What If Deku Had an Overpowered Therizinosaurus Quirk for Blade Combat

The world is not born equal. It was a harsh, immutable truth that Izuku Midoriya learned not through the absence of power, but through the terrifying magnitude of it.

For most children, the manifestation of a Quirk at the age of four was a moment of joyous celebration. It was a rite of passage, heralded by floating toys, sparks dancing across fingertips, or perhaps a sudden, harmless change in hair color. It was a day parents recorded on home cameras, laughing as their toddlers discovered the magic hidden within their own genetics.

For Izuku, it was a day of blood, splintered wood, and primal terror.

The memory was etched into his mind with the agonizing precision of a diamond-tipped chisel. It had been a quiet Tuesday afternoon. The golden light of a setting sun was filtering through the window of his All Might-themed bedroom, casting long, heroic shadows across his carpet. He had been holding his favorite action figure, tracing the painted muscles of the Symbol of Peace, dreaming of the day he, too, would stand with a fearless smile and declare to the world that everyone was safe.

First came the itch. It started deep within his forearms, a strange, crawling sensation beneath the skin, as if a colony of ants were trying to burrow their way out. He had scratched at it, whining softly, but the itch quickly blossomed into a deep, throbbing ache.

Then came the heat. It felt as though molten iron was being poured into his veins. Izuku dropped the All Might figure, clutching his wrists as tears welled in his large, emerald eyes. He opened his mouth to call for his mother, but the cry died in his throat as the anatomy of his hands began to violently shift.

The bones in his wrists cracked, a sickening, wet sound that echoed in the quiet room. His skin stretched, turning a bruised, vibrant purple before tearing open.

SNIKT. SNIKT. SNIKT.

From the back of his hands and the top of his wrists, three massive, curved blades erupted.

They were not bone. They were not simple keratin. They were a terrifying, gleaming metallic-organic alloy, gunmetal-grey and catching the sunset with a sinister glint. Even at four years old, the blades extended a full foot and a half past his fingertips—curved like reaper’s scythes, razor-sharp, and unbearably heavy.

The sheer weight of the sudden appendages dragged Izuku’s small arms down. He stumbled forward, screaming in panic and pain. As he fell, his arms flailed instinctively to catch himself.

The blades met the solid oak of his bedroom door. There was barely a sound of resistance. The metal sheared through the thick wood as if it were nothing more than wet tissue paper. Izuku collapsed onto the floor, sobbing uncontrollably, surrounded by perfectly sliced ribbons of what used to be a heavy, reinforced door.

"Izuku?!" Inko Midoriya’s voice rang out from the kitchen, laced with immediate panic at the sound of the crash. Footsteps pounded down the hallway.

She rounded the corner and froze. The door was gone, replaced by a jagged, gaping hole. And there, in the center of the room, was her beautiful, sweet baby boy, crying hysterically, his small hands anchored to the floor by six terrifyingly long, metallic blades.

For a split second, sheer, unadulterated fear gripped Inko’s heart. They looked like weapons forged in a nightmare. But then Izuku looked up at her. His eyes—once perfectly round and innocent—had changed. The pupils had narrowed into sharp, reptilian slits, surrounded by a vibrant, glowing emerald iris. Patches of microscopic, dark-green scales had erupted along his forearms and cheeks. Yet, despite the monstrous transformation, it was still her Izuku. He was just a terrified little boy trapped in a body that had suddenly turned into a weapon.

"Mommy!" he wailed, trying to crawl toward her, the blades gouging deep, effortless trenches into the hardwood floor.

Inko didn't hesitate. Shoving aside her fear, she rushed forward, dropping to her knees. She didn't care about the sharp edges; she carefully navigated her arms around the massive scythes and pulled her son into a fierce, desperate embrace, weeping into his curly green hair.

"It's okay, baby," she sobbed, holding him tight. "Mommy's here. I've got you. You're okay."

That afternoon changed the trajectory of Izuku Midoriya’s life forever.

The doctor’s visit the following day was a whirlwind of X-rays, blood tests, and hushed conversations. The specialist, a tall man with a mild glowing Quirk, looked at the X-rays with a mixture of professional awe and deep concern.

"It is a Mutant-Transformation hybrid Quirk," the doctor explained, pointing to the glowing white lines on the film that extended from Izuku’s modified carpal bones. "The genetic markers point to an ancestral regression, specifically mirroring the physiology of the Therizinosaurus—a dinosaur from the Late Cretaceous period. However, Quirk genetics have amplified it. The blades are a hyper-dense keratin-metal alloy. They are, for all intents and purposes, indestructible, and sharper than surgical steel."

Inko wrung her hands, looking at Izuku, who was sitting on the examination table. The blades had retracted into his forearms, leaving only thin, barely visible slits just above his knuckles, surrounded by patches of tough, green scales. "But... a dinosaur? Will he be dangerous? He cut through a solid oak door without even trying."

"The Therizinosaurus," the doctor noted with a small, reassuring smile, "was a herbivore. A gentle giant of its time. It used those terrifying claws to pull down branches and defend itself, not to hunt. However... your son’s Quirk is immensely powerful. The sheer density of his muscle fibers, particularly in his legs and core to support the weight of these blades, is already adapting. He will be incredibly strong. But, Mrs. Midoriya, a Quirk like this—one that is so inherently lethal in its design—requires immense discipline. If he loses control of his emotions and manifests these blades in a crowd..."

The doctor didn't need to finish the sentence. The implication hung heavy in the sterile air of the clinic.

Inko took the doctor's words to heart. She knew society. She knew how people with "villainous" or "lethal" Quirks were treated. They were feared. They were ostracized. They were pushed into the shadows until they became the monsters the world expected them to be. She refused to let that happen to her gentle, heroic boy.

If Izuku’s body was a weapon, she would give him the mind of a master swordsman.

A month later, at the age of five, Izuku was enrolled in the most prestigious, disciplined Kendo and bladed martial arts dojo in Musutafu.

The dojo master, an elderly hero named 'Steel-Scribe' who possessed a blade-summoning Quirk himself, took one look at Izuku's trembling, scythe-like claws and understood the assignment.

"You are afraid of your own hands, Midoriya Izuku," the old master had said on the first day, his voice like grinding stones. Izuku, sitting in seiza, his heavy, three-foot claws resting on the tatami mats, nodded tearfully.

"Good," Steel-Scribe replied, rapping his wooden shinai against the floor. "Fear is the mother of caution. A sword without a sheath is a danger to all, including the wielder. From this day forward, your mind must become the sheath. You will not learn how to kill here. You will learn how not to."

For the next ten years, Izuku’s life was defined by rigorous, unyielding discipline. While other children played heroes and villains in the park, recklessly throwing fireballs or stretching their limbs, Izuku was in the dojo. He learned that fighting with blades was not about hacking and slashing; it was about geometry, momentum, and extreme restraint.

Because his Therizinosaurus claws were so heavy and long, traditional brawling was impossible. A standard punch would just result in him awkwardly stabbing his target or unbalancing himself. Instead, under Steel-Scribe’s tutelage, Izuku developed a wholly unique martial art. He combined the fluid, dance-like footwork of Capoeira with dual-sword dancing. He learned to use his enhanced, dinosaur-like leg strength—which had grown thick and incredibly powerful—to launch himself into the air, spinning and twirling to carry the momentum of his heavy claws rather than fighting against it.

He learned to fight with the flat sides of his blades to bruise rather than cut. He learned to retract them a fraction of a second before impact. He learned absolute, perfect control.

But Izuku didn't just learn martial arts. Being born with a lethal Quirk meant he was never bullied for being weak; he was feared for being strong. This forced Izuku to become incredibly hyper-aware of his surroundings and hyper-analytical. He began studying Quirks, writing in his infamous notebooks, not just to learn about heroes, but to understand how to dismantle any Quirk without accidentally killing the person wielding it.

His confidence grew, forged in the fires of endless sparring sessions and deep meditation. He wasn't the stuttering, timid boy he might have been in another life. He was quiet, intensely observant, and possessed a calm that unnerved adults. His green eyes, perpetually fixed with reptilian slit-pupils, held a predatory focus that he constantly had to soften with a warm, practiced smile.

And then, there was Katsuki Bakugo.

In a different universe, Bakugo might have tormented a powerless Izuku. But in this reality, Bakugo saw something entirely different when he looked at the green-haired boy. He saw his only true rival.

Their dynamic at Aldera Junior High was legendary among the student body. They were the two undisputed titans of the school, but they couldn't be more fundamentally different. Bakugo was fire, volume, and overwhelming blunt force. Izuku was wind, silence, and surgical, lethal precision.

"You’re holding back again, Deku!"

The explosion rocked the gymnasium, sending a cloud of dust and scorched wood into the air. Katsuki Bakugo landed heavily, smoke billowing from his palms, his crimson eyes locked furiously on the figure emerging from the smoke.

"Deku"—a nickname Bakugo had coined not to mean 'useless,' but rather a mocking abbreviation for Dekunobou, a wooden blockhead, someone who stubbornly refused to budge or go all out.

Izuku stood calmly on the other side of the gym crater. He was in his PE uniform, the fabric tight against the muscular, slightly scaled forearms. His arms were raised in a relaxed, defensive guard. From his wrists extended his Therizino-Blades. Now that he was fourteen, the claws had grown proportionally. They were a terrifying three feet long each, glinting under the fluorescent lights.

"I'm not holding back, Kacchan," Izuku said, his voice calm, his tone even. "I evaded your attack perfectly. If I had countered, I would have severed your right arm at the elbow."

The sheer matter-of-factness of the statement made Bakugo’s eye twitch. It wasn't a boast. It was an analytical observation, delivered by a boy whose eyes were currently tracking Bakugo's pulse and muscle twitches like a hawk watching a field mouse.

"Shut up!" Bakugo roared, propelling himself forward with a blast from his left hand. "Stop treating me like a fragile piece of glass! A real hero crushes the villain! You just dance around like a damn ballerina! Fight me!"

Bakugo swung a massive right hook, sparks igniting into a roaring explosion aimed squarely at Izuku’s face.

Izuku didn't flinch. His thick, powerful legs anchored into the floorboards. With a fluid, blindingly fast motion, he swung his left arm up. He didn't block the fist. Instead, he angled the massive flat side of his scythe directly into the expanding shockwave of the explosion.

The physics of Izuku’s Quirk were something he had studied relentlessly. By vibrating the muscles in his forearms at incredible, microscopic speeds—a technique he called Resonance—the metal-keratin blades would hum at a high frequency.

VMMMMMM.

The high-frequency blade met the explosion. Instead of absorbing the blast, the vibrating metal literally sheared the shockwave in two. The explosion parted around Izuku like water breaking against a river stone, blowing out the windows behind him but leaving him entirely untouched.

Using the momentum of his block, Izuku pivoted on his heel, ducking under Bakugo's extended arm. He spun, his right arm sweeping in a wide, terrifying arc. The sharp edge of his right claw stopped exactly one millimeter from the side of Bakugo’s neck. The sheer wind pressure generated by the swing ruffled Bakugo’s spiky blonde hair and sliced a clean line through the gym wall fifty feet away.

The gym went dead silent. Bakugo froze, the cold, vibrating metal humming against his skin, sending goosebumps down his spine.

"You rely too much on wide-area attacks, Kacchan," Izuku murmured, retracting the blade with a slick snikt sound. The metal melted back into the slits on his hands. "Your telegraphing leaves your center of gravity exposed. Against a lethal-type Quirk, that opening is fatal."

Bakugo swatted Izuku’s hand away, his face flushed with a mixture of rage and begrudging respect. "I would've blasted you before that claw touched me," he growled, though the sweat on his brow told a different story.

"Maybe," Izuku smiled, the terrifying slit-pupils softening back into the friendly boy Bakugo had known since childhood. "We'll have to see at the U.A. Entrance Exams. I'm going to beat you there, Kacchan."

"In your dreams, lizard-freak," Bakugo scoffed, turning away to hide his smirk. "I'm taking the number one spot. You can have second."

The rest of the school day passed in a blur of mundane classes and career counseling. When the final bell rang, Izuku packed his burnt, slightly battered notebook—Number 13 in his hero analysis series—into his yellow backpack. He walked out of the school gates alone, preferring the quiet solitude of his walk home to the chaotic chatter of his classmates.

The route home took him through an old, graffiti-covered underpass. It was a shortcut, usually empty at this time of day. Izuku walked with a steady, rhythmic gait, his mind wandering to his training.

His Quirk was inherently destructive. He knew that. When he looked at the top heroes—All Might with his dazzling smile and overwhelming, non-lethal strength; Best Jeanist with his elegant restraint; Edgeshot with his precision—he wondered where a boy with dinosaur scythes fit in. He wasn't built for gentle rescues. His Quirk was a predator's tool, designed by evolution to eviscerate.

Can I really be a Symbol of Peace? Izuku thought, looking down at his scaled hands. Can someone who looks like a villain make people feel safe?

A strange, squelching sound broke him from his reverie.

Izuku stopped. His slit-pupils dilated instantly, adapting to the shadows of the tunnel. His predatory instincts, honed by a decade of martial arts, screamed at him. He dropped his center of gravity, his legs bracing instinctively.

"A medium-sized meat shield..." a wet, guttural voice echoed off the concrete walls.

From the manhole cover ten feet away, a horrifying mass of dark green slime erupted. It smelled of sewage and rotting garbage. Two massive, bulbous eyes and a jagged mouth formed within the sludge. It surged forward with frightening speed, a tidal wave of liquid filth aimed directly at the boy.

"Just stand still, kid! It'll only hurt for about forty-five seconds!" the Sludge Villain cackled, launching a tendril of slime to grab Izuku’s legs.

Izuku didn't panic. Panic was for the untrained.

Evaluate, his mind raced. Fluid body. No solid skeletal structure to target. Blunt force will be absorbed. Cutting will only displace the mass temporarily. Suffocation risk is extreme.

Before Izuku could formulate a complete counter-attack, the villain lunged, a massive wave of sludge crashing over him. The sheer weight and momentum of the fluid slammed Izuku against the tunnel wall. Slime forced its way into his mouth and up his nose.

The world went dark. The smell was overpowering—a toxic mix of methane and decay. Oxygen was instantly cut off. Izuku thrashed, his hands clawing at the thick, viscous substance surrounding his face, but his fingers just slipped through.

“You are a meat suit, kid. A perfect disguise,” the villain’s voice vibrated through the sludge directly into Izuku’s ears. “Don't fight it. You can't hit what you can't hold.”

Izuku’s lungs burned. Black spots danced at the edge of his vision. The primal, human part of his brain screamed in terror. He was dying. He was going to die here in the dark, suffocated by living sewage.

But then, the words of Steel-Scribe echoed in the chambers of his fading consciousness.

Fear is the mother of caution. Your mind must be the sheath.

Izuku closed his eyes. He forced his racing heart to slow down. He stopped thrashing. He needed oxygen, but panic would only consume it faster. He rooted his thick, powerful legs into the concrete of the tunnel floor, finding his stance.

Breathe in the mind. Exhale in the strike.

Izuku’s eyes snapped open. The emerald irises glowed fiercely in the gloom.

SNIKT.

From his wrists, the three-foot Therizino-Blades deployed with a sound like sharpening a guillotine. They pierced through the thick sludge easily, extending out into the open air of the tunnel.

The villain paused, feeling the cold metal slide through his liquid body. “What the—? Claws? Nice Quirk, kid, but like I said, you can't cut water!”

Izuku didn't try to cut water. He flexed the muscles in his forearms, engaging the Resonance technique he had perfected over the years. He pushed the micro-vibrations past his normal limits, pushing them into the red line.

VMMMMMMMMMM!

The blades began to blur, vibrating at a frequency so high that the air around them began to superheat. A high-pitched, mechanical screech filled the tunnel, like a jet engine spinning up to maximum velocity.

Inside the slime, the liquid surrounding Izuku's blades immediately began to boil and vaporize from the intense friction. The villain screamed, a bubbling, gurgling sound of agony as the water in his body flashed into steam.

“Ahhh! Hot! It burns! What are you doing?!” the sludge villain shrieked, his grip on Izuku loosening as he tried to pull away from the superheated metal.

That was all the space Izuku needed.

With a powerful burst from his legs, Izuku tore himself out of the wall of sludge, gasping in a lungful of sweet, stale tunnel air. He didn't retreat. He stepped into the villain's guard.

Fluid body, Izuku calculated rapidly, his eyes tracking the shifting mass of the villain. I cannot cut the fluid. But I can cut the air pressure holding it together.

Izuku crossed his arms over his chest in an 'X' formation, the super-heated, vibrating blades humming like trapped hornets. He dropped his stance lower, gathering every ounce of kinetic energy into his hips and core.

Therizino Style: Cretaceous Cross!

With a roar that was half-human, half-dinosaur, Izuku swung both arms outward in a massive, devastating cross-slash.

He didn't hit the villain directly. He swung his blades incredibly fast, relying on the vibrating, heavy metal to displace the air in the tunnel. The sheer physical force of the swing, combined with the high-frequency vibration, created a localized vacuum.

Two crescent-shaped blades of hyper-compressed wind pressure exploded from his claws. They formed a glowing, transparent 'X' that slammed into the Sludge Villain.

The impact was cataclysmic. The wind pressure didn't just cut the villain; it violently displaced the air, creating a shockwave that blasted the liquid body apart. The sludge was blown into a thousand perfectly diced droplets, splattering against the walls, the ceiling, and the floor with concussive force. The villain’s eyes and mouth were blasted in opposite directions, rendering him instantly unconscious and unable to reform.

The wind slash continued down the tunnel, carving a shallow 'X' into the concrete fifty yards away before dissipating into a fierce gale that rustled Izuku’s green hair.

Silence rushed back into the underpass, save for the gentle patter of sludge raining down from the ceiling.

Izuku stood frozen in his follow-through stance for a long moment. His chest heaved as he sucked in air. Slowly, the adrenaline began to ebb. He blinked, the slit-pupils widening slightly as he looked at the absolute mess he had just made of the tunnel.

"Okay," Izuku breathed, his voice shaking slightly. "Control. That was... close."

He stood up straight, disengaging the vibration in his arms. The blades cooled rapidly. With a familiar snikt, he retracted them into his arms, the metal sliding seamlessly away until only his scaled hands remained.

He looked at the puddle of slime near his feet. A single, bulbous eye stared blankly upward.

"Right. Evidence. Containment," Izuku muttered to himself, slipping back into his analytical mindset. He unzipped his yellow backpack. Luckily, he had stopped at a convenience store earlier that week and had shoved a handful of plastic grocery bags into the bottom of his bag.

He pulled them out, shaking them open. With calm, methodical precision—and trying very hard not to gag at the smell—Izuku began scooping handfuls of the unconscious slime villain into the plastic bags. He tied them off with tight double knots, making sure not a drop could escape.

He was just tying off the third and final bag, humming a nervous tune to calm his lingering nerves, when a metallic CLANG echoed from the manhole cover behind him.

The heavy iron disc was thrown into the air like a frisbee. A massive, towering figure erupted from the sewers, landing with a ground-shaking thud that sent a tremor through Izuku’s boots.

"HAVE NO FEAR, CITIZEN!" a voice boomed, echoing with the force of a thunderclap. "FOR I AM—"

All Might froze.

The Number One Hero, the Symbol of Peace, stood in the dim light of the underpass, his trademark smile faltering just a fraction in sheer bewilderment.

He had spent the last twenty minutes chasing down the slippery Sludge Villain, fully expecting to find a hostage situation or a severely injured civilian. Instead, he found a tunnel plastered in a thin layer of perfectly segmented slime. And in the center of it all stood a fourteen-year-old boy in a black school uniform, holding two plastic grocery bags filled with the villain, looking up at him with wide, starry eyes.

"All Might..." Izuku whispered, dropping the bags. They hit the floor with a wet thwack.

All Might blinked, looking at the shallow, X-shaped trench carved into the concrete walls further down the tunnel. He looked back at the boy. He noted the thick, powerful build of the kid's legs, the subtle, dark green scales on his forearms, and the sharp, reptilian slits of his pupils.

"Young man," All Might said, stepping forward, his voice a mix of awe and professional curiosity. "Did you... did you do this?"

"I... I was attacked, sir!" Izuku stuttered, suddenly feeling like a child again, his carefully cultivated stoicism evaporating in the presence of his lifelong idol. "He tried to suffocate me. I didn't want to use my Quirk in public without a license, but it was self-defense! I made sure not to strike his core directly so I wouldn't kill him, I just used the wind pressure from my blades to disperse his mass, and then I gathered him up so he couldn't reform!"

Izuku slapped a hand over his mouth, realizing he was rambling.

All Might’s blue eyes widened. He analyzed the scene again. The sheer power required to generate a wind-pressure slash capable of dicing a fluid villain was immense. It was the kind of raw, devastating power All Might himself wielded. But to do it with such surgical precision? To calculate the exact amount of force needed to neutralize but not kill, and then to calmly bag the villain up like groceries?

This boy, All Might thought, a thrill running down his spine. He has the power of a monster, but the control and heart of a seasoned pro.

"Ha... HAHAHAHA!" All Might suddenly threw his head back and laughed, a booming, joyous sound that chased away the lingering gloom of the tunnel. He stepped forward and placed a massive, heavy hand on Izuku’s shoulder.

"You apologize for defending yourself? And with such incredible mastery of your Quirk? Young man, you have done me a great service today!"

Izuku’s eyes watered. "R-Really?"

"Indeed!" All Might beamed, picking up the plastic bags. He slung them onto his belt. "I was careless and lost my prey in the sewers. But thanks to your quick thinking and incredible power, the city is safe. What is your name, my boy?"

"Midoriya, sir! Izuku Midoriya!"

"Well, Young Midoriya. You have the makings of a magnificent hero." All Might’s smile softened into something more genuine, less theatrical. He looked at Izuku’s hands, noticing the faint, silver slits where the blades had emerged. "Though, I must ask. The wind pressure... that came from a blade Quirk, didn't it?"

Izuku nodded, looking down. "Therizinosaurus physiology, sir. I... I can extend three-foot metallic keratin claws from my wrists. I vibrate them to increase their cutting power and displace air."

All Might hummed thoughtfully. "A heavy, lethal-type mutation. Those are incredibly difficult to master. The recoil and weight must put tremendous strain on your upper body. I noticed your legs are heavily muscled, but your core and shoulders are lagging behind. If you keep swinging with that much force as you grow, you'll tear your own rotator cuffs to shreds."

Izuku’s head snapped up, shocked. In ten seconds, All Might had perfectly diagnosed the exact physical bottleneck Izuku had been struggling with in his martial arts training. "Y-Yes, sir! My Sensei says the same thing. The blades are getting heavier as I grow, and it's hard to maintain my center of gravity when I swing at maximum velocity."

All Might stood silently for a moment. He had been looking for a successor for One For All, a vessel to carry his flame. But looking at Izuku Midoriya, he saw something else. He saw a boy who didn't need a new Quirk. He had one of the most overpowered, devastating Quirks All Might had ever seen. What this boy needed was a teacher who understood overwhelming, bone-shattering physical power.

"Young Midoriya," All Might said, his voice dropping slightly in volume, taking on a serious, mentor-like tone. "Where are you aiming to go for high school?"

"U.A. High School, sir! The hero course!" Izuku replied instantly.

"The Entrance Exam is in ten months," All Might noted. He crossed his massive arms. "Your technique is flawless. Your mind is sharp. But your vessel—your body—is imbalanced. A sword is only as good as the arm that swings it. And an arm is only as good as the core that anchors it."

Izuku hung on every word, his heart pounding against his ribs.

"I cannot train your blades," All Might smiled, leaning in slightly. "But I know a thing or two about building a body capable of handling immense, overwhelming force. If you are willing to bleed, sweat, and work harder than you ever have in your life for the next ten months... I would like to personally train you, Izuku Midoriya."

Izuku stopped breathing. The tunnel seemed to spin. The Number One Hero. His idol. The man he had modeled his entire life after, was offering to train him.

He didn't think about the pain of his childhood. He didn't think about the fear his claws had caused, or the countless nights he spent wondering if a monster could be a hero. He looked at All Might, his green, slit-pupil eyes burning with an unshakeable, ferocious determination.

Without a word, Izuku bowed at a perfect ninety-degree angle.

"I will not let you down, All Might!" Izuku shouted, his voice echoing loudly off the tunnel walls.

All Might laughed again, patting the boy on the back hard enough to make him stumble. "I know you won't, Young Midoriya! Now, let us get this villain to the police, and then... your real training begins!"

As they walked out of the underpass together, stepping out of the shadows and into the warm light of the late afternoon, Izuku looked at his hands. The scales were still there. The deadly weapons were still hidden just beneath his skin. But for the first time in his life, they didn't feel like a curse.

They felt like the tools that would carve his path to becoming the greatest hero the world had ever seen.

The human body is an astonishing machine, capable of adapting to almost any stress placed upon it, provided that stress doesn't kill it first. For ten grueling, agonizing, and transcendent months, Izuku Midoriya tested the very limits of this biological truth.

Dagobah Municipal Beach Park had once been a picturesque stretch of coastline. Over the years, however, the changing ocean currents and the apathy of the local populace had transformed it into an illegal dumping ground. Mountains of rusted refrigerators, crushed cars, dilapidated washing machines, and tangled rebar choked the white sands. It was a graveyard of metal.

For Izuku Midoriya, it was a whetstone.

"Lower your center of gravity, Young Midoriya! You are fighting the weight of your own weapons, not the enemy!" All Might’s voice boomed over the crash of the morning waves. The Number One Hero stood atop a towering pile of rusted pickup trucks in his muscular form, clad in his signature white t-shirt and cargo pants, a stopwatch ticking in his massive hand.

Below him, the beach was a blur of motion and screaming steel.

Izuku breathed in sharply, tasting the salt in the cold morning air. He dropped into a low crouch, his thick, heavily muscled legs sinking slightly into the soft sand. From his wrists, the three-foot Therizino-Blades caught the early dawn light, gleaming with a menacing, gunmetal sheen.

He didn't just swing his arms. To wield six feet of solid, hyper-dense keratin-metal alloy without tearing his own shoulders out of their sockets, Izuku had to use his entire body as a pendulum.

He lunged forward, targeting a stack of four rusted washing machines. As his right arm swept out in a devastating arc, Izuku pivoted sharply on his left heel. He twisted his hips, engaging the massive, hardened muscles of his core that All Might had spent the last three months torturing into existence. The kinetic energy traveled from his anchored feet, up his thighs, through his torso, and exploded out into his shoulder.

Resonance: Low Frequency.

The blades vibrated with a dull, menacing hum. They struck the washing machines. There was no explosive crash, no shower of sparks. There was only the sickeningly smooth sound of steel parting ways. Izuku didn't stop. Using the centrifugal force of his first swing, he allowed the momentum to carry his body into a breathtaking, mid-air spin. He launched himself off his right foot, completing a full 360-degree horizontal rotation—a move borrowed directly from Capoeira—and brought his left blade crashing down through the roof of a discarded sedan.

He landed smoothly, in a low, three-point stance. Behind him, the four washing machines slid apart along a perfect, diagonal axis, their innards exposed like dissected frogs. A second later, the top half of the sedan slid off its chassis, hitting the sand with a heavy thud.

"Time!" All Might called out, leaping down from the pile of trucks and landing with a shockwave that kicked up a cloud of sand. He clicked the stopwatch. "Forty-two seconds to clear the sector. Your rotational momentum is improving drastically. However..."

All Might stepped forward, tapping a massive finger against Izuku’s right shoulder. "You are still over-extending on your horizontal sweeps. When you strike with the right claw, you allow the momentum to pull your left shoulder forward. Against an opponent with a blunt-force Quirk, that creates a half-second window where your guard is completely open. If you miss, or if they dodge, you are off balance."

Izuku retracted his blades with a wet snikt, the massive scythes melting back into the small, scaly slits on his forearms. He rolled his shoulders, wincing slightly as the lactic acid burned in his joints. He grabbed a towel from a nearby cooler and wiped his sweaty brow.

"It's the sand, All Might," Izuku analyzed, pulling out a battered notebook from his duffel bag, his hands shaking slightly from the exertion. "My combat style relies heavily on anchoring my legs to redirect the centrifugal force of the blades. The sand absorbs the kinetic energy of my footwork. When I push off to counter the rotation, the ground gives way, forcing my upper body to overcompensate."

All Might grinned, a massive, brilliant flash of white teeth. "Precisely! And why do you think I chose a beach filled with loose sand and heavy metal for your training?"

Izuku paused, his emerald, slit-pupil eyes widening in realization. "Because... the U.A. Entrance Exam."

"Exactly!" All Might boomed, placing his hands on his hips. "The U.A. practical exams are notorious for their chaotic environments. You will not be fighting on the smooth, polished tatami mats of your dojo. You will be fighting on rubble, on cracked concrete, on moving debris. If your balance relies on perfect footing, you will fall. You must learn to anchor your core in mid-air, to use the momentum of one blade to counter the weight of the other. You must become a gyroscope of destruction, my boy!"

Izuku nodded fiercely, etching the lesson into his notebook.

The past ten months had been transformative. All Might’s training regimen wasn't about teaching Izuku how to fight—Steel-Scribe had already given him a flawless foundation in bladed martial arts. All Might’s training was entirely focused on biomechanics. It was grueling physical conditioning designed to turn Izuku’s torso into a slab of iron capable of anchoring his monstrous Quirk.

They did thousands of core-stabilization exercises. Izuku dragged hollowed-out engine blocks across the beach using only his abdominal strength. He practiced swinging his blades while balancing on a single, rolling log in the surf. All Might had taught him how to breathe through his diaphragm to stabilize his spine during heavy impacts.

The physical changes were undeniable. Izuku was still relatively short, but his physique had hardened into something resembling a coiled spring. His legs, already naturally thick and powerful due to his Therizinosaurus mutation, were now corded with dense, explosive muscle. His forearms, covered in patches of tough, microscopic green scales, were visibly thicker to support the housing of his metallic claws. He no longer looked like a fragile boy carrying dangerous weapons; he looked like a weapon himself.

But more than his body, his mind had sharpened. Spending every morning with his idol had stripped away the crippling fanboy anxiety. He still worshipped All Might, but now he saw the man beneath the legend—a brilliant tactician who understood the raw physics of combat better than anyone alive.

"We have two weeks left until the exam," All Might said, his tone softening as he watched the sunrise paint the ocean in hues of orange and gold. "You have cleared nearly this entire beach, Izuku. Your strength is undeniable. But I must ask you... how is your heart?"

Izuku stopped writing. He looked up at the Symbol of Peace. "My heart, sir?"

All Might sighed, sitting down on the hood of a relatively intact car. "A blade Quirk is a heavy burden. It is designed to sever, to break, to kill. I have seen many heroes with lethal Quirks succumb to the darkness of their own power. They become cold. They begin to see villains not as people to be apprehended, but as meat to be butchered. During the exam, you will be unleashed. Adrenaline will run high. Can you control the beast, Young Midoriya?"

Izuku looked down at his hands. He flexed his fingers, watching the green scales shift over his knuckles. He remembered the Sludge Villain. He remembered the terrifying sound of the man's liquid body boiling away, the sheer destructive force he had unleashed in that tunnel.

"I won't lie, All Might," Izuku said softly, his slit-pupils narrowing as he looked out at the water. "When I release the blades, my instincts change. It feels... natural. Like a predator opening its jaws. But..." He clenched his fists, looking up at his mentor with a warm, resolute smile. "My Sensei taught me that the mind is the sheath. And you taught me that true strength is the restraint to only use what is necessary to save a life. I am not a monster. I am a hero. My blades will only ever be a shield."

All Might stared at the fourteen-year-old boy, feeling a profound sense of pride swell in his massive chest. He stood up, towering over Izuku, and rested a heavy hand on his shoulder.

"Then let us finish this, Izuku Midoriya. Let us show U.A. High School the hero you have become."

The morning of the U.A. Entrance Exam was crisp and clear, the sky a brilliant, unblemished blue.

Izuku stood before the towering gates of U.A. High School, clad in his black middle school uniform. The sheer scale of the institution was staggering. The main building looked more like a modern fortress of glass and steel than a high school, a testament to the elite status of the heroes produced within its walls.

He adjusted the straps of his yellow backpack, taking a deep, centering breath. He didn't feel the nervous nausea he had expected. Instead, he felt a calm, thrumming energy beneath his skin.

"Out of my way, lizard-freak!"

A rough shoulder shoved past Izuku, nearly clipping his arm. Izuku casually shifted his weight, absorbing the bump without losing his balance. He turned to see Katsuki Bakugo storming ahead, his hands shoved deep into his pockets, his spiky ash-blonde hair bristling with aggressive energy.

"Good morning, Kacchan," Izuku said, his voice mild and perfectly composed.

Bakugo stopped and glared over his shoulder. For the past ten months, their dynamic had been a powder keg waiting to ignite. Bakugo had noticed Izuku’s physical changes. He had seen the way Izuku’s posture had straightened, the way his thick legs moved with predatory grace even when he was just walking down the hallway. It infuriated Bakugo. The 'blockhead' wasn't just holding back anymore; he was actively preparing to surpass him.

"Don't talk to me," Bakugo growled, his crimson eyes narrowing. "You might have gotten a little buffer, Deku, but this exam is about raw destruction. You can't slice up an entire city. I'm going to blow you out of the water. I'll get the highest score in U.A. history."

"I look forward to seeing your results, Kacchan," Izuku replied simply, not rising to the bait. "Just don't overexert your forearms with those large-scale blasts. The recoil might slow you down in the later stages."

Bakugo’s jaw clenched. The fact that Izuku was giving him genuine tactical advice felt like the ultimate insult. "Shut up! I don't need advice from a walking lawnmower!" With an angry scoff, Bakugo stomped away toward the auditorium.

Izuku shook his head with a small, fond smile. Kacchan would never change, and in a way, that consistency was comforting.

He resumed his walk toward the entrance, his mind already shifting into analytical mode. He was going over the potential layouts of the urban combat zones when he heard a sudden, sharp gasp behind him.

"Whoa—!"

Izuku turned just in time to see a girl with short, gravity-defying brown hair trip over an uneven paving stone. She was falling face-first toward the concrete, her arms flailing wildly in a desperate attempt to catch herself.

Izuku didn't think; his body reacted.

Ten months of intercepting high-speed projectiles on the beach and a decade of martial arts training kicked in. His thick legs fired like pistons. In a fraction of a second, he closed the five-foot gap between them. He didn't grab her roughly by the arms—that could dislocate a shoulder at this speed. Instead, he dropped low, sweeping his arms out in a gentle, cradle-like motion.

He caught her seamlessly, his right arm supporting her waist and his left hand catching her shoulder. His footwork absorbed her forward momentum, bleeding off the kinetic energy so smoothly that she barely felt the stop.

The girl gasped, her eyes tightly shut in anticipation of the painful impact. When she realized she was floating an inch above the ground, firmly supported, she cautiously opened her wide, chocolate-brown eyes.

She looked up, finding herself staring into a pair of vivid emerald eyes with striking, reptilian slit-pupils.

"Are you alright?" Izuku asked, his voice soft and polite. He carefully righted her, setting her back on her feet.

The girl blinked, her cheeks dusting with a light pink blush as she processed what had just happened. She looked at the boy who had caught her. He had a friendly, slightly freckled face, but his eyes were intense, and his hands...

She looked down at the hands that had just caught her. They were large, and the backs of his hands and forearms were covered in patches of tough, dark green scales. Faint, silver metallic slits ran along the top of his wrists, hinting at something hidden beneath the skin. They looked like the hands of a monster, but the touch had been incredibly gentle, precise, and completely devoid of aggression.

"O-Oh! Yes! Thank you so much!" she stammered, stepping back and brushing off her skirt. "I'm so clumsy! I was just so nervous about the exam, my legs felt like jelly, and then I tripped over my own feet, and—oh gosh, I'm rambling."

Izuku smiled warmly, letting his arms drop to his sides. "It's completely understandable. The U.A. gates are intimidating. But it's bad luck to fall before the exam even begins."

"Right!" She beamed, her anxiety melting away under his calm demeanor. "I'm Ochaco Uraraka! It's nice to meet you... um..."

"Izuku Midoriya," he replied, giving a short, polite bow.

"Well, Midoriya! Let's both do our best today!" Uraraka pumped a fist into the air enthusiastically before turning and jogging toward the auditorium, being careful to watch her step this time.

Izuku watched her go, a small, genuine smile playing on his lips. She seems nice. I hope she passes.

He turned and followed the stream of students into the massive auditorium.

The orientation was a sensory overload of lights, loud music, and theatrical presentation, courtesy of the Voice Hero: Present Mic.

Izuku sat quietly in his assigned seat, his notebook open on his lap. Bakugo sat two seats to his right, scowling with his arms crossed.

"WELCOME TO TODAY'S LIVE PERFORMANCE!" Present Mic roared from the stage, his voice amplified by his Quirk to deafening levels. "EVERYBODY SAY 'HEY'!"

Silence echoed through the massive hall. Izuku winced slightly, his sensitive ears protesting the volume.

"Wow, tough crowd!" Present Mic continued, undeterred. "Alright, examinees! Let's get right down to the main event! Today, you'll be conducting ten-minute mock urban battles! After this presentation, you'll head to your specified battle centers!"

Izuku looked at his examination ticket. He was assigned to Battle Center B. He glanced over at Bakugo's ticket—Battle Center A. They split up students from the same middle school to prevent cooperation, Izuku noted silently. Smart.

Present Mic gestured to a massive screen behind him, which lit up with pixelated graphics of three different robot silhouettes. "Three different types of faux villains are stationed in each battle center! You earn points for each of them based on their difficulty level! Your goal, dear listeners, is to use your Quirks to earn your keep by immobilizing these faux villains!"

As the hero explained the point system—one, two, and three-point robots—Izuku began sketching rapidly in his notebook.

If they are robotic, they don't have blood or vital organs, Izuku thought, his pen flying across the page. My blades can cut through their armor, but I need to target structural weak points to disable them efficiently. Joints, axels, sensor arrays, and power cores. Cutting off an arm won't stop a machine. I need to sever the central processing unit or destroy the locomotion system.

He was so deeply engrossed in his tactical breakdown of robotic anatomy that he didn't immediately notice the tall, broad-shouldered boy standing up a few rows ahead.

"Excuse me! May I ask a question?" the boy shouted, his voice cutting through the murmurs of the crowd. He stood rigidly straight, his hand chopping the air like a metronome.

"Hit me!" Present Mic pointed at him.

"On the printout, there are four types of villains!" the boy announced, adjusting his rectangular glasses. "If this is a misprint, then U.A., the most prominent school in Japan, should be ashamed of that foolish mistake! We examinees are here in this place because we wish to be molded into exemplary heroes!"

The boy then spun around, pointing an accusatory finger directly at Izuku. "In addition, you over there with the curly hair!"

Izuku blinked, his pen pausing over his notebook. He looked up, his expression perfectly blank.

"You've been muttering and scribbling in that notebook this entire time!" the boy scolded. "It's distracting! If you're here on a pleasure trip, then you should leave immediately!"

Several students turned to look at Izuku, giggling and whispering. Bakugo just sneered.

In another life, Izuku might have shrunk in his seat, embarrassed and stuttering an apology. But this Izuku had spent the last ten years learning that apologies in combat were a sign of weakness, and that focus was absolute.

Izuku didn't flinch. He didn't blush. He calmly set his pen down, closed his notebook, and met the boy's gaze. The emerald irises with their sharp, reptilian slits locked onto the bespectacled student with the intensity of a predator assessing a loud, obnoxious bird.

"I apologize if my writing disturbed you," Izuku said. His voice wasn't loud, but it carried a strange, commanding resonance that cut through the silence of the auditorium. "However, I am analyzing the structural weak points of the faux villains based on the silhouettes provided. Preparing a tactical approach before entering an unknown combat scenario is the foundation of heroism. If you find preparation distracting, perhaps you should focus on the stage."

The auditorium went dead silent. The bespectacled boy froze, his hand still suspended in the air. The sheer logical weight of Izuku’s response, combined with the unnerving calmness of his predatory eyes, completely dismantled the boy's argument.

"I... I see," the boy stammered, suddenly looking very embarrassed. He bowed stiffly. "I apologize for my hasty judgment! Thank you for the insight!"

He sat down quickly.

"ALRIGHT, ALRIGHT! Let's keep the peace, listeners!" Present Mic interjected, shooting a slightly surprised look at Izuku. He had never seen a middle schooler shut down an argument so clinically. "To answer Examinee 7111's question, the fourth villain type is worth zero points! It's a massive obstacle! There's one in every battle center! It's not impossible to defeat, but there's no reason to! I recommend you listeners try to avoid it!"

Izuku filed that information away. An obstacle. High durability, massive size. Avoidance is the optimal strategy.

"That's all from me!" Present Mic shouted, striking a pose. "Now, I present to you the school motto! Plus Ultra! Now go break a leg!"

Battle Center B was a sprawling, meticulously constructed replica of a modern urban city. Towering skyscrapers of glass and concrete lined wide, paved streets. Alleyways, intersections, and plazas created a complex maze designed to test a hero's situational awareness.

A large crowd of examinees stood before the massive, steel gates leading into the city. The tension in the air was palpable. Some students were stretching, others were psyching themselves up, muttering under their breath.

Izuku stood near the front of the pack. He had changed into his tracksuit—a dark green athletic set that fit tightly over his muscular frame to prevent loose clothing from catching on his blades. He was doing a series of deep, dynamic lunges, warming up the massive muscles in his thighs and calves.

He noticed Uraraka a few yards away, looking incredibly nervous, taking deep breaths and slapping her cheeks. He considered going over to wish her luck, but decided against it. Focus was paramount right now.

High above the city, in a dark, heavily monitored observation room, the faculty of U.A. High School watched the screens.

"A promising batch this year," commented Midnight, sipping from a mug of coffee.

"We'll see," grunted Shota Aizawa, his tired eyes scanning the monitors. "Raw power means nothing without the instinct to use it correctly."

In the corner of the room, All Might stood silently, his eyes locked onto the screen displaying Battle Center B. He watched Izuku doing his lunges, a proud smile hidden beneath his shadowed face. Show them, Izuku. Show them the edge of your resolve.

Back at the gates, Present Mic’s voice suddenly blared from hidden speakers.

"RIGHT, LET'S START! WHAT'S THE MATTER? THERE ARE NO COUNTDOWNS IN REAL BATTLES! RUN, RUN, RUN!"

The massive steel gates groaned and began to swing open.

Most of the students hesitated, waiting for the gates to fully open, processing the sudden start.

Izuku didn't wait.

Before the gates had even opened three feet, Izuku exploded into motion. His thick, dinosaur-like legs launched him forward with the force of a coiled spring. He shot through the narrow gap in the doors like a green bullet, leaving the rest of the examinees staring at his back in shock.

"Hey, he's getting a head start!" someone yelled.

"Get moving!"

By the time the rest of the examinees surged into the city, Izuku was already a block away.

His eyes darted left and right, his slit-pupils tracking motion. He heard the heavy, mechanical clanking before he saw it. From an alleyway to his left, a One-Pointer rolled out. It was a bulky, olive-green machine on treads, sporting a single red optical sensor and two heavy, blunt arms.

"Target acquired," the robot’s synthesized voice droned.

Izuku didn't break his stride. He sprinted directly at the machine.

Engage.

SNIKT.

With a sound that made the hairs on the back of the nearby examinees' necks stand up, Izuku deployed his Quirks. The three-foot, gunmetal-grey Therizino-Blades erupted from his wrists, locking into place with a terrifying finality.

He didn't bother using Resonance. For armor this thin, raw kinetic force was enough.

The One-Pointer raised an arm to crush him. Izuku didn't dodge backward; he slid forward. Dropping his center of gravity, he went into a baseball slide across the asphalt, his heavy legs carrying him beneath the robot's raised arm.

As he slid underneath, Izuku swung his right arm in a tight, upward arc.

The hyper-dense metal of his claw met the steel chassis of the robot. There was a screech of tearing metal. Izuku’s blade cleaved perfectly through the robot's central axel and out through its optical sensor, splitting the machine cleanly in half from bottom to top.

Izuku rolled out of the slide, popping back to his feet as the two halves of the One-Pointer crashed violently to the ground behind him, sparking and dead.

One point.

"Whoa!" an examinee with a hardening Quirk gasped, skidding to a halt as he saw the bisected robot. "Did he just... cut that thing in half without stopping?!"

Izuku was already gone.

He moved through the faux city like a raptor in a jungle. His combat style was mesmerizing to watch, terrifying to face. Because his weapons were so long and heavy, he couldn't stop and start like a normal brawler. He had to maintain his momentum.

He bounded up the side of a parked car, launching himself into the air toward a group of three Two-Pointers. As he flew through the air, he brought his knees to his chest and tucked his arms, turning his body into a tight ball. He engaged the high-frequency vibrations in his forearms.

VMMMMMM.

As he descended upon the robots, Izuku unfurled his body, spinning violently. He became a high-speed buzzsaw of superheated, vibrating metal. He tore through the group of Two-Pointers in less than three seconds. Arms, heads, and treads were severed with surgical precision. He didn't just smash them; he dismantled them at their joints, letting gravity do the rest of the work.

He landed gracefully on the roof of a bus, his blades humming loudly, hot to the touch.

Seven points.

In the observation room, the teachers were leaning closer to the monitors.

"Who is that?" asked Snipe, the cowboy-themed hero, pointing at the screen displaying Battle Center B. "The kid with the scythes. I ain't never seen a mutant Quirk with that kind of cutting power."

Nezu, the principal of U.A., tapped a few buttons on his console, bringing up Izuku’s file. "Midoriya Izuku. Quirk: Therizino-Blades. A mutant-transformation hybrid. He can extend high-density metallic keratin claws from his forearms. It seems he can also vibrate them to increase their cutting capacity."

"It's not just the Quirk," Aizawa murmured, his eyes narrowing as he analyzed Izuku’s footwork. "Look at how he moves. He's not fighting the weight of those blades; he's riding it. It's a highly specialized form of bladed martial arts. He's using Capoeira principles to manage centrifugal force. He's had professional training. Extensive training."

"And his restraint," Midnight added, a purr in her voice. "He's not just wildly hacking away. He's targeting specific structural weaknesses. He's destroying the robots, but he's minimizing shrapnel. He's ensuring the area remains safe for the other examinees behind him. For a Quirk so inherently violent... his execution is remarkably elegant."

All Might watched his pupil, his chest puffing out with quiet pride. Yes, Izuku. Show them the sheath.

Down in the battle center, Izuku was an unstoppable force. He racked up points with lethal efficiency. He didn't steal kills; if he saw another student engaging a robot, he moved on. He used his thick, powerful legs to scale fire escapes, launching himself off brick walls to rain down upon clusters of Three-Pointers.

He was at forty-five points. He was breathing heavily, sweat stinging his eyes, but his core remained rock solid. All Might’s training was paying off. His shoulders didn't ache. His lower back was stable. He could do this all day.

Fifty-two points.

Fifty-eight points.

He had just severed the tread off a Three-Pointer and was turning to find his next target when the ground suddenly hitched beneath his feet.

It wasn't a small tremor. It was a violent, localized earthquake.

The glass in the surrounding skyscrapers shattered, raining down onto the streets. The examinees in the immediate vicinity stopped fighting, looking around in panic.

"What is that?" someone screamed.

At the far end of the main avenue, the buildings seemed to explode outward. From the dust and debris, a colossal mechanical titan emerged. It was easily a hundred feet tall, towering over the faux city like a god of steel. Its massive, red optical sensor burned like a miniature sun through the smoke.

The Zero Pointer.

Izuku stared at the sheer scale of the machine. Present Mic wasn't exaggerating. It's not an enemy. It's a natural disaster.

The giant robot raised a fist the size of a small house and brought it down on the street. The impact cratered the asphalt, sending a shockwave that threw several students off their feet. Dust billowed into the air, choking the avenue.

"Run!"

"Are they crazy?! That thing will kill us!"

The examinees broke, turning and fleeing in sheer terror. Izuku took a step backward, his analytical mind quickly calculating the risk. No points. Excessive risk to life and limb. The logical move is to retreat and find remaining targets in a different sector.

He was about to turn and follow the crowd when a sound cut through the chaos. It was faint, barely audible over the grinding gears of the titan, but his sensitive ears caught it.

"Ow... my leg..."

Izuku’s head snapped toward the source of the sound. Through the clearing dust, near the epicenter of the robot's punch, he saw her.

Uraraka.

She was trapped beneath a massive slab of shattered concrete, clutching her right ankle. She was trying to use her Quirk to lift the rubble, but she was exhausted, her face pale and strained.

Above her, the Zero Pointer’s massive treads engaged, slowly rolling forward. In less than twenty seconds, she would be crushed.

In the observation room, Aizawa leaned forward, his hand hovering over the emergency shut-off button. "The girl is trapped. It's time to end it."

"Wait," All Might said, his voice quiet but commanding. "Look at Midoriya."

Izuku Midoriya did not run away.

He didn't think about the points. He didn't think about his own safety. He looked at the girl trapped in the rubble, and then he looked at the massive, terrifying machine bearing down on her.

The predatory instincts that he usually kept sheathed in his martial discipline flared to life. His emerald eyes burned. The slit-pupils contracted into needle-thin lines of absolute focus.

Izuku didn't just deploy his blades. He unleashed them.

SNIKT.

The three-foot scythes erupted from his wrists. He grounded his stance, engaging the Resonance technique, pushing it far beyond the safe limits he used for the smaller robots.

VMMMMMMMM!

The blades screamed, vibrating at a frequency so extreme that the surrounding air distorted with heat waves. The gunmetal alloy began to glow with a faint, angry orange hue along the edges.

Izuku sprinted. He didn't run away from the Zero Pointer; he ran directly at it.

"What is he doing?!" an examinee screamed as Izuku shot past the fleeing crowd.

Izuku’s eyes were locked on the environment. He couldn't just slash the robot from the ground; it was too tall, and destroying its treads would just cause it to fall forward onto Uraraka. He had to neutralize it from the top down. He had to sever its control center.

He reached the edge of the crater caused by the robot's punch. Large chunks of debris and asphalt had been thrown into the air and were still raining down.

Using his massive, dinosaur-like leg strength, Izuku leaped.

He landed on a falling chunk of concrete mid-air. He didn't pause. He used it as a springboard, launching himself higher. He bounded up the falling debris like a staircase, his powerful thighs launching him twenty, thirty, forty feet into the air.

He reached the chassis of the Zero Pointer. He drove his right claw directly into the thick steel armor of the robot's chest, using the blade as a piton to anchor himself. He hung there for a split second, feeling the immense heat of the machine.

He looked up. The head of the robot—where the main optical sensor and processing unit were located—was twenty feet above him.

Izuku took a deep breath, filling his iron core with oxygen.

Therizino Style: Extinction Dive.

Izuku pulled his right blade out of the armor and violently kicked off the chest of the robot, launching himself straight up into the air, soaring high above the robot's head.

At the apex of his jump, framed against the bright blue sky, Izuku tucked his body. He crossed his arms over his chest, his glowing, superheated, vibrating blades facing outward.

Gravity took hold. He began to fall directly toward the crown of the Zero Pointer's head.

As he fell, Izuku unleashed the kinetic energy in his core, spinning his body along a vertical axis. He became a glowing, screaming wheel of death.

He hit the robot.

There was no explosion. There was no grand clash of forces. There was only the terrifying sound of ultimate cutting power meeting zero resistance.

Izuku’s vibrating blades sheared through the hyper-dense armor plating of the Zero Pointer's head as if it were warm butter. He sliced vertically down through the central optical sensor, severing the massive processing unit in two. He didn't stop there. He continued his spin, his blades carving a trench all the way down the neck and deep into the upper torso, completely severing the main power conduits.

The massive machine let out a sputtering, mechanical groan. The red light in its eyes flickered and died.

Izuku broke out of his spin, kicking off the dying machine and entering a controlled freefall. Below him, the Zero Pointer's systems completely failed. The hydraulics locked up. The massive titan tilted backward, away from Uraraka, and crashed into the faux city with the force of a meteor, sending a towering plume of smoke into the sky.

Izuku plummeted toward the ground. He oriented his body, spotting Uraraka in the rubble. He aimed for her.

He landed thirty feet away, his thick legs absorbing the massive impact of the fall with a heavy thud, cracking the pavement beneath his boots. He immediately sprinted toward her.

Uraraka was staring up at the sky, her mouth hanging open in absolute shock. She watched the giant robot fall backward, completely deactivated, a massive, glowing canyon carved through its head and chest.

She turned her head as Izuku slid to a halt beside her. He retracted his blades instantly, his hands returning to their scaled, normal state.

"Are you okay?" he asked, his voice breathless but remarkably calm.

He didn't wait for her to answer. He reached down, grabbing the edge of the massive concrete slab pinning her leg. Engaging his incredible core and leg strength, he hoisted the rubble off her with a grunt of effort, tossing it aside as if it were made of styrofoam.

Uraraka scrambled backward, wincing as she pulled her bruised ankle free. She looked up at Izuku. The boy was sweating, his green tracksuit dusted with debris, but his eyes were kind, and his hands were gentle.

"You... you killed it," she whispered, awestruck.

Izuku smiled, offering her a scaly hand to help her up. "It's just a machine. Are you badly hurt?"

Before she could take his hand, a loud buzzer echoed across the entire battle center.

"TIME'S UP!" Present Mic’s voice blared.

Silence descended upon Battle Center B, save for the crackle of localized fires and the settling of dust. The remaining examinees stood frozen, staring at the fallen titan, and then looking at the green-haired boy who had brought it down with nothing but his bare hands and two blades.

In the observation room, the silence was equally profound.

Aizawa slowly leaned back in his chair, a small, terrifying grin forming on his face. "Incredible. He didn't just destroy it. He specifically cut the power conduits to force the machine into a hydraulic lock, ensuring it would fall backward, away from the trapped girl."

"He calculated the trajectory of a hundred-ton machine mid-air," Nezu said, his mouse-like face breaking into a wide smile. "And executed it flawlessly. To possess such a lethal Quirk, and use it with such absolute, life-saving precision..."

All Might crossed his arms, his heart swelling with immense pride. He looked at the screen, watching Izuku gently help the injured girl to her feet.

You are not a monster, Izuku Midoriya, All Might thought. You are exactly what this world needs.

The Bladed Hero had arrived.

The acceptance letter from U.A. High School had not arrived with a simple sheet of paper, but with a holographic projection of All Might himself, booming from a metal disc on Izuku Midoriya's desk. The Number One Hero had loudly proclaimed that Izuku had not only passed the written exam with flying colors but had also scored an astonishing seventy-four villain points and sixty rescue points, comfortably securing the first-place spot in the entrance exam.

Izuku had watched the hologram in silence, the weight of the achievement pressing into his chest. He hadn't cheered. Instead, he had walked to his bedroom window, looked down at his scaled hands, and squeezed them into fists. He had proven that his deadly mutation could be a shield. Now, the real work began.

The first day of classes at U.A. High School arrived with a crisp spring breeze. Izuku navigated the labyrinthine hallways of the massive facility, his mind already categorizing the structural integrity of the reinforced walls and oversized doors. He found the door marked '1-A', an absurdly large entrance designed to accommodate students with immense mutant Quirks.

Sliding the door open, the first thing Izuku’s sensitive, slit-pupil eyes registered was the chaotic energy of the room. To his left, the bespectacled boy from the orientation—who he now knew as Tenya Iida—was rigidly chopping his hand through the air, loudly reprimanding Katsuki Bakugo for resting his feet on his desk.

"Remove your feet immediately!" Iida boomed, his engine-calves gleaming under the fluorescent lights. "Are you not disrespecting your upperclassmen and the very creators of this desk?"

"Huh?" Bakugo sneered, leaning back in his chair with a vicious, arrogant grin. "What middle school are you from, you extra? I'll blow you to pieces!"

Izuku stepped into the classroom quietly. His heavy, measured footsteps barely made a sound, a product of ten years of martial arts training. Despite his silence, the sheer physical presence of his heavily muscled frame and the intense, reptilian gaze of his green eyes drew the attention of several students.

"Oh! It's you!"

Izuku turned to see Ochaco Uraraka beaming at him, her brown hair bobbing as she jogged over. "The boy who sliced up that giant robot! Midoriya, right? That was so amazing! You were like a ninja, or a samurai, or... well, it was incredible!"

Izuku offered a warm, practiced smile, letting the predatory sharpness in his eyes soften. "Good morning, Uraraka. You did excellently as well. Are your injuries completely healed from the exam?"

"Yep! Recovery Girl is a miracle worker!" she chirped.

Before their conversation could continue, a lethargic, grating voice crawled out from the floorboards near the front of the room.

"If you're just here to make friends, then you can pack up your things and leave."

The entire class froze. A man wrapped head-to-toe in a yellow sleeping bag unzipped the fabric, rolling out like a massive, tired caterpillar. He stood up, revealing a gaunt face framed by messy black hair, a thick capture-scarf coiled around his neck, and eyes that looked like they hadn't seen a full night's sleep in a decade.

Izuku recognized him instantly. The Erasure Hero: Eraser Head. An underground hero specializing in Quirk nullification and high-level capture techniques. An incredibly rational and dangerous combatant.

"I am your homeroom teacher, Shota Aizawa," the man drawled, pulling a blue gym uniform from his sleeping bag. "It took you all eight seconds to quiet down. Time is a limited resource. You kids aren't rational enough."

He tossed the uniform onto the front desk. "Put these on and head out to the P.E. grounds. We're doing a Quirk Apprehension Test."

The spring sun beat down on the expansive, dirt-covered athletic field behind the main U.A. building. Class 1-A stood in a loose cluster, dressed in their blue and white tracksuits.

Izuku stood comfortably, his thick legs planted shoulder-width apart, his posture perfectly straight. Aizawa’s announcement that the student who placed last in the physical tests would be expelled had sent a wave of panic through the class, particularly Uraraka. Izuku, however, felt a strange, icy calm. Fear was an emotion he had conquered under the tutelage of Steel-Scribe. Panic bred mistakes. Mistakes with his Quirk meant death. Therefore, panic was not an option.

"Bakugo," Aizawa called out, holding a softball and a digital recording device. "You finished first in the practical exam without rescue points. What was your farthest softball throw in junior high?"

"Sixty-seven meters," Bakugo grunted, stepping forward.

"Try doing it with your Quirk," Aizawa instructed, pointing to a white circle painted on the dirt. "Anything goes as long as you stay in the circle. Don't hold back."

Bakugo cracked his neck, stepping into the ring. He grinned, a feral expression of absolute confidence. He wound up, sparks igniting in his palm. With a roar of "DIE!", a massive explosion detonated from his hand, propelling the ball into the stratosphere on a pillar of fire and smoke.

Aizawa showed the screen to the class. 705.2 meters.

"Know your own maximum first," Aizawa said lazily. "That is the most rational way to form the foundation of a hero."

The class erupted into excited chatter. "705 meters? Are you kidding me?" a boy with yellow hair and a black lightning streak cheered. "This looks like fun!"

"Fun?" Aizawa’s eyes darkened, a terrifying aura bleeding from his slouched posture. "You have three years to become heroes. You think it's going to be all fun and games? Idiots. The one with the lowest score across all eight events will be judged hopelessly lacking and expelled immediately."

The excitement evaporated. Izuku narrowed his eyes. A logical ruse, he analyzed instantly. Aizawa relies on manufactured pressure to strip away our complacency and reveal our true potential under stress. Highly effective.

The tests began.

For the 50-meter dash, Izuku was paired with Iida. Iida’s engines roared to life, propelling him across the finish line in a blistering 3.04 seconds. Izuku, however, didn't use his blades. He didn't need them. He dropped into a sprinter's crouch. When the robotic voice called "Start!", Izuku engaged the massive, Therizinosaurus-mutated muscles in his thighs.

He didn't run; he leaped.

Using a technique derived from Capoeira, he launched himself forward in a series of long, low, explosive bounds. He crossed the fifty meters in three massive leaps, his iron-dense boots cracking the dirt upon each impact. He crossed the line in 3.98 seconds.

For the grip strength test, a towering boy named Mezo Shoji, who had six arms, scored an immense 540 kilograms. Izuku gripped the digital dynamometer. Because his forearms were biologically engineered to support the deployment and swinging of three-foot, hyper-dense metal scythes, the muscle fibers in his arms were packed tighter than steel cables. He squeezed. The green scales on his arms flexed. The machine let out a pained, mechanical whine before flashing: 480 kg.

"Whoa, Midoriya! Are you a gorilla or something?" the electric boy, Denki Kaminari, gaped.

Izuku just smiled politely and jotted down a few notes about Shoji's incredible localized strength.

Then came the softball throw.

Uraraka stepped up, touching the ball with her fingertips to remove its gravity before tossing it with a cheerful hum. The device beeped softly.

Infinity.

The class stared in awe. Izuku nodded to himself, deeply impressed by the utility of her Quirk.

Finally, Aizawa called Izuku's name.

Izuku stepped into the white circle, the softball resting small and light in his scaled palm.

Aizawa narrowed his eyes, his capture weapon shifting subtly around his neck. He had read Izuku Midoriya's file extensively. A Mutant/Transformation hybrid Quirk that generated indestructible, high-frequency metallic claws. A Quirk inherently designed for lethal dismemberment. Aizawa was prepared to use his Erasure at the first sign of the boy losing control. He wanted to see how this 'Bladed Hero' handled a task that required blunt, non-lethal projection.

Bakugo crossed his arms, sneering. "Let's see what you do without a robot to cut, Deku. You can't slice a baseball into orbit."

Izuku ignored Bakugo. He looked down at the ball. Bakugo was right, in a sense. He couldn't throw the ball normally with his claws deployed—they would slice the ball to ribbons or awkwardly impale it. But throwing it without his Quirk would result in an average score, and Izuku refused to be average.

I need kinetic energy transfer without sharp-edge contact, Izuku thought rapidly. I need a racket.

Izuku widened his stance, anchoring his heavy legs into the dirt of the throwing circle. He raised his right arm, extending it out to the side.

SNIKT.

The three heavy, gunmetal-grey Therizino-Blades erupted from the slits on his right wrist, catching the sunlight. Several students flinched at the terrifying sound, taking an involuntary step back.

Izuku tossed the softball lightly into the air with his left hand.

As the ball reached its apex, Izuku engaged his Quirk's secondary function. Resonance. The muscles in his right forearm vibrated at a microscopic, blistering pace.

VMMMMMMM.

The three-foot blades began to blur, emitting a high-pitched, mechanical screech. But instead of swinging the sharp inner curve of the scythes toward the falling ball, Izuku rotated his wrist. He exposed the wide, flat, blunt outer side of the massive claws.

He channeled every ounce of the core strength All Might had beaten into him over the last ten months. He twisted his hips, whipping his upper body around in a devastating rotational swing.

He didn't just hit the ball; he hit the air behind it.

The flat side of the vibrating, superheated metal struck the softball like the world's most terrifying tennis racket. The sheer physical force of the swing, combined with the high-frequency displacement of the air, created a localized sonic boom.

CRACK-BOOM!

A shockwave of compressed wind exploded outward, kicking up a massive cloud of dust that forced the surrounding students to shield their eyes. The softball didn't just fly; it was launched like a railgun projectile, a streak of white disappearing into the clouds on a corkscrew of displaced air.

Izuku completed his follow-through, his heavy boots skidding slightly but remaining firmly within the chalk circle. With a smooth snikt, the massive blades retracted back into his arm. The high-pitched humming ceased, leaving a ringing silence in its wake.

Aizawa stared at his device. The numbers climbed rapidly before settling. He turned the screen toward the class.

705.3 meters.

Exactly 0.1 meters farther than Bakugo.

Izuku turned his head, locking eyes with Katsuki. The ash-blonde boy’s face went completely blank, his crimson eyes twitching as the decimal point registered in his brain.

Aizawa lowered the device, a genuine thrill of surprise cutting through his chronic apathy. He used the flat of his blade to generate blunt kinetic shockwaves and wind pressure. He calculated the exact angle and vibrational frequency to launch the projectile without bursting its seams. Incredible mechanical control and restraint. Aizawa grinned beneath his scarf. This kid is a monster in a cage of his own making.

"Deku..." Bakugo whispered, the shock wearing off, replaced instantly by a volcanic, world-ending rage. Small explosions began popping in his palms. "DEKU! You bastard! Tell me how you did that right now!"

Bakugo lunged forward, his hands raised to blast Izuku's face off.

Before he could take a third step, thick grey cloth wrapped tightly around Bakugo’s torso and arms, pinning him in place. His explosions fizzled out instantly.

"What the... this cloth is stiff!" Bakugo grunted, struggling against the capture weapon.

"It's a carbon-fiber woven wire alloy," Aizawa sighed, his hair defying gravity, his eyes glowing a fierce red as he glared at Bakugo. "Stop using your Quirk so carelessly. You're giving me dry eye."

Aizawa blinked, releasing the cloth. Bakugo stumbled forward, gasping in a breath, but his furious eyes never left Izuku.

Izuku simply bowed his head respectfully to Aizawa and walked back to the group, his expression betraying no arrogance, no mockery. Just calm, unwavering focus.

The true test of their abilities came the following day during their foundational heroics class.

"I AM HERE!" All Might announced, bursting through the classroom door in a silver-age hero costume, "COMING THROUGH THE DOOR LIKE A HERO!"

The class erupted into cheers, completely enamored by the Number One Hero's theatrical entrance. Izuku allowed a wide, genuine smile to break across his face. Seeing his mentor in his element, radiating absolute confidence and safety, filled Izuku with an immense sense of pride.

"Welcome to the most important class at U.A. High!" All Might boomed, marching to the front podium. "Think of it as Heroing 101! Today, we will be conducting... BATTLE TRAINING!"

Bakugo leaned forward in his chair, a sadistic, feral grin spreading across his face.

"And to go with it, these!" All Might pointed to the wall, which slid open to reveal numbered briefcases. "Costumes made based on your Quirk registrations and the requests you sent in before school started. Get changed and gather at Ground Beta!"

Ten minutes later, Class 1-A emerged from the tunnel leading into the mock urban cityscape of Ground Beta.

Izuku walked out into the sunlight, adjusting the fit of his new gear. His costume was a masterpiece of utilitarian design, crafted specifically to accommodate his unique physiology and combat style.

He wore a dark green, sleeveless tunic made of a highly breathable, impact-resistant Kevlar weave. The lack of sleeves allowed maximum range of motion for his shoulders. His lower half consisted of black, loose-fitting martial arts trousers—similar to gi pants—tucked into heavy-duty, iron-soled boots designed to anchor his center of gravity during high-speed swings.

But the most important pieces of his costume were his arms. He wore sleek, black metallic bracers that covered his forearms from elbow to wrist. The bracers were open at the top, leaving the slits where his blades emerged completely unobstructed. The metal was designed to act as a heat sink, absorbing and dissipating the extreme temperatures generated by his Resonance technique so he wouldn't burn his own skin during prolonged fights. Finally, a reinforced support belt wrapped tightly around his waist and lower spine, aiding the structural integrity of his core.

He didn't have a cape. Capes got caught on blades.

"Whoa, Midoriya! Your costume looks so cool! You look like a professional martial artist!"

Izuku turned to see Uraraka running toward him. Her costume was a skin-tight pink and black suit with bulky boots and wrist guards. She looked slightly embarrassed, tugging at the hem. "I should have been more specific with my request... it ended up being a skin-tight bodysuit."

"It's highly functional for your Quirk," Izuku observed objectively, his analytical mind completely bypassing any teenage awkwardness. "The localized pressure points on your wrists and ankles likely help mitigate the nausea caused by the inner-ear disruption of zero gravity. It's a very intelligent design, Uraraka."

Uraraka blinked, entirely disarmed by his earnest, clinical compliment. She smiled brightly. "Thanks!"

All Might gathered the class. He explained the rules of the Battle Trial: two-on-two indoor combat. The 'Villains' would guard a nuclear weapon in a multi-story building, and the 'Heroes' would attempt to infiltrate and either capture the villains with capture tape or touch the weapon before the time limit expired.

They drew lots.

Izuku looked down at the letter 'A' on his slip of paper.

"Wow! We're on the same team, Midoriya!" Uraraka cheered, holding up a matching 'A'.

"I look forward to working with you," Izuku nodded.

"Team A will be the Heroes!" All Might announced, drawing the opposing lot. "And Team D will be the Villains!"

Izuku’s eyes flicked across the crowd, locking onto the furious, burning red eyes of Katsuki Bakugo. Standing next to Bakugo was Tenya Iida, who looked incredibly determined.

Team D. Bakugo and Iida.

"Well, this is going to be interesting," Izuku murmured.

Five minutes later, Izuku and Uraraka stood outside the mock building, waiting for the signal to begin. Izuku had a blueprint of the building unrolled on his forearm, memorizing the floor plan.

"Okay, Uraraka. Listen carefully," Izuku said, his voice dropping into a calm, authoritative cadence. "Iida is highly mobile, but his Quirk requires open straightaways to build momentum. In a confined indoor space, his speed is severely limited. Bakugo, however, is the primary threat. His explosions are versatile, and his combat instincts are lethal."

"What's our plan?" she asked, clutching the capture tape nervously.

"Bakugo has a singular focus right now: me," Izuku stated factually. "His pride will not allow him to play defense. He will abandon the weapon and ambush us as soon as we enter. When he attacks, I will engage him. You use the distraction to slip past, locate the weapon, and relay its position to me."

Uraraka nodded. "Got it. But... can you handle Bakugo alone? His explosions look really dangerous."

Izuku slowly closed the blueprint, his green eyes glowing faintly in the shadows of the alleyway. "He uses explosions. I use blades. In confined quarters, the one who controls the space wins."

A buzzer echoed through the street.

"TEAM A AND TEAM D, BEGIN!" All Might’s voice announced over the PA system.

Izuku and Uraraka slipped through a first-floor window. The interior of the building was dark, a maze of concrete pillars and narrow corridors. Izuku took the lead, his footsteps completely silent. His slit-pupils dilated, drinking in the low light. He tuned his hearing, listening past Uraraka's breathing, past the distant hum of the building's ventilation.

They reached an intersection on the second floor.

Izuku stopped dead. The microscopic hairs on his scaled arms stood up. He smelled it. Burnt sugar and ozone.

"Get back," Izuku ordered, shoving Uraraka firmly around the corner.

He didn't wait. He didn't draw his blades. He dropped his stance and spun, sweeping his right leg in a brutal, low arc toward the seemingly empty corridor to his left.

Bakugo burst from the shadows around the corner, launching himself forward with a massive explosion from his right hand, aiming a devastating right hook directly at where Izuku’s head had been a fraction of a second ago.

Instead, Bakugo found thin air. Before he could process the miss, Izuku’s sweeping leg caught Bakugo firmly in the chest. It wasn't a lethal strike, but the sheer, dinosaur-like power behind the kick knocked the wind completely out of Bakugo, sending him skidding backward across the linoleum floor.

"You always lead with a right hook ambush when you're angry, Kacchan," Izuku said, standing up smoothly, his hands resting easily at his sides.

Bakugo wheezed, recovering his footing instantly. His eyes were wide, bloodshot with pure, unadulterated fury. "You read my move? You damn nerd..."

"Go, Uraraka," Izuku commanded without looking back.

"Right!" Uraraka sprinted down the opposite corridor, her footsteps fading rapidly.

Bakugo ignored her completely. He raised his hands, the air around him shimmering with heat. "You've been hiding this! For years, you've been looking down on me, haven't you?! Acting like you were some frail little victim while you were getting built like a tank!"

"I never looked down on you," Izuku replied evenly. "I've always analyzed you because you are strong. But your pride is a blinder, Kacchan. It narrows your vision."

"SHUT UP!" Bakugo roared. He propelled himself forward with a rapid series of small blasts, moving in a chaotic, zigzagging pattern. He closed the distance in a heartbeat, swinging his left arm wide. "I'll break those stupid claws of yours into pieces!"

Izuku’s eyes flashed.

SNIKT.

The massive, three-foot Therizino-Blades deployed from his forearms with a metallic screech. The narrow hallway suddenly felt incredibly cramped as six feet of razor-sharp, heavy metal filled the space.

Bakugo fired a point-blank explosion directly at Izuku’s chest.

Izuku didn't block. He didn't retreat. He engaged Resonance.

The blades vibrated at a hyper-frequency, humming like a swarm of angry wasps. Izuku stepped into the blast, swinging his left claw in a tight, upward diagonal cut.

SKREEEEE!

The physics of the clash were terrifying to behold. The high-frequency vibration of the hyper-dense metal met the expanding shockwave of Bakugo’s explosion. Instead of absorbing the blunt force, the vibrating blade physically sheared the expanding gases in half. The explosion parted around Izuku like a river splitting around the bow of a battleship, scorching the walls and ceiling behind him but leaving Izuku completely untouched in the center of the blast.

Bakugo’s eyes widened in sheer disbelief as Izuku emerged from the fire and smoke like a demon.

Using the momentum of his upward cut, Izuku pivoted, bringing his heavy right blade around in a horizontal sweep. He aimed not for Bakugo's flesh, but for the metal gauntlet on Bakugo's left arm.

CLANG!

The flat of Izuku's heavy claw slammed into the gauntlet. The blunt-force impact was like being hit by a speeding truck. Bakugo was thrown sideways, crashing heavily into the corridor wall, the concrete cracking under his weight.

In the monitor room, the class was completely silent.

"What just happened?" Kaminari gaped. "Midoriya just... cut an explosion in half? Is that even scientifically possible?"

"High-frequency displacement," Yaoyorozu Momo analyzed, her eyes wide with shock. "He's vibrating his blades so fast that they create a localized vacuum, forcing the rapidly expanding gases of Bakugo's explosion to travel around the blade rather than through him. But to calculate the exact angle and timing to do that in a fraction of a second... his combat instincts are monstrous."

Aizawa watched the screen intently. He's in a confined hallway with three-foot lethal blades, fighting an opponent who is actively trying to kill him, and he still has the presence of mind to use the blunt side of his weapons to disarm rather than maim. His control is absolute.

Back in the hallway, Bakugo peeled himself off the wall. His left arm throbbed, the metal of his gauntlet deeply dented from the impact. The realization that Izuku had effortlessly neutralized his quirk and batted him aside with a blunt strike shattered the last remnants of Bakugo’s sanity.

"Stop playing with me!" Bakugo screamed, his voice cracking with hysteria. "Fight back! Try to cut me! Use your damn Quirk!"

Izuku stood calmly, his blades vibrating softly at his sides. "I am using my Quirk, Kacchan. But a hero does not use a lethal weapon to solve a non-lethal problem. If I try to cut you in this enclosed space, the chances of severing a major artery are seventy-four percent. I will not kill you just to satisfy your ego."

The sheer, logical disrespect of the statement pushed Bakugo over the edge.

He took a step back, grabbing the small pin on his oversized, grenade-shaped right gauntlet.

"They designed these gauntlets to store my nitroglycerin sweat," Bakugo laughed darkly, a terrifying, unhinged sound. "To let me fire it all off at once in a max-power blast."

Up in the monitor room, All Might grabbed the microphone. "Young Bakugo, stop! Are you trying to kill him?! A blast of that magnitude in a confined space will bring the building down!"

"He'll survive if he dodges!" Bakugo screamed back at the ceiling. He locked eyes with Izuku, a manic grin stretching his face. "Let's see you parry this, Deku!"

He pulled the pin.

Time seemed to slow down. Izuku saw the mechanism release. He saw the spark ignite inside the chamber.

If I dodge, Izuku calculated instantly, the blast will travel down the corridor and blow out the support pillars. The building will collapse. Uraraka is on the floor above. She will be crushed.

Dodging was not an option.

Izuku Midoriya exhaled a slow, calm breath. He widened his stance to the absolute maximum, digging the iron-reinforced toes of his heavy boots deep into the linoleum, cracking the concrete floor beneath to create a perfect anchor.

He brought both of his massive, three-foot claws in front of him, crossing them into a tight 'X' formation directly over his center of mass.

He didn't just engage Resonance. He pushed it to the absolute limit.

VMMMMMMMMMMMM!

The blades screamed, turning a brilliant, terrifying cherry-red from the friction. The heat radiating from his forearms singed the fabric of his dark green tunic. He tensed every single muscle in his torso, turning his body into an immovable fortress of iron and scales.

The explosion detonated.

It wasn't a blast; it was a roaring, blinding tidal wave of fire, pressure, and pure destruction. It filled the entire hallway, vaporizing the linoleum and shattering the windows. The shockwave hit Izuku like a localized hurricane.

The initial impact pushed Izuku backward. His boots gouged two deep, smoking trenches into the concrete floor as he slid back one foot, two feet, three feet.

But his guard held.

The crossed, super-heated vibrating blades acted like the prow of an icebreaker. They caught the center of the massive shockwave and violently sheared it apart. The inferno screamed as it was forced to split, violently washing over Izuku’s left and right sides, tearing the walls of the corridor down to their steel rebars, but leaving a perfect, narrow cone of safety directly behind his crossed blades.

In the monitor room, the screens whited out from the flash.

"MIDORIYA!" Several students screamed. All Might gripped the console, his knuckles turning white, his heart in his throat.

The blast finally ceased. The hallway was plunged into an eerie, ringing silence, choked with thick, black smoke and the orange glow of localized fires.

Bakugo stood at the end of the corridor, his right arm smoking, his chest heaving as he gasped for air. He stared into the thick smoke, a sick, hollow feeling suddenly forming in his gut. Did I... did I actually kill him?

SHING.

The sound of vibrating metal cut through the smoke like a reaper's bell.

Before Bakugo could even blink, a dark green blur burst through the wall of smoke. Izuku didn't just run; he moved with the predatory, blinding speed of a Therizinosaurus closing in on a threat.

Bakugo tried to raise his left arm, trying to spark a defensive explosion.

He was too slow.

Izuku didn't strike Bakugo's body. He moved his blades with the surgical precision of a master surgeon. His right claw flashed out, moving at blinding speed. The superheated, high-frequency blade sliced clean through the heavy metal casing of Bakugo's left gauntlet, severing the ignition mechanism and turning the weapon into useless scrap metal in a shower of sparks.

Bakugo gasped, his eyes wide in shock. He swung a wild, desperate right punch.

Izuku ducked effortlessly under the swing. He pivoted on his heel, using the rotational momentum to bring his left arm around.

Snick.

Izuku’s left blade carved through the thick storage tank of Bakugo’s right gauntlet. The hyper-dense metal sheared the entire contraption off Bakugo's arm, letting it fall heavily to the floor with a hollow clang.

Izuku completed his spin, coming to a dead, perfectly balanced stop directly behind Bakugo.

Bakugo froze.

The heavy, metallic humming of Resonance vibrated directly against his collarbone. He looked down. The razor-sharp, inner curve of Izuku’s right Therizino-Blade was resting exactly one millimeter from the soft skin of Bakugo’s throat. The metal was still glowing faintly, radiating a terrifying heat that made Bakugo sweat.

Izuku stood behind him, his breathing completely steady. Not a single drop of sweat on his brow. His dark green tunic was slightly singed at the edges, but his eyes—those terrifying, slit-pupil emerald eyes—were perfectly calm.

He hadn't touched a single hair on Bakugo's head. He had completely dismantled the boy's ultimate weapons, tanked his strongest attack, and held his life in his hands without making a single mistake.

Izuku leaned in slightly, his voice a quiet, resolute whisper over the hum of the blade.

"Villains lose, Kacchan."

Simultaneously, a voice crackled through the earpiece in Izuku’s ear.

“Midoriya! I secured the weapon! Iida is captured!” Uraraka cheered.

All Might’s voice boomed over the PA system, trembling with a mixture of sheer relief and absolute awe.

"THE... THE HERO TEAM... WIIIIIIIINS!"

Izuku slowly retracted his arm. With a smooth snikt, the terrifying scythes melted away, leaving only his scaled, human hands. He reached out and gently patted the frozen, trembling Bakugo on the shoulder.

"Good match, Kacchan," Izuku said politely, before turning and walking away through the smoke, heading up the stairs to check on Uraraka.

Bakugo stood alone in the ruined, smoldering hallway. He looked at the sliced, useless remnants of his gauntlets on the floor. For the first time in his entire life, Katsuki Bakugo felt the crushing, suffocating weight of total, indisputable defeat.

When Izuku and Uraraka returned to the monitor room, they were met with stunned silence. And then, the room erupted.

"Midoriya! That was insane!" Kirishima yelled, running up and throwing a friendly punch at Izuku’s shoulder. "You took that massive blast head-on without flinching! It was so manly, I could cry!"

"Your precision is terrifying," Yaoyorozu added, looking at him with deep respect. "To dissect a weapon mid-combat while moving at that speed... your spatial awareness is unparalleled."

Even Todoroki, the quiet, dual-haired boy in the back of the room, was staring intently at Izuku, his mismatched eyes calculating, viewing Izuku not as a classmate, but as a primary, undeniable threat.

Izuku accepted the praise with a polite bow and a gentle smile, though internally, he was analyzing his own performance. My footing slipped three feet during the impact. If the blast had been ten percent stronger, my guard would have broken. I need to ask All Might for heavier core stabilization routines.

All Might stood at the front of the room, looking at Izuku. The Number One Hero felt a profound, swelling pride. Izuku had faced the exact scenario All Might had feared—a chaotic, emotional fight against a lethal opponent—and he had not lost control. He had not let the predator out of its cage. He had remained the master of his own power.

"Excellent work, Team A!" All Might praised loudly. He then looked at Bakugo, who was standing in the back of the room, staring blankly at the floor, completely unresponsive.

All Might sighed softly. Young Bakugo has a long road ahead of him. His pride has been shattered. But for Young Midoriya...

Izuku stood among his new classmates, his hands in his pockets, listening to Uraraka excitedly explain how she used the distraction to float the capture tape around Iida's legs.

Izuku looked down at his right hand. The green scales caught the light of the monitors. He flexed his fingers, feeling the heavy, dormant metal waiting just beneath the skin.

He was not a monster. He was a hero. And he was just getting started.

The journey to the Unforeseen Simulation Joint was supposed to be a mundane field trip.

Inside the cavernous U.A. bus, the atmosphere was relaxed, filled with the idle chatter of teenagers still riding the high of their recent battle trials. Izuku sat near the middle of the bus, a slightly battered notebook resting on his lap. He was currently sketching the support items of his classmates, mentally calculating the tensile strength of Sero’s tape and the optimal firing range of Aoyama’s laser.

"Hey, Midoriya," Tsuyu Asui spoke up, her large, dark eyes blinking at him from across the aisle. "I say whatever comes to mind. Your Quirk... it’s a mutation type, ribbit. But the way you fight with it is really intense."

Izuku paused his writing. He looked up, his reptilian slit-pupils meeting her amphibious gaze. He offered a soft, polite smile. "It's a Therizinosaurus physiology mutation, Asui. The blades are a secondary manifestation."

"Call me Tsu," she corrected effortlessly. "I saw the footage from your fight with Bakugo. Those claws of yours are really scary. Like a villain's Quirk. But," she tapped a finger against her chin thoughtfully, "your vibe isn't scary at all. When you're just sitting there, you feel... safe. Like a big, scaly shield."

Eijiro Kirishima leaned over his seat, flashing a shark-toothed grin. "Right?! That's what I was thinking! My Hardening Quirk isn't exactly flashy, and sometimes I worry it’s a bit too brutal for a pro hero. But Midoriya, you’ve got these massive, deadly scythes on your arms, and you still managed to beat Bakugo without leaving a single scratch on him! That control is so manly!"

Izuku felt a faint blush touch his freckled cheeks. He rubbed the back of his neck, his thick, green-scaled forearm flexing slightly. "Thank you, Kirishima. My sensei spent a decade drilling restraint into my head. A blade is just a tool. The heart of the person wielding it determines whether it takes a life or saves one."

"Well said!" Tenya Iida praised, chopping the air with his hand.

Up front, Aizawa groaned, shifting in his seat. "Quiet down. We're here."

The Unforeseen Simulation Joint was an architectural marvel. A massive, domed structure constructed of reinforced glass and steel, it housed several distinct environmental disaster zones—a ruined city, a landslide zone, a massive mountain, and a sprawling artificial lake.

Waiting for them at the entrance was the Space Hero: Thirteen. Clad in their puffy, astronaut-like suit, Thirteen welcomed the class with a gentle bow.

"Listen closely," Thirteen said, their voice resonating softly through the suit's speakers. "As I’m sure you know, my Quirk is Black Hole. I can suck up and tear apart anything. However... it is a power that can easily be used to kill people."

The class went entirely still. Izuku stiffened. The words struck a chord deep within his chest, vibrating with the same frequency as his own anxieties.

"Some of you have Quirks that are similarly dangerous," Thirteen continued, looking over the students. "In our superhuman society, Quirks are heavily restricted and monitored to prevent catastrophe. But please do not forget that many of you possess powers that, with one wrong step, can end a life. Aizawa's physical tests taught you your potential. All Might's battle trials taught you combat against others. Here, you will learn how to use those dangerous powers to save lives."

Izuku squeezed his fists. To save lives. Not to destroy.

"That's all!" Thirteen bowed. "Thank you for listening!"

The class erupted into applause. Izuku was just opening his mouth to add his own cheer when the lights inside the massive dome suddenly flickered.

A low, electrical hum echoed through the facility. The massive fountain in the center of the central plaza sputtered, the water pressure dropping instantly before the stream completely died.

Aizawa’s head snapped toward the plaza. His lethargic posture vanished in a microsecond, replaced by the terrifying, coiled tension of a predator. "Gather together and stay put!" he barked, his scarf uncoiling around his neck like a nest of vipers. "Thirteen, protect the students!"

Izuku stepped forward, his slit-pupils dilating as he tracked Aizawa’s gaze.

Down in the central plaza, a vortex of dark, purple mist began to swirl. It expanded rapidly, tearing a hole in the very fabric of the air. From the shadowy depths of the portal, a hand emerged—pale, sickly, and covered in disembodied hands. A lanky young man with light blue hair stepped through, followed by a hulking, bird-headed monstrosity with an exposed, throbbing brain.

And then came the others. Dozens, then hundreds of figures poured out of the mist, wielding rusted pipes, machetes, and mutated Quirks.

"What is that?" Kirishima squinted. "Is this like the entrance exam? Has the training started?"

"Don't move!" Aizawa roared, sliding his yellow goggles over his eyes. "Those are villains!"

The word hit the students like a physical blow. The air in the USJ suddenly felt suffocatingly cold. Izuku’s heart hammered against his ribs. He looked at the mob. They weren't robots. They were living, breathing humans. Humans who had come to kill them.

Analyze, Izuku’s mind commanded, forcing his martial training to override his panic. A coordinated infiltration of a highly secure U.A. facility. They bypassed the external sensors. A warp Quirk. They brought an army. Their objective isn't a simple robbery. You don't bring an army unless you are hunting something massive.

"Thirteen, begin evacuation. Try calling the school. These villains even had something to counteract the sensors," Aizawa instructed, leaping down the massive staircase toward the mob. "I'm going in."

Izuku watched Aizawa plunge into the sea of villains. The underground hero was brilliant, using his capture weapon and erasure to dismantle the thugs without using lethal force. But there were too many.

"We need to go!" Iida shouted, waving his arms.

Before the class could turn toward the exit, the purple mist materialized directly in front of them, blocking the heavy steel doors. The mist coalesced into a tall, shadowy figure with glowing yellow eyes.

"Greetings," the mist villain spoke, his voice polite but chilling. "We are the League of Villains. Forgive our audacity, but today, we have come to U.A. High School... to extinguish the Symbol of Peace."

Izuku’s breath hitched. They're here for All Might.

"However, he is not here," Kurogiri mused. "No matter. My role remains the same. I will scatter you children and torture you to death."

Bakugo and Kirishima didn't wait. With synchronized roars of defiance, they launched themselves at the mist villain, Bakugo unleashing a massive explosion that shook the entrance facility.

"Did you think we'd just stand here?!" Bakugo grinned savagely through the smoke.

But as the smoke cleared, Kurogiri was completely unharmed. The physical attacks had phased right through his gaseous body.

"Danger. That was very close," Kurogiri purred. "But you are merely children. Allow me to introduce you to your graves."

The purple mist exploded outward, rushing over the students like a tidal wave.

Izuku tried to anchor himself, digging his heavy boots into the floor, but the mist wasn't a physical force; it was a spatial tear. The ground vanished beneath his feet. The lights of the entrance hall were replaced by blinding, disorienting darkness.

When the world reappeared, Izuku was in freefall.

Below him was the churning, artificial water of the Shipwreck Zone.

Izuku braced himself for the impact. He hit the water hard, sinking rapidly beneath the surface. Instantly, panic flared. His Quirk physiology was a nightmare for aquatic environments. The extreme density of his muscle fibers and the heavy, metallic housing of his un-deployed blades in his forearms made him sink like a stone.

He kicked his massive legs, fighting the water pressure, but his progress was agonizingly slow.

Through the murky blue water, shadows darted toward him. A villain with a shark mutation bared rows of razor-sharp teeth, rocketing toward Izuku’s blind spot.

Before Izuku could react, something wrapped tightly around his waist. It was long, green, and incredibly strong. With a massive jerk, Izuku was yanked backward, slicing through the water at blistering speed. He broke the surface, gasping for air, and was unceremoniously hurled through the air.

He landed with a heavy, deck-shattering thud on the deck of a faux passenger ship bobbing in the center of the lake. Mineta landed a second later, screaming in terror. Tsuyu vaulted over the railing, landing in a perfect, three-point frog crouch.

"Are you two okay, ribbit?" she asked.

"Y-Yeah. Thank you, Asui. Your mobility in the water is incredible," Izuku coughed, standing up. He shook the water from his green hair, his slit-pupils immediately scanning the surrounding water.

Dozens of aquatic-mutant villains were circling the boat, their fins cutting through the surface like a pack of starving wolves.

"We're surrounded!" Mineta shrieked, pulling at his purple, grape-like hair. "They're gonna eat us! I'm too young to die! I haven't even touched Yaoyorozu's boobs yet!"

"Mineta, silence," Izuku ordered. His voice wasn't loud, but it carried a cold, absolute authority that made the shorter boy snap his mouth shut instantly.

Izuku stepped to the edge of the ship, looking down into the water. "They're waiting. Why?"

"They probably don't know our Quirks, ribbit," Tsuyu deduced. "If they knew I was a frog, they wouldn't have warped me to the water zone."

"Exactly," Izuku nodded, his analytical mind rapidly compiling data. "They split us up randomly to confuse us. They want us to make the first move so they can counter it. But we have a severe disadvantage. My Quirk is close-quarters bladed combat. If I deploy my claws underwater, the drag of the water against the flat of the three-foot blades will reduce my swing speed by over seventy percent. I won't be able to generate enough momentum to fight them."

Mineta began crying again. "So you're useless?! We're dead!"

"I didn't say I was useless," Izuku said softly.

He raised his arms. SNIKT.

The three-foot, gunmetal-grey Therizino-Blades erupted from his wrists, locking into place with a terrifying, metallic finality. Mineta yelped, falling backward at the sheer size of the weapons.

Izuku looked at the villains below. "They are living humans. I cannot slice them. The water will dilute the blood; I won't be able to gauge the severity of the wounds. I have to use blunt force."

"How are you going to do that if the water slows you down?" Tsuyu asked, tilting her head.

Izuku turned to her, his green eyes glowing fiercely. "I don't need to swing my arms. I just need to spin." He looked at Mineta. "Mineta. Your Pop-Off spheres stick to anything, correct?"

"Y-Yeah! Except me!" Mineta sobbed.

"Good. Gather as many as you can. When the villains are clumped together, throw them. Tsu, when I give the signal, grab Mineta and jump to the shallow water."

Before either of them could question him, Izuku stepped onto the railing of the ship.

"Hey! The green kid is coming down!" one of the villains laughed from the water. "Tear him apart!"

Izuku leaped off the ship, plunging into the water.

The villains immediately swarmed him. But Izuku didn't try to swim. He sank, letting his heavy physiology drag him down about ten feet below the surface. He extended his arms straight out to his sides, locking his shoulders and elbows.

Resonance: Maximum Frequency.

The blades didn't just vibrate; they screamed. The water immediately surrounding the super-heated metal instantly boiled, creating millions of tiny bubbles.

Then, Izuku used the massive, coiled muscles of his dinosaur-like core and legs. He began to spin his body.

He didn't swing his arms; he kept them perfectly straight, acting as the rotors of a human motor. Thanks to the extreme vibration reducing the water resistance by creating a super-cavitating layer of steam around the metal, Izuku spun faster and faster. He became a submerged, high-speed turbine.

The physics were undeniable. The massive, flat sides of his three-foot blades displaced thousands of gallons of water per second.

Above him, the calm surface of the lake violently collapsed in on itself.

"What the hell?!" a villain screamed as the water beneath him began to rotate.

A massive whirlpool formed in the center of the Shipwreck Zone. The current was incredibly powerful, generating a terrifying undertow. The aquatic villains, caught entirely off guard by the sudden, violent shift in currents, were sucked helplessly into the swirling vortex.

They spun out of control, dragged down into the center of the whirlpool where Izuku was spinning.

As they were sucked into his range, Izuku didn't cut them. He calculated the rotation perfectly, angling the blunt, flat outer edges of his massive claws to meet their bodies as they were pulled in.

THWACK. THWACK. THWACK.

The blunt-force impacts underwater were devastating. The flat metal struck the villains' heads and torsos with the force of a swinging baseball bat, instantly knocking them unconscious.

"Now, Mineta!" Tsuyu shouted from the boat.

Mineta, fueled by sheer terror and adrenaline, began ripping the sticky purple spheres from his head, hurling them rapidly into the churning whirlpool.

The unconscious villains, spinning helplessly in the vortex, were pelted by the sticky balls. Because they were being smashed together by the current, the spheres acted like super-glue. Within seconds, a massive, tangled ball of unconscious, glued-together villains bobbed in the center of the whirlpool.

Izuku stopped spinning. He retracted his blades, allowing his momentum to slow. His lungs were burning. He kicked off the clump of villains, breaking the surface and gasping for air.

A long green tongue wrapped around his waist, pulling him out of the water and onto the edge of the plaza shoreline, where Tsuyu and Mineta had safely landed.

Izuku collapsed onto his hands and knees, coughing up a lungful of water. His core screamed in agony from the sheer rotational torque he had just subjected it to.

"Midoriya! That was incredible!" Mineta cheered, his confidence suddenly returning. "You turned yourself into a human blender!"

Izuku waved a scaly hand, trying to catch his breath. "Calculated... risk. Are you two unhurt?"

"We're fine, ribbit," Tsuyu said, though her eyes were fixed on the central plaza a few hundred yards away. "But Mr. Aizawa isn't."

Izuku forced himself to stand, wiping his mouth. He looked toward the plaza.

His blood ran cold.

Aizawa was a master of combat, but he was exhausted. His movements were sluggish. And standing before him was the blue-haired villain, Shigaraki.

Izuku watched in horror as Shigaraki’s hand shot out, grabbing Aizawa’s elbow. Aizawa’s eyes widened. In a matter of seconds, the fabric of Aizawa’s sleeve, and the flesh, muscle, and bone beneath it, began to crumble into dust.

Aizawa screamed, throwing a desperate punch, but the hulking, bird-headed Nomu suddenly materialized behind him. The beast didn't even flinch. It grabbed Aizawa by the head and slammed him face-first into the concrete with a sickening CRUNCH.

Izuku’s heart stopped.

The Nomu pinned the underground hero, breaking Aizawa's arm with a casual, sickening snap. Blood pooled on the concrete.

"Eraser Head," Shigaraki scratched his neck furiously. "You're cool. But you're just a man. And against Nomu, the anti-Symbol of Peace... you're nothing."

Mineta clamped his hands over his mouth, tears streaming down his face. "He's gonna die... Mr. Aizawa is gonna die!"

Izuku’s mind raced. Retreat. We need to go get the teachers. I am a student. I am unauthorized to engage in lethal combat. My blades... if I fight that monster, I will have to cut it. I will have to kill it.

His sensei’s voice echoed in his head. The mind is the sheath. Do not let the predator loose.

But then, Shigaraki turned his head. His crazed, crimson eyes locked onto the three students hiding at the edge of the plaza.

"Ah. More kids," Shigaraki whispered.

In a burst of speed that defied logic, Shigaraki crossed the distance. He materialized directly in front of them, his hand reaching out, fingers splayed, aiming dead center for Tsuyu’s face.

Time slowed to an agonizing crawl. Izuku saw the dust falling from Shigaraki's decaying lips. He saw the terror in Tsuyu’s wide eyes. He knew what that hand did. If all five fingers touched her, she would crumble into ash.

In that fraction of a microsecond, the psychological chains Izuku Midoriya had spent ten years wrapping around his Quirk shattered into a million pieces.

The sheath broke. The predator woke up.

Izuku didn't think about U.A. regulations. He didn't think about his image. He didn't think about holding back.

His emerald eyes flared. The slit-pupils constricted until they were nothing more than razor-thin lines of absolute, primal violence.

SNIKT.

The massive blades deployed.

Izuku’s thick, Therizinosaurus legs fired. The concrete beneath his boots didn't just crack; it exploded into dust from the sheer kinetic force of his launch.

Shigaraki’s hand was an inch from Tsuyu’s face.

A flash of gunmetal grey and green scales blurred through the air.

SHING.

Shigaraki felt a sudden, sharp sting on his right wrist. His hand was violently knocked away, the kinetic force spinning him around. He stumbled back, blinking in confusion.

He looked down at his wrist. There was a thin, perfect red line traced across his pale skin. A shallow cut, exactly one millimeter deep, perfectly avoiding the major veins and tendons.

He looked up.

Standing between him and the frog girl was the green-haired boy.

Izuku was no longer in his relaxed, polite stance. He was hunched forward, his center of gravity dropped incredibly low. His three-foot, metal scythes were fully extended, gleaming menacingly. His breathing was slow, deep, and rhythmic. The aura rolling off the boy was suffocating. It wasn't the heroic pressure of All Might; it was the cold, clinical, terrifying presence of an apex predator that had just designated its prey.

"If you touch her," Izuku’s voice was a low, mechanical growl that didn't sound entirely human. "I will sever your hand at the wrist. And I will not cauterize the wound."

Shigaraki stared at the boy. For a fleeting second, genuine shock pierced his arrogance. He's fast. Faster than I could see. And that cut... he didn't miss. He held back on purpose. He used a lethal Quirk to deliver a warning.

"Kurogiri," Shigaraki muttered, a manic, enraged smile stretching his cracked lips. "This one's a cheat code. He's got a villain's eyes."

Shigaraki pointed a pale finger at Izuku. "Nomu. Smash him."

Behind them, the bird-headed monstrosity released the broken body of Aizawa. It stood up, its exposed brain throbbing. With a screech that sounded like tearing metal, the Nomu launched itself at Izuku.

"Get back!" Izuku roared at Tsuyu and Mineta.

Izuku brought his massive blades up in a cross-guard just as the Nomu slammed into him.

The impact was apocalyptic. The sheer physical force of the Nomu was equivalent to a freight train. Izuku’s iron-soled boots gouged deep, screaming trenches into the plaza concrete as he was pushed back ten, twenty, thirty feet. The shockwave of the collision blew the surrounding debris into the air.

Izuku grunted, his teeth gritted, blood rushing to his head. His core, hardened by ten months of All Might's hellish training, held the line. His heavy, mutated bone structure absorbed the blunt impact that would have shattered a normal human into paste.

He broke the lock, parrying the Nomu’s heavy arms away with the flat of his blades, and backflipped to create distance.

The Nomu didn't pause. It charged again, throwing a massive right hook.

Analyze, Izuku’s mind raced, his eyes tracking the muscle spasms in the beast's arm. It's physically on par with All Might. Aizawa couldn't erase its power. That means its strength isn't an emitter Quirk; it's a bio-engineered mutation. Pure, raw muscle mass.

Izuku ducked under the punch, the wind pressure from the Nomu's fist ripping a chunk out of his sleeve. Izuku pivoted, swinging his left claw horizontally, aiming the blunt side at the Nomu's ribs to test its durability.

CLANG.

The heavy metal struck the beast's side with enough force to shatter a bank vault.

The Nomu didn't even flinch. It didn't step back. It just looked down at Izuku and swung its other fist.

Izuku barely managed to block it, the force sending him skidding across the plaza. He breathed heavily, his mind working at lightspeed.

Blunt force is useless. It absorbed the kinetic energy perfectly. Shock Absorption Quirk. Izuku’s eyes narrowed, his gaze trailing over the Nomu's massive, bulging muscles. But it has joints. It has tendons. Shock absorption nullifies blunt impacts, but it cannot stop a localized, high-pressure wedge.

It cannot stop a blade.

Izuku planted his feet. He took a deep breath.

"I'm sorry, Sensei," Izuku whispered to the empty air. "I have to take the sheath off."

Izuku engaged Resonance. But he didn't hold it at the normal, safe frequency. He pushed it. He pushed the micro-vibrations in his forearms until his own muscles screamed in protest.

VMMMMMMMMMMMM!

The three-foot Therizino-Blades didn't just hum; they shrieked. The metal glowed a blinding, vicious orange. The heat radiating from the blades was so intense it began to singe the concrete beneath his feet.

The Nomu roared, charging forward for a grapple.

Izuku didn't brace for impact. He attacked.

He launched himself forward, utilizing his Capoeira-inspired footwork. He dropped into a slide, moving incredibly low to the ground. The Nomu swung its massive arms down to crush him.

Izuku spun like a breakdancer, his heavy legs carrying his momentum. He swung his right, super-heated blade upward in a vicious, blinding arc. He didn't use the flat side. He used the razor-sharp inner curve.

SHING.

There was no resistance. The high-frequency, hyper-dense metal sliced through the Nomu's right bicep like a hot wire through wax. It didn't just cut the skin; it severed the massive, bulging muscle completely off the bone.

Black blood erupted into the air. The Nomu's right arm fell limp, useless.

Shigaraki gasped, his eyes widening. "What?!"

But the Nomu didn't feel pain. It immediately swung its left fist at Izuku's head.

Izuku rolled out of the way, popping up onto his feet behind the beast. He didn't stop moving. To fight an opponent with superior strength, you cannot let them anchor themselves.

"Biology dictates function!" Izuku yelled, his voice cutting through the mechanical screech of his blades. He swung his left claw low, sweeping behind the Nomu's legs.

SHING. SHING.

In two blindingly fast, precise strikes, Izuku severed the Achilles tendons on both of the Nomu's ankles.

The massive beast lost its footing entirely, collapsing backward onto its knees with a heavy thud.

Izuku retracted his blades, stepping back, breathing heavily. If I disable its locomotion, it can't—

Before the thought could finish, the flesh on the Nomu's severed bicep began to violently bubble and writhe. In a matter of seconds, the muscle fibers reconnected. The severed Achilles tendons snapped back together. The beast stood back up, completely healed, its dead eyes locking onto Izuku.

"Super Regeneration," Shigaraki cackled, dancing a little jig of morbid joy. "Nomu has Shock Absorption and Super Regeneration! You can't beat him, you little slasher! He's built to withstand a hundred percent of All Might's power! Your little knives are useless!"

Izuku stared at the fully healed monster. A normal fourteen-year-old would have broken down in despair.

Izuku Midoriya just adjusted his grip.

Super Regeneration, Izuku analyzed, his slit-pupils tracking the faint steam rising from the Nomu's healed wounds. It's fast. But it's a biological process. It requires cellular division. It requires time.

Izuku looked at Shigaraki, his glowing green eyes completely devoid of fear. "He heals fast. But can he heal faster than I can cut?"

Shigaraki stopped laughing.

Izuku exploded.

He didn't just move; he became a blur of green scales, dark fabric, and screaming, red-hot metal. The air in the plaza filled with the deafening, high-pitched shriek of Resonance.

The Nomu threw a punch. Izuku parried the massive fist by slicing the triceps mid-swing, deadening the blow, before spinning and carving a deep, smoking trench across the beast's chest.

The Nomu healed, swinging its other arm.

Izuku ducked, his heavy legs launching him into a breathtaking aerial twist. He severed the radial nerves in both of the Nomu's forearms, landed on the beast's massive shoulders, and drove a vibrating blade deep into its trapezius muscle, forcing it to drop to one knee.

"Get him off!" Shigaraki screamed, watching his ultimate weapon get systematically dismantled in real-time.

The Nomu reached up to grab Izuku.

Izuku kicked off the beast's head, backflipping through the air. But as he landed, he didn't retreat. He kept the momentum going. He was a gyroscope of pure, lethal destruction. Every time the Nomu tried to take a step, Izuku severed its patellar tendon. Every time it tried to swing, Izuku severed its deltoids.

Black blood rained down on the plaza, instantly vaporized by the heat of Izuku’s blades. The smell of ozone and burnt flesh was overpowering.

Izuku turned the fight into a brutal, terrifying math equation. Swing speed versus cellular regeneration.

He pushed his muscles past their limits. He swung his three-foot scythes five times a second, ten times a second. He was a storm of blades. The Nomu was paralyzed, unable to complete a single physical action before the necessary muscle group was surgically detached from its skeleton.

Shigaraki took a terrified step backward, watching the green-haired boy turn his unkillable monster into a helpless, twitching mess. He's not a hero, Shigaraki thought, his mind breaking at the sight. He's a butcher.

Izuku was panting, his arms burning with lactic acid, the heat of the blades threatening to singe his own scaled flesh. It's working. But I can't keep this up forever. I need a localized, overwhelming strike to bury it before it can heal.

Izuku backed away, putting twenty feet between himself and the regenerating Nomu.

The beast stood up, its flesh bubbling rapidly as it knitted itself back together. It roared, a sound of mindless fury, and charged one last time.

Izuku dropped his center of gravity to the absolute floor. He dug his iron boots into the concrete, anchoring his massive, dinosaur-thick legs. He crossed his super-heated, vibrating claws over his chest in a tight 'X' formation.

He didn't just vibrate the metal. He threw every ounce of raw kinetic energy in his body into his core.

Therizino Style...

The Nomu was ten feet away, its massive fists raised.

Cretaceous Cross:

Izuku violently swung both arms outward in a massive, devastating cross-slash.

EXTINCTION LEVEL!

He didn't hit the Nomu with the metal. He hit it with the air.

The sheer physical force of the swing, combined with the extreme heat and hyper-frequency vibration of the three-foot heavy blades, created an absolute vacuum.

Two crescent-shaped blades of hyper-compressed, super-heated wind pressure exploded from Izuku’s claws. They formed a massive, glowing, transparent 'X' that tore through the air with a deafening sonic boom.

The wind-slash slammed into the charging Nomu.

The impact defied physics. The localized vacuum didn't just cut the beast; it violently displaced the air, creating a shockwave that shredded the Nomu's muscle fibers on a cellular level. The sheer concussive force of the wind carried the beast off its feet.

The cross-slash pinned the Nomu, carrying its massive body backward through the air. It flew across the plaza, slamming into the reinforced concrete wall of the USJ facility.

The wind pressure ground into the wall, burying the paralyzed, regenerating mess of the Nomu ten feet deep into the solid concrete, completely trapping it in a crater of its own shattered body.

Silence descended upon the USJ.

The only sound was the hiss of steam rising from the crater in the wall, and the heavy, ragged breathing of Izuku Midoriya.

Izuku stood in his follow-through stance, his arms extended. The metal of his claws was glowing a dull cherry-red, cooling rapidly in the ambient air. He slowly retracted them, the heavy weapons melting back into the slits on his forearms with a wet snikt.

His arms were trembling violently. His dark green tunic was soaked in sweat and stained with spots of black blood. He turned his head slowly, his glowing emerald eyes, still narrowed into terrifying slits, locking onto Shigaraki.

Shigaraki Tomura was trembling. He looked at the crater in the wall, and then at the fourteen-year-old boy.

"You..." Shigaraki stammered, his bravado entirely shattered. "You're not a hero... you're a monster..."

Izuku stood up straight. He looked at Shigaraki, his voice utterly devoid of warmth. "I am a hero. And I have determined that you are no longer a threat."

"Shigaraki Tomura!" Kurogiri materialized beside the pale villain, his yellow eyes wide. "We must retreat! The boy has neutralized the Nomu, and the U.A. faculty will be here any moment! If you fight him, he will kill you!"

Shigaraki gripped his own arms, scratching his neck so hard it bled. He couldn't take his eyes off Izuku. The boy wasn't even in a combat stance anymore. He was just standing there, a mountain of quiet, absolute violence.

"I'll kill you..." Shigaraki whispered, stepping into the warp gate. "Next time, you green freak... I'll turn you to dust."

The purple mist swallowed Shigaraki and Kurogiri, vanishing from the plaza without a trace.

Izuku stood perfectly still for a long moment. He listened to the silence. He made sure there were no more threats.

Then, the adrenaline crashed.

Izuku’s knees buckled. He fell to the concrete, his thick legs no longer able to support his weight. The sheer physical toll of swinging the heavy metal at maximum frequency for that long was unimaginable. His muscles screamed, feeling as though they had been filled with lead.

"Midoriya!"

Tsuyu and Mineta sprinted across the ruined plaza, falling to their knees beside him.

"Are you okay, ribbit?!" Tsuyu asked, her voice trembling with genuine concern.

Izuku looked up at her. The terrifying, primal slits in his eyes slowly widened, softening back into the large, round, gentle emerald eyes of a teenage boy. He let out a shaky breath, a weak, reassuring smile touching his lips.

"I'm okay, Tsu," he whispered. "Is Mr. Aizawa alive?"

Before she could answer, the massive steel doors at the entrance of the USJ were blown off their hinges.

"I HAD A BAD FEELING, SO I TORE AWAY FROM MY CHATS!"

All Might stood in the doorway, heaving, his face devoid of its usual smile. He radiated an aura of pure, unadulterated fury. Behind him stood Nezu, Snipe, and several other pro heroes.

All Might looked down at the plaza. He saw the unconscious villains. He saw Aizawa broken on the ground. And then he saw the massive crater in the wall, housing the twitching remains of a bio-engineered monster.

And finally, he saw his pupil, sitting exhausted on the ground, his green scales catching the dim light.

All Might leaped down, landing with a gentle thud beside Izuku. He looked at the boy, taking in the blood and the burns.

"Young Midoriya..." All Might whispered, his voice cracking with emotion. "You held the line."

Izuku looked up at his idol, his vision blurring slightly from exhaustion. "I didn't kill it, All Might. I just... I cut it enough to make it stop."

All Might knelt down, wrapping a massive, gentle arm around Izuku’s shoulders, pulling the boy against his side.

"You did perfectly, my boy," All Might said, looking at the crater with awe. "You protected your friends. You are a hero."

As the medics rushed in to tend to Aizawa, Izuku leaned his head against All Might's side, finally allowing his eyes to close. He had let the predator out of its cage, but he had not let it consume him. He had proven to himself, and to the world, that his scythes were capable of cutting through the darkest of nightmares.
