What If Deku Had an Overpowered Gallimimus Quirk for Lightning Sprint Evasion

All men are not created equal.

This was the harsh, uncompromising truth that Izuku Midoriya learned at the tender age of four. In a world where eighty percent of the global population possessed some kind of uncanny, supernatural ability known as a "Quirk," society had been completely restructured around the extraordinary. Men could breathe fire, women could manipulate gravity, and children could sprout wings of glittering steel.

In this world, power was the ultimate currency, and biology was destiny.

For the first four years of his life, Izuku Midoriya believed his destiny was to be just like his idol, the Symbol of Peace, All Might. He would laugh fearlessly in the face of danger, save everyone with a smile, and stand as an immovable pillar of justice. But biology, it seemed, had a very different sense of humor.

It began on a completely unremarkable Tuesday. Izuku was sitting in the sterile, white-walled examination room of a local Musutafu pediatrics clinic. His mother, Inko, sat nervously beside him, twisting the strap of her purse. Izuku was kicking his little, red-sneakered feet back and forth, clutching an All Might action figure in his chubby hands. He was late. Nearly all of his preschool classmates had already manifested their Quirks. Katsuki Bakugo, his best friend, was already creating firecrackers in the palms of his hands.

Dr. Tsubasa, a bald man with eccentric goggles, had just placed an X-ray on the light board. It was an image of Izuku’s foot.

"Well, Mrs. Midoriya, I have some interesting news," Dr. Tsubasa said, adjusting his glasses. "Usually, the presence of two joints in the pinky toe is a surefire indicator that a child will remain Quirkless. It represents an older, unevolved stage of human biology."

Inko’s breath hitched. Izuku stopped kicking his legs. The All Might figure in his hands suddenly felt very heavy.

"However," Dr. Tsubasa continued, his brow furrowing as he leaned closer to the X-ray. "Izuku only has one joint. He should possess a Quirk. In fact, his bloodwork shows a massive concentration of dormant Quirk Factors. But they aren't activating. It’s as if his body is waiting for… a catalyst."

"A catalyst?" Inko asked, her voice trembling with a mix of relief and anxiety. "What does that mean, Doctor?"

"It means—"

Dr. Tsubasa never finished his sentence.

Izuku suddenly gasped, dropping his action figure to the linoleum floor. A searing, white-hot pain shot up his calves, so intense that it stole the air from his tiny lungs. He squeezed his eyes shut, letting out a piercing shriek that rattled the medical instruments on the counter.

"Izuku!" Inko screamed, lunging out of her chair to grab him.

Before her hands could touch his shoulders, a deafening CRACK echoed through the small room, like the sound of a high-tension power line snapping. A violent surge of golden-green electricity erupted from Izuku’s small body. The raw static shockwave blew out the overhead fluorescent lights, plunging the room into darkness, save for the violent, strobing arcs of emerald lightning dancing across the walls.

Inko was thrown backward, landing hard on her hands and knees. The air was suddenly thick with the sharp, metallic tang of ozone.

"Doctor! What’s happening to him?!" Inko cried out in the flashing darkness.

Izuku’s screams turned into guttural sobs as his bones began to shift. It was a terrifying, violent metamorphosis. His sneakers tore open at the seams. The bones in his legs cracked, lengthened, and realigned. His knees seemed to invert, bending backward into a severe, digitigrade structure—the legs of a sprinter, of a predator. His pale skin hardened, rapidly giving way to a dense, overlapping armor of sleek, emerald-green scales that caught the arcing electricity.

From the base of his spine, a heavy, muscular appendage tore through his shorts, growing with terrifying speed until a long, perfectly balanced, scaly tail whipped through the air, smashing a glass cabinet to shards.

Then, just as suddenly as it began, the storm ceased.

The emergency backup lights flickered on, casting a dim, red glow over the room. Inko scrambled off the floor, her heart pounding against her ribs.

Izuku was no longer sitting on the examination table. He was crouched on the floor.

He looked small, terrified, and entirely different. His legs were massive compared to the rest of his torso, built with heavy, coiled, dinosaurian muscles, entirely encased in shimmering green scales. He stood on the balls of his clawed, three-toed feet, his heels held high off the ground. A long, thick tail twitched behind him, acting as a natural counterbalance. As he looked up at his mother, Inko gasped. His eyes—once a soft, forest green—were now slightly larger, the pupils vertically slit like a reptile's, practically glowing with residual static energy.

"Mommy...?" Izuku whimpered. As he shifted his weight, a small spark of green lightning jumped from his calf to the metal leg of the exam table. Zap.

Dr. Tsubasa slowly pulled himself up from behind his desk, his eyes wide behind his goggles. He looked at the shattered lights, the scorch marks on the linoleum, and the trembling, scaly child.

"Fascinating," the doctor whispered. "A dual-type mutation. A prehistoric mutant physical manifestation… combined with an emitter-class electrical output. It seems his leg muscles are so dense, and his fast-twitch fibers so extreme, that simple movement generates raw kinetic electricity. Mrs. Midoriya… your son is a living thunderbolt."

Inko didn't care about the science. She didn't care about the classifications. She rushed forward, uncaring of the static shocks that bit into her skin, and wrapped her arms around her crying son.

"It's okay, Izuku," she sobbed, burying her face into his unruly green curls. "It's okay. I'm here."

Izuku Midoriya was not Quirkless. He was a force of nature waiting to be unleashed.

The playground a week later was the staging ground for the first major shift in Izuku’s life.

News of his Quirk had spread like wildfire. The kids in his neighborhood, who had once pitied him, now stared with a mixture of awe and fear. Izuku wore custom-tailored shorts, provided by a specialty hero-support clothing brand Inko had desperately scraped together the money to buy. His long, scaled tail swept the sand behind him, leaving a smooth, snaking trail wherever he walked. He wore no shoes—shoes simply couldn't accommodate the massive, clawed, digitigrade structure of his new feet.

But Izuku was happy. He had a Quirk. He could be a hero.

Katsuki Bakugo, however, was not happy.

Katsuki had always been the apex predator of the playground. His Explosion Quirk was flashy, loud, and inherently violent. It demanded respect. It commanded fear. Katsuki was destined to be the best, and part of being the best meant standing above everyone else. Especially the timid, crying Izuku Midoriya.

"Hey, Deku!" Katsuki shouted, marching across the sandbox with two of his lackeys trailing behind him.

Izuku turned, his tail instinctively wrapping around his leg in a defensive posture. "Kacchan! Look, the swelling went down. I can finally walk properly!" Izuku beamed, taking a step forward. A tiny crackle of static popped off his toes.

Katsuki stopped, his crimson eyes glaring at the emerald scales on Izuku’s thick legs. They looked strong. Too strong. Katsuki hated it. He hated the way the other kids were looking at Izuku now—not with pity, but with curiosity.

"You look like a freak, Deku," Katsuki sneered, popping a small explosion in his right palm. Crack-bang! "Dinosaur legs? What a stupid, ugly Quirk. You think because you got some gross scales you're better than me now?"

Izuku took a step back, holding up his hands. "N-No! Kacchan, I never said that! I just—"

"You're just a pebble in my path!" Katsuki roared. His fragile childhood ego couldn't handle the shift in the hierarchy. He needed to prove, right here and now, that he was superior. Katsuki lunged forward, his right hand pulled back, intending to plant a localized, painful explosion squarely on Izuku’s chest.

It was a bullying tactic Katsuki had used before on other kids. But this time, something incredible happened.

As Katsuki moved, Izuku’s vertically slit pupils dilated.

Suddenly, to Izuku, the world seemed to sink into thick molasses. He could see the individual sparks igniting in Katsuki's sweat. He could see the trajectory of Katsuki's fist, the slight shift in his shoulders, the exact path the explosion would take. His brain, supercharged by the electrical impulses of his Quirk, processed the threat at a speed that defied human biology.

Izuku didn't think. He didn't even consciously decide to move.

His body acted on pure survival instinct. The dense muscles in his digitigrade legs coiled tighter than industrial springs.

Z-Z-Z-ZAP!

To Katsuki, and the rest of the children in the park, Izuku Midoriya simply vanished.

There was a deafening CRACK like a whip breaking the sound barrier. A blinding flash of golden-green lightning seared their retinas. A sudden, violent gust of wind kicked up the sand in the playground, blinding Katsuki’s lackeys. Katsuki's explosion went off, hitting nothing but empty air.

Katsuki stumbled forward, the momentum of his missed punch throwing him off balance. He blinked, the spots clearing from his vision. "What the...?"

"K-Kacchan?"

Katsuki whipped around. Izuku was standing ten feet behind him, panting heavily. The sand beneath Izuku's clawed feet was scorched black, fused into tiny clumps of glass from the intense heat of the static discharge. Emerald lightning was still violently arcing up and down Izuku’s scaly legs, his heavy tail twitching aggressively to stabilize his stance.

Izuku looked down at his legs, his eyes wide with utter shock. He hadn't just dodged. He had moved so fast he had essentially teleported.

The playground went dead silent.

Katsuki stared at the scorch marks, then at Izuku. The realization hit him like a physical blow. He hadn't hit Deku. He hadn't even come close.

"You..." Katsuki growled, his face twisting into a mask of pure, unadulterated fury. "Don't you run from me!"

Katsuki launched himself again, firing explosions from both hands to propel himself faster. "Die!" he screamed.

CRACK!

Another flash of green. Another gust of wind.

Izuku reappeared twenty feet to the left, standing atop the metal jungle gym. He hadn't climbed it; he had simply leaped, the explosive power of his thighs propelling him upward instantly.

"I-I'm not doing it on purpose!" Izuku cried out, gripping the metal bars. Because he was holding metal, the static charge in his body violently grounded itself, sending a shock through the entire structure.

Katsuki stood in the sand, his hands smoking, his chest heaving. For the first time in his life, Katsuki Bakugo felt something other than absolute superiority. He felt powerless. He was the king of the playground, armed with explosives, and he was fighting a ghost made of lightning.

The rivalry had not disappeared. It had merely mutated.

From that day forward, Katsuki’s bullying stopped being physical. It couldn't be. Over the next ten years, no matter how hard Katsuki tried, no matter how fast he propelled himself with his explosions, he literally could not lay a finger on Izuku Midoriya. Izuku's Quirk—officially registered as "Static Gallimimus"—granted him an evasive capability that was borderline god-like. His nervous system operated at the speed of lightning. When attacked, his body evaded automatically, turning him into an untouchable blur of prehistoric speed and concussive thunder.

Katsuki hated him for it. But beneath that hatred, buried deep under layers of explosive pride, was a simmering, infuriating respect.

Ten years passed.

The halls of Aldera Junior High were loud, chaotic, and entirely mundane. Izuku Midoriya, now fourteen years old, sat at his desk in the back of the classroom. He was a striking figure. While his torso and arms were that of a normal, somewhat scrawny teenager, his lower half was anything but.

He wore specialized, reinforced uniform pants, heavily modified to accommodate his massive, reverse-jointed legs and the thick, muscular tail that rested on the floor beside his desk. He wore no shoes, his three-toed, clawed feet resting on a grounding mat that the school had provided. He had to consume nearly 6,000 calories a day just to maintain the energy his legs burned while simply existing.

He was scribbling furiously in his notebook—Hero Analysis for the Future, Vol. 13. He was currently sketching a breakdown of Kamui Woods' arbor manipulation.

"So, as third-year students, it's time to start thinking seriously about your futures!" the homeroom teacher announced, slapping a stack of career aptitude papers on his desk. "But who am I kidding? You're all aiming for the hero course, right?!"

The class erupted into cheers, students showing off their minor Quirks—stretching necks, glowing hands, small telekinetic floating objects.

"Yes, yes, you all have wonderful Quirks," the teacher sighed. "But remember the rules, no Quirk usage in school."

"Hey, Teach! Don't lump me in with these bunch of losers!"

The class fell silent as Katsuki Bakugo kicked his feet up onto his desk, a cocky grin plastered on his face. "I'm the real deal. I've got an A on my mock tests, and I'm the only one here who's got a shot at U.A. High School. I'm gonna surpass All Might and become the top hero!"

The class groaned, though none dared to challenge him directly.

"Ah, yes, Bakugo, you're going for U.A., aren't you?" the teacher noted, adjusting his glasses. "Oh, Midoriya, you're applying for U.A. too, right?"

The room went dead silent. Every head slowly turned toward the back corner of the room.

Then, the murmurs started.

"Midoriya? U.A.?"

"I mean... his Quirk is crazy fast, but can he even fight?"

"All he does is run away."

"Yeah, he's like an untouchable coward."

Izuku kept his head down, his tail twitching nervously against the floorboards. The static in the room visibly increased, the hairs on the arms of the students sitting nearest to him standing straight up. He was used to this. Because his evasion was so absolute, and because he actively avoided hurting anyone with his electrical discharge, people assumed he was just a fast coward. A glorified track star.

BAM!

Katsuki slammed his palm onto Izuku's desk, unleashing a localized explosion that shattered the wood and sent Izuku's notebook flying into the air.

Or, he would have, if Izuku had still been sitting there.

Katsuki’s explosion blasted a hole through the wooden desk, filling the back of the classroom with thick, acrid smoke. But there was no scream of pain. There was only the sharp, crackling sound of ozone and the smell of burnt air.

The smoke cleared. Izuku was standing by the open window, a full fifteen feet away. He had snatched his notebook out of the air before it could be singed. His legs were sparking with residual green lightning, his slitted eyes fixed nervously on Katsuki.

"K-Kacchan, please don't break the school property," Izuku said, his voice mild, though his heart was pounding.

Katsuki’s eye twitched. The veins in his neck bulged. He hated it. He hated the way Izuku moved. He hadn't even seen him stand up. One millisecond he was there, the next, just a flash of green lightning and he was gone.

"You think you're slick, Deku?" Katsuki snarled, his palms smoking. "You think you can pass the U.A. entrance exam just by running away? The exam has robots! Villains! You can't just dodge forever! You're a freak with a flight response!"

"The exam tests hero aptitude, Kacchan," Izuku replied softly, carefully placing his notebook in his yellow backpack. "Evading attacks and rescuing people is hero work, too. I'm going to try. I have to."

Katsuki growled, turning his back. "Whatever. Just stay out of my way, lizard, before I fry your tail off."

The bell rang. Izuku let out a long breath, the static in the room dissipating. He swung his backpack over his shoulder. He didn't want to fight Katsuki. He never did. He just wanted to save people.

The walk home was a solitary affair. Izuku preferred to take the back routes, avoiding heavy crowds. His tail was heavy, and accidentally knocking into someone on the sidewalk usually resulted in him giving them a mild electric shock.

He walked under a large overpass, the concrete tunnel echoing with the rhythmic clack-clack-clack of his clawed, digitigrade feet against the pavement. He was lost in thought, muttering to himself about the logistics of the U.A. exam. Katsuki was right about one thing: dodging wouldn't destroy robots. He needed to figure out how to harness the kinetic electricity his legs generated into a viable offensive attack without blowing out his own knees.

He was so engrossed in his muttering that he almost missed the sound.

Schlorck. Blub. Squelch.

Izuku stopped. His kinetic vision flared, his pupils narrowing into thin vertical slits. He turned his head slowly.

Emerging from the manhole cover in the center of the tunnel was a monstrosity. It was a massive, undulating mass of dark green, sewage-smelling sludge. Two bulbous, manic eyes and a jagged mouth formed in the center of the liquid chaos.

"A medium-sized invisibility cloak," the Sludge Villain gurgled, its voice wet and guttural. "Perfect. A kid with some weird legs. You'll do nicely."

The villain lunged, a massive tendril of thick sludge shooting directly at Izuku’s face, intending to force its way down his throat and hollow him out.

Danger.

Izuku's nervous system bypassed his conscious thought.

Z-Z-Z-ZAP!

A concussive shockwave of air and sound violently erupted in the tunnel. The sludge tendril hit the concrete where Izuku had been standing a microsecond before, splattering uselessly.

"What the—?!" The Sludge Villain recoiled.

Izuku was suddenly clinging to the concrete wall of the tunnel, ten feet in the air. The grip strength of his three-toed claws allowed him to embed his feet directly into the cement. Golden-green lightning cascaded down his muscular legs, illuminating the dark tunnel.

"Whoa," the villain muttered. "You're a fast one, aren't ya? But you can't dodge forever in an enclosed space!"

The villain expanded, turning into a massive tidal wave of sludge, completely blocking the tunnel exits. It crashed forward, aiming to consume the entire width of the overpass.

Izuku took a deep breath. His heart was hammering. He pushed off the wall.

Lightning Sprint Evasion.

To the naked eye, Izuku simply ceased to exist.

He became a bouncing, ricocheting streak of brilliant green lightning. He moved so fast that the sheer wind pressure he generated created a localized cyclone within the tunnel. He bounced from the left wall, to the ceiling, to the right wall, and then sprinted directly through the center of the oncoming sludge wave.

He moved faster than the liquid could collapse on him. Furthermore, the intense static electricity discharging from his legs superheated the air around him. As he blew past the villain at Mach 1, the electrical heat instantly vaporized a massive chunk of the sludge, blowing a perfectly circular, smoking hole straight through the center of the villain's body.

Izuku skidded to a halt at the exit of the tunnel, his claws leaving deep gouges in the pavement. Steam rolled off his scales.

"Aaaarrgghhh!" the Sludge Villain screamed, splashing onto the floor, severely burned by the lightning and missing half its mass. "You little brat! I'll kill you!"

Before the villain could reform, the manhole cover suddenly blew completely off its hinges, flying into the air with immense force.

A massive, incredibly muscular figure rocketed out of the sewers, landing with a heavy, earth-shaking thud. He wore a white T-shirt and green cargo pants, but his sheer size and the massive, golden V-shaped bangs on his head were unmistakable.

"FEAR NOT, CITIZEN!" boomed a voice that resonated with absolute, unwavering confidence. "FOR I AM HERE!"

Izuku’s jaw dropped. The static around his legs died instantly. "A-All Might?!"

The Symbol of Peace turned his terrifyingly intense blue eyes toward the Sludge Villain. "TEXAS... SMASH!"

All Might threw a right hook. He didn't even make contact with the villain. The sheer, overwhelming air pressure generated by the punch created a windstorm so violent it swept through the tunnel like an F5 tornado. The remaining sludge was instantly blown apart, scattering into thousands of harmless droplets across the walls and ceiling.

Izuku covered his face, bracing himself against the gale-force wind with his heavy tail.

When the wind died down, All Might was already pulling two empty two-liter soda bottles from a grocery bag, efficiently sweeping up the incapacitated pieces of the villain.

Izuku was paralyzed. It wasn't fear. It was sheer, unadulterated awe. He was standing in the presence of God.

"WELL, THAT WAS A CLOSE ONE!" All Might laughed loudly, capping the second bottle and sliding it into his pocket. He turned to Izuku, his ever-present smile shining brightly. "THANK YOU FOR HOLDING HIM OFF, YOUNG MAN! THOUGH IT LOOKS LIKE YOU HANDLED YOURSELF QUITE WELL!" All Might glanced at the scorch marks and the vaporized section of the tunnel, a slight look of curiosity crossing his shadowed eyes.

All Might crouched down, preparing to leap. "NOW, I MUST BE OFF! THIS VILLAIN NEEDS TO BE DELIVERED TO THE POLICE!"

"Wait!" Izuku yelled, taking a step forward. "All Might, please! I have to ask you something!"

All Might paused, his knees still bent. He looked at the boy. He took in the massive, digitigrade, scaled legs. He saw the heavy tail. He saw a child with a profound mutation.

"MAKE IT QUICK, YOUNG MAN! A HERO'S TIME IS NEVER HIS OWN!"

Izuku swallowed hard. The question that had haunted him for ten years bubbled to the surface. People always called him a coward. Katsuki said he was just a flight response. Even with his speed, could he be a symbol?

"I... I have a Quirk that makes me fast," Izuku stammered, his hands curling into fists. "Really fast. But my instincts... when I'm attacked, my body just automatically runs away. I dodge. I evade. I can't take a hit. People tell me I'm untouchable, but they also say I'm just running from the fight."

Izuku looked up, his reptilian eyes filled with desperate hope. "Can someone who is a mutant... someone whose power is literally just running away... can someone like me ever become a hero who makes people feel safe? Like you?"

All Might looked at the boy. He felt a sudden, sharp twinge of pain in his left side—his time limit was rapidly approaching. He needed to leave, now.

But he saw the desperation in the boy's eyes. All Might sighed, his smile softening into something more serious.

"PRO HEROES ARE ALWAYS RISKING THEIR LIVES," All Might said, his voice deep and resonant. "EVASION IS A FANTASTIC SKILL. SURVIVAL IS KEY. BUT A HERO MUST ALSO BE WILLING TO STAND THEIR GROUND WHEN THERE IS NOWHERE LEFT TO RUN. IF YOU CAN ONLY DODGE, YOU CANNOT PROTECT THOSE BEHIND YOU."

All Might stood up straight. "IF YOUR BODY ONLY COMPELS YOU TO FLEE, THEN PERHAPS FRONTLINE HEROICS WILL BE EXTREMELY DIFFICULT. THERE IS NO SHAME IN BECOMING A RESCUE WORKER, OR A POLICE OFFICER. THEY ARE NOBLE PROFESSIONS. BUT TO BE A PRO HERO... YOU MUST BE ABLE TO FACE THE DANGER, NOT JUST AVOID IT."

With that, All Might bent his knees. "DREAM REALISTICALLY, YOUNG MAN!"

BOOM.

The concrete cracked under All Might's boots, and he launched himself into the sky, disappearing over the city skyline in a matter of seconds.

Izuku stood alone in the tunnel. The wind of All Might's departure rustled his curly hair.

If you can only dodge, you cannot protect those behind you.

Izuku looked down at his scaly legs. He clenched his teeth. All Might was right. What good was being untouchable if the villain just attacked the person standing behind you? He wasn't a hero. He was just a dinosaur that ran away from its predators.

Defeated, Izuku began the long walk home.

He didn't make it home.

Ten minutes later, as he was walking through the shopping district, a massive explosion rocked the city block. The ground shook violently, and thick plumes of black smoke billowed into the afternoon sky.

Izuku’s head snapped up. An explosion?

Before he could consciously stop himself, his legs twitched. Zap. In a flash of green lightning, he was sprinting toward the source of the noise, moving at a speed that left a gust of wind in his wake.

He arrived at the edge of Tatooin Shopping District in seconds. The scene was pure chaos.

A massive fire had broken out. Several buildings were heavily damaged, flames licking at the broken windows. A crowd of onlookers was held back by the police. Pro Heroes were on the scene, but they were doing absolutely nothing.

Death Arms was holding up a piece of falling rubble. Kamui Woods was complaining that he couldn't get close because of the fire. Mt. Lady was whining that she couldn't fit down the two-lane street.

"Why aren't the heroes doing anything?" a bystander muttered.

"Look!" another pointed. "The villain has a hostage! And the hostage has a strong Quirk. He's setting off explosions everywhere!"

Izuku pushed his way to the front of the crowd, his heavy tail knocking into a few people, drawing irritated glances. He looked down the alleyway.

His heart stopped.

It was the Sludge Villain. All Might must have dropped the bottles when he jumped.

But that wasn't the worst part. The villain had completely engulfed a middle school student. Only the student's face and arms were visible, thrashing wildly. The student was screaming, his palms desperately firing off massive explosions in every direction, feeding the fires around them.

It was Katsuki.

"I can't get in there!" Death Arms yelled, shielding his face from an explosion. "The kid is too frantic! We have to wait for someone with a suitable Quirk!"

Wait? Izuku thought, his mind racing. They're going to wait? Kacchan doesn't have time to wait! He's suffocating!

Izuku looked at Katsuki's face. The explosive boy's crimson eyes were wide with a terror Izuku had never seen before. Tears were pricking the corners of his eyes. He was drowning on dry land. His eyes met Izuku’s in the crowd.

It was a silent plea. Help me.

If your body only compels you to flee... you cannot protect those behind you.

All Might’s words echoed in his head.

Izuku’s breathing slowed. His kinetic vision activated, pushing his perception of time to an absolute crawl. The flames froze. The smoke hung in the air like dark cotton. The Pro Heroes looked like statues.

Izuku looked down at his legs.

He had spent his whole life letting his Quirk decide when he moved. His evasion was an automatic reflex, a survival instinct to run away from danger.

No, Izuku thought, his slitted eyes narrowing with a fierce, burning resolve. Not today. I'm not running away. I'm running toward him.

For the first time in his life, Izuku Midoriya took absolute, conscious control of his Quirk. He didn't wait for a threat to trigger his evasion. He forced the activation. He visualized the kinetic energy, the dense muscle fibers, the electrical buildup.

He dropped his yellow backpack.

He widened his stance, his heavy tail slamming into the asphalt to anchor him. He dug his thick, three-toed claws deeply into the street, cracking the pavement.

The air around him suddenly grew unbearably heavy. The smell of ozone was overpowering.

"Hey, kid! What are you doing?!" Death Arms yelled, moving in slow motion as he reached out toward Izuku. "Get back here!"

Izuku didn't hear him.

His emerald scales began to glow with a blinding, incandescent light. Golden-green electricity violently erupted from his calves and thighs, wrapping around him like a raging typhoon of plasma. The static charge was so immense that the hair of every person in the crowd stood straight up. The streetlights flickered and shattered under the electromagnetic pulse.

Izuku locked his eyes on the Sludge Villain.

Go.

BOOM!

It wasn't a sonic boom of an explosion; it was the sheer concussive force of breaking the sound barrier from a standstill.

The asphalt beneath Izuku’s feet entirely disintegrated, creating a massive crater. To the Pro Heroes, to the crowd, and to Katsuki, Izuku completely vanished. He was entirely imperceptible to the human eye.

All that remained was a violent, jagged streak of blinding green lightning tearing through the alleyway at Mach 1.

The wind pressure of his sudden acceleration instantly blew out the fires on the sides of the street.

In a fraction of a millisecond, Izuku crossed the sixty meters between the crowd and the villain. He didn't throw a punch. He didn't even use his hands.

Izuku executed a high-speed, sliding kick, driving his massive, thunder-charged legs directly into the center of the Sludge Villain's mass.

The impact was apocalyptic.

The kinetic energy of his speed, combined with the millions of volts of static electricity stored in his muscles, was released in a single, localized burst.

ZZZZZ-KRAK-OOOOOM!

A shockwave of air and lightning exploded outward. The windows of the surrounding buildings blew out, raining glass onto the street. The sludge making up the villain’s body didn't just scatter; it was instantly flash-fried by the electricity. A massive portion of the villain simply turned to ash and steam, vaporized on a molecular level by the sheer heat and kinetic force.

Katsuki, suddenly freed from his suffocating prison, fell forward, gasping for air.

He didn't hit the ground. Izuku caught him by the collar of his uniform.

The world sped back up to normal time.

The crowd gasped. The heroes stood frozen in shock.

Where the towering Sludge Villain had been standing a microsecond before, there was only a massive, smoking crater in the street. The villain was gone, reduced to a few twitching, burnt puddles of goo.

In the center of the crater stood Izuku Midoriya. He was holding Katsuki up with one hand. Steam was rolling in thick sheets off Izuku's emerald scales. His muscular legs were trembling slightly, small arcs of residual green lightning popping off his claws and grounding into the scorched earth. His tail swished behind him, leaving a trail in the ash.

Katsuki coughed violently, hacking up sludge, before looking up. His crimson eyes met Izuku’s glowing, slitted pupils.

"D-Deku?" Katsuki whispered, his voice hoarse.

Izuku gave him a shaky, entirely exhausted smile. "You looked... like you needed saving, Kacchan."

Total silence gripped the alleyway. And then, the crowd erupted into deafening cheers.

"Did you see that?!"

"Who is that kid?!"

"He moved faster than I could blink! And that lightning!"

"He took out the villain in one hit without even throwing a punch!"

The Pro Heroes finally snapped out of their daze and rushed forward, securing the remaining puddles of the villain.

After checking that Katsuki was uninjured, the heroes turned their attention to Izuku. To his surprise, they weren't praising him. Kamui Woods and Death Arms began to loudly scold him.

"What were you thinking, kid?!" Death Arms yelled, though his eyes kept darting nervously to Izuku's heavily muscled legs. "That was incredibly reckless! You could have been killed, or you could have killed the hostage with that kind of electrical discharge! Leave it to the pros next time!"

Izuku just bowed his head, his tail dropping submissively to the floor. "I'm sorry. I just... my legs moved on their own."

It was a lie, and he knew it. He had chosen to move.

Meanwhile, a few feet away, Katsuki was being praised by the medics for his tough Quirk and endurance. But Katsuki wasn't listening. He was staring at Izuku.

The fury that normally boiled in Katsuki’s veins was gone. It was replaced by something far more complex. He remembered the feeling of being trapped. He remembered the realization that the Pro Heroes were useless. He remembered accepting death.

And then, he remembered the green lightning.

Katsuki gritted his teeth, turning his head away. He didn't run away. The coward didn't run away.

The situation was eventually resolved. The villain was collected, Katsuki was cleared, and Izuku was given a stern warning about unauthorized Quirk usage before being allowed to leave.

As Izuku walked away from the scene, his tail dragging slightly from exhaustion, he didn't notice the tall, skeletal man hiding in the alleyway, watching him intently.

Toshinori Yagi, the true form of All Might, stood in the shadows, his hands clenched tightly by his sides. Blood leaked from the corner of his mouth, but his blue eyes were wide with utter astonishment.

He had seen it all. He had seen the heroes stand by helplessly. He had seen his own failure to act due to his time limit.

But most importantly, he had seen the boy.

He remembered what he had told the kid in the tunnel. If you can only dodge, you cannot protect those behind you.

The boy had proven him spectacularly wrong. He had taken a Quirk designed purely for flight and evasion, and weaponized it through sheer, unadulterated willpower. He hadn't just dodged; he had used his speed to obliterate the threat entirely, moving faster than All Might in his prime.

"I told him to dream realistically," Toshinori whispered to himself, a small, self-deprecating smile forming on his lips. "And he showed me a miracle."

Toshinori coughed into a handkerchief, his eyes tracking Izuku's retreating form down the street.

The boy already possessed a Quirk that made him functionally invincible to physical attacks. He had speed that rivaled the greatest speedsters on the globe, and the raw destructive power of a thunderstorm packed into his legs.

He didn't need One For All. He was already an apex predator. He was a force of nature.

"Izuku Midoriya," Toshinori murmured, committing the name he had heard the explosive boy yell to memory. "You don't need my power. But you certainly have the heart of a true hero."

Toshinori stepped out of the alleyway, making a decision. He would not offer this boy his Quirk. The boy didn't need it. But he did need a mentor. Someone to teach him how to navigate the world of heroes. Someone to ensure that this terrifyingly powerful boy stayed on the path of light.

The Symbol of Peace looked up at the setting sun, a new hope blossoming in his chest.

The prehistoric spark had been ignited. And it was going to change the world.

The sea breeze over Dagobah Municipal Beach Park carried the pungent scent of rust, saltwater, and rotting kelp. For years, the beach had served as an illegal dumping ground, a monument to societal neglect, piled high with broken refrigerators, crushed cars, and shattered electronics.

But at 5:00 AM on a brisk October morning, the beach was not a junkyard. It was a proving ground.

Izuku Midoriya stood at the edge of the water, his bare, three-toed, clawed feet sinking slightly into the damp sand. He wore a simple white tank top and heavily modified compression shorts. His massive, digitigrade legs—thick with coiled, dinosaurian muscle and covered in sleek, emerald-green scales—were trembling slightly, not from fatigue, but from raw, barely contained kinetic energy. His heavy, scaled tail swept back and forth behind him, carving deep grooves into the sand.

Standing a few yards away, bundled in an oversized trench coat, was Toshinori Yagi. The skeletal man held a steaming thermos of black coffee, watching the boy with sharp, calculating blue eyes.

True to his silent promise in the alleyway months ago, All Might had tracked Izuku down. He hadn’t offered the boy a Quirk—Izuku’s biological mutation was already pushing the absolute limits of human physiology—but he had offered him something just as valuable: a mentor. Toshinori understood that a Quirk with such overwhelming speed and destructive capability required unparalleled discipline. If Izuku didn't learn how to control his momentum, he wouldn't just fail to be a hero; he would tear his own body apart.

"Your straight-line acceleration is already beyond a pro level, Young Midoriya," Toshinori called out over the crashing waves. "But straight lines are predictable. If you run at Mach 1 in a straight line, a smart villain with an area-of-effect Quirk just has to put a wall in front of you, and you’ll splatter yourself against it. You need to master the turn."

Izuku nodded, his slitted, reptilian pupils dilating as he focused. "Right. The tail."

"Exactly," Toshinori said, pointing a bony finger. "Your mutation gave you that tail for a reason. It is a biological counterbalance, a rudder. When you run, your legs generate a massive static charge. If you try to turn sharply while maintaining that speed, the centrifugal force will snap your ankles. You must use the tail to shift your center of gravity instantly. Whip it in the opposite direction of your turn, and ground the static charge through the turn. Let's see it. Target is the rusted pickup truck, then a ninety-degree pivot to the pile of washing machines."

Izuku took a deep breath. He crouched low, dropping his chest almost parallel to the sand. His heavy tail lifted off the ground, held rigidly straight.

He didn't need to trigger a flight response anymore. Over the last six months, Toshinori had painstakingly taught Izuku how to mentally simulate the adrenaline of a threat to activate his Quirk on command.

Izuku visualized a threat. He visualized the Sludge Villain.

Crack.

The sand beneath his clawed feet suddenly crystallized into glass as a surge of golden-green lightning erupted from his calves. His dense fast-twitch muscles fired.

Boom.

Izuku vanished. A concussive shockwave kicked up a localized sandstorm, forcing Toshinori to shield his face with his arm.

To Izuku, the world stretched and warped. The roar of the ocean faded into a low, distorted hum. The rusted pickup truck, sixty meters away, seemed to crawl toward him. He felt the terrifying buildup of static electricity pooling in his thighs—the kinetic energy crying out to be released.

He reached the truck in a fraction of a second. Now. Turn.

Izuku slammed his left foot down, his three massive claws digging deeply into the sand. Simultaneously, he violently whipped his heavy tail to the right, using its massive weight to instantly arrest his forward momentum and shift his center of gravity leftward.

The physics were brutal. The sheer friction of his scales against the air, combined with the sudden redirection of kinetic energy, resulted in a deafening screech, like two freight trains colliding.

A massive arc of green lightning discharged from his pivoting foot, blasting a crater in the sand. Izuku made the ninety-degree turn without losing a single fraction of his speed. He was a ricocheting bolt of plasma.

He reached the pile of washing machines. Instead of stopping, he channeled the built-up static charge entirely into his right leg.

Thunder-Kick!

Izuku leaped, spinning mid-air, and drove his right heel into the center of the metal pile. He didn't just kick the machines; he detonated the stored kinetic electricity upon impact.

KA-THOOOOOM!

A blinding flash of emerald light illuminated the predawn sky. The washing machines didn't just dent—they exploded. Shards of rusted metal and fried circuitry rained down across the beach, scattered by a shockwave of displaced air.

Izuku landed gracefully on the balls of his feet, his tail instantly dropping to perfectly balance his landing. Steam hissed from his scales, mixing with the cool morning air. He panted heavily, looking back at his mentor.

Toshinori lowered his arm, his jaw hanging slightly slack. He looked at the glassed sand, the crater, and the obliterated appliances.

"Holy... Toledo," Toshinori muttered, forgetting his usual bravado. He coughed into his hand, composing himself. "EXCELLENT, YOUNG MIDORIYA! YOUR MANEUVERABILITY HAS INCREASED TENFOLD! THE WAY YOU HARNESS THE STATIC BUILDUP INTO BLUNT-FORCE TRAUMA IS... WELL, IT'S TERRIFYING. BUT EFFECTIVE!"

Izuku smiled, though his legs were trembling from the exertion. "It burns, All Might. If I hold the charge in my legs for more than five seconds without releasing it in a Thunder-Kick or grounding it out, it feels like my muscles are going to melt."

"A natural limiter," Toshinori noted, walking closer. "Your body acts as a battery, but it has a maximum capacitance. That is why your fighting style must be decisive. You are not a brawler. You are a lightning strike. In and out before the enemy can even process they've been hit."

Toshinori checked his watch. "Well, my boy. Today is the day. The U.A. Entrance Exam. You have the raw power, the speed, and now, the control. Show them the hero you are meant to be."

Izuku looked down at his clawed, digitigrade feet, sparking with residual energy. He clenched his fists. "I won't let you down."

The towering H-shaped architecture of U.A. High School gleamed in the morning sun.

Izuku stood at the front gates, wearing his specialized junior high uniform pants. His heavy tail swished gently behind him, rhythmic and calm. The anxiety that had plagued him for the first fourteen years of his life was gone. He knew what his body was capable of.

"Out of my way, Deku."

Izuku didn't flinch. He casually stepped to the side, his tail smoothly wrapping around his leg to allow Katsuki Bakugo to pass. Katsuki didn't sneer, nor did he pop off a warning explosion. He merely glared at Izuku’s emerald-scaled legs, a muscle twitching in his jaw. Ever since the Sludge Villain incident, their dynamic had shifted into a tense, unspoken cold war. Katsuki knew Izuku was no longer a coward, which somehow infuriated him even more.

As Izuku walked up the main path, a girl with a brown bob tripped over a loose paving stone just ahead of him. She was going down face-first.

Izuku’s kinetic vision flared. Time slowed.

He didn't even need to use his Quirk’s full activation. He simply engaged his fast-twitch muscles for a single step. Zip.

In the blink of an eye, Izuku bridged the ten-foot gap. He gently placed his hand on the front of the girl's shoulder, stopping her fall entirely before she even realized she had lost her balance.

The girl blinked, looking down at the ground, and then up at Izuku, who was suddenly standing right beside her.

"Whoa!" she gasped, her round face breaking into a bright blush. "You moved so fast I didn't even see you! Thank you! I was about to use my Quirk, but you totally saved me!"

Izuku smiled politely, offering a small bow, his tail lifting slightly. "It's no problem at all. Good luck on the exam."

He walked away, leaving Ochaco Uraraka staring after him in mild bewilderment, rubbing her eyes as if to make sure he wasn't a hallucination.

Inside the massive auditorium, Pro Hero Present Mic was failing to hype up the tense crowd of examinees.

"EVERYBODY SAY HEYYY!" Mic screamed, leaning so far back he was almost parallel to the floor.

Silence.

"Tough crowd! Alright, listeners, let's get down to the nitty-gritty! You'll be conducting ten-minute mock urban battles in different testing centers! You will face three types of villain bots, worth one, two, and three points respectively! Use your Quirks, destroy the bots, and rack up the points!"

Suddenly, a tall boy with glasses and a rigidly straight posture stood up, pointing aggressively at the stage. "Excuse me! On the printout, there are four types of villains! If this is a misprint, U.A., the top hero academy in Japan, should be ashamed!" The boy then spun around, pointing directly at Izuku, who was sitting three rows back. "And you! The one with the tail! You've been tapping your claws on the floor this entire time! It's incredibly distracting! If you aren't taking this seriously, leave at once!"

Izuku blinked. He hadn't realized he was tapping his foot. His body was unconsciously trying to ground the nervous static electricity building up in his legs.

"Sorry," Izuku said calmly. "It's an involuntary muscular discharge. I'll ground it." Izuku shifted his heavy tail, laying the tip flat against the metal frame of the seat in front of him. A tiny spark of green electricity jumped from his scales to the metal, and the tapping stopped.

The boy with glasses huffed, adjusting his spectacles, and sat down.

Present Mic quickly explained the Zero Pointer—an obstacle meant to be avoided—and dismissed the students to their respective battle centers.

Battle Center B was a sprawling, hyper-realistic replica of a dense urban metropolis.

Dozens of nervous students gathered before the massive, towering metal gates. Izuku stood near the front, stretching his legs. He did a deep lunge, the emerald scales on his thighs sliding smoothly over one another like organic plate armor.

Nearby, the bespectacled boy—Tenya Iida—was busy doing his own stretches, checking the exhaust pipes protruding from his calves. Iida prided himself on his family's legacy of speed. He was an Engine. He was fast. He glanced sideways at Izuku, eyeing the dinosaur-like legs with a mixture of skepticism and competitive appraisal.

"Right, let's start!"

Present Mic’s voice boomed from the watchtower above.

Most of the students froze, waiting for a countdown. "Three, two, one," or something similar.

Izuku didn't wait.

Toshinori had taught him better. Villains don't give countdowns.

As the massive metal doors began to inch open, leaving only a two-foot gap, Izuku’s slitted pupils contracted.

Lightning Sprint.

To Tenya Iida, Uraraka, and the rest of the examinees, it sounded like a bomb went off.

BOOM!

A concussive blast of wind knocked the students in the front row off their feet. The concrete pad where Izuku had been standing was pulverized into gravel. He was simply gone. A brilliant, jagged streak of golden-green lightning tore through the narrow gap in the doors, shooting down the main street of the artificial city before the gates had even opened halfway.

"What are you waiting for?!" Present Mic screamed through the speakers. "There are no countdowns in a real fight! Follow the lightning bolt, listeners!"

The students scrambled in a panic, charging into the city.

But they were already hopelessly behind.

Inside the city, Izuku was in a state of tachypsychia—his perception of time radically slowed down by his hyper-active nervous system. He sprinted down the center of the main avenue, his massive, reverse-jointed legs propelling him fifteen feet forward with every single stride.

Ahead of him, three One-Pointer robots rolled out of an alleyway, their red optics locking onto him.

"Target acquired," the mechanical voices droned.

Izuku didn't stop. He didn't even alter his course. He didn't need to punch them. He just needed to run.

As he approached them, the sheer velocity of his movement pushed a wall of highly compressed, superheated air in front of him. Furthermore, his scales were generating massive amounts of static friction.

Izuku sprinted straight between the three robots at Mach 1.

He didn't touch them. But the sonic boom in his wake, combined with the massive electromagnetic pulse (EMP) generated by his static discharge, hit the robots like a tidal wave.

The sound was deafening. The glass windows of the fake buildings on either side of the street shattered inward. The three robots violently convulsed as the EMP fried their internal circuitry, before the concussive wind pressure physically lifted them off the ground and smashed them into the concrete walls.

Three points.

Izuku didn't even look back. He banked hard at the next intersection. He threw his heavy tail left, his right leg absorbing the immense gravitational force, and he made a perfect ninety-degree turn at supersonic speed. The asphalt melted under his claws.

Tenya Iida rounded the corner just in time to see the aftermath. He engaged his Recipro Burst, moving at his absolute top speed to secure a Three-Pointer robot in the distance.

But before Iida could even cover half the distance, a blur of green and yellow light ricocheted off the wall of a building, completely severing the robot's head through sheer kinetic impact, and vanished down the next street, leaving behind nothing but the smell of ozone and a shower of sparks.

Iida skidded to a halt, his jaw dropping behind his helmet. "That... that wasn't running," Iida breathed, utterly bewildered. "That was teleportation. How is human biology capable of such velocity?"

For seven minutes, Izuku Midoriya was a natural disaster locked inside a confined space.

He didn't fight like a traditional hero. He fought like a localized thunderstorm. He used the sides of buildings as springboards, bounding from wall to wall, his claws easily piercing the concrete. He would drop from the sky like a meteor, executing Thunder-Kicks that unleashed enough stored static electricity to melt the thick armor plating of the Three-Pointers into glowing slag.

He was at seventy-two points. He hadn't broken a single sweat.

High above the mock cities, in a darkened observation room filled with glowing monitors, the U.A. faculty watched the carnage in absolute silence.

The Pro Heroes were usually boisterous during this exam, cheering on the flashy Quirks and the clever applications of strategy. But today, the room was eerily quiet. Every single monitor showing Battle Center B was just displaying streaks of green light and localized explosions.

Sitting in the front row, wrapped in a yellow sleeping bag, Shota Aizawa stared at the screen. He was holding a small, styrofoam cup of black coffee.

As Izuku on-screen executed a supersonic wall-jump, decapitating two Two-Pointers with a whip of his heavy tail, Aizawa’s hand squeezed. The styrofoam cup cracked, spilling hot coffee all over his sleeping bag. He didn't even notice.

"What in the hell am I looking at?" Aizawa muttered, his tired eyes wide.

"A marvel of genetics, Eraserhead!" chirped a high-pitched, gleeful voice. Principal Nezu, the chimera mammal, was sitting on a high stool, cackling as he rubbed his paws together. "Applicant Midoriya Izuku! Quirk Registry: Static Gallimimus! A hybrid mutation and emitter class!"

"That's not just a mutation," said Vlad King, leaning forward. "That kid is breaking the sound barrier on foot. The kinetic force alone should be snapping his own bones like twigs."

"Ah, but that is the beauty of it!" Nezu explained, tapping the screen with a pointer. "Look at his leg structure. The digitigrade stance, the elongated metatarsals, the hyper-dense fast-twitch muscle fibers, and the thick tail for aerodynamic balance. His body is perfectly evolved to withstand and distribute the sheer force of his own speed. And the electricity he generates acts as a kinetic cushion, repelling him from surfaces and mitigating impact damage!"

Midnight leaned back in her chair, fanning herself. "It’s breathtaking. He moves with such primal grace. But it’s almost entirely offensive. Can he rescue?"

"Let’s find out," Nezu said, a mischievous glint in his black eyes. He reached forward and pressed a large red button on his console. "Release the Zero Pointers."

Back in Battle Center B, Izuku was standing atop a five-story building, letting the static charge bleed out of his legs into the rebar of the roof.

Suddenly, the ground beneath the entire artificial city shuddered. A deafening, metallic groan echoed through the streets, followed by a series of massive explosions.

Izuku looked toward the center of the city.

Bursting through the pavement, towering over the buildings themselves, was a colossal, olive-green mechanical leviathan. The Zero Pointer. It was the size of a skyscraper. Its massive treads crushed the streets, and a single swipe of its arm obliterated a city block, sending a tsunami of concrete debris raining down toward the fleeing students below.

Panic erupted. The examinees, who had been confidently destroying the smaller bots moments before, turned and ran in absolute terror.

"Run! It's the Zero Pointer!"

"Are they insane?! We can't fight that thing!"

Izuku watched from the roof. He had seventy-two points. He was guaranteed to pass. All he had to do was turn around and run away. And his Quirk—his innate, prehistoric instinct—was screaming at him to do exactly that. The sheer scale of the threat was triggering his evasion response. His legs began to spark, involuntarily preparing to sprint in the opposite direction.

He was about to flee.

"Ow! Help! My leg is stuck!"

The voice was faint, drowned out by the grinding of the robot's treads, but Izuku’s hyper-sensitive hearing caught it.

He looked down. In the main avenue, right in the direct path of the Zero Pointer’s massive treads, was the girl with the brown bob. She had used her gravity Quirk too much, made herself nauseous, and her leg was now pinned beneath a massive slab of concrete.

The shadow of the Zero Pointer fell over her.

Izuku’s evasion instinct shattered, instantly replaced by the overwhelming, burning desire that had awoken in the alleyway months ago.

If you can only dodge, you cannot protect those behind you.

Izuku didn't flee. He dropped into a runner's starting block stance right there on the edge of the roof.

He closed his eyes. He didn't just activate his Quirk; he forced it into overdrive. He imagined a dam breaking. He allowed every single ounce of potential kinetic energy, every single drop of static electricity, to flood into his massive, digitigrade legs.

The air around him warped. A low, terrifying hum began to resonate from his body, like a high-tension power line about to snap. His emerald scales began to glow with blinding, incandescent light, the green lightning turning into a furious, brilliant gold.

Down below, Tenya Iida was running away. He glanced back, seeing the girl trapped. He wanted to help, but he froze. The robot was too big. He couldn't make it in time.

Then, Iida looked up at the roof of the nearest building. He saw the glowing figure.

"What is he doing?" Iida gasped.

Izuku opened his eyes. They were completely devoid of irises, glowing solid, luminescent green.

Overclock.

Izuku launched himself off the roof.

The five-story building groaned and instantly collapsed inward, the roof entirely cratering from the sheer, unimaginable downward force of his launch.

He didn't just fall. He shot toward the ground like a railgun projectile.

The Zero Pointer raised its massive foot, preparing to crush the street and Uraraka with it. Massive chunks of debris—cars, concrete slabs, steel girders—were falling from the sky around the robot.

Izuku hit the street, perfectly absorbing the fall with his reverse-jointed legs, and instantly rebounded forward.

Zap.

He was a beam of light. He crossed the two hundred yards to Uraraka in less than a tenth of a second. He skidded to a halt beside her, the wind pressure of his arrival blowing the falling dust away.

Uraraka looked up, tears in her eyes, expecting to be crushed. Instead, she saw the boy with the dinosaur legs, wreathed in a terrifying storm of golden lightning.

Without a word, Izuku grabbed the multi-ton concrete slab pinning her leg. He didn't lift it with his arms; he wedged his heavy, scaled tail underneath it and powerfully flicked it upward, tossing the slab aside like a pebble.

He scooped Uraraka into his arms.

"Hold your breath," Izuku commanded softly.

He looked up at the Zero Pointer. Its massive tread was coming down, mere feet above their heads. There was nowhere to run on the ground. The blast radius would kill her.

So, Izuku ran up.

Using the falling debris as stepping stones, Izuku sprinted into the sky. He leaped from a falling car, to a chunk of concrete, to a steel girder, moving so fast that gravity simply didn't have time to affect the objects he stepped on. To Uraraka, it felt like she was trapped inside a tornado of light.

Izuku reached the chest level of the towering robot. He kicked off a massive piece of debris, launching himself and Uraraka away from the robot, toward the roof of a structurally sound building far from the blast zone.

He gently tossed Uraraka, ensuring she landed safely on the rooftop.

But Izuku didn't land with her. He used the momentum of the toss to spin his body backward in mid-air.

He was suspended in the sky, directly in front of the Zero Pointer’s massive, red-glowing optical head. He had built up the maximum possible static charge in his body during his vertical sprint. His legs were burning, begging for release.

Izuku flipped forward, raising his right leg high above his head. The golden-green lightning concentrated entirely into the heel of his three-toed, clawed foot, glowing so brightly it outshone the sun.

He swung his leg down in a devastating axe-kick, aiming directly at the crown of the giant robot's head.

THUNDER-STRIKE!

His heel didn't physically touch the metal. The repulsive electromagnetic force of his static charge hit first.

The impact was cataclysmic.

A deafening CRACK ripped across the artificial city, so loud it blew out the audio feeds in the observation room. A massive pillar of golden lightning cascaded down from Izuku’s heel, slicing through the titanium armor of the Zero Pointer like a hot knife through butter.

The electrical discharge surged through the massive machine's entire frame, instantly frying every single circuit, engine block, and power core within its body.

But it wasn't just the electricity. The raw, downward kinetic force of Izuku's supersonic kick physically cleaved the robot's head cleanly in two.

The top half of the Zero Pointer exploded outward in a massive fireball. The colossal machine went rigid, sparks geysering from its severed neck, before slowly, agonizingly, toppling backward away from the street, crashing into the ruined cityscape with the force of an earthquake.

High above in the sky, completely drained of kinetic energy and momentum, Izuku began to fall.

The adrenaline faded, replaced by searing pain in his thigh muscles. He couldn't move them. He had exceeded his capacitance. The ground was rushing up to meet him.

Well, Izuku thought, the wind rushing past his ears, at least I saved her. I hope I get a few points for that.

Before he could hit the ground, a sharp, stinging slap across his face snapped him out of his daze.

"Release!"

Uraraka, who had managed to crawl to the edge of the roof, had reached out and slapped him as he fell past, activating her Quirk.

Izuku instantly became weightless. He floated gently to the pavement, touching down softly just as Present Mic’s voice echoed over the ruined city.

"TIME'S UP! THE EXAM IS OVER!"

Izuku lay on his back in the middle of the street, staring up at the clear blue sky. His heavy tail was completely limp beside him. His green scales were dull, stripped of their electrical charge, and his muscles throbbed with a dull ache.

Footsteps approached. Tenya Iida stood over him, looking down with an expression of sheer, unadulterated awe. Iida looked at the smoking, bisected ruins of the Zero Pointer, and then back at the boy with the prehistoric legs.

Iida realized, with a heavy heart, that he had completely misjudged the boy. Iida had run away. This boy, who possessed speed that defied the laws of physics, had chosen to stop and fight a god-like machine to save a single person.

"You..." Iida started, but couldn't find the words. He simply bowed his head deeply.

A week later, Izuku sat at the small dining table in his apartment. His mother, Inko, was pacing back and forth, wringing her hands nervously.

On the table sat a small, metallic disc featuring the U.A. emblem.

"Izuku, you should open it," Inko urged, biting her lip. "No matter what it says, I'm so proud of you. I really am."

Izuku reached out, his hand trembling slightly. He pressed the button on the top of the disc.

A holographic projection sprang to life. It wasn't just an audio message. It was a video of Principal Nezu, standing on his desk, and next to him, sitting in a large armchair, was All Might, wearing his yellow pinstriped suit.

"GREETINGS, YOUNG MIDORIYA!" All Might’s voice boomed, causing Inko to squeak and clutch her chest. "I AM HERE AS A HOLOGRAPHIC PROJECTION! SURPRISE!"

Izuku’s eyes widened. All Might? Doing the acceptance videos?

"Yes, yes, quite a surprise," Nezu chuckled, stepping forward. "Izuku Midoriya. You applied to the hero course. Let’s look at your written exam first. Flawless. Absolute top marks. Your analytical skills regarding Quirk mechanics are quite frankly, terrifying. I would love to have tea with you and discuss them."

Nezu clicked a button on a remote. "Now, onto the practical exam. You scored seventy-two Villain Points. An incredible feat, achieved through a spectacular display of speed and precise offensive application of your static charge. Seventy-two points alone would have secured your entry into this academy."

Izuku let out a breath he didn't realize he was holding. He passed.

"But," All Might interrupted, leaning forward in his chair, his blue eyes intense. "THE EXAM WAS NOT JUST ABOUT DESTROYING VILLAINS. HOW COULD A HERO COURSE REJECT SOMEONE WHO SAVES OTHERS AND DOES THE RIGHT THING?"

The hologram shifted to footage of the exam. It showed Uraraka trapped. It showed Izuku, glowing like a sun, abandoning his safety to rush toward the massive robot. It showed the cataclysmic, supersonic axe-kick that split the machine in two.

"A hero must have the power to protect," All Might continued softly. "AND YOU HAVE MORE THAN ENOUGH POWER. BUT YOU ALSO HAVE THE HEART."

Nezu smiled. "Rescue Points! Evaluated by a panel of judges! For abandoning your accumulated points and risking your life to save a fellow examinee against an insurmountable threat, you were awarded... Sixty Rescue Points!"

A leaderboard appeared on the screen.

1. Izuku Midoriya - 132 Points.

2. Katsuki Bakugo - 77 Points.

3. Eijiro Kirishima - 74 Points.

"One hundred and thirty-two points," Nezu laughed, clapping his paws. "You completely shattered all previous U.A. Entrance Exam records, Midoriya! The previous record holder was All Might himself, but even he didn't score this high!"

Inko burst into tears, collapsing to her knees as she sobbed into her hands.

Izuku stared at the glowing numbers. First place. He had beaten Kacchan. He had beaten the record.

"COME, YOUNG MIDORIYA!" All Might shouted, pointing directly at the camera. "THIS IS YOUR HERO ACADEMIA!"

The hologram fizzled out.

Izuku sat quietly in his chair. He looked down at his massive, scaled legs. He remembered the feeling of terror when the Zero Pointer appeared, and the absolute clarity that followed when he chose to run toward it.

He was no longer a coward with a flight response. He was a weapon forged in lightning. And he was going to U.A. High School.

The uniform of U.A. High School was a symbol of prestige, tailored to fit the heroic elite of the next generation. For most students, it was a standard gray blazer, white shirt, red tie, and dark teal pants or skirt. For Izuku Midoriya, it required a masterclass in structural tailoring.

Standing in front of the full-length mirror in his bedroom, Izuku adjusted his red tie. His upper body looked entirely normal—a bit scrawny, perhaps, but fit. However, from the waist down, the U.A. uniform had been heavily modified by the school’s support companies. His pants were vastly widened to accommodate the thick, coiled, dinosaurian muscles of his thighs and calves. The knees were reverse-jointed, angling backward in a digitigrade structure, and a large, reinforced slit at the base of his spine allowed his massive, emerald-scaled tail to move freely. He wore no shoes; the school had provided special grounding anklets that rested just above his three-toed, clawed feet, designed to absorb any ambient static electricity he generated while simply walking down the halls.

He took a deep breath, his heavy tail giving a rhythmic thump against the floorboards.

Today was the first day.

When Izuku arrived at the towering door of Class 1-A, he could already hear the shouting. He slid the massive door open, his claws clicking softly against the linoleum.

"Take your feet off that desk immediately!"

Tenya Iida, the tall, bespectacled boy from the entrance exam, was chopping his hand through the air like a rigid metronome. He was glaring at Katsuki Bakugo, who was leaning back in his chair, his feet propped up on the desk, a look of utter disdain plastered across his face.

"Huh?" Bakugo sneered, a tiny spark popping off his thumb. "And who the hell are you, four-eyes? Did your old middle school teach you to stick a rod up your—"

Bakugo stopped. His crimson eyes darted to the doorway.

The entire classroom fell silent.

Izuku stood in the threshold, his heavy tail sweeping slowly behind him, leaving a faint trail of ozone in the air. The emerald scales on his massive legs caught the fluorescent lights of the classroom.

Iida immediately abandoned his argument with Bakugo and marched straight toward Izuku, bowing at a perfect ninety-degree angle. "I am Tenya Iida from Soumei Junior High! I must apologize! During the practical exam, I misjudged you completely. I thought you were just a reckless show-off, but you recognized the true purpose of the exam—to rescue! You are a far superior student!"

"O-Oh, no, it's fine, really!" Izuku stammered, his cheeks flushing as he waved his hands defensively.

"Hey, it's you!"

Ochaco Uraraka bounced over to the doorway, her round face beaming. "The super-fast dinosaur guy! You totally saved me! Your kick was amazing! It was like... WHOOSH and then CRACK!" She pantomimed an explosive kick, nearly losing her balance.

As the class began to crowd around him, asking about his Quirk, Izuku caught Bakugo’s gaze through the throng of students. Bakugo’s face was a mask of simmering, violently contained fury. The explosive boy remembered the scoreboard. First Place: Izuku Midoriya. The hierarchy had been inverted, and it was eating Bakugo alive.

"If you're just here to make friends, you can pack up your stuff and leave."

The voice was tired, dry, and seemed to come from the floor.

The students jumped back as a yellow sleeping bag inch-wormed its way into the classroom. The zipper descended, revealing a haggard man with unkempt black hair, a scarf made of gray bandages, and eyes that looked like they hadn't slept in a decade.

"I'm your homeroom teacher, Shota Aizawa," he deadpanned, stepping out of the bag. "Put these on and meet me out on the P.E. grounds. We're doing a Quirk Apprehension Test."

The sun beat down on the sprawling dirt field behind the U.A. main building.

"A Quirk Apprehension Test?!" the class shouted in unison.

"What about the entrance ceremony? The orientation?" Uraraka asked, holding her blue P.E. uniform anxiously.

"U.A. is not tethered to traditional, pointless ceremonies," Aizawa replied, his hands deep in his pockets. "Here, we run a free-style educational system. The Department of Education dictates you take standard fitness tests without your Quirks. It's irrational. Bakugo, you finished second in the practical exam. What was your farthest softball throw in middle school?"

Bakugo scowled at the reminder of his placement. "Sixty-seven meters."

"Try it with your Quirk," Aizawa instructed, tossing him a baseball. "Do whatever you want, just don't leave the circle."

Bakugo stepped into the pitcher's circle. He stretched his arms, a feral grin spreading across his face. He wound up, his right arm sparking violently.

"DIE!"

BOOM!

A massive explosion propelled the ball into the stratosphere, leaving a trail of black smoke in its wake.

Aizawa held up a digital device. 705.2 meters.

The class erupted into cheers. "Over 700 meters?!" "This looks like fun!" "We get to use our Quirks as much as we want!"

Aizawa’s eyes narrowed, his sclera flashing red for a split second. The air around him dropped in temperature. "Fun? You have three years to become heroes. You think it's going to be all fun and games? Fine. Whoever scores the lowest across all eight tests will be judged to have no potential and will be expelled."

The class gasped, terror washing over their faces.

Aizawa smiled, a chilling, predatory grin. "Welcome to U.A. High's Hero Course."

Izuku didn't flinch. He looked down at his clawed feet. He had survived Katsuki's bullying, the Sludge Villain, and the Zero Pointer. He wasn't going to be expelled on the first day.

The first test was the 50-meter dash.

Izuku was paired up with a boy with a tail of his own—Mashirao Ojiro. Ojiro looked at Izuku’s massive, scaled, digitigrade legs and swallowed hard. "I, uh, I have a feeling I'm not going to win this one."

"Just do your best," Izuku said politely, stepping up to the starting line.

Aizawa stood at the finish line, holding a digital stopwatch. He watched Izuku closely. During the entrance exam, the boy had relied heavily on his electrical output to propel himself and destroy obstacles. Aizawa's Quirk, Erasure, allowed him to nullify Emitter and Transformation type Quirks, but it could not erase physical Mutations. Aizawa wanted to see exactly what Izuku was relying on. The lightning, or the legs?

"Runners on your marks," the robotic voice of the starting machine announced.

Izuku dropped into a crouch. He didn't activate his lightning. He wanted to conserve his capacitance for the ball throw. He simply dug his three massive claws into the dirt track, tensing his dinosaurian muscles.

Aizawa’s eyes flashed red. His hair floated upward. He locked his gaze onto Izuku, erasing any potential activation of the boy's electrical Quirk factors.

Let's see how fast you are without the flashy plasma, kid, Aizawa thought.

"Get set."

BANG.

Izuku pushed off the starting line.

Aizawa blinked.

He didn't see the boy run. He just felt a sudden, violent gust of wind hit him in the face, blowing his floating hair backward. A massive cloud of dust erupted from the starting line, completely blinding Ojiro.

BEEP.

"Zero point zero four seconds," the robotic voice droned.

Aizawa looked down. Izuku was already standing three feet past the finish line, completely relaxed, his heavy tail gently swaying. There was no lightning. There were no sonic booms or scorch marks.

Aizawa’s Erasure had successfully stopped the electrical emitter function. But Izuku’s body was a prehistoric mutation. His leg muscles were so ungodly dense, his biological leverage so perfectly evolved, that his raw, un-Quirk-assisted physical speed still broke the sound barrier over a short distance. The lightning was just a byproduct; the legs were the true weapon.

He's a monster, Aizawa realized, canceling his Quirk and letting his hair fall flat. His baseline physical stats are completely off the charts.

The rest of the tests were a masterclass in kinetic physics.

In the grip strength test, Izuku couldn't use his hands—his upper body was average. So, he asked to use his toes. He wrapped his three-toed, clawed foot around the digital meter and squeezed. The machine shattered into pieces under the crushing force of his digitigrade grip.

In the standing long jump, he didn't just clear the sandbox. He bounded over the entire athletic field in a single leap, landing softly on the grass on the other side.

Then came the softball throw.

Uraraka had just scored an 'Infinity' by making the ball weightless.

Izuku stepped into the circle. He held the small, white baseball in his right hand. He looked down at it. His arms couldn't throw it far. He needed to use his lower body.

"Midoriya," Aizawa called out, his eyes normal, no longer glowing red. "Show me everything you've got."

Izuku nodded. He tossed the baseball lightly into the air above him.

He didn't run. He just activated the Quirk factor in his muscles. His slitted pupils dilated. The air pressure in the circle instantly dropped.

Z-Z-Z-ZAP!

Golden-green lightning violently erupted from his emerald scales, wrapping around his legs like a localized hurricane. The intense static charge superheated the air, causing the dirt beneath him to turn to glass.

As the baseball began to fall back down, Izuku spun. He whipped his heavy tail in a tight circle to generate maximum centrifugal force, pivoting on his left foot. He channeled the entirety of his stored kinetic electricity into his right leg.

He executed a flawless, supersonic spinning crescent kick, striking the baseball with the heel of his foot perfectly.

THO-KOOOOM!

The sound was like a cannon going off. The impact of the thunder-kick didn't just launch the ball; it transferred thousands of volts of electricity into the object, superheating the rubber core.

The baseball broke the sound barrier instantly. A white ring of vapor erupted in the air as the ball shot into the sky like a glowing green meteorite, leaving a massive, spiraling contrail of plasma and smoke in the clouds.

The wind pressure from the kick knocked Mineta and Kaminari off their feet.

Aizawa held up the digital device. The numbers climbed so fast they blurred, before finally stopping.

Aizawa turned the screen toward the class.

1,402.6 meters.

Total, stunned silence gripped Class 1-A.

"Over... over a kilometer?!" Kaminari gasped, rubbing his eyes. "With a kick?!"

"His Quirk is entirely housed in his lower body," a tall boy with half-white, half-red hair muttered, his mismatched eyes locked onto Izuku. Shoto Todoroki analyzed the craters in the dirt, calculating the sheer force required to generate that launch. His physical output... it might rival All Might's.

Katsuki Bakugo stood frozen, his crimson eyes wide and trembling. He looked at the smoking glass in the pitching circle. He looked at the contrail in the sky. He looked at Izuku, who was panting slightly, steam rising from his scales.

1,400 meters. 0.04 seconds.

"DEKU!"

The scream was guttural, raw, and filled with a decade of shattered pride. Bakugo couldn't take it anymore. The nerd he had bullied, the Quirkless-looking freak, was publicly humiliating him without even trying.

Bakugo launched himself forward, firing explosions from both palms to propel himself at blinding speed, aiming a lethal right hook directly at Izuku’s head. "Tell me how you're doing this! What kind of trick is this, you damn lizard?!"

Izuku turned his head. His kinetic vision triggered instantly.

Bakugo, moving at a speed that the rest of the class could barely track, looked to Izuku as if he were wading through wet cement. Izuku saw the trajectory of the fist. He saw the spark in Bakugo's sweat glands.

Izuku didn't even drop into a stance. He just casually leaned backward, his heavy tail shifting slightly to maintain his balance.

Bakugo's fist sailed past Izuku's nose, missing by less than a millimeter.

Before Bakugo could recover his momentum, gray capture tape wrapped tightly around his torso, yanking him backward and slamming him into the dirt.

Aizawa stood there, his eyes glowing red, his hair floating. "Don't make me use my Quirk, Bakugo. It gives me dry eye. Midoriya passed the test. Accept it."

Bakugo lay in the dirt, breathing heavily, glaring at Izuku with a hatred so pure it practically burned the air. Izuku just looked away, his tail twitching sadly. He didn't want to fight Kacchan. He just wanted to exist.

Aizawa released the tape. "Test over. No one is going home. The expulsion was a logical ruse to draw out your best performance."

The class collectively sighed in relief, though Momo Yaoyorozu noted it was quite obvious.

Izuku had secured first place overall in the Quirk Apprehension Test. Bakugo had dropped to third.

The hierarchy was forever broken.

The next afternoon, the massive doors to Class 1-A swung open, and a colossal figure squeezed his way into the room.

"I AM COMING THROUGH THE DOOR LIKE A NORMAL PERSON!"

All Might stood in his Silver Age costume, his massive smile radiating across the room. The class erupted into fanatical cheers. The Symbol of Peace was actually their teacher.

"WELCOME TO FOUNDATIONAL HERO STUDIES!" All Might boomed. "TODAY, WE WILL BE CONDUCTING INDOOR COMBAT TRAINING! AND TO GO WITH IT... YOUR HERO COSTUMES!"

The wall slid open, revealing numbered metal briefcases.

Twenty minutes later, Class 1-A emerged from the tunnel into Ground Beta, a massive, simulated cityscape.

Izuku stepped into the light, adjusting the sleek black fabric of his costume. His suit was designed purely for aerodynamics and heat venting. The upper half was a form-fitting, sleeveless black tunic with green accents, leaving his arms free. His back was entirely exposed, allowing the massive amounts of body heat his fast-twitch muscles generated to vent into the air.

From the waist down, he wore specialized, ultra-durable compression pants that stopped just above his knees, leaving his massive, emerald-scaled digitigrade legs bare. His heavy tail swung freely behind him. He still wore no shoes; instead, he wore high-tech, shock-absorbing bracers around his ankles that could manually store or release static electricity.

He looked like a prehistoric speed skater. Sleek, aerodynamic, and dangerous.

"Deku! Your costume is awesome!" Uraraka jogged over, wearing a skin-tight pink and black suit. "It looks so... fast!"

"Thanks, Uraraka!" Izuku smiled, rubbing the back of his neck. "Yours looks great too, though the helmet looks a bit heavy."

"ATTENTION!" All Might announced, drawing lots from a box. "THE SITUATION IS THIS: THE VILLAINS HAVE HIDDEN A NUCLEAR WEAPON IN THEIR HIDEOUT! THE HEROES MUST INFILTRATE AND EITHER CAPTURE THE VILLAINS OR SECURE THE WEAPON! TEAM A WILL BE THE HEROES: IZUKU MIDORIYA AND OCHACO URARAKA!"

Izuku blinked. He looked at Uraraka and smiled.

"AND TEAM D WILL BE THE VILLAINS! KATSUKI BAKUGO AND TENYA IIDA!"

Izuku’s smile instantly vanished. The static in the air around his legs suddenly spiked, snapping and popping like tiny firecrackers.

He looked across the crowd. Katsuki Bakugo, wearing a black and orange suit with massive, grenade-shaped gauntlets, was staring a hole straight through Izuku’s skull. Bakugo wasn't angry anymore. He was intensely, terrifyingly focused. This wasn't a test of numbers or distances. This was combat.

If I can land just one hit, Bakugo thought, his hands clenching into fists. Just one hit to prove that I'm still better than him.

"VILLAIN TEAM, ENTER THE BUILDING AND PREPARE!" All Might instructed. "HERO TEAM, YOU HAVE FIVE MINUTES!"

Inside the darkened corridors of the building, Katsuki and Iida stood on the fifth floor, guarding the papier-mâché nuclear weapon.

"Bakugo," Iida said sternly, adjusting his helmet. "Midoriya’s Quirk defies physics. His speed is unparalleled, and his leg strength is catastrophic. We must lock down this room. If he gets in here, we won't be able to catch him."

Bakugo didn't look at Iida. He was staring at the door leading to the stairwell.

"He's not coming for the bomb," Bakugo muttered, his voice eerily calm. "He's coming for me."

Without another word, Bakugo turned and walked out of the room, heading down the stairs.

"Wait! Bakugo! Our objective is to protect the weapon!" Iida yelled, but his teammate was already gone. Iida sighed, dropping into a defensive stance. "Fine. I shall embody the villainous role perfectly!"

Down below, Izuku and Uraraka slipped through a first-floor window.

"Okay, Deku, what's the plan?" Uraraka whispered, looking around the dark, concrete hallway.

Izuku’s slitted pupils dilated. His kinetic hearing picked up the faint, rhythmic clack-clack-clack of heavy boots walking down the stairs toward them.

"Kacchan is coming," Izuku said softly. "He won't care about the bomb. He just wants to fight me. Uraraka, when he attacks, I'm going to draw his fire. You slip away and find the weapon. Call me on the earpiece when you find Iida, and I'll be there."

"Be there? Deku, if he's on the fifth floor, it'll take you—"

"About one second," Izuku replied, his heavy tail tapping the floor. "Just find the bomb."

Uraraka nodded, creeping down the adjacent hallway.

Izuku stepped into the center of the main corridor. He waited.

From the shadows of the intersection ahead, Katsuki Bakugo emerged. His gauntlets gleamed in the dim light. He didn't shout. He didn't scream insults. He just raised his right gauntlet, aiming directly at Izuku.

"You've been looking down on me for ten years, haven't you, Deku?" Bakugo whispered, the sound echoing off the concrete.

"I've never looked down on you, Kacchan," Izuku said, his voice steady. "I've always admired your strength. But I'm not running away from you anymore."

Bakugo’s eyes widened, a flash of pure rage breaking through his calm facade.

"THEN DIE!"

Bakugo lunged. He fired an explosion from his left hand to propel himself forward at blistering speed, winding up his right arm for a devastating hook.

In the observation room, the rest of the class watched the monitors in tense silence.

"Bakugo's fast," Kirishima noted, leaning closer to the screen. "In a tight hallway like that, Midoriya can't use his massive jumps. He's boxed in."

"A tactical advantage for the villain," Momo Yaoyorozu agreed. "Midoriya's straight-line speed is hindered by the walls. If he activates his lightning, he might fry his own teammate by accident."

On the screen, Bakugo closed the distance in a heartbeat.

Explosion.

A massive fireball engulfed the hallway, completely hiding Izuku from the cameras.

Bakugo grinned savagely, feeling the heat of his own blast. Got him!

But as the smoke cleared, Bakugo's grin vanished.

He had hit nothing but air.

"Looking for me?"

Bakugo looked up.

Izuku was suspended horizontally in the air, parallel to the ceiling. He wasn't flying. He had simply jumped up, dug his left claw deeply into the concrete wall, and his right claw into the opposite wall, holding himself in a perfect split above Bakugo's head. His heavy tail hung down, perfectly centered to maintain his balance.

Before Bakugo could react, Izuku released his grip. He dropped straight down, his heavy tail whipping around to hook Bakugo’s ankle. With a swift tug, Izuku pulled Bakugo’s leg out from under him, sending the explosive boy crashing face-first into the concrete floor.

Izuku landed softly behind him on the balls of his digitigrade feet.

"You're too aggressive, Kacchan. You telegraph your right hook."

Bakugo roared, spinning on the ground and firing a blast directly upward.

Izuku swayed backward, moving with a terrifying, bird-like grace. The explosion missed his chest by an inch, singing the fabric of his tunic. He moved with the fluidity of water, his heavy tail shifting his center of gravity flawlessly.

To Izuku, Bakugo was moving in slow motion. Izuku’s kinetic vision processed the heat signatures, the muscle twitches, and the trajectory of every attack before Bakugo even fully executed them.

Bakugo scrambled to his feet, launching a relentless barrage of explosions. Left hook, right hook, roundhouse kick, blast after blast after blast.

The hallway turned into a blazing inferno of orange fire and black smoke.

But Izuku didn't fight back. He just evaded.

It was an absolute masterclass in evasion. Izuku was a ghost in the flames. He ducked under a blast, his reverse-jointed knees bending unnaturally low. He swayed around a punch, pivoting on a single toe, his tail whipping to counter the momentum. He didn't even use his static electricity. He was just using pure, prehistoric agility.

He was weaving through the fire by mere millimeters. The flames licked his scales but never burned him.

In the observation room, the students were completely mesmerized.

"He's... he's untouchable," Kaminari whispered, his jaw hanging open. "Bakugo is going all out, and Midoriya isn't even breaking a sweat. It's like watching a matador fight a bull."

"It's not just speed," Todoroki observed quietly, his eyes tracking Izuku's tail. "It's perfect kinetic balance. His tail acts as a gyroscope. He can alter his momentum mid-air, mid-step, without losing balance. Bakugo is fighting a shadow."

Inside the building, Bakugo was panting heavily, his arms aching from the recoil of his explosions. He backed away, his chest heaving.

Izuku stood at the end of the hallway, perfectly unharmed. He hadn't even raised his hands to defend himself.

"Why won't you attack me?!" Bakugo screamed, his voice cracking with desperation. "Fight back, damn you! Use your lightning! Use your Quirk! Stop looking down on me!"

"I told you, Kacchan," Izuku said, his slitted eyes glowing faintly in the dim light. "I don't want to hurt you. My Quirk is built to evade. To survive. I'm just doing my job as a hero."

BZZZT.

Izuku’s earpiece crackled. "Deku! I found the weapon! It's on the fifth floor, north room! Iida is guarding it, and he cleared out all the hiding spots!"

"Good job, Uraraka," Izuku replied calmly. "I'm on my way."

Bakugo heard the exchange. His eyes fell on the massive, grenade-shaped gauntlets on his arms. They were designed to store his nitroglycerin sweat. He had been saving it.

"You're not going anywhere, Deku," Bakugo growled darkly, raising his right arm. He grabbed the pull-pin on the gauntlet with his left hand. "If I can't hit you... I'll just blow up the entire hallway."

In the observation room, All Might grabbed the microphone. "YOUNG BAKUGO, STOP! ARE YOU TRYING TO KILL HIM?! IF YOU PULL THAT TRIGGER, YOU WILL BE DISQUALIFIED!"

"He won't die if he dodges!" Bakugo screamed, pulling the pin.

CLINK.

A deafening, apocalyptic roar tore through the building.

A massive, concentrated beam of pure, explosive thermal energy erupted from the gauntlet, filling the entire width and height of the hallway. It was an unavoidable wall of fire. The concrete walls vaporized, the floor shattered, and the building violently shook.

In the monitor room, the screens went to static.

"MIDORIYA!" All Might yelled, his heart stopping in his chest.

Back in the hallway, the smoke slowly cleared. Bakugo stood at the end of the corridor, his right arm smoking heavily, his breathing ragged. He looked down the destroyed hallway. The walls were gone. The floor was a crater.

"Got you," Bakugo panted.

"You missed."

Bakugo froze. The voice came from directly behind him.

Bakugo didn't even have time to turn his head.

Izuku had used the millisecond before the explosion fired to activate his Lightning Sprint. He had run up the wall, onto the ceiling, and sprinted directly over Bakugo’s head, moving faster than the explosion could expand.

Izuku stood behind Bakugo. The green scales on Izuku’s right hand were sparking with a very small, highly concentrated amount of static electricity. He didn't want to break Bakugo's bones. He just needed to stop him.

Izuku reached out and tapped Bakugo lightly on the back of the neck, right over the brachial plexus nerve cluster.

Zap.

He discharged a precise, paralyzing shock of electricity directly into Bakugo's nervous system.

Bakugo’s eyes rolled back into his head. His entire body went rigid, his muscles seizing violently, and he collapsed face-first onto the concrete, completely paralyzed, though entirely conscious.

"Sorry, Kacchan," Izuku whispered, stepping over the immobilized boy. "But I have a bomb to secure."

Izuku looked up at the ceiling. The fifth floor was directly above him. He didn't have time to take the stairs.

Izuku dropped into a deep crouch. Golden-green lightning violently erupted from his massive, digitigrade legs, illuminating the ruined hallway in a blinding flash.

BOOM!

Izuku launched himself straight up. He didn't jump. He became a human railgun.

He smashed through the ceiling of the first floor. Then the second. Then the third. Then the fourth.

On the fifth floor, Iida was dramatically monolouging to Uraraka, who was hiding behind a pillar.

"Hahaha! I have hidden all the objects in this room! You have no weapons to use your gravity on, Hero!" Iida boomed, adjusting his glasses.

Suddenly, the floor beneath Iida violently exploded.

A blinding streak of green lightning tore through the concrete, bringing a shower of dust and rebar with it. Izuku Midoriya landed perfectly in the center of the room, steam hissing from his scales, his heavy tail sweeping the debris away.

Iida gasped in shock, but his training kicked in. He wasn't going to lose.

"Recipro Burst!" Iida shouted, his calf engines roaring to life with blue fire. Iida pushed his speed to the absolute limit, moving faster than the eye could track, charging directly at Izuku to intercept him.

Iida was fast. He was incredibly fast.

But to a Gallimimus whose nervous system operated at the speed of lightning, Iida might as well have been walking through molasses.

Izuku watched Iida approach. He noted the linear trajectory. He saw the rigid posture.

As Iida threw a high-speed kick aimed at Izuku’s chest, Izuku simply leaned to the right.

Iida's leg sailed past him.

Izuku reached out his hand, gently placing it on the papier-mâché bomb sitting behind Iida.

"Captured," Izuku said softly.

Iida skidded to a halt, the blue flames in his engines sputtering out. He turned around, staring at Izuku, who was resting his hand on the weapon, entirely unharmed, completely relaxed.

"I... I couldn't even see you move," Iida whispered, completely defeated.

"THE HERO TEAM... WIIIIIIIINS!" All Might’s voice boomed over the intercom, echoing through the silence of the room.

Uraraka cheered, running over to Izuku.

In the observation room, Class 1-A was dead silent.

They had just watched Izuku Midoriya absolutely dismantle their two strongest classmates without throwing a single punch or kick. He had evaded a localized nuclear blast, paralyzed a prodigy with a tap, leaped through four floors of solid concrete, and effortlessly dodged a speedster's ultimate move.

Shoto Todoroki clenched his right hand, feeling a bead of sweat roll down his neck. If I use my ice... he'd just run through it. If I use my fire... he'd dodge it.

Momo Yaoyorozu swallowed hard, her analytical mind struggling to comprehend the physics she had just witnessed. He's not just powerful. He's functionally invincible in close combat.

Izuku Midoriya wasn't just another student in Class 1-A. He was the apex predator of evasion. And the entire class, including the Pro Hero watching them, realized one terrifying truth:

Unless Izuku Midoriya allowed it, no one in this school would ever lay a finger on him.

The U.A. bus rumbled steadily down the coastal highway, its massive tires humming against the asphalt. Inside, the atmosphere among Class 1-A was a mixture of nervous anticipation and boisterous teenage energy.

Izuku Midoriya sat in the back row, occupying two seats. He had to. His massive, reverse-jointed legs required extra legroom, and his heavy, emerald-scaled tail rested across his lap, its tip lightly tapping the window. He wore his hero costume, the sleek black fabric and exposed venting designed to keep his hyper-active musculature from overheating. He stared out the window, watching the blur of the ocean pass by, a faint, rhythmic crackle of green static electricity jumping between his three-toed claws.

"Hey, Midoriya," a blunt, croaking voice called out.

Izuku turned his head. Tsuyu Asui, a girl with wide, frog-like features and a straightforward demeanor, was leaning over the aisle.

"Yes, Asui?" Izuku asked politely.

"Call me Tsu," she corrected smoothly. "I generally say whatever is on my mind. Your Quirk is incredible, but it’s completely unique. Most speedsters rely on engine mutations or localized kinetic bursts. You’re a prehistoric mutant with a massive electrical emitter factor. It’s like two completely unrelated Quirks fused into one perfect combat machine. You’re like a force of nature."

Eijiro Kirishima leaned over the seat, grinning, his jagged teeth flashing. "Right?! It’s so manly! Bakugo went totally feral the other day, and Midoriya just danced around him like it was nothing! And that lightning? So flashy! My Hardening Quirk is useful for taking hits, but it’s nowhere near as cool as breaking the sound barrier."

At the front of the bus, Katsuki Bakugo’s posture went rigidly stiff. He didn't turn around, but the faint smell of burnt caramel—the precursor to his nitroglycerin sweat—wafted through the air conditioning. He hadn't spoken to Izuku since the combat trial. He hadn't shouted. He hadn't threatened. He was simmering in a cold, silent rage, completely paralyzed by the realization that he was vastly, hopelessly outmatched.

"It's not just flashy," Shoto Todoroki interjected quietly from his seat, his mismatched eyes fixed on Izuku’s legs. "It's mathematically terrifying. The sheer kinetic force Midoriya generates just by running requires a skeletal density that should make him too heavy to move. Yet he moves faster than the eye can track. It’s a biological paradox."

Izuku’s cheeks flushed a deep shade of crimson. He instinctively curled his tail tighter around his waist, grounding the nervous static charge through his anklets. "I-It’s not a paradox, really. The scales act as a natural kinetic disperser, and the electrical charge reduces friction... it’s just a lot of calories to maintain."

"Well, whatever it is, you’re definitely the strongest in the class," Denki Kaminari laughed. "I mean, All Might is strong, but even he probably couldn’t catch you if you didn't want him to!"

"We're here. Quiet down."

Shota Aizawa’s voice cut through the chatter like a knife. The bus slowed, turning into a massive parking lot bordered by a sprawling, dome-shaped facility. It looked like a cross between a sports arena and an aerospace hangar.

Class 1-A filed out of the bus, standing in awe before the towering entrance.

Waiting for them at the doors was a figure wearing a bulky, white spacesuit. "Hello, everyone! I’ve been waiting for you!"

"It's the Space Hero, Thirteen!" Uraraka squealed, practically vibrating with excitement. "The chivalrous pro who has rescued tons of people from disasters!"

Thirteen led the class into the facility. Izuku gasped as he stepped onto the central observation platform. The interior of the dome was colossal, divided into various, hyper-realistic disaster zones. A raging fire zone, a crumbling urban ruins zone, a landslide zone, a massive artificial lake for flood scenarios, and a mountain zone.

"Welcome to the Unforeseen Simulation Joint! Or, as I call it, the USJ!" Thirteen announced cheerfully.

Before the training could begin, Thirteen held up a padded, gloved hand. "Before we start, I have one... or two... or three things to say. As you all know, my Quirk is Black Hole. It can suck up and tear apart any matter. It is highly effective for removing debris and saving people from natural disasters."

Thirteen’s voice grew solemn, echoing slightly in the vast dome. "However... it is also a Quirk that could very easily be used to kill. In our superhuman society, Quirks are heavily regulated, but we must never forget how dangerous they inherently are. A single misstep, a single loss of emotional control, and you could end a life."

Izuku felt a chill run down his spine. He looked at his massive legs. He remembered the Zero Pointer. He remembered the Sludge Villain. If he hit a normal human being with a Mach 1 Thunder-Kick, he wouldn't just break their bones; he would vaporize them. His Quirk was a weapon of mass destruction housed in a teenager's body.

"This class is a fresh start," Thirteen concluded. "You will learn how to use your Quirks to save lives, not destroy them. That is all! Thank you for listening!"

The class applauded, inspired by the speech.

Aizawa stepped forward, his capture scarf loose around his neck. "Right. First, we’ll separate into groups and—"

BZZZT.

The massive stadium lights lining the ceiling of the dome suddenly flickered. A violent, unnatural power surge traveled through the facility. The artificial fountain in the central plaza sputtered and died.

Izuku felt it before anyone else did.

His Quirk didn't just generate electricity; it sensed it. His slitted pupils instantly contracted to microscopic slivers. The hair on his arms stood straight up, and the scales on his legs began to vibrate with a low, menacing hum. The air pressure in the dome was dropping rapidly.

"Sensei," Izuku said, his voice dropping an octave, entirely devoid of its usual nervous stutter. "Something is wrong."

Aizawa turned, narrowing his eyes. He followed Izuku’s gaze down to the central plaza, directly in front of the fountain.

The air was tearing open.

A speck of deep, swirling purple mist appeared, rapidly expanding into a massive, swirling vortex of dark energy. It was a warp gate, crackling with sinister, dark purple lightning.

From the center of the mist, a pale, disembodied hand reached out. Then, a man stepped through. He was sickly thin, covered in severed hands that gripped his face and arms, his pale blue hair falling wildly over a single, manic, bloodshot eye.

Behind him, the shadows morphed, and a horde of grotesque, terrifying figures poured out of the portal. Villains. Dozens of them. Mutants with massive jaws, thugs wielding rusted pipes, and individuals radiating dark, violent Quirks.

Finally, stepping out from the mist beside the man covered in hands, was a monstrosity. It was towering, heavily muscled, with skin the color of bruised eggplant. Its brain was completely exposed, a bird-like beak snapping idly as it stood in a hunched, mindless posture.

"Gather together and don't move!" Aizawa barked, his voice laced with sudden, absolute authority. "Thirteen, protect the students!"

"What is that?" Kirishima asked, taking a step back. "Is this like the entrance exam? Does the training start right away?"

"Don't move!" Aizawa yelled again, pulling his yellow goggles down over his eyes, his capture scarf beginning to float menacingly. "Those are real villains."

The word hung in the air, instantly dropping the temperature of the class to freezing. Real villains. Here. Inside U.A.

Down in the plaza, Tomura Shigaraki scratched his neck, peeling a flake of dry skin away. "Thirteen and Eraserhead are here. The teachers' schedule we retrieved the other day said All Might was supposed to be here. Where is he? I went through all the trouble of bringing this crowd... and the Symbol of Peace isn't even here?"

Shigaraki spread his arms, a demented smile stretching beneath the hand on his face. "Maybe if I kill some kids, he'll show up to play."

Aizawa tensed, preparing to leap down the stairs into a one-versus-seventy fight to buy time.

"Eraserhead," Thirteen warned. "You can't fight them all. Your fighting style involves capturing villains after erasing their Quirks in stealth. A frontal assault against an army..."

"A hero always has more than one trick," Aizawa grunted.

But before Aizawa could move, the purple mist that had formed the gate suddenly vanished from the plaza.

Danger.

Izuku’s hyper-active nervous system fired. His kinetic vision triggered, violently slowing down the world around him.

Directly behind the students, the air warped. The purple mist re-materialized, expanding rapidly, forming a wall of dark energy between the class and the exit doors. Yellow eyes formed within the mist.

"Greetings," Kurogiri’s elegant, echoing voice resonated from the vapor. "We are the League of Villains. Forgive our audacity, but we have invited ourselves into the home of the heroes in order to have All Might, the Symbol of Peace, draw his final breath."

Kurogiri’s mist surged forward like a tidal wave, expanding to engulf the students.

"My role is to scatter you across this facility," Kurogiri announced calmly. "And let my comrades torture you to death."

Aizawa, who was still facing the plaza, whipped around, his eyes glowing red to erase the Quirk. But it was too late. The mist was an area-of-effect expansion. It was already sweeping over Tsuyu, Mineta, and closing in on Aizawa’s blind spot.

In normal time, the mist moved in less than half a second.

To Izuku Midoriya, it was crawling.

Izuku’s emerald scales ignited. Golden-green electricity violently erupted from his core, turning the observation deck into a strobing tempest of plasma. The concrete cracked beneath his digitigrade feet.

Lightning Sprint Evasion: Overclock.

He didn't just break the sound barrier; he shattered it indoors.

KRACK-THOOOOOM!

A concussive shockwave of compressed air and thunder exploded on the observation deck. The sheer wind pressure generated by Izuku’s instantaneous acceleration blew the remaining students—Bakugo, Todoroki, Uraraka, and Kirishima—off their feet, tossing them backward.

Kurogiri’s mist had just touched the edges of Tsuyu’s and Mineta’s uniforms.

A jagged, blinding streak of green light intersected the mist.

Izuku moved with terrifying precision. He grabbed Mineta by the collar of his hero costume. He wrapped his right arm around Tsuyu’s waist. He didn't stop. He carried his momentum forward, his massive shoulder slamming squarely into Aizawa’s chest, physically shoving the Pro Hero backward.

In a single, continuous, supersonic motion, Izuku cleared his three targets out of the danger zone.

He skidded to a halt near the entrance doors, his three-toed claws gouging deep, smoking trenches into the steel grating of the floor. He dropped Tsuyu and Mineta, who were gasping for air, completely disoriented by the sudden g-force.

Aizawa stumbled back, catching his balance, his eyes wide.

The purple mist collapsed on empty air where the three had just been standing.

"What... what just happened?" Kurogiri’s yellow eyes widened in genuine shock within his vaporous form. The warp gate had been mathematically perfect. It was inescapable. But the green-haired boy had moved faster than a spatial distortion.

Izuku stood tall, placing himself directly between the warp villain and his classmates. Steam hissed violently from his vented suit. The golden lightning arced aggressively around his heavy, swaying tail. His reptilian pupils were locked onto the mist.

"Sensei," Izuku growled, the residual electricity in his throat making his voice sound dual-toned and demonic. "We have a problem."

Aizawa looked at the boy. The raw power radiating from Izuku was staggering. "Midoriya. Get the class out of here. Run to the school and trigger the alarms."

"I can't do that," Izuku replied, not taking his eyes off Kurogiri.

"This isn't a suggestion, kid! That's an order!" Aizawa snapped.

"Look at the mist, Aizawa-sensei," Izuku pointed. "He’s a spatial teleporter. If I take the class and run, he’ll just warp the exit. Or worse, he’ll warp a section of the floor away while we're running and send us straight into a meat grinder. If I leave the class behind to run for help alone, he’ll scatter them. I am the only one fast enough to react to a warp gate opening."

Aizawa gritted his teeth. The kid was right. A speedster was the natural counter to a teleporter, but only if they stayed within line of sight.

"Furthermore," Izuku continued, his massive leg muscles tensing, "there are seventy villains down there. You're an underground ambush hero. You fight in the shadows. You charge down there into an open plaza, and you'll get overwhelmed."

Izuku turned his head slightly, his slitted eyes meeting Aizawa’s. "Let me hold the line."

Aizawa stared at the fourteen-year-old boy. He saw no fear. He saw no hesitation. He saw a prehistoric apex predator that had finally decided to stop running away from its prey.

"Don't be arrogant, Midoriya," Aizawa warned darkly. "This isn't a training exercise. They will kill you."

"They have to hit me first," Izuku replied coldly.

Before Aizawa could argue further, Bakugo and Kirishima leaped into the air, launching a dual attack on the warp villain's core. "Die!" Bakugo roared, unleashing a massive explosion.

The blast blew the mist apart momentarily, but Kurogiri simply reformed.

"Foolish," Kurogiri intoned. The mist surged violently, this time covering the entire entrance area.

Izuku’s kinetic vision flared again. He saw the mist expanding, wrapping around Todoroki, Bakugo, Kirishima, and a few others. But he also saw Kurogiri targeting a specific portal directly beneath Izuku’s feet.

Izuku didn't dodge backward. He launched himself forward, directly into the mist, prioritizing closing the distance to the plaza.

The world went pitch black. A sensation of intense vertigo gripped him.

When the light returned, Izuku was falling.

He wasn't in the central plaza. He was thirty feet in the air, plummeting rapidly toward the massive, churning waters of the USJ's Flood Zone.

Below him, the water was boiling with activity. Dozens of villains with aquatic Quirks—shark-men, water manipulators, and deep-sea mutants—were circling the surface, waiting for their prey to drop.

"We got one!" a villain with a massive dorsal fin laughed. "Looks like a lizard! Let's drown him!"

Izuku’s heart rate remained perfectly calm. He twisted his body mid-air, using his heavy tail as a gyroscope to instantly right himself. He looked down at the vast expanse of water.

He remembered his training on Dagobah Beach. The friction. The static generation. The surface tension.

I don't need to swim, Izuku thought. I just need to move faster than the water can displace.

Izuku activated his Quirk. The golden-green lightning erupted around his legs, the intense heat instantly vaporizing the moisture in the air around him.

He hit the surface of the lake.

He didn't sink.

His three-toed claws struck the water with such immense, localized kinetic force that the water molecules were instantly compressed, acting as a solid surface for a fraction of a millisecond.

BOOM!

A massive plume of water exploded into the sky as Izuku rebounded forward, breaking the sound barrier.

He was running on water.

He sprinted across the surface of the Flood Zone at Mach 1, leaving a localized hurricane and a massive wake of displaced water in his path. To the aquatic villains, he was nothing but a blinding streak of green light skipping across the lake like a skipping stone fired from a cannon.

"What the hell is that?!" a villain screamed, diving beneath the surface to avoid the concussive wind pressure.

"He's running on the water! How is he doing that?!"

Izuku bounded across the lake, making a massive, sweeping turn. He needed to incapacitate all of them quickly and get back to Aizawa in the plaza. He couldn't punch them all. But he had a different weapon.

Izuku channeled the entirety of his kinetic electricity—millions of volts of static charge—into his lower spine.

As he sprinted across the center of the lake, maintaining his supersonic speed, he dropped his heavy, scaled tail.

The tip of his tail sliced into the surface of the water, acting as a perfect, biological lightning rod.

THUNDER-WAKE!

The discharge was catastrophic.

A blinding, incandescent flash of golden lightning erupted from his tail, surging directly into the highly conductive water of the artificial lake.

The entire Flood Zone lit up like a dying star. Millions of volts of raw, untethered electricity chained through the water at the speed of light. The water instantly boiled, massive columns of steam erupting from the surface.

The aquatic villains didn't even have time to scream. The electrical current violently shocked their nervous systems, instantly rendering every single villain in the lake unconscious. They floated to the surface, twitching, completely incapacitated.

Izuku didn't stop. He carried his momentum directly toward the shore of the Flood Zone, launching himself out of the water and crashing onto the concrete pavement. He skidded to a halt, his claws sparking against the ground.

He took a deep breath, steam rolling off his wet scales. Phase one was complete.

He looked toward the central plaza.

Aizawa was engaged in a brutal, desperate melee against the army of thugs. He was darting through the crowd, erasing Quirks and using his capture weapon to smash heads together. But he was getting tired. His movements were slowing.

Standing by the fountain, Shigaraki was watching, flanked by the massive, brain-exposed Nomu.

"Twenty-three seconds," Shigaraki muttered, watching Aizawa’s hair fall flat for a split second. "Your Quirk drops when you blink, Eraserhead. You're a cool hero, but you're not a raid boss."

Shigaraki suddenly lunged forward, moving with a terrifying, unnatural speed. Aizawa blinked, his eyes burning. Shigaraki reached out, his hand closing around Aizawa’s right elbow.

"Decay," Shigaraki whispered.

The fabric of Aizawa’s sleeve instantly disintegrated. The skin beneath it turned gray, cracking and peeling away as the terrifying Quirk began to turn Aizawa’s arm to dust.

Aizawa grunted in agony, preparing to throw a desperate punch with his left hand.

He never got the chance.

KRACK-THOOOOOM!

A sonic boom shattered the glass of the nearby streetlights.

Shigaraki felt a force like a freight train hit him squarely in the chest. He was violently ripped away from Aizawa, his feet leaving the ground as he was sent tumbling backward through the air, crashing hard onto the concrete fifty feet away.

Aizawa stumbled, gripping his bleeding, partially decayed elbow. He looked up.

Izuku Midoriya stood over him. The boy was crouched in a low, predatory stance, his heavy tail whipping aggressively back and forth, cracking like a whip. His entire lower body was wreathed in a furious tempest of golden-green lightning. His reptilian eyes were glowing, locked onto Shigaraki.

"Aizawa-sensei," Izuku said, his voice cold and vibrating with static. "I told you to let me handle the bosses."

Aizawa coughed, pulling out eye drops with a trembling hand. "Midoriya... I told you to run."

"I'm done running away," Izuku replied softly.

Across the plaza, Shigaraki slowly picked himself up off the ground. He dusted off his pants, glaring through the fingers of the hand on his face. He looked at Izuku. He noted the dinosaur legs, the tail, and the terrifying electrical output.

"What the hell are you?" Shigaraki rasped, scratching his neck furiously. "You're not on the player list. You're a glitch. A bug in the game. You hit me without even touching me... the wind pressure of your speed just blew me away. That's annoying. That's really, really annoying."

Shigaraki’s scratching became frantic, drawing blood from his own neck. "Kurogiri! Why is there a mini-boss in the starting zone?!"

Kurogiri materialized beside Shigaraki. "Tomura Shigaraki, that boy is a massive anomaly. He intercepted my warp gate through sheer physical speed, and he just instantly incapacitated our entire aquatic squad in the Flood Zone using an area-of-effect electrical discharge. He is highly dangerous."

Shigaraki stopped scratching. His single, bloodshot eye locked onto Izuku.

"A speedster with an AoE attack," Shigaraki muttered, a chilling smile returning to his face. "If you're so fast... let's see if you can outrun the game over screen."

Shigaraki pointed a pale finger directly at Izuku.

"Nomu. Crush him."

The massive, bruised-purple monstrosity standing by the fountain shifted. Its exposed brain throbbed. Its beak let out a low, guttural screech that sounded like grinding metal.

Izuku’s slitted pupils contracted. His kinetic vision analyzed the beast. The muscle density was catastrophic. The bone structure was artificially reinforced.

This thing isn't human, Izuku realized, his heart hammering against his ribs. It's a biological weapon.

"Midoriya, move!" Aizawa yelled, recognizing the sheer killing intent radiating from the creature.

The Nomu vanished.

It didn't run. It didn't leap. It possessed a speed that rivaled All Might's, launching itself across the plaza with a concussive shockwave of its own.

In a fraction of a millisecond, the Nomu was directly in front of Izuku. It raised a massive, tree-trunk-sized arm, winding up a punch meant to turn the boy's skull into paste.

Izuku didn't flinch. His nervous system, supercharged by fear and adrenaline, went into absolute overdrive.

Time froze. The Nomu’s fist, moving at bullet speed, hung in the air just inches from Izuku’s face.

Lightning Sprint Evasion.

Izuku didn't just dodge. He executed a perfect, pivot-step utilizing his tail as a counterbalance. He swayed to the left, dropping his right shoulder.

The Nomu’s fist violently cleaved through the empty space where Izuku’s head had been, the air pressure alone shattering the concrete beneath their feet and sending a shockwave that knocked Aizawa backward.

Izuku appeared standing on the Nomu's extended arm.

He didn't hesitate. He channeled his static charge into his right leg, executing a point-blank Thunder-Kick directly into the side of the Nomu's exposed brain.

KA-THOOOOOM!

The impact was localized but devastating. The golden lightning exploded against the creature's skull, and the kinetic force sent the towering monster skidding sideways across the plaza, tearing up chunks of asphalt.

Izuku backflipped, landing gracefully on the balls of his digitigrade feet, his tail keeping his balance perfect.

He expected the monster to be down. That kick had enough force to decapitate a Zero Pointer.

But as the smoke cleared, the Nomu stood up. It didn't look dazed. It didn't look injured. The side of its head had absorbed the blow completely.

"Nice try, glitch," Shigaraki cackled, clapping his hands together. "But the Nomu is the anti-Symbol of Peace. It has Shock Absorption. Your kinetic kicks are completely useless! It'll just absorb the blunt force!"

Izuku’s eyes widened slightly. Shock Absorption? So blunt force is useless. What about the electricity?

Before Izuku could form a strategy, the Nomu shrieked and launched itself again.

This time, the creature didn't throw a single punch. It unleashed a flurry of a hundred high-speed strikes, aiming to overwhelm Izuku with a sheer wall of violence. The air in the plaza turned into a vacuum of shockwaves, tearing the ground to shreds.

It was a terrifying, apocalyptic display of power.

But Izuku Midoriya was the apex of evasion.

He didn't retreat. He stood his ground in the center of the storm. To the naked eye, Izuku simply became a blurring, vibrating afterimage of green light.

He weaved through the barrage of fists with millimeter precision. He ducked under a lethal hook, his reverse-jointed knees dropping him into a split. He leaned backward, letting a haymaker graze the fabric of his suit. He whipped his tail to instantly shift his momentum sideways, letting three consecutive punches strike the ground beside him.

He was dancing in the rain, and not a single drop was touching him.

The Nomu roared, frustrated by its inability to land a hit, increasing its speed. The plaza was rapidly being reduced to a crater.

Aizawa watched in absolute disbelief. The monster was fast enough to kill Pro Heroes in seconds, yet the kid was effortlessly dodging every single attack, his movements perfectly fluid, dictated entirely by instinct and prehistoric biomechanics.

He's untouchable, Aizawa realized. He's actually untouchable.

"Why won't you die?!" Shigaraki screamed, scratching his neck so hard blood began to pool on his collarbone. "Nomu! Grab him! Tear his legs off!"

The Nomu shifted its tactic. Instead of punching, it threw its arms wide, attempting to tackle and bear-hug Izuku in a crushing grip.

Izuku’s eyes flared. Got you.

Izuku didn't dodge away from the tackle. He dodged under it. He slid directly between the Nomu's massive legs, his claws sparking against the ground.

He sprang up behind the monster. He had realized something crucial. Shigaraki said the Nomu had Shock Absorption. It absorbed blunt force. But it was still biological. It still had a nervous system.

Izuku took a deep breath. He didn't execute a kick.

Instead, he began to sprint.

He ran in a tight, twenty-foot circle around the massive Nomu.

Lightning Sprint: Cyclone.

He accelerated to Mach 1, then Mach 2, then Mach 3. He moved so fast that he created a massive, localized tornado of superheated air and golden-green plasma. The Nomu stood in the eye of the storm, completely trapped by the sheer wind pressure of the cyclone.

"What is he doing?!" Shigaraki shielded his eyes against the blinding light of the vortex.

Inside the cyclone, Izuku was generating the absolute maximum capacitance his body could hold. The friction of his scales against the air, combined with his hyper-dense muscle contractions, built up an electrical charge that rivaled a natural thunderstorm. His legs were burning. His scales felt like they were melting.

He can absorb shock, Izuku thought, his eyes glowing entirely green. Let's see him absorb a million volts of raw plasma!

Izuku violently stopped running, anchoring his claws into the ground and whipping his tail inward. He channeled the entire, massive electrical storm he had just generated directly into his right hand.

He launched himself into the center of the cyclone, aiming squarely at the Nomu's chest.

He didn't punch it. He pressed his open palm flat against the creature's sternum.

STATIC OVERDRIVE: EXTINCTION THUNDER!

The release of energy was cataclysmic.

A blinding pillar of golden lightning erupted from Izuku’s palm, completely bypassing the Nomu's physical Shock Absorption. The millions of volts of electricity surged directly into the monster's bloodstream, superheating its nervous system, violently frying its exposed brain, and detonating the air inside its lungs.

The sound was like a bomb going off inside a cathedral.

The electrical shockwave blew the cyclone apart, sending a massive electromagnetic pulse sweeping through the entire USJ dome, shattering every remaining lightbulb and blowing out the security cameras.

Izuku was blown backward by the recoil of his own attack, skidding across the plaza and coming to a halt near Aizawa.

Silence descended on the USJ.

In the center of the blackened, glassed crater, the Nomu stood perfectly still for a second. Its exposed brain was completely charred black, smoking heavily.

Then, the massive biological weapon collapsed backward, hitting the ground with a heavy, lifeless thud. It didn't regenerate. It didn't twitch. Its nervous system had been entirely obliterated by the voltage.

Izuku dropped to one knee, panting heavily. The green scales on his right arm and legs were dull and smoking. His muscles screamed in agony. He had exceeded his capacitance, and he knew he couldn't run again for a while.

Shigaraki stared at the smoking corpse of his ultimate weapon. His jaw dropped. The hand on his face twitched.

"You... you cheated," Shigaraki whispered, his voice trembling with sheer, unadulterated terror. "That was the anti-Symbol of Peace. It was supposed to kill All Might. You... you glitch. You ruined my game!"

Shigaraki raised his hands, preparing to charge at Izuku in a blind, suicidal rage.

But before he could take a step, the massive, reinforced steel doors at the entrance of the USJ were blown completely off their hinges, flying through the air and crashing into the observation deck.

A massive figure stood in the doorway, stripped of his usual smile.

"IT IS FINE NOW!" All Might roared, his voice devoid of joy, echoing with absolute, terrifying fury. "I AM HERE!"

Shigaraki froze. He looked at All Might, then looked back at the smoking crater where his Nomu lay defeated by a fourteen-year-old boy.

"Kurogiri," Shigaraki rasped, his voice cracking. "It's game over. We're leaving."

The purple mist enveloped Shigaraki, and in a blink, the League of Villains vanished from the USJ.

Down in the plaza, Izuku Midoriya let out a long, shaky breath. He looked down at his trembling, scaly hands, and then at his heavy legs. He had held the line. He had protected his teacher. He hadn't run away.

As All Might leaped down into the plaza, his furious expression shifting into one of utter shock upon seeing the defeated Nomu and the exhausted boy, Izuku allowed himself a small, tired smile.

He was the Lightning Raptor. And he was finally exactly where he belonged.
