaotic galaxy of colors. He looked down.

Bakugo had regained consciousness. He was dangling in the Blackwhip tendrils, clutching his bleeding side, looking up at Izuku with an expression Izuku had never seen on his childhood friend's face. It wasn't anger. It wasn't frustration.

It was absolute, primal terror.

"What... what did you do?!" Bakugo choked out, blood spilling over his lips. "Nerd... your arm...!"

Izuku couldn't respond. He couldn't form words. The sheer volume of information flooding his brain from the Mind Stone was crushing him. He could hear millions of voices. He could hear people crying in Tokyo. He could hear villains plotting in Hokkaido. He could hear the heartbeat of every bird, every dog, every human in the country. He could feel the rotation of the Earth. He could feel the space between atoms.

It was too much. It was driving him insane.

"Fascinating," Shigaraki’s voice cut through the noise, amplified by Air Cannon. The villain was looking at Izuku not as a threat, but as the ultimate prize. The voice of All For One dripped with dark ecstasy. "I do not know what anomaly you have absorbed, Ninth. But it radiates a power that makes One For All look like a child's toy. I want it."

Shigaraki crouched, his leg muscles bulging grotesquely as Super Regeneration healed his previous wounds. "I WILL TAKE IT!"

With an explosive boom, Shigaraki launched himself into the air, soaring straight toward Izuku, his hands outstretched, all ten fingers spread wide. If he touched Izuku, he would decay him to dust and take the gauntlet from the ashes.

Izuku saw him coming. But with the Time Stone active, Shigaraki wasn't moving fast. He was crawling. Izuku could see the individual drops of blood leaving Shigaraki’s wounds, suspended in mid-air.

He’s going to kill us, the thought pierced through the agonizing noise in Izuku’s head. He’s going to kill Kacchan. He’s going to kill Endeavor. I have to stop him. I have to push him away.

It was a simple, instinctual thought. A defensive reflex born from years of fighting for his life.

Izuku didn't throw a punch. He didn't cock his arm back. He simply raised his right hand, his palm facing the incoming villain.

On the back of his warped, liquid-metal gauntlet, the Purple Stone and the Blue Stone flared to life.

There was no battle cry. No "Smash".

There was only a subtle, localized distortion in the air, like the heat shimmering off asphalt in the summer.

A wave of energy, utterly silent and devoid of any physical color, erupted from Izuku’s palm.

It struck Shigaraki Tomura when he was fifty feet away.

The villain didn't even have time to register surprise. The cosmic force of the Power Stone, guided by the spatial manipulation of the Space Stone, hit him with the kinetic equivalent of a small moon crashing into the Earth, but concentrated entirely onto the surface area of his chest.

Shigaraki’s ribs shattered instantly, pulverized into powder. His lungs collapsed. The bio-engineered perfection of his body was folded backward.

And then, he was gone.

He wasn't disintegrated. He was launched.

The shockwave blasted Shigaraki backward so fast that he broke the sound barrier ten times over in a fraction of a second. A massive, concussive ring of vapor erupted in the sky where he had just been. Shigaraki was violently thrown across the continent, his body tearing through the atmosphere like a reverse meteor.

But the attack didn't stop with him. The residual energy of Izuku’s gesture cleaved through the air behind where Shigaraki had been. The clouds in the sky were parted, sliced perfectly in half for as far as the eye could see. The mountains in the distant background of Jaku City simply... vanished, the tops sheared off cleanly by the ripple in space.

The silence that followed was absolute.

The roaring fires below seemed to dim. The wind stopped howling.

Izuku lowered his hand. The Purple and Blue stones dimmed, though they continued to pulse with an ominous, rhythmic heartbeat.

The sudden cessation of output caused a massive feedback loop inside Izuku’s body. The adrenaline vanished, replaced by an exhaustion so profound it felt like death. The cosmic energy retreated, settling back into the stones, but the damage was done.

Blackwhip dissolved. Float gave out.

Izuku plummeted from the sky, alongside Bakugo and Endeavor.

They hit the ash-covered ground of the crater hard, tumbling through the dust. Izuku lay on his back, staring up at the divided sky. The clouds were still separated, a massive, unnatural blue canyon carved through the gray heavens.

He couldn't move his right arm. It was completely dead to him.

He slowly, agonizingly, rolled his head to the side. Bakugo was a few feet away, groaning in pain, but alive. Endeavor was still out cold, his chest rising and falling rhythmically.

Izuku looked down at his right arm.

The sleeve of his costume was gone, incinerated. His skin, from the shoulder down to the wrist, was charred pitch black, cracked like cooling magma. Deep within the fissures of his burnt flesh, residual rainbow energy sparked and fizzled, a terrifying reminder of the radiation that had just flooded his system. It smelled like burnt meat and metallic ozone.

And attached to his hand, seamlessly fused to the skin and remaining bone, was the gauntlet.

The metal had cooled into a sleek, dark grey, perfectly molded to the contours of his forearm. The six stones sat in their settings, no longer blindingly bright, but pulsing gently.

Purple. Blue. Red. Orange. Green. Yellow.

They hummed. A low, vibrating frequency that Izuku could feel in his teeth.

“Izuku…” Yoichi’s voice whispered in his mind. It sounded weak, exhausted, and absolutely terrified. “What… what have you brought upon us?”

Izuku stared at the stones. He had just swatted away the most powerful villain in history with a flick of his wrist. He hadn't even used a fraction of a percent of whatever was sitting on his hand. He could feel it. The stones were whispering to him, promising him that he could fix it all. He could rewind time. He could resurrect the dead. He could rewrite reality so that nobody ever had to cry again.

Power. Absolute power.

His vision began to darken at the edges. The trauma of the physical and spiritual strain was finally forcing his brain to shut down.

As Izuku Midoriya slipped into unconsciousness on the ash-covered floor of Jaku City, the six stones on his blackened arm pulsed once more, casting long, colorful shadows across the ruins of a world that would never be the same.

The sound of the heart monitor did not beep; it wept.

Or at least, that was how it sounded to Izuku Midoriya. As consciousness clawed its way back into his mind, the sterile, rhythmic beep-beep-beep of the machine beside his bed warped and stretched, pitch-shifting into something that sounded like a choral hum. The ambient noise of the room—the hum of the fluorescent lights, the quiet whir of the underground ventilation system—layered over itself, creating a discordant symphony that vibrated against his eardrums.

He didn't open his eyes immediately. He was afraid to. The last thing he remembered was the sky splitting open, the deafening silence of a broken reality, and the agonizing, soul-tearing fire that had consumed his right arm.

My arm.

Izuku tried to twitch his right index finger.

The response was not a physical movement, but a sensory explosion. A spike of pure, unadulterated agony shot from his knuckles straight into his cerebral cortex. It didn't feel like a broken bone or torn muscle. It felt as though someone had injected liquid nitrogen mixed with battery acid directly into his marrow. He gasped, his back arching off the stiff mattress, his eyes flying open.

"He's awake! Hold him down, don't let him thrash!"

Hands pressed against his shoulders. Through the blurry, tear-filled haze of his vision, Izuku made out the vaulted, reinforced concrete ceiling of the U.A. High underground medical bunker. The smell of antiseptic was overpowering, cut only by a strange, metallic scent lingering in the air just above him—ozone and burnt sugar. The smell of cosmic radiation.

He turned his head, panting heavily. Recovery Girl was hovering over him, her usually stern face pale and etched with exhaustion. Beside her stood Aizawa, heavily bandaged, missing an eye, and leaning heavily on a crutch. And hovering near the foot of the bed, her large red eyes wide with terror, was Eri.

"Breathe, Midoriya. Just breathe," Aizawa commanded, his voice raspy.

Izuku tried to obey, but his lungs felt tight, as if the air itself was too heavy. He looked down at his right arm and stopped breathing entirely.

It was restrained to the bed by heavy, quirk-suppressing steel cuffs, but the cuffs were visibly warping, the metal glowing a faint, cherry red where it touched his skin. The sleeve of his hospital gown had been cut away. His arm, from the bicep down to the fingertips, was horrific. The skin was charred a deep, obsidian black, cracked and fissured like the surface of a dying star. Beneath the cracked skin, instead of blood, veins of luminescent, shifting colors pulsed with a sickening rhythm. Purple, blue, red, orange, green, and yellow light bled through his flesh.

And there, fused seamlessly to his hand and forearm, was the melted remains of Hatsume’s gauntlet. The metal had bonded with his skin, creating a biomechanical nightmare. Set into the dark metal were the six stones. They were dormant now, but they still emitted a low, throbbing hum that made Izuku’s teeth ache.

"What..." Izuku croaked, his voice cracking. "What is..."

"We don't know," Recovery Girl said, her voice shaking slightly as she stepped back. She wiped sweat from her brow. "We managed to stabilize your heart rate, but... Midoriya, I cannot heal you. I tried to use my Quirk, but your cells... they aren't functioning like human cells anymore. They are operating on an energy source I've never seen. If I try to speed up your cellular regeneration, the energy inside those... those things... it violently repels me. It burned my hands just trying to touch your shoulder."

Izuku swallowed hard. He looked at Eri. The little girl was trembling, clutching the hem of her dress.

"I... I tried too, Deku," Eri whispered, tears welling in her eyes. "I tried to Rewind your arm to before it got hurt. But... but it wouldn't let me. When I used my Quirk on the stones, the green one... it glowed. And my Quirk just... stopped. It felt like it was telling me 'no'."

Izuku’s breath hitched. Eri’s Rewind was absolute. It reversed biological time. If her Quirk couldn't affect his arm, that meant whatever these stones were, they existed outside the rules of time itself. The green stone—the Time Stone—had simply overridden her Quirk.

"You've been unconscious for three days," Aizawa said grimly, leaning his weight onto his crutch. "The battle at Jaku ended the moment you... whatever it was you did to Shigaraki. He was found hours later, miles away, embedded in the side of a mountain in the next prefecture. He was comatose, his body entirely shattered. All For One's forces retreated when their leader fell. We won the battle, Midoriya. But..."

Aizawa looked at Izuku’s arm, his singular visible eye filled with a deep, unsettling dread. "The readings the support course took on your arm... the energy output is unquantifiable. It’s breaking our instruments. What did you do, problem child?"

Izuku opened his mouth to speak, but a sudden, violent spasm wracked his body. The yellow stone on the back of his hand flared brilliantly.

Suddenly, Izuku didn't just hear the hum of the room. He heard a voice.

...wish I could take the pain away from him... It was Recovery Girl’s internal thought.

...if he explodes, the bunker won't contain it... Aizawa’s fear.

...Deku hurts so much... Eri’s sorrow.

The voices multiplied. It wasn't just the room. It was the hallway outside. It was the medical wards above. It was the civilian shelters deep beneath the school. Thousands of voices, overlapping, screaming, crying, worrying, praying—flooding directly into Izuku’s mind like a tidal wave breaking over a fragile dam. The Mind Stone was syncing with Danger Sense, tearing open his empathetic receptors to the entire continent.

Izuku screamed, clapping his good left hand over his ears, squeezing his eyes shut. "Make it stop! Make it stop!"

"Midoriya!" Aizawa shouted, reaching forward, but as his hand neared Izuku’s shoulder, a pulse of blue light from the Space Stone shoved the teacher backward with the force of a battering ram, sending him crashing into the far wall.

"Mr. Aizawa!" Izuku cried out, horrified by his own involuntary action.

The sensory overload peaked, and Izuku’s consciousness shattered. The physical room fell away, dissolving into a blinding flash of prismatic light, pulling him violently inward.

When Izuku opened his eyes again, he was no longer in the hospital bed. He was standing in the void of One For All.

Only, it wasn't a void anymore.

The infinite, dark, comforting expanse of his inner mindscape had been utterly violated. The realm was bathed in a terrifying, swirling storm of cosmic colors. Nebulas of violet and blue clashed with rivers of crimson and emerald green. The floor beneath his feet, usually a calm, shadowy mist, was cracked like glass, glowing with raw, unstable power. The air felt suffocatingly heavy, vibrating with a frequency that threatened to shake Izuku’s soul apart.

He looked around frantically. "First? Banjo? Nana?!"

A few yards away, huddled near the fragmented remains of the spectral chairs they usually occupied, were the Vestiges of One For All. But they looked horrific.

Daigoro Banjo was on his knees, his usually robust, glowing avatar flickering violently like a corrupted video file, his edges bleeding into orange and purple light. Nana Shimura was curled into a ball, clutching her head, weeping silently as the overwhelming cosmic noise bombarded her spirit.

Only Yoichi, the First User, was standing. He looked at Izuku, his bright, ethereal eyes filled with an ancient, profound terror. His spectral form was tethered by glowing lines of One For All energy to the six massive, floating monoliths of color that now dominated the sky of the mindscape—the spiritual manifestations of the Infinity Stones.

"Izuku," Yoichi’s voice echoed, layered with the static of the cosmos. "You have returned."

"What is happening?" Izuku panicked, running toward them. "Why does it look like this? What's wrong with Nana and Banjo?"

"Do not touch us, Ninth!" the Second User barked, appearing from the blinding light. His form was heavily distorted. "Your spiritual gravity is too dense. If you get too close, you’ll tear our consciousness apart."

Izuku stopped dead in his tracks, his heart hammering in his chest. "I... I don't understand."

Yoichi stepped forward, straining against the ethereal tethers that bound him to the glowing monoliths above. "When you clashed with my brother... the sheer, localized output of your combined forces ruptured the dimensional barrier. You created a singularity. And it drew them in." Yoichi gestured to the sky.

"What are they?" Izuku breathed.

"They are the localized focal points of the universe's fundamental concepts," Yoichi explained, his voice trembling. "Space. Time. Reality. Power. Mind. Soul. They are not quirks, Izuku. Quirks are biological mutations. These... these are the building blocks of existence itself. They are primordial, and they are sentient in a way we cannot comprehend. And they were drawn to you because One For All is the most massive vessel of stockpiled souls and energy in this reality."

"Can... can I take them off?" Izuku asked, his voice shrinking back to that of a frightened child.

Yoichi smiled, a sad, pitying expression. "No. They have anchored themselves to your biology and to One For All. If they are forcefully removed, the feedback loop will instantly incinerate you, the surrounding city, and likely tear the atmosphere off the planet."

Izuku fell to his knees on the cracked, glowing floor. The weight of the revelation hit him like a physical blow.

"We are doing everything we can," Banjo grunted from the floor, his voice strained. "We're using the stockpiled energy of One For All as a dam... catching the runoff energy of the stones so it doesn't fry your brain. Blackwhip is tying the Soul stone down... Fa Jin is bleeding off the Power stone. But Kid... it's too much."

Nana lifted her head, her face etched with sorrow. "Izuku... we are burning up. The stones are demanding to be used. They are forces of nature, and a force must have motion. By holding them stagnant within your body, they are slowly eating away at your cellular structure. One For All can only act as a buffer for so long."

"How long?" Izuku whispered.

Yoichi looked down. "Days. Perhaps a week. Before your body undergoes complete atomic failure."

A heavy, suffocating silence fell over the kaleidoscopic void. Izuku looked down at his spectral hands. Even here, in his soul, his right arm was a blackened, glowing mess. He had the power to reshape the universe, and it was a death sentence.

"There is something else," the Third User spoke up from the shadows. "The temptation."

"What do you mean?" Izuku asked.

"You possess the power of God, Izuku Midoriya," Yoichi said softly. "With a thought, you could alter reality. You could heal the wounded. You could turn back time and prevent this war. You could erase All For One from existence with a snap of your fingers."

Izuku’s eyes widened. "I... I could? I could fix everything?"

"Yes," Yoichi said. "But the cost is absolute. Reality is a tightly woven tapestry. If you use the stones to pull a massive thread, the universe will demand a toll to reweave it. The physical toll on your body... using all six simultaneously to alter existence on a massive scale..."

"It would kill me," Izuku finished the sentence. It wasn't a question.

"Instantly," Yoichi confirmed. "The energy required to reshape reality would consume the vestiges, consume One For All, and consume your soul. You would cease to exist. And worse... power like this corrupts absolutely. You must not use them casually, Izuku. Every time you bend reality to your will, you lose a piece of your humanity. You are a hero. Not a deity. Remember that."

The blinding light of the mindscape surged, and Izuku felt himself being violently pulled backward, waking up.

Izuku gasped, his eyes snapping open to the dimly lit ceiling of his private quarantine room. He was breathing hard, sweat soaking his hospital gown. Aizawa and Recovery Girl were gone. The room was quiet, save for the rhythmic, choral hum of the stones on his arm. The heavy steel restraints were still in place.

Before he could process the conversation with the Vestiges, the heavy metal door to his room hissed open.

"Who the hell said you could sleep for three days, you damn nerd?"

Izuku turned his head. Bakugo Katsuki stood in the doorway. He looked terrible. His right arm was in a sling, his chest was heavily wrapped in thick, blood-spotted bandages, and half his face was covered in a sterile gauze patch. He moved stiffly, clearly in agonizing pain, but his red eyes were as fierce and furious as ever.

"Kacchan..." Izuku breathed. Relief flooded him. Bakugo was alive. The last time Izuku had seen him, he was bleeding out in mid-air.

Bakugo kicked the door shut with his heel. He limped over to the side of Izuku’s bed, glaring down at him. He didn't say anything at first. He just stared at the blackened, glowing, biomechanical horror attached to Izuku’s right arm.

The silence stretched, thick and uncomfortable. Izuku could feel the Mind Stone pulsing lightly. He tried to suppress it, terrified of hearing Bakugo’s thoughts, but a faint whisper leaked through.

...it’s my fault. I wasn't fast enough. He had to do this because I was too weak to protect him...

"Get out of my head," Bakugo suddenly snarled, his voice a low, dangerous growl. He glared at the yellow stone. "I don't know what the hell that thing is, but if you're listening to my thoughts right now, I'll blow your other arm off."

Izuku flinched, squeezing his eyes shut. "I'm trying, Kacchan. I can't... I can't control it. It's too loud."

Bakugo gritted his teeth. He pulled up a metal chair with his good hand and collapsed into it, wincing as his ribs protested. He leaned forward, resting his elbows on his knees, staring intently at Izuku.

"Aizawa briefed me," Bakugo said, his voice uncharacteristically quiet. "Told me the eggheads in the support department think you've got some kind of alien reality-warping rocks glued to your arm. Told me the energy readings are off the charts. Told me you blasted Shigaraki into the stratosphere without even throwing a punch."

Izuku looked away, ashamed. "I didn't mean to. I just... I wanted to push him away from you."

"Shut up," Bakugo snapped. But there was no heat in it. Just a profound, heavy exhaustion. "You always do this. You always find a way to take the entire weight of the damn world and shove it on your own shoulders. You didn't even have a Quirk a year ago, and now you're sitting here playing God."

"I'm not playing God!" Izuku protested, his voice cracking. "I didn't ask for this, Kacchan! They just... they attached to me! And they're killing me!"

Bakugo flinched. His red eyes widened slightly. "What do you mean, they're killing you?"

Izuku swallowed the lump in his throat. "The Vestiges... they told me. My body can't handle the energy. One For All is acting as a shield, but it's breaking down. I have a few days. Maybe a week."

Bakugo stared at him. The furious, explosive teenager seemed to shatter in that moment. His jaw tightened, and he looked down at his own bandaged hands. When he spoke again, his voice trembled.

"You're a suicidal idiot, Deku. You know that? You got your arm blown to bits, you got irradiated, and you're lying here on death's door... and for what? Because you had to save me?" Bakugo’s voice rose, the anger returning, masking the profound guilt. "I didn't ask you to save me! I took that hit for you so you could win the fight, not so you could turn yourself into a ticking time bomb!"

"I couldn't let you die!" Izuku yelled back, tears finally spilling over his cheeks. "I don't care if I die, Kacchan! I don't care! If it means you, and mom, and Uraraka, and Mr. Aizawa get to live... I'd do it a thousand times!"

Bakugo stood up so fast his chair tipped over with a loud clatter. He grabbed the collar of Izuku’s hospital gown with his uninjured hand, pulling the boy slightly off the mattress.

"That's exactly your problem!" Bakugo roared, spit flying from his lips. "You think you're the only one who's allowed to sacrifice themselves! You think your life is just some cheap currency you can trade away to keep everyone else safe! Well, news flash, Deku! When you die, it hurts us! When you throw yourself into the meat grinder, we have to watch you get torn apart!"

Bakugo was panting, his face inches from Izuku’s. Tears were streaming down Izuku’s face. Bakugo held him there for a moment longer before slowly releasing his grip, letting Izuku fall back against the pillows.

"You have all the power in the universe right now," Bakugo whispered, stepping back. "Don't use it to kill yourself. Find a way to survive. Because if you die on me now, after everything... I'll never forgive you."

Bakugo turned and limped out of the room, leaving the door open behind him.

Izuku lay there, sobbing quietly. The stones on his arm pulsed in time with his racing heartbeat.

The emotional spike caused the Yellow Stone to flare again. The mental dam broke. The voices flooded back in, ten times louder than before. The suffering of the entire country, the panic of the refugees, the agony of the wounded heroes in the wards above. It was a torrential downpour of human misery, pouring directly into his brain.

Izuku thrashed against the steel cuffs. The blue and red stones began to glow. Reality in the room began to warp. The edges of the bed turned into smoke. The walls began to ripple like water. He was losing control. The power was going to detonate.

"Deku?"

A soft, hesitant voice cut through the cacophony.

Ochaco Uraraka stood in the doorway. She was covered in dirt and soot, a bandage wrapped around her forehead, her hero costume torn and frayed. She looked exhausted, but as she saw Izuku thrashing, her eyes filled with fierce determination.

She ran into the room, ignoring the rippling, physics-defying phenomena occurring around the bed. She didn't hesitate. She reached out and grabbed Izuku’s left hand—his good hand—in both of hers.

"Deku! Look at me!" she shouted over the roaring noise only he could hear.

Izuku’s eyes, glowing white again, snapped to her.

"I'm right here," she said, her voice steady, anchoring him. She squeezed his hand tightly. Her skin was warm, calloused, and vibrantly human. "Focus on my voice. Just my voice. Shut everything else out."

It was a Herculean task, but Izuku clung to the sensation of her hand like a drowning man clutching a life preserver. Amidst the infinite, deafening noise of the Mind Stone, the simple, singular warmth of Ochaco’s touch was a beacon.

He focused on the dirt on her cheek. He focused on the slight tear in the shoulder of her suit. He focused on the very mortal, very beautiful brown of her eyes.

Slowly, the glowing stones on his right arm began to dim. The rippling walls solidified back into concrete. The smoke reverted to the metal frame of the bed. The voices in his head receded to a manageable hum.

Izuku slumped back, gasping for air, the white light fading from his eyes.

"I've got you," Uraraka whispered, tears welling in her eyes as she stroked his knuckles. "I'm right here."

"Uraraka..." Izuku breathed, his voice barely a whisper. "It's so loud. There's so much pain out there."

She sat on the edge of his bed, refusing to let go of his hand. "I know. It's awful. The city... Jaku is gone. The casualties are... they're bad, Deku. The heroes took a massive hit."

Izuku turned his head to look at his right arm. The Red Stone of Reality and the Green Stone of Time pulsed softly, almost enticingly.

"I could fix it," Izuku whispered, the thought slipping out of his mouth before he could stop it.

Uraraka blinked, confused. "What?"

"The stones," Izuku said, a strange, hollow tone entering his voice. He stared at the gems. "They're talking to me. Showing me what they can do. I could use the Time Stone... I could rewind the entire battlefield. I could bring Midnight back. I could fix Mr. Aizawa's eye. I could heal Kacchan. I could use the Reality Stone and just... un-make all the destruction. Just wish it all away."

Uraraka stared at him, a chill running down her spine. "Deku... you can't."

"Why not?" Izuku asked, his eyes sliding toward her. For a split second, there was something deeply terrifying in his gaze—an echo of a power too vast for a human soul to carry. "I'm supposed to save people. If I have the power to save everyone, to fix everything, isn't it selfish of me not to use it?"

"Because it would destroy you!" Uraraka pleaded, gripping his hand tighter. "Mr. Aizawa told us what the doctors said. The energy is killing you just by sitting there. If you try to change reality... Deku, you'll die!"

"But everyone else would live," Izuku murmured.

"And what about us?!" Uraraka’s voice broke, tears spilling down her cheeks. "What about me? What about your mom? We don't want a perfect world if you're not in it, Izuku! You aren't a god! You're Izuku Midoriya. You're my friend. You're the boy who loves All Might and takes too many notes and mumbles when he's nervous. Please... don't let this thing turn you into something else."

Her words pierced through the cosmic fog clouding his mind. The temptation—the intoxicating, insidious whisper of the stones offering absolute control—shattered. Izuku looked at Uraraka’s crying face, and the crushing weight of what he had almost considered doing fell upon him. He had been casually contemplating rewriting the history of the universe.

He broke down. He squeezed her hand, sobbing into the pillow. "I'm scared, Uraraka. I'm so scared. I don't know what to do."

She leaned forward, resting her forehead gently against his, her tears mixing with his. "We'll figure it out," she whispered fiercely. "You aren't doing this alone anymore. We are going to find a way to take that thing off you, and we're going to save you."

Miles away, deep within a labyrinthine cavern beneath the mountains of the neighboring prefecture, the air was thick with the smell of blood and decay.

The Nomu vats bubbled quietly. The loyal remnants of the Paranormal Liberation Front scurried in the darkness, terrified, tending to the medical equipment.

In the center of the vast cavern, suspended in a massive, bio-restorative fluid tank, was Shigaraki Tomura.

His body was a grotesque ruin. His chest cavity had been entirely caved in. His limbs were shattered. The Super Regeneration Quirk was working at maximum overdrive, but the damage was so fundamentally absolute that the cells were struggling to knit together.

Before the tank stood Doctor Garaki, sweating profusely as he typed frantically into a console. "Incredible... terrifying... the kinetic impact didn't just break his bones, it disrupted his quirk factors on a sub-atomic level. I've never seen anything like it. It wasn't One For All. It was something else."

Inside the tank, Shigaraki’s eyes snapped open.

They were not the chaotic, hateful eyes of Tomura. They were the ancient, calculating, predatory eyes of All For One.

Despite the breathing apparatus down his throat, a low, rumbling vibration emanated from the tank, projecting via telepathy into the Doctor's mind.

"The boy... Midoriya Izuku... he has found something beautiful."

Garaki flinched, stepping back. "Master? You're awake. Your body... it is severely compromised. We must focus on—"

"Forget the body," All For One’s voice echoed in the Doctor's skull, vibrating with an intense, euphoric greed. "Forget the heroes. Forget Japan. Did you see it, Doctor? The light on his arm?"

"I... I only saw the telemetry data, Master. The energy readings were impossible. They broke our scanners."

"It was infinite," All For One breathed, his mutilated face twisting into a hideous, scarred smile behind the glass. "I felt it when it struck me. It was not a Quirk. Quirks are the stagnant puddles of evolution. What the boy wields... it is the ocean. It is the fundamental code of the universe."

All For One’s consciousness expanded, feeling the distant, faint thrum of reality warping hundreds of miles away in U.A. High.

He had spent over a century trying to conquer a single society. He had obsessed over stealing his brother's power to rule the Earth. How small he had been. How unimaginative.

"I want it," All For One commanded, his will forcing Shigaraki’s broken body to twitch against the restraints of the tank. "I do not care how many Nomu we must expend. I do not care if we must burn every city on this pathetic rock to ash. I want that gauntlet."

He looked up toward the ceiling of the cavern, envisioning the cosmos beyond.

"With that power, I will not simply rule the world, Doctor. I will unmake it. And I will forge it anew, in my own image. A reality where I am the author of existence."

The dark master of villains closed his eyes, savoring the anticipation. Midoriya Izuku was holding a bomb he didn't understand, too constrained by his pathetic morals to use it. It was only a matter of time. The universe was waiting for its true master.

The U.A. underground medical facility was quiet, save for the mechanical whir of life support machines. In Room 104, Shota Aizawa sat on the edge of his bed, staring blankly at the far wall. His right leg ended in a heavily bandaged stump just below the knee. His right eye was gone, covered by a thick, sterile patch. He looked older than he ever had, hollowed out by the sheer, devastating cost of the Jaku City raid.

He was alive, but the underground hero Eraserhead was effectively dead.

A soft hiss announced the opening of the automatic door. Aizawa didn’t turn his head, assuming it was Recovery Girl or another nurse coming to adjust his pain medication. But the footsteps were too light, too hesitant.

"Mr. Aizawa?"

Aizawa shifted his singular, tired eye toward the door. Izuku Midoriya stood there. He was wearing standard U.A. sweatpants and a loose-fitting white T-shirt. His left arm was cast and in a sling. But it was his right arm that drew all the oxygen out of the room.

The arm was a biomechanical nightmare of charred, obsidian flesh and melted gunmetal. Fused seamlessly to the boy's hand and forearm was the remnants of Hatsume’s gauntlet, housing six luminescent stones that pulsed with a slow, rhythmic, terrifying heartbeat.

"Midoriya," Aizawa said, his voice sandpaper-rough. "You shouldn't be out of bed. The radiation readings on your arm alone..."

"The support course lined this shirt with lead and quirk-resistant fibers," Izuku interrupted softly, stepping fully into the room. The door hissed shut behind him. "It suppresses the ambient energy a little bit. Enough that I don't give everyone around me a sunburn."

Aizawa frowned, his gaze lingering on the heavy steel cuffs that were conspicuously absent from Izuku’s wrist. "You broke out of quarantine."

"I broke the cuffs," Izuku corrected quietly. "I didn't even mean to. I just... I wanted to see you. And the metal turned to dust when I pulled."

A heavy silence fell between the teacher and the student. Izuku walked closer, his emerald eyes locked onto Aizawa’s amputated leg. The guilt radiating from the boy was so thick Aizawa could practically taste it. It was the same guilt Midoriya always carried, only now, it was magnified by the literal power of a god resting on his knuckles.

"It wasn't your fault, problem child," Aizawa said, anticipating the apology. "I made my choice. I cut off my own leg to stop the Quirk-Destroying bullet from spreading. It was a tactical decision. You saved my life, and you saved everyone else's. Don't you dare pity me."

"I don't pity you," Izuku whispered. He stopped at the foot of the bed. The stones on his arm began to hum a little louder. A faint, emerald green light began to bleed through the charred cracks in his skin, matched by a deep, ruby red. "But I don't have to accept this."

Aizawa narrowed his eye. The air in the room suddenly felt incredibly dense, like the atmospheric pressure had doubled in a second. "Midoriya. What are you doing?"

"The doctors said your hero career is over," Izuku continued, his voice taking on a strange, dual resonance. It was Izuku speaking, but layered beneath his tone was something ancient, something that echoed like stone grinding against stone. "They said Eri’s horn hasn't stockpiled enough energy to Rewind you. By the time it does, the scar tissue will be permanent. You'll never fight again."

"That is the reality of our profession," Aizawa said sternly. "Stand down, Midoriya. The energy inside you is killing you. Don't agitate it."

"Reality," Izuku murmured. He raised his right hand. The Red Stone of Reality and the Green Stone of Time flared brilliantly, casting sharp, kaleidoscopic shadows across the sterile walls. "Reality is just... a suggestion now, Mr. Aizawa. I can see it. It looks like strings. All I have to do is pull."

"Midoriya, stop! That's an order!" Aizawa tried to stand, but his missing leg betrayed him, and he collapsed back onto the mattress.

Izuku didn't listen. The overwhelming, crushing weight of his guilt, combined with his hyper-empathetic nature, was a dangerous catalyst for the Infinity Stones. He couldn't bear to see his teacher broken. He wished it undone. And the stones obeyed.

Izuku clenched his right fist.

The world inverted.

Aizawa gasped as all sound vanished from the room. The color drained from everything, leaving the world in a stark, negative black-and-white, except for the blinding green and red light pouring from Izuku’s hand.

Aizawa looked down at his amputated leg. Dust and microscopic particles from the air began to swirl around the stump. But they weren't just forming matter; they were reversing time. Aizawa watched in absolute, paralyzed horror and awe as bone knit itself back together out of thin air. Muscle fibers wove around the bone like a time-lapse of a blooming flower, but in reverse. Blood vessels reconnected, skin stretched and sealed.

Simultaneously, a sharp, cooling sensation pierced Aizawa's right eye socket. The Reality Stone was taking the raw, temporal reversal and solidifying it into the present dimension, anchoring the past to the current timeline.

It took less than five seconds.

The negative filter shattered. Color and sound slammed back into the room.

Aizawa fell backward onto the bed, panting heavily. He reached up with a trembling hand and tore the eye patch away. He blinked. The fluorescent lights stung his right eye—an eye that hadn't been there ten seconds ago. He looked down. His leg was perfectly whole, resting on the linoleum floor. Not a prosthetic. Not a grafted limb. His leg.

"Midoriya..." Aizawa breathed, absolute shock rendering the seasoned pro speechless. "What... what did you just do?"

He looked up at his student.

Izuku didn't answer. He was frozen in place. The green and red stones on his gauntlet abruptly went dark.

A sickening crack echoed in the room. It sounded like a redwood tree snapping in half, but it came from inside Izuku’s chest.

Izuku’s eyes rolled back into his head. A torrent of pitch-black blood erupted from his mouth, splattering across the pristine white floor. He didn't stumble; he simply dropped, hitting the ground with a heavy, lifeless thud.

"Midoriya!" Aizawa roared, launching himself off the bed with both of his perfectly restored legs. He slid to his knees beside the boy.

Izuku’s skin was ice cold. His lips were blue. Aizawa pressed two fingers to Izuku’s neck.

Nothing. No pulse.

"No, no, no," Aizawa panicked, slamming his hands onto Izuku’s chest to begin compressions. "Don't do this, you idiot! Wake up!"

Inside the mindscape of One For All, the universe was burning.

Izuku was not standing. He was suspended in a void of blinding, agonizing white light, his spiritual form being ripped apart atom by atom. The pain was beyond human comprehension; it was the pain of a soul being unmade.

Below him, the Vestiges were in utter chaos. The spiritual realm was violently quaking. The six monoliths representing the Infinity Stones were shrieking, the sound akin to tearing metal.

“I told you!” Yoichi’s voice roared through the blinding storm, his avatar desperately clinging to the tether of the Time Stone to keep it from completely consuming Izuku. “The universe demands a toll! You pulled the thread, Izuku! Now reality is ripping you apart to pay for it!”

Izuku couldn't speak. He could only scream as his spiritual limbs began to dissolve into stardust. He had broken the fundamental laws of thermodynamics. He had created matter from nothing and reversed entropy. The universe was correcting the imbalance by erasing him.

Daigoro Banjo unleashed Blackwhip, the dark tendrils wrapping around Izuku’s dissolving form, trying to hold his soul together. “Pull him back! Funnel the backlash into the stockpiled energy!”

“It’s too much!” the Third User screamed. “The boy’s vessel is failing!”

Nana Shimura soared upward, her eyes filled with tears. She grabbed Izuku by the face, her spiritual hands burning as she touched him. “Izuku! Listen to me! You are a hero, not a deity! You cannot take the suffering of the world and wish it away! You have to endure it! Let go of the control! Let the stones rest!”

"I... I just wanted to help him..." Izuku’s thoughts broadcasted weakly, his form flickering.

“To play God is to accept the death of your humanity!” Yoichi yelled, pulling on the First User’s power. “We are going to force your heart to restart! But if you use them like this again, Izuku... there will be nothing left of you for us to save. You will cease to exist in every timeline!”

All eight past users of One For All surged their collective wills together, channeling the absolute maximum of their stockpiled power not into an attack, but into a singular, internal defibrillation.

In Room 104, Aizawa was halfway through his second round of CPR, screaming for a medic, when Izuku’s chest arched violently off the floor.

A massive surge of teal lightning, laced with cosmic purple, exploded from the boy’s body, throwing Aizawa backward.

Izuku gasped, his eyes flying open, glowing with residual energy before fading back to emerald green. He rolled onto his side, violently coughing up more blood, his body trembling uncontrollably. His heart pounded against his ribs like a jackhammer, furiously trying to compensate for the moments it had stopped.

Aizawa scrambled back to him, his hands hovering, terrified to touch the boy but desperate to help. "Midoriya. Look at me. Breathe."

Izuku looked up at Aizawa. The boy looked utterly broken. His skin was pale as a corpse, save for the blackened, glowing ruin of his right arm. Tears streamed through the blood on his face.

"I'm sorry," Izuku sobbed, clutching his chest. Every breath felt like he was inhaling razor blades. "I'm so sorry. It hurt... it hurt so much."

Aizawa looked down at his own restored hands, then at his restored leg. The sheer, terrifying magnitude of what Izuku possessed crashed over him. It wasn't just a powerful Quirk. It was a curse. Every time the boy performed a miracle, he paid for it with his own life.

"Don't you ever," Aizawa said, his voice trembling with a mixture of rage, awe, and profound sorrow, "do that again. Do you understand me? My leg is not worth your life."

Before Izuku could answer, the emergency klaxons of U.A. High began to blare.

It wasn't the standard intruder alarm. It was the deep, bass-heavy siren reserved for a national emergency. A Class-S threat.

The television monitor mounted in the corner of Aizawa’s room, previously displaying a muted news broadcast, suddenly cut to static. The static turned black. And then, an image appeared that made Aizawa's blood run cold, and Izuku's newly restarted heart skip a beat.

It was Shigaraki Tomura.

But he was wrong. His white hair was matted with blood. The left side of his face was heavily scarred, the skin pulled taut and burned. His body was wrapped in heavy medical braces, holding his shattered frame together. Yet, the eyes that stared out of the screen were lucid, calm, and dripping with an ancient, suffocating malice.

"Citizens of Japan," the voice of All For One spoke through his vessel, echoing across every television, radio, and smartphone screen in the country simultaneously. "Heroes. And most importantly... Midoriya Izuku."

Aizawa helped Izuku off the floor. Izuku leaned heavily against his teacher, clutching his chest, staring at the screen. The Yellow Stone on his hand began to pulse, and immediately, the faint cries of millions of terrified citizens watching the broadcast flooded into Izuku’s mind.

"A few days ago," All For One continued smoothly, "the heroes claimed a victory at Jaku City. They believe they have broken us. But they have merely opened the door to something grander."

The camera panned out.

The breath caught in Aizawa’s throat.

Shigaraki was standing on a makeshift precipice overlooking a massive, sunken crater. It looked like the ruins of a city, but the architecture was twisted, decayed, and reformed into a colossal, nightmarish amphitheater.

And filling the floor of that amphitheater, packed shoulder-to-shoulder, were thousands upon thousands of people. Men, women, children. Civilians. They were surrounded by thousands of High-End Nomu and the remaining loyalists of the Paranormal Liberation Front. The civilians were weeping, looking up at the cameras in absolute terror.

"I have relocated the populations of three neighboring prefectures," All For One said, the camera zooming back in on his scarred face. "Over one hundred thousand souls. The heroes were too busy licking their wounds to notice my little... evacuation."

He raised a single, trembling hand. Red and black lightning crackled across his fingertips.

"I am a patient man," All For One said softly. "But my patience has worn thin. I do not want One For All anymore, little brother. I want the stones."

Izuku gripped Aizawa’s arm tightly, his knuckles turning white.

"Midoriya Izuku," All For One’s eyes seemed to pierce straight through the screen, looking directly into Izuku’s soul. "You hold the universe on your right arm, yet you hide in a bunker like a frightened child. I will make this simple."

A digital clock appeared at the bottom of the screen, counting down from twelve hours.

"You have until sundown to come to the coordinates I am transmitting. You will come alone. You will surrender the gauntlet to me. If you do, I will let these people go. If you do not... or if you bring an army of heroes with you... I will activate a continent-wide decay wave. I will reduce every man, woman, and child in this arena, and the rest of Japan, to dust. You have the power to save them all, Izuku. The choice is yours."

The screen cut to black.

The klaxons continued to wail.

Izuku stood in the silence of the hospital room. The metallic hum of the stones on his arm seemed to grow louder, vibrating with a terrible, eager energy. They wanted the fight. They wanted to be unleashed.

"Midoriya," Aizawa said slowly, his restored eye locked on the boy. "We will formulate a plan. We will gather the Pros. Endeavor is awake, Hawks is—"

"No," Izuku interrupted. His voice was empty. The tears were gone, replaced by a hollow, terrifying resolve.

"What do you mean, 'no'?" Aizawa demanded.

Izuku looked at his blackened, cosmic right arm. "He wants me. If you send the Pros, he'll kill those people instantly. He has the Nomu. He has a decayed landscape. It's a slaughterhouse."

"You are not going alone!" Aizawa snapped, grabbing Izuku by the shoulders. "That is suicide! If he takes those stones from you, the world is over!"

"If I don't go, a hundred thousand people die today," Izuku said, looking up at Aizawa. His emerald eyes were piercing. "You told me once that I couldn't save people if I was dead. But you also told me that a hero's job is to risk their life to turn promises into reality. I have reality right here." He raised the gauntlet. "I have to do this."

Before Aizawa could use his Quirk to erase One For All, Izuku’s form flickered. The Space Stone pulsed blue, and Izuku simply vanished from the room, leaving Aizawa grasping at empty air.

Izuku reappeared in the empty Class 1-A locker room in the U.A. dorms.

He staggered, his body still protesting the near-death experience from minutes prior. He moved to his locker and opened it. His Gamma suit was ruined, shredded in Jaku. But sitting on the shelf was a spare—his Zeta suit, a slightly modified, darker version of his hero costume.

He stripped off the hospital shirt with his good hand and pulled the undersuit on. He couldn't fit the right sleeve over the massive, fused gauntlet. He took a pair of shears and cut the right sleeve completely off at the shoulder, leaving his charred, glowing arm exposed.

He stared at it in the mirror. It was hideous. It was beautiful. It was infinite.

“You cannot fight him at full strength,” the First User whispered in his mind. “If you use the stones in combat, the physical strain will kill you before you even reach him.”

"I know," Izuku muttered out loud.

He reached into his locker and pulled out a roll of heavy, quirk-resistant binding tape—the kind Aizawa used in his capture weapon. He began to wrap his right arm, starting from the elbow, winding it tightly down to his wrist, and then over the back of his hand.

He wrapped it thick, covering the charred skin and the metal. But he couldn't hide the stones. Even through layers of carbon-fiber tape, the six gems glowed brightly, casting their colorful light through the fabric like six angry, unblinking eyes.

He tied the bindings tight. He pulled on his boots, secured his belt, and pulled his respirator up over his neck.

He looked at his reflection. He didn't look like the cheerful, hopeful boy who had inherited All Might's smile. He looked like a weapon. He looked like a martyr.

Izuku turned and walked out of the locker room, heading toward the surface gates of U.A. High. He intended to walk past the barrier, activate the Space Stone, and teleport directly into All For One's arena. He would fight him alone. He would end this.

He pushed open the heavy steel doors leading to the main courtyard. The sun was beginning its descent, casting long, orange shadows across the U.A. grounds.

Izuku stopped dead in his tracks.

He wasn't alone.

Standing in the courtyard, blocking the path to the main gates, was Class 1-A.

All nineteen of them.

They were battered. They were bruised. Many were covered in bandages. Todoroki had a nasty burn across his left arm. Iida was leaning on a crutch. Uraraka looked exhausted. But they were all in their hero costumes, their faces set with a grim, immovable determination.

Standing at the front of the group, his arms crossed over his heavily bandaged chest, was Bakugo Katsuki.

Izuku swallowed hard. The Yellow Stone on his arm pulsed. He didn't even need Danger Sense to feel the wall of stubborn willpower radiating from his classmates.

"Guys..." Izuku started, his voice wavering slightly. "What are you doing here?"

"What does it look like we're doing, you idiot?" Bakugo snarled, taking a step forward. "We're going to war."

"You can't," Izuku said, panic rising in his chest. "You saw the broadcast. He said if I bring an army, he'll kill the hostages."

"He said if you bring an army of heroes," Todoroki said evenly, stepping up beside Bakugo. His mismatched eyes were cold and focused. "We're just students. Technically, we're a loophole."

"This isn't a joke, Todoroki!" Izuku yelled, taking a step back. "You don't understand what he has! You don't understand what this is!" Izuku thrust his wrapped, glowing right arm forward. "If I lose control of this, or if he gets it... you'll all die! I have to do this alone!"

"Shut up, Deku!" Uraraka shouted.

Izuku flinched. Uraraka never shouted like that. She marched forward, stopping just a few feet away from him. Her brown eyes were blazing with a fierce, angry tears.

"You promised," Uraraka said, her voice shaking but intensely strong. "You promised in the hospital that you wouldn't do this alone anymore. Do you think we're just going to sit here and watch you walk to your death on a television screen?"

"Uraraka, I'm already dying!" Izuku blurted out, the truth tearing out of him.

The courtyard fell dead silent. The wind rustled through the trees.

Bakugo’s jaw clenched so hard Izuku thought his teeth might shatter. Todoroki’s eyes widened slightly. Uraraka covered her mouth with her hands, a choked sob escaping her lips.

Izuku looked down at his boots. "The energy... it's tearing my cells apart. The Vestiges are holding me together, but it's only temporary. If I use this power to fight him... I won't survive the feedback. I'm on a ticking clock. And I am willing to spend every second I have left to take him down. But I won't let him take you too. So please... move."

Nobody moved.

Instead, Iida Tenya limped forward, his crutch clicking against the pavement. He stopped in front of Izuku and, without a word, chopped his good hand down squarely onto the top of Izuku’s head.

"Ow!" Izuku yelped, stumbling back.

"You are a fool, Midoriya Izuku," Iida said strictly, pushing his glasses up his nose. "A brave, selfless, utterly ridiculous fool. If you are on a ticking clock, then your time is precious. Why would you want to spend it fighting alone?"

"Because..." Izuku stammered, rubbing his head.

"Listen to me, Nerd," Bakugo interrupted, his voice dropping the aggressive bark, settling into a low, deadly serious tone. He walked up to Izuku, standing toe-to-toe with him. He looked at the glowing bindings on Izuku’s arm, then up into Izuku’s eyes.

"You've got the power of a god on your arm," Bakugo said. "But you're still just a quirkless crybaby from Aldera Junior High underneath it all. You can't beat him alone. You never could. You need us to clear the path. You need us to get the civilians out of the way so you can take your shot. And if this is your last fight... then we're fighting it together."

Bakugo raised his good, left fist, holding it out between them.

"We are Class 1-A," Bakugo said, his red eyes burning. "We go together, or we don't go at all."

Izuku stared at Bakugo's fist. The Mind Stone pulsed gently on his hand. This time, it wasn't a cacophony of terror or pain. It was a harmonized, united chorus. He could hear the thoughts of everyone in the courtyard.

...I won't let him die... (Uraraka)

...we have his back... (Todoroki)

...protect our friend... (Iida)

...we win this together... (Bakugo)

The tears Izuku had been holding back finally broke. He cried, not out of fear or pain, but out of an overwhelming, crushing love for the people standing in front of him. He wasn't a god. He was just a boy with the greatest friends in the world.

He slowly raised his left hand and bumped his fist against Bakugo’s.

"Okay," Izuku whispered, wiping his eyes with his forearm. He looked at the nineteen students ready to march into hell with him. "Okay. We do this together."

"Good," Bakugo smirked, a feral, battle-hungry grin spreading across his face. "Now, how the hell are we getting there? We don't have time to wait for a jet."

Izuku took a deep breath. He let go of the fear of the stones, just for a moment, and embraced the power.

He stepped back and raised his wrapped right arm. "I'll get us there."

He closed his eyes and visualized the coordinates All For One had broadcasted. He pictured the decayed arena, the thousands of hostages, the twisted throne of the Demon Lord.

Beneath the heavy carbon-fiber bindings, the Blue Stone of Space ignited.

The air in the U.A. courtyard didn't just warp; it shattered. A massive, swirling vortex of cobalt blue energy tore open the fabric of reality directly in front of Class 1-A. It was a portal, ten meters high and twenty meters wide, stable and humming with immense cosmic power. Through the swirling blue event horizon, they could see the dark, ash-choked skies of All For One’s arena.

The sheer power of the portal whipped their hair and capes back. The sound was like a roaring waterfall.

Izuku turned to his class. The blue light reflected in his eyes.

"Stay behind me," Izuku commanded, his voice carrying that same, dual-toned resonance, but this time, it was laced with the absolute, unwavering authority of a true hero.

He turned and walked into the cosmic rift.

Bakugo grinned, sparking explosions in his left hand. "Let's go kill a god."

One by one, Class 1-A marched through the rift, leaving the safety of U.A. behind, stepping onto a battlefield where reality itself would be the casualty.

The sky above the nightmare arena was the color of a bruised corpse, choked with thick, swirling clouds of volcanic ash and decayed dust. The sun was entirely blotted out, leaving the landscape bathed in a sickly, twilight gloom.

This was no ordinary battlefield. It was a monument to All For One’s ego, carved out of the ruins of a sprawling metropolis. The villain had used a combination of Earth Flow, Decay, and telekinesis to warp the geography into a colossal, sunken amphitheater. The walls of this crater were jagged, imposing cliffs of fused steel and concrete, leaning inward like the teeth of a leviathan.

On the floor of this abyssal pit stood over a hundred thousand civilians.

They were packed together like cattle, shivering in the unnatural cold. Children clung to their parents, weeping silently. The air was thick with the scent of fear, sweat, and ozone. Surrounding them, forming a heavily armed, grotesque perimeter, were the remaining zealots of the Paranormal Liberation Front and over fifty High-End Nomus. The bio-engineered monsters twitched and drooled, their exposed brains pulsating, waiting for a single command to begin the slaughter.

At the far end of the arena, elevated on a jagged spire of black rock, sat a makeshift throne of melted iron.

Shigaraki Tomura lounged upon it. His body was a patchwork of surgical staples, heavy medical braces, and angry, burn-scarred flesh. But his posture was entirely relaxed, exuding the predatory confidence of a king waiting for his tribute. All For One drummed Shigaraki’s fingers against the armrest of the throne.

"The clock ticks, Ninth," the ancient villain murmured, his voice projected across the arena through a Quirk, vibrating in the chests of the terrified hostages. "The sun is hiding, but evening approaches. Will you let them die? Or will you embrace your destiny and bring me my prize?"

A High-End Nomu near the front of the hostage crowd let out a wet, rattling screech, stepping closer to a huddled family. A mother screamed, shielding her young son.

"Patience, my pets," All For One soothed, a cruel smile stretching across his scarred face. "We must give the hero time to realize his own hypocr—"

He didn't get to finish the sentence.

High above the center of the arena, the atmospheric pressure violently inverted. The heavy, ash-choked clouds were suddenly, violently sucked inward toward a singular point in the sky. The sound was deafening—a high-pitched cosmic whine that forced the villains to cover their ears and the Nomus to screech in agony.

A pinprick of brilliant, blinding cobalt blue appeared in the air.

In a fraction of a second, the pinprick exploded outward, tearing a colossal, twenty-meter-wide hole in the fabric of space. The event horizon of the portal swirled with nebulas of blue and violet light, a window into the infinite cosmos, utterly defying the bleak, gray reality of the arena.

The roaring winds died down. The entire amphitheater fell into a stunned, breathless silence.

From the depths of the cosmic rift, a solitary figure stepped out into the open air.

He didn't fall. He hovered, suspended by the localized manipulation of gravity and the Blue Stone of Space. Midoriya Izuku looked down upon the nightmare below. His dark Zeta suit absorbed the dim light, but his right arm—wrapped thickly in black carbon-fiber bindings—shone like a beacon. Through the heavy tape, six points of blinding, impossible color bled into the atmosphere, casting a prismatic glow over the hostages.

All For One stood up from his throne, his eyes widening. A tremor of absolute, euphoric greed shot through his borrowed body. "Beautiful..." he whispered. "You brought it to me."

But Izuku was not alone.

"Did you honestly think," Izuku’s voice boomed, carrying no artificial amplification, yet echoing with the authority of the universe itself, "that we would let you take another life?"

From the blue portal behind him, they descended.

Bakugo Katsuki blasted out of the rift, the explosions in his palms burning brighter than ever before, his face twisted into a mask of feral rage. Todoroki Shoto dropped beside him, a massive glacier of ice erupting from his right foot, forming a sweeping ramp that caught the rest of the class.

Iida, Uraraka, Kirishima, Yaoyorozu, Tokoyami, Asui, Ashido—all nineteen members of Class 1-A poured out of the portal, landing flawlessly between the terrified civilians and the perimeter of Nomus.

"Heroes!" a civilian in the front row screamed, tears of absolute relief erupting from his eyes. "It's U.A.! They came!"

All For One’s smile vanished, replaced by a cold, murderous scowl. "Fools. Arrogant, meddling children. I told you what would happen if you brought an army, Midoriya! I will turn them all to dust!"

"CLASS A!" Izuku roared, his voice cutting through the panic. "EXECUTE!"

The students didn't hesitate. They had planned this in the ten seconds before stepping through the portal. They knew they couldn't fight All For One. Their job was the civilians.

"ICE WALL: MAXIMUM OUTPUT!" Todoroki shouted, slamming his right hand into the earth. A colossal, towering barricade of absolute-zero ice erupted from the ground, forming a massive, glittering shield that completely separated the civilians from the Nomus and the villains.

"Get them moving!" Iida bellowed, his engine calves roaring to life as he blurred into the crowd, directing the panicked masses toward the rear of the arena. "Do not push! Follow my voice! Uraraka, clear the debris!"

Uraraka sprinted forward, tapping massive boulders and chunks of destroyed buildings, sending them floating into the air to create a clear evacuation path out of the crater.

"Kill them!" a commander of the Liberation Front shrieked, pointing his rifle at the ice wall. "Break the ice! Slaughter the hostages!"

Before the villains could fire, a massive explosion rocked their ranks. Bakugo descended like a meteor, spinning mid-air, unleashing a Howitzer Impact that sent two dozen armed villains flying into the cliff walls. "Who the hell are you looking at, extras?!" Bakugo roared, landing in a crouch, smoke pouring from his gauntlets. Kirishima dropped beside him, hardening his skin to maximum density, taking a barrage of bullets without flinching.

The war had begun. The perimeter erupted into chaos as Class 1-A engaged the Liberation Front.

But high above, suspended in the air, Izuku’s eyes were locked only on the throne.

All For One glared back. "You think these children can protect a hundred thousand sheep from my Nomu? You are naive, Midoriya. High-Ends! Tear down the ice! Butcher them all!"

Fifty High-End Nomus shrieked, their muscular legs coiling as they prepared to leap over the ice barricade.

"No," Izuku said softly.

He raised his heavily bound right hand. Underneath the black tape, the Red Stone of Reality pulsed with a vibrant, crimson light.

All For One sneered, raising his own hand, channeling the stolen Quirk of his vessel. "Decay!"

A localized, concentrated wave of gray, ashen energy shot from All For One’s hand, traveling across the ground at terrifying speed. It was aimed not at Izuku, but at the ice wall and the civilians behind it. Wherever the wave touched, the earth crumbled into nothingness. It was a wave of absolute death.

"DEKU!" Bakugo yelled, seeing the Decay wave approaching the barricade.

Izuku didn't panic. The Vestiges screamed in his mind, warning him of the physical toll, but Izuku ignored them. He focused on the wave of death, and he imposed his will upon reality itself.

The Red Stone flared, bleeding crimson light through the bindings.

Izuku snapped his fingers.

The sound was sharp, echoing across the battlefield.

The wave of Decay, just meters away from Todoroki’s ice wall, suddenly stopped. The gray, necrotic dust hung suspended in the air for a fraction of a second.

And then, it changed.

The gray dust bloomed. The necrotic energy shifted color, turning a soft, vibrant pink. The molecular structure of the decay wave was forcibly, fundamentally rewritten.

Instead of ash, millions upon millions of soft, fragrant cherry blossom petals erupted from the ground. The deadly wave washed over the ice wall, washing over Class 1-A, washing over the terrified civilians. But instead of turning them to dust, it showered them in a breathtaking, gentle storm of pink flowers. The scent of spring filled the apocalyptic arena.

Todoroki caught a petal in his hand. He stared at it, utterly bewildered. It was soft. It was real.

All For One staggered back, his red eyes wide with a mixture of horror and absolute, intoxicating lust. "You... you altered the physical state of my Quirk. You rewrote matter..."

Izuku floated lower, his green eyes burning with a terrifying resolve. A thin trail of blood leaked from his nose—the internal cost of using the Reality Stone—but he didn't wipe it away.

"I told you, Shigaraki," Izuku said, the dual-tones of his voice echoing. "I won't let you hurt anyone else."

"TEAR HIM APART!" All For One screamed, pointing a trembling finger at the hovering boy.

Ten High-End Nomus abandoned the ice wall, sprouting wings and jet-propulsion quirks, launching themselves into the sky directly at Izuku. They were fast—faster than sound. Their claws were extended, dripping with acid, their exposed brains pulsating with mindless rage.

Izuku didn't move. He didn't drop into a fighting stance. He just looked at the incoming monsters with profound sadness.

“They are victims, Izuku,” Nana Shimura’s voice whispered in his mind, her soul resonating with the stones. “They are trapped inside their own mutated bodies. End their suffering.”

As the first Nomu reached him, swinging a massive, bladed arm aimed at his neck, Izuku raised his right hand again.

This time, the Orange Stone of Soul ignited.

Blackwhip erupted from Izuku’s back. But it wasn't the usual dark, angry, crackling energy. Infused with the power of the Soul Stone, the tendrils of Blackwhip were a glowing, ethereal, translucent orange. They moved with a serene, liquid grace.

The orange tendrils shot forward, but they didn't strike the Nomus with concussive force. They phased entirely through the Nomus' physical armor, phasing through their mutated muscle and bone, and pierced directly into their chests.

The ten High-End Nomus froze in mid-air. Their agonizing screeches died in their throats.

Through the connection of the Soul Stone, Izuku felt them. He felt the twisted, agonized amalgamation of human souls trapped within the bio-engineered husks. He felt their endless pain, their confusion, their begging for release.

I've got you, Izuku projected into their minds, a wave of pure, absolute empathy and warmth. You don't have to fight anymore. You can rest.

The orange light flared brightly.

Slowly, gently, Izuku pulled his hand back.

The ethereal Blackwhip tendrils retracted, pulling something out of the Nomus. Ten distinct, glowing orbs of soft white light were drawn from the monsters' chests. The souls of the original humans, untethered from the corrupted flesh.

As the souls were pulled free, they hovered around Izuku for a moment, radiating a profound, silent gratitude. Then, like fireflies dissolving into the dawn, they faded away, passing on to whatever lay beyond.

Bereft of the souls that piloted them, the ten High-End Nomus simply shut down. Their eyes rolled back. Their wings went limp. They plummeted from the sky like stones, crashing harmlessly into the earth, dead before they even hit the ground.

Below, Bakugo blew away a squad of villains and looked up, panting. He watched the cherry blossoms fall around the lifeless bodies of the Nomu.

"He's not even fighting," Bakugo muttered, a cold sweat breaking out on the back of his neck. "He's just... editing the world."

All For One was hyperventilating on his throne. His mind, vast and calculating, was struggling to comprehend the sheer scale of the power on display. The boy wasn't using brute force. He was using metaphysical supremacy. If he engaged Midoriya in a contest of pure power, he would lose. The Power and Space stones alone could shatter the planet.

He is a god, All For One thought, his teeth grinding together in Shigaraki’s jaw. But he has the heart of a mortal. He has weaknesses. Attachments.

All For One’s red eyes snapped down to the battlefield below. He scanned the U.A. students fighting fiercely to protect the civilians. He spotted the explosion boy, Bakugo Katsuki. He spotted the gravity girl, Uraraka Ochaco.

A wicked, serpentine smile spread across the villain’s face.

"Let us test the limits of your divinity, Midoriya," All For One whispered.

He slammed his hands onto the armrests of his throne. Black tendrils of Quirk energy exploded from his back, plugging directly into the stone of the arena. He activated a combination of Quirks he had been saving: Spatial Distortion, Target Lock, and Multi-Strike.

From the shadows of the battlefield, directly behind Bakugo and Uraraka—who were fifty yards apart from each other—the air warped.

Two massive, jagged spikes of compressed, super-dense black iron erupted from the spatial tears, moving at Mach 3, aimed directly at their backs. It was an instant kill shot. There was no time to dodge. There was no time for Danger Sense to warn them.

Izuku felt the shift in reality. The Mind Stone flared, instantly alerting him to the terminal threat aimed at the two people he loved most in the world.

Panic, raw and human, overrode the calm of the stones.

“NO!” Izuku screamed.

He didn't have time to use Space to teleport them. He didn't have time to use Reality to change the spikes. He needed to stop the inevitable.

Izuku thrust his right hand out. The Green Stone of Time, nestled on his thumb joint, exploded with a blinding, emerald radiance.

"STOP!" Izuku roared.

The universe obeyed.

A massive dome of green, chronal energy expanded outward from Izuku, enveloping the entire arena.

Time froze.

The cherry blossom petals hung perfectly still in mid-air. Bakugo was frozen mid-shout, sweat suspended above his brow. Uraraka was frozen mid-stride.

And inches from their spines, the black iron spikes were halted, completely immobile.

Izuku hung in the sky, panting heavily. The silence was absolute. He had done it. He had paused reality.

But the cost was immediate and horrific.

Inside his body, Izuku’s cells began to rupture. The human body was not designed to exist outside the flow of time. His heart seized, fluttering violently. Blood burst from his tear ducts, streaming down his cheeks in thick red lines. The bones in his right arm cracked loudly under the bindings, fracturing into splinters as the Time Stone drew energy directly from his marrow.

“Izuku, you cannot hold this!” Yoichi screamed in the mindscape, the Vestiges violently throwing all of One For All’s energy into repairing Izuku’s failing organs. “Three seconds! You have three seconds before your heart explodes!”

Izuku knew it. He gritted his teeth, tasting copper, and engaged the Space Stone. He would teleport down, grab Bakugo and Uraraka, and move them out of the way.

He blinked down to the ground, appearing between the two frozen spikes.

He reached out to grab Bakugo’s collar.

But as his hand neared his friend, a voice whispered directly into his ear.

"Got you."

Izuku’s eyes widened in absolute horror.

Time was frozen. Nothing should be able to move.

But All For One was moving.

The villain had prepared for this. Decades ago, he had stolen a Quirk called Chronal Anchor—a useless, hyper-specific mutation that allowed a person's consciousness to remain aware during timeskips or temporal distortions. Combined with a spatial warping Quirk, All For One had forced his physical body to move a fraction of an inch per second within the frozen time.

It was agonizingly slow for the villain, tearing his muscles apart, but he only needed to move his arm.

All For One was standing directly behind Izuku, cloaked in spatial distortion.

Before Izuku could react, before Danger Sense could penetrate the time-freeze, All For One’s hand struck like a viper.

He didn't aim for Izuku’s neck. He didn't aim for his heart.

He aimed for the glowing bindings on the back of Izuku’s right hand.

All For One’s fingers, coated in a concentrated point of Decay and Spatial Rend, pierced through the carbon-fiber tape. The villain’s fingers grasped the glowing Red Stone of Reality.

With a sickening crunch, All For One violently ripped the stone out of its setting in the melted metal gauntlet.

"GAAAAAH!" Izuku shrieked.

The severance of the stone was like having a piece of his soul amputated without anesthesia. The feedback loop of the incomplete circuit shattered the time-freeze.

Time violently resumed.

The green dome shattered like glass.

The black iron spikes resumed their trajectory. But in the fraction of a second that time had restarted, Izuku’s involuntary scream and the burst of cosmic feedback from his arm created a shockwave that threw Bakugo and Uraraka off their feet, narrowly avoiding the spikes, which buried themselves into the earth where they had stood a microsecond before.

Izuku collapsed to his knees, clutching his bleeding, sparking right arm. The five remaining stones—Space, Time, Power, Mind, and Soul—flickered erratically, screaming in pain at the loss of their sibling.

All For One staggered backward, laughing maniacally, his right hand clutching the vibrant, pulsing Red Stone. The gem burned his flesh, searing his skin to the bone, but the villain didn't care. Super Regeneration healed the burns as fast as the stone caused them.

"I told you, boy!" All For One roared, holding the Reality Stone aloft. The crimson light bathed his scarred face in a demonic glow. "A god with attachments is just a hostage to his own heart! And now... now I have the pen to rewrite this world!"

Class 1-A, recovering from the shockwave, looked up in horror.

"Deku!" Bakugo yelled, scrambling to his feet. He saw Izuku on his knees, vomiting blood, clutching his gauntlet. He saw the missing gem.

"No..." Todoroki whispered, his blood running cold.

All For One didn't waste a single second. He closed his fist around the Reality Stone and imposed his dark, twisted will upon it.

"Let me show you true despair, heroes," All For One hissed. "Reality... breaks!"

The Red Stone unleashed a pulse of blinding crimson energy that swept across the entire arena like a tsunami.

The laws of physics wept. The world turned inside out.

The sky, previously gray with ash, violently inverted into a swirling vortex of blood red and pitch black. The clouds turned into writhing, massive tentacles of shadow that reached down toward the earth.

Todoroki’s massive ice wall didn't just melt; it screamed. The ice morphed into towering, jagged spikes of bone and rotting flesh, bleeding a black, viscous fluid onto the ground.

"What is happening?!" Kirishima yelled, stumbling as the ground beneath his feet turned soft.

The solid earth of the arena floor was transmuting. Dirt and concrete shifted, turning into a sprawling, fleshy membrane, complete with massive, blinking yellow eyes and gnashing teeth that snapped at the students' ankles. Gravity itself began to fluctuate wildly, sideways one second, upward the next, throwing the U.A. students into absolute disarray.

"The civilians!" Iida screamed, floating sideways, trying desperately to grab a screaming child as gravity pulled them toward the jagged cliff walls.

The cliff walls themselves were coming alive. The fused steel and rock morphed into massive, gargoyle-like faces that spewed torrents of green fire down upon the battlefield.

It was a hellscape. A living, breathing nightmare drawn directly from the darkest, most depraved corners of All For One’s mind, made real by the power of the stone.

"Look around, Midoriya!" All For One’s voice boomed from everywhere at once, echoing from the fleshy walls and the screaming bone-spikes. The villain began to rise into the air, the Red Stone embedded in his palm, radiating terrifying power. "Your friends are sinking! The innocents are burning! This is what happens when mortals play with infinity! Surrender the rest of the gauntlet, or I will merge them all into the bedrock!"

Izuku was on his hands and knees on the fleshy ground. His body was failing. The pain of the severed connection was causing the five remaining stones to violently clash within his biological circuit. Purple, blue, green, yellow, and orange lightning arced off his body uncontrollably, scorching the nightmare terrain around him.

He looked up through the blood and tears.

He saw Uraraka floating helplessly, desperately trying to keep civilians from falling into a pit of gnashing teeth that had just opened in the floor.

He saw Bakugo, bleeding, blasting his way through a horde of Nomus that had been transmuted into horrifying, spider-like monstrosities, screaming Izuku’s name.

He saw a world ending.

Inside his mind, the Vestiges were silent. They had no answers. They were using every ounce of One For All just to keep Izuku’s heart beating.

“I... I failed,” Izuku thought, the despair threatening to drown him. “I tried to be careful. I tried to use them gently. And he took it.”

“Izuku.”

The voice was singular, deep, and resonated with the force of a thousand suns. It didn't come from the Vestiges.

It came from the Purple Stone on his knuckle.

Izuku gasped. The Power Stone was speaking to him. Not with words, but with a feeling. A primal, absolute demand.

You hold the hammer, the feeling conveyed, raw and violent. Stop trying to weave. Smash.

Izuku looked down at his left arm. It was broken, hanging limply by his side in its cast, utterly useless from a previous battle.

He looked at his right arm, encased in the gauntlet, holding the remaining five stones.

He couldn't use the stones on his right arm delicately anymore. The circuit was broken. If he tried to use Time or Space again, the feedback would blow him in half.

He needed to end this. He couldn't play defensively. He couldn't play God.

He had to play the hero.

"Kacchan," Izuku wheezed, pushing himself up onto one knee.

Bakugo, thirty yards away, heard him over the roaring nightmare. He blew away a spider-Nomu and looked at Izuku.

"GET DOWN!" Izuku roared, his voice tearing his vocal cords.

Bakugo didn't hesitate. He grabbed Uraraka out of the air, tackled Iida, and screamed at the rest of the class. "GET ON THE GROUND! NOW!"

Class 1-A hit the fleshy, screaming deck, covering their heads.

All For One looked down, laughing. "What will you do, boy? You are broken! You are out of time!"

"I don't need time," Izuku whispered, his eyes blazing with a furious, toxic green light.

He stood up.

He raised his right arm, the gauntlet aiming directly at All For One. But he didn't channel the energy out of the gauntlet.

He channeled it inward.

"One For All..." Izuku muttered. "One Million Percent."

The teal lightning of his Quirk erupted, tearing his Zeta suit to shreds. But he didn't stop there.

"POWER STONE..." Izuku screamed, his voice cracking the sky.

The Purple Stone on his right knuckle flared with a terrifying, blinding violet light. Izuku used the raw, unadulterated power of the stone and forcibly routed it through his own body, across his chest, and directly into his broken left arm.

The cast on his left arm exploded into dust. The fractured bones instantly pulverized, the muscles shredded. But the cosmic, violet energy replaced them, holding the limb together by sheer, impossible kinetic force. His left arm bulged, glowing a blinding, incandescent purple, laced with emerald lightning.

The pain was beyond agonizing. It was the feeling of his soul being set on fire. But Izuku embraced it.

He planted his feet on the fleshy ground, which hardened instantly under the sheer gravity of his stance.

He drew his left arm back.

All For One stopped laughing. The Reality Stone in his hand pulsed, warning him of the incoming, unquantifiable threat. The villain raised the red gem, erecting fifty layers of reality-warped shields—walls of diamond, shields of pure energy, barriers of warped space.

"You cannot break reality!" All For One screamed, his voice laced with genuine terror for the first time in a century.

"I'm not going to break it," Izuku roared, his eyes glowing pure violet. "I'm going to smash it!"

Izuku thrust his left arm forward.

"UNITED STATES... OF SMASH!!!"

It wasn't a punch. It was an extinction-level event.

A beam of pure, violet kinetic energy, wrapped in the teal lightning of One For All, erupted from Izuku’s left fist.

The beam hit the fifty layers of All For One’s reality shields.

The shields didn't shatter. They ceased to exist.

The sheer, overwhelming force of the Power Stone, amplified by the stockpiled energy of eight generations of heroes, completely bypassed the rules of reality. It was a force so absolute that the universe simply stepped aside to let it pass.

The violet beam engulfed All For One.

The villain shrieked as the cosmic force tore through Shigaraki’s bio-engineered body. The flesh melted off his bones, the bones pulverized to dust. The right arm, holding the Reality Stone, was instantly severed by the kinetic pressure.

The beam continued upward, tearing through the nightmare sky, punching a hole through the atmosphere, and blowing a visible chunk out of the moon in orbit.

The shockwave that followed flattened the entire arena. The fleshy ground turned to glass. The screaming bone-spikes were atomized. The nightmare illusion was shattered, forcibly overwritten by the sheer dominance of the Power Stone.

The sky instantly snapped back to normal. The air rushed back in to fill the vacuum.

Izuku stood frozen in his punching stance. His left arm was completely gone below the elbow, vaporized by the energy he had just channeled. His body was smoking, charred, and broken.

He fell forward, hitting the glass floor hard.

A few feet away from him, rolling across the smooth surface, was the Red Stone of Reality, severed from All For One’s grasp.

And descending from the sky, a grotesque, charred husk of a man, missing an arm and half his face, crashed onto the ground. All For One was barely alive, his regeneration quirk desperately, futilely trying to knit his vaporized flesh back together.

The war was over.

But as Izuku dragged his bleeding, broken body across the glass toward the glowing red gem, the remaining five stones on his right arm began to whine with a high-pitched, terminal frequency. The feedback loop was reaching critical mass.

He had reclaimed the stone. He had won the battle.

But as his fingers brushed against the crimson gem, Izuku Midoriya knew, with absolute certainty, that he was about to die.
